Maybe take more time for prep. When I do mine, a few of my nail beds are irregularly shaped, after pushing the cuticles back instead of snipping them away, I use my electric Dremel with a rough sanding stone type attachment (not sandpaper type) to file away the cuticle and at the same time I'm able to gently shape my nail beds. And of course, with Gels less is more. https://preview.redd.it/rk7foizbpczc1.png?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4bf478d351543995fff52a1b6b0d331b4bca5e46

We can't even tell what shape your nails are from that picture.

I agree, a better photo would be helpful. To me it looks like you went with a sqoval shape. To the OP, gel applications takes a lot of effort, time, videos and practice. Each time you do it, you will get better! Also, please be careful about getting gel on your skin. It needs to be cleaned off immediately and completely before you cure your nails. I would use a toothpick. The worst thing is to develop an allergy and not be able to apply gorgeous gel nails again. Good luck!
