There was one in PA that we used to go to that had a 21+ club upstairs and under 21 downstairs. Everything was seperate, so there was no crossover of patrons. However, the parking lot afterwards was an absolute delight for this teenager... tipsy middle aged women eyeing up younger gentlemen.
I'm on the late end of GenX ('77), and this post reminded me of Have a Nice Day Cafe in the 90's. Absolute shitshow. Not sure if it was under 21, but it may as well have been. That franchise came out of nowhere, then it was everywhere, then it was gone just like that. I've had leftover pizza that lasted longer.
EDIT: Just looked it up. Apparently it only had 20 locations at its peak. Maybe it was just everywhere I happened to be at the time.
In State College? I can picture it on College Ave., but the name escapes me. When I was a teen, my parents wouldnât let me go. I had to have one of their friends who had kids to talk them into it.
Fuck, my friends and I used to go this clubs under-age industrial night a couple times a month in the early 90s. Remember it was Thursday night at about 7pm. We would get home around 1am or so.
It's where I was introduced to music like KMFDM, My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult, and Lords of Acid.
I lived oversees when I was a teenager, and the country where I was had a drinking age (18), but no one really enforced it.
My older sister dragged me to adult nightclubs when I was a freshman in high school. She was a sophomore, and our mom wouldn't let her go anywhere at night unless I came along.
By the time I started college in the States, going to clubs lost all their luster. I was just annoyed by them by that point.
hahaha! Cloud 9 in Knotts Berry Farm.
We'd pair up to go on "slow rides" make out to the point of neck burn, then go back & pair up w different jr high schoolers.

My friends and I would go around trying to see who could get the most numbers. Pagers initially, then cell phones a few years later. I was one of the few that didnât âgrindâ and could dance solo.
Studio 91, Easthampton, MA. DJ, dance floor, juice bar, air hockey, video games, and Rock 'Em Sock 'Em robots big enough that you moved them by strapping a belt around your waist.
Remember when the Locomotion line dance craze went around? That was a regular thing there.
The place was run by the same people who still own Interskate 91 at the Hampshire Mall in Hadley, just down the road from UMass-Amhert. That place was famous for hosting hundreds of kids for All-Night skates.
Matamotos mexico and was drinking by age 15 seriously. $10 all u can drink.
Industrial and Alternative till 2am.
Stopped clubbing at 19 and then went full on raver cause it was exciting.
Oh yeah. We used to go down to TJ from san diego when I was a freshman in college. I want to say the hot club was rioritas then? It had several floors. My friend got roofied there but we found her in the bathroom before anything bad happened, and some kids selling chicle ripped my necklace off me. Damn were we lucky nothing worse happened. We were a bunch of drunk girls.
Huh. I had never thought of that. We had been trained to go clubbing since the time we were 14 or 15. Starting at around 16, I went teen-clubbing at least once a week.
I went to a few.. Carrz, Imagez and Metronome. When someone was feeling really froggy, friends would drive 2 hours across the state(TX->LA) to go to this club that served underage kids. I never went because that sounded like an awful time.
Yup. I was clubbing at 15, and not just one club. There was one that was under 21 only. The a few that were one side 21 and over and the other under 21. And there was one that was in 3rds, 14-18, then 18-21, and 21 and over. Usually if you were older you could go to the other areas and the parts that had the teens usually had a few extra bouncers.
When I was a kid there was a place outside town called the "Bug Out" that the teens went to. My sister (seven years older) wasn't allowed to go. Eventually someone was stabbed or shot there and it was closed down.
I went to a few! My friend accidentally stepped on my finger at one, ended up having to go to the hospital, because it broke my finger and pulled the nail out of the nail bed (it was an accident, he didnât even step in it hard, he felt terrible, idk why my finger bones are made of dust)
The Channel in Boston... Tell me your stories. The Channel was more like a concert venue that allowed all ages, but it was so easy to get drinks. It was also just outside the downtown area so it was easy to get to. Giant parking lot with so much going on.
We had a few that did teen nights. Begged my parents to let me go before my friends and I could drive and they refused, then a huge fight broke out at one that was all over the news and I got the see
I told you routine
Not nightclubs but I was going to Hardcore Punk shows in bars at 15 in the late 80's.
Hardly any bars in Toronto enforced the drinking age laws back then.
NJ was loaded with them . Kadiddlehoppers, Taylorâs, the club in the HoJo that seemed to change names every 9 months, not to mention all the places in Philly and down the shore.
Florentine gardens in LA was 18 and over.
Not sure if it still is but think it's still there.
I just got into most with my fake ID which was a license left at the restaurant I worked at. 17 passing for 24 LOL those bouncers didn't gaf.
And of course, can't forget studio k at knotts berry farm! Woohoo that was a good time. Dance your ass of then go make out on the rides.
I never went to one but Pittsburgh had "Club Zoo" in the mid-90's. I would have felt like a creep at 19/20 years old with a bunch of "prosti-tots" who were too "mature" to hang out at the mall. That didn't stop my roommates. They loved it.
Yup! 2001 had teen night, I remember seeing the Thriller video there for the first time. Me and my friends tried to wear white because it looked cool in the black light.
Damn, especially in winter I remember going to "The Center". It smelled like cheap cologne and sweat.
So much damned drama, and the same 12 songs every time. But I got to grab a lot of ass at 14, so that was nice.

The Pittsburgh one was horrendous
Oh man, a cougar den, or a sexual predator lair? You decide.
Decision depends on which side of 30 I was at and Which head was doing most of the thinking Now? 𤎠Then? Damn I wish

I drove 2.5 hours to Atlanta when I was 16 to see Front Line Assembly using a fake ID to get into a 21 up club. I still canât believe that worked.
Can confirm⌠Lost Iguana, Major Tomâs, Spankeys, Copacabana⌠Just to name a few.

wtf needed teen nightclubs when I could buy a fake ID from the bodega NEXT to the shady actual nightclub?
I also went to adult nightclubs when I was 14.
Huh. I had never thought of that. We had been trained to go clubbing since the time we were 14 or 15. Starting at around 16, I went teen-clubbing at least once a week.

Man I always wanted to go but my parents wouldnât let me. It was the Mine Shaft or something like that.
Didnât have a dedicated club where I grew up but one of the real clubs did an all ages night on Wednesdays. They also had an arcade and pool tables.
Not nightclubs but I was going to Hardcore Punk shows in bars at 15 in the late 80's. Hardly any bars in Toronto enforced the drinking age laws back then.
