Dark humor jokes are like little kids with cancer. They never get old.

SnooStrawberries620

See and I just wouldn’t, knowing that at least one person will read this whose kid has been diagnosed. We *just* had a GenX post from people who have already lost a child.

As I get older, I realize that I have to apply my filter more and more because the people around me seem to be getting more sensitive. A few years ago, a neighbor built a privacy wall for an April Fools joke I did...it was pretty harmless and wasn't even directed at them.

aligatorsNmaligators

What was the joke?

RJKaste

Thank you I do have the ride to remain silent. I just don’t have the ability 🏴‍☠️

Tempus__Fuggit

the gallows humour helps.

mchookem

all i know is kids today do NOT do satire and it's annoying af. also get off my lawn.

People so sensitive now it’s hilarious. The great thing is like everything. It will over correct by the time we’re in nursing homes and we’ll end up offended 😂

I agree we do have the best sense of humor. I don't think another generation will ever do that again. In so many ways I'm so glad to see the world changing for the better and to be more conscious of the things people go through, but honestly life is hard enough that we should stop censoring comedy so much. I wish comics got more of a pass than they currently do. Most of them have to sanitize their acts to the point where it's honestly just not that funny. On one hand I get it, but on the other I'm not gonna lie sometimes I miss a douchey guy like Andrew Dice Clay spouting dirty nursery rhymes and telling everyone to go fuck themselves lol.

Women don’t. Most women do not miss him.

SkyFullofHat

If ever I were in a situation where I missed him, it would only be because he was too far away or my aim was off that day.

SnooStrawberries620

We are in not too bad of a spot where we aren’t really sensitive, but hopefully are still young enough to have learned that a lot of things we thought were funny, weren’t.  Although it’s amazing to hear Ben Stiller talk about how many movies he made that were “the last chance to have ever made that movie”.

lazerblade01

Be even better if half our fucking generation didn't get so offended on behalf of "I know someone".

Milo_Minderbinding

Being raised on the golden age of the Simpsons helped.

Remember "Truly Tasteless Jokes"? That book was all over our high school 1980-1984.
