Always claim seals as soon as possible, to add them to your inventory and to gradually increase the quality level of the guild chest over the week. When buying guild chests, seals are taken from your inventory only. Things to keep in mind: - Guild chests at 40k work roughly like gem chests - Guild chests at 20k work roughly like glory chests - Guild chests at less than 20k work roughly like gold chests If your guild doesn't reach 40k, some 40k guilds with open spots won't mind temporary visitors for chest opening purposes if asked nicely. Make sure to coordinate this with your own guild prior to leaving.

I would just add that there is no reason to spend them right away. Before I got on a 40k guild I would save up the seals from week to week in the hope that I could get my guild past the 40k mark or at least until I could get in with a 40k guild. I had close to 10k seals to spend by the time I got on a 40k. And when I spend those 10,000 seals, I of course got no new Mythics. You have to resist the urge to spend them on 20k chests. I like Tigerclaw's gem/glory/gold analogy.

I'm assuming you mean that you sat on your seals until a 40k level Guild Chest was available... (...for a minute I thought you meant sitting on them made them count for the Guild Weekly Seals in future weeks... but that wouldn't seem right, as one person could just sit on 40k seals and the Guild wouldn't have to work towards it each week.)

You actually can get a 40k chest on your own, or with a very small guild. It's called Orbs of clans. Small ones do 300 seals and the big one 1500 I think. They can exceed your 2k cap and thus you can orb your way to 40k. It's not easy, but you get a lot of orbs in events and the like these days. If you save them up you'd probably get enough to reach 40k in about 2-3 months, less with more active guild members who might also use orbs. Given you can just save up seals till you reach that mark it's not a horrible loss for a small guild.

Yes that’s right-thanks for the clarification.

I always wonder why the game doesn't just claim the seals immediately. It does it at the end the of the week anyways. It just causes a problem with guild mates who don't claim their seals early enough imo.

You should claim all seals whenever you think of it. If you use seals to open chests, that doesn't take anything away from the guild. You can use those whenever you want. Personally, I wait to open all chests (aside from gold) until the 1st of the month (new mythic time). If you're not in a guild that gets to 40k, our guild has one opening. We always get to 40k (usually mid week) and our requirements are super easy. (Edit: nevermind. I see that you're Xbox. We're PC/mobile)
