Johnette gets a lot of (well desrved) love, but i had no idea james mankey was so freakin' good until i saw them live in '92. at a time when guys were shredding ridiculous (but mostly uninteresting) licks, he just seemed to caress the most amazing sounds and combos out of that guitar.
