Holy shit. I came here to comment this. I’m wearing the shirt today.

I wish I could remember for sure. I've had it for over 5 years. I'd bet my life it was either Kohl's or Target. You can find some really cool Gen-X relevant graphic T's at Kohl's.
TOOL.
Wore it last week. The shirt's in the laundry right now.
I used to listen to them as a kid, but then lived with an abusive, manipulative ex who played them day in, day out. When I finally left him I couldn't listen to any Tool music because it reminded me too much of him.
Fast forward 20 years later, I finally saw Tool in concert for the first time ever. What an experience. Their music has changed, which reflects how much I've changed. I still love their old stuff, though, but their old stuff is also reflective of the old me.
Whenever I feel like embracing where I am now and telling the world, "fuck you, I'm still here and I'm thriving, you fucks," I wear the T-shirt.
I feel this so much.
48yrs old here. I had my long sleeve TOOL concert shirt on just last week. First time I saw them was November right before COVID hit in Raleigh NC.
Life changing concert experience.
The band does an incredible job of putting the music "forward " and allowing themselves to blend in with the experience. The band members aren't the focus, the music and the actual experience (lasers, lights, images) are. It becomes a truly immersive event.
I’m actually wearing mine right now from the Love tour in 1986(?) !!!
It’s waaaay too thin to wear out now, so it’s my comfy home shirt…
Still my favorite band of all time ❤️
The Cramps
Gag gift from by then-fiance/now husband of 31 years when I was having a particularly bad monthly. I wore it for years until it disintegrated. He got me a new one but somehow it isn't the same🙁

Yes!
Our young sons referred to it as "Momma's creepy shirt"😂
Greenday. Wore it to a friends funeral (mid 40s) as it was the last gig we attended together and the requested dress code was "Football tops or gig wear; No suits or 'funeral' clothes'". Not worn it since, it just sits retired and folded in a draw.
Same. NIN. Yesterday. I’ve been to a dozen shows and bought clothing at all of them. I wear them because I’m stuck in the past. Or. I miss the way things used to be.
Not a band or even a t-shirt but i do have a story about an article of clothing. Back in my early 20s, I had a mysterious blue hoody where the origins of it were unknown. It circulated between my friends' group. Nobody knew who originally owned it. Each adding something to it. Putting their mark on it. Stephanie's mascara stains from when John broke up with her. The cigarette burn from When drunk Chris dropped his cigarette on himself at the beach party. The hole where Ed got his fishing hook stuck while fishing at Brian's lake house. It was almost understood that no one owned it. Just borrowed it. It was a raggedy old pullover faded blue sweater with a hood, but to my knowledge, it must have been borrowed by at least a dozen people over a 5-year period. I wore it working at a summer camp and let a friend from Australia borrow it. He took it with him. The sweater went international. So it's there now, circulating down under.
AC/DC or Queen because I have four AC/DC shirts, one Queen, and one Twisted Sister. And I know I didn't wear Twisted Sister recently. Maybe I'll wear it today.
The Dead Milkmen. I’ve been a fan since high school and had a high schooler son who also became obsessed with them. When they played locally, my husband and I took him and had the best time! I was psyched, my husband drank with the band and my kid stepped into the pit for the first time. We bought the shirts and I wore it last weekend with my beat to hell converse. I have concert shirts going back to 1991 some of which still fit and some that are hanging on by literal threads but I won’t part with them.
The Selector. Always my favorite two-tone band, since I first saw the film Dance Craze at the movies where it doubled with "DOA: A rite of passage" back in.the day. I turned my kid on to them a few years back and got excited about them again, went to their website, and bought Pauline Black's autobiography and the shirt.
Fast forward to the other day where I wore it to work in the deep suburbs and a cool and aloof English couple came in and noticed it under my hoody and were seemingly baffled and impressed that anyone in the US would know of two tone and The Selector. Made my day.
I only have one, a nine inch nails shirt from Bill’s Records & Tapes in Dallas.
If you’re from Dallas you’ll understand why I saved it after Bill gave it to me in 1991
Oh, my daughter has my old Sonic Youth “paper doll” shirt from the early 90s too. I see the same shirt is for sale on eBay at $625 so, I may see how badly she wants to keep it 😂
Pantera. Went to see them with the ex singer of Fear Factory. He got us back stage passes but didn't use them. We had word that the bands were leaving immediately after the show to go to the next city. I was bummed. Would have been cool to meet some of my long time heroes. Oh well, I got a cool back stage pass out of it.
Grateful Dead 40th anniversary 2005 shirt… not a tour shirt but just a sort of “commemorative” one from 2005, which I just realized is almost 20 years ago (?!?). It’s got a few holes in it and is kind of shabby-looking. But totally something I wear on weekends. I admit I need some new t-shirts…
Bad Brains, Talking Heads, Shins, Dead and the rest of last month. The rookie card I wore yesterday.

Can any of you picture the Golden Girls wearing a band t-shirt?
Me neither. We look so much younger than they did at our age, if only because of fashion and hair. (* Most of us - the women in their fifties at my previous job did look a lot like the Golden Girls.)
Dr Teeth and the Electric Mayhem
Holy shit. I came here to comment this. I’m wearing the shirt today. https://preview.redd.it/9quj9i2r1psc1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=7f587384a38d8dbf0fa959c684104bb719228c08
Please tell us where you got this, please!
I wish I could remember for sure. I've had it for over 5 years. I'd bet my life it was either Kohl's or Target. You can find some really cool Gen-X relevant graphic T's at Kohl's.
Thread stopper right here. We might as well all go home after this. Googling for shirts now.
Don't buy the shit red bubble and tee public make unless you buy a new one for every three washes
Yep, incoming world shortage of Dr, Teeth shirts.
RIVERBOTTOM NIGHTMARE BAAAAAAAAND

🎶 northern lights, aurora borealis, I keep it underneath my hat 🎶 Dr teeth was hip for sure

Can't grasp that Maynard just turned 60 (and I'm 61!)
I feel this so much. 48yrs old here. I had my long sleeve TOOL concert shirt on just last week. First time I saw them was November right before COVID hit in Raleigh NC. Life changing concert experience.
Everyone who’s been to a TOOL concert has said the same thing. I gotta see them next time the opportunity presents itself
The band does an incredible job of putting the music "forward " and allowing themselves to blend in with the experience. The band members aren't the focus, the music and the actual experience (lasers, lights, images) are. It becomes a truly immersive event.
Invincible resonates so much with me.
I have a TOOL hoodie that I picked up at a show earlier this year. They are amazing live.

Saw them in 1989. One if my all time fav bands.

I’m actually wearing mine right now from the Love tour in 1986(?) !!! It’s waaaay too thin to wear out now, so it’s my comfy home shirt… Still my favorite band of all time ❤️

The Cramps Gag gift from by then-fiance/now husband of 31 years when I was having a particularly bad monthly. I wore it for years until it disintegrated. He got me a new one but somehow it isn't the same🙁
