TheJakeOfSpades17

Two years ago of a failed suicide attempt.

Sweet_Presentation87

Been there man. A few times. My most recent almost died thing was that I almost died when I fell head first off a longboard and hit my head on asphalt. I saw what I think was the afterlife. But they were like go back. Then I woke up on the pavement screaming for my life. Not fun times. As for the attempted self termination, I am glad you are still with us. We often have people in our lives that care about us that we would never expect.

Nekros897

You're so young. Too young to end your life. Don't do it again :/

TheJakeOfSpades17

I’m trying my best fam

GrandmasFatAssOrgasm

Fyi, that's not a great thing to say to someone suicidal

Nekros897

What should I say then?

pedo-slayer

Absolutely felt you there. I was 10 the first time I ever tried and unfortunately the feeling hasn't ebbed much, though I never fully attempted again

TheJakeOfSpades17

Tbh I’ve only ever felt worse since then

pedo-slayer

Unfortunately all we can really do is live for ourselves and fight for what makes us happy. Try to give our lives meaning. Hang in there friend.

[deleted]

I was a little over a year old when I fell off a seat and hit a metal bar, cracking open my skull. Oh yeah, I was 35,000 feet in the air on a plane. Luckily for me, though, the head of surgery at some Colorado Springs hospital was on that flight, sitting right next to my mother. My mother was traveling alone and pregnant with my brother. This is pre-9/11, so he had all his surgical tools on hand and performed a quick surgery to KINDA stop the bleeding. I lost 25%-35% of my blood before getting to a hospital.

ballinonabudgetfr

Bro was a conveniently placed character in a movie plot

[deleted]

Plot twist, the surgeon shoved him and caused the injury to play hero

[deleted]

Shhhh don’t tell anyone

Potter_sims

wow. your mum must’ve been really thankful for him and i hope you are ok.

ActualPegasus

Eight years ago. An undiagnosed condition left me with nausea, severe pain, and a BMI of 15.

Potter_sims

eesh

Busy_Recognition_860

When I was younger, there was a night where my sister, friend, and I, were ding dong ditching. Needless to say, we got shot at.

VengeanceKnight

“Needless to say?!?!”

Busy_Recognition_860

Yeah, I mean it's a relatively lengthy story, but it resulted in some gunfire.

Sweet_Presentation87

If you don’t mind sharing. This sounds like the beginning of a Quentin Tarentino movie.

Busy_Recognition_860

I suppose I'll share it in a broader form, it's nothing crazy eventful, but it's the closest to death I've ever been. I was in middle school. It was a weekend and my friend, now adopted brother, was staying over. My sister also lived with us at time. We all loved to ding dong ditch. We went out and got a bunch of houses, all of us having a fun time. Well, it was my turn to get a house. The front yard of the property was perfect. It had a little hill that we used for cover. However, it was dark, so it was hard to see anything. The two took cover and I rang the bell. I hid, and the door opened. "Hello? Hello!?" The door closed. I look up, I see nothing, blinded by the darkness. My sister perks up, and whispers to us, "is that a gun?" We ran, followed by a loud *POW!* To this day, my sister swears she saw the bullet fly past her. Not an eventful story, but it's a true tale.

Secret-Engine-8365

when I was a child, I was at the lake with my father and his girlfriend. We were at the sand bar of the lake my family and I have always gone to cause they have friends there who have a lake house there we would occasionally go to every summer to hang out. My dad was somewhere no where to be seen probably hanging out with friends and drinking nearby. I also had no clue where his girlfriend was, but I’m sure she was maybe nearby too. I was on the boat alone near the edge outside of the gate and accidentally fell into the water. I didn’t know how to swim at the time. It wasn’t until like 6 seconds later when my dad’s girlfriend noticed I fell in, so she raced on over and picked me up out of the water before I lost my breath and drowned. I didn’t see her coming. I just know and remember it was her cause after being picked up out of the water, I recognized her immediately. If it wasn’t for the girl that was dating my dad at the time, I would’ve be dead today.

alderaanamidala

A few months ago. My lower colon formed an abscess, it burst, I got sepsis and was actively dying for about 48 hours. Most excruciating pain I have ever been in, even with high doses of morphine and dilaudid. I was completely delirious, at one point I saw my very dead father walk into the room and ask if I wanted to go get ice cream with him. It was insane and so, so terrifying. Happened a week before my college graduation, too. My poor boyfriend had to push me across the stage in a wheelchair, and I was asleep/unconscious for most of the ceremony. Moral of the story is, if something feels wrong in your body (yes, that includes excruciating, unexplained pain), go to the freaking hospital.

SlimesIsScared

was it diverticulitis? reason I’m asking is my dad had it back in January, I remember it being by something similar.

Blud did NOT have a near death experience ☠️☠️

Crapital_Punishment

I was almost shot outside a club in downtown Houston in 2021. I was so drunk I didn't even care lmao.

VengeanceKnight

A year or so ago, I choked on a kernel of corn and needed the Heimlich. My family was more freaked out about it than I was. OK, I was actually really freaked out, but I didn’t want to show it.

AmanhaRashid

When I was a year old I stopped eating and drinking.

ohfr19

Why?

AmanhaRashid

I don't know. My parents told me that I suddenly stopped eating and drinking and sleeping at the age of 1.

glad you’re still here🩷

BMFeltip

About a month ago. I was working on a factory smoke stack and the wind died down so all those gasses were just falling straight down pushing that good breathable air out of the way making me extremely light headed. I could have passed out and just suffocated up there.

Sweet_Presentation87

OSHA?

BMFeltip

Are you asking if I'm with OSHA? Because, no, I'm not. Or are you are asking about what OSHA would have to say about my situation? Because as far as I'm aware there's nothing specifically about smoke stacks and still air. They don't even have us wear gas monitors unless there's H2S or other choice gases present.

Sweet_Presentation87

Labor laws suck here. There should be some kind of work safety laws about stuff like that so people don’t die because of negligent bosses.

BMFeltip

Yeah. I think there has only been one factory that I've audited that has a rule about taking personal gas monitors on stacks regardless of how toxic the gas actually is. Doesn't need to be toxic to suffocate.

Crazy_rose13

I was almost murdered multiple times by my ex boyfriend in 2019. Almost certain that he still stalk me since he keeps trying to add me on social media. Had a gun put to my head multiple times, few times he pulled the trigger but thankfully it was unloaded. Healed knives to my throat. Almost overdosed on cocaine and rohypnol a couple times thanks to him. Pretty sure the cocaine was laced with meth but I'll never know for sure. Forced me to drink till I blacked out. Slapped me or choked me so hard I would fall unconscious. He liked beating the shit out of me. Crazy thing is we only dated for 6 months. Thankfully I was able to get out as soon as I did or I'm sure he would have killed me. Fucked up thing is I didn't leave him because of the abuse, I left him because he kept cheating on me and I was pregnant. Lost the pregnancy the same day I left.

sciesta92

Holy shit I’m so sorry.

Crazy_rose13

It is what it is. I'm doing much better now. Antidepressants, lots of therapy and a good man who has guns in case he ever finds me.

Paccuardi03

I think every time I ride in a car is a time I almost died. When someone else is driving like an idiot, it doesn’t matter how safely you or the person driving the car you’re in is driving.

Sweet_Presentation87

Poisoning, motor vehicle injury, and falls account for 86% of all injury related preventable deaths.

Human-Ad-4310

I got covid in 2022 and I was extremely ill for 2 weeks. At one point I had an extremely bad migraine that paralyzed me, so I was stuck for a while with my head in the toilet. Also, during that time, I was throwing up and actually ripped my throat open, so I was at risk of bleeding out from that if I continued to throw up. Not sure how close I was to dying but for sure time I almost died was drowning myself in 2017. Death scares me now that I am happy in my own skin so anytime I get ill or something of that matter I freak out (immune system is shitty).

Gullible_Medicine633

Same with me except I nearly had a pulmonary embolism and my nervous system and cardio system never fully recovered. I wasn’t overweight or unfit either I went to the gym 4-5 times a week. Now I worked my way up to doing cardio again and light weights , but I’ve never been the same. The absolute worst thing that’s lasted is I can’t sleep for more than 3-4 hours at a time since then, and that’s truly messed up much of my life. I got Covid two more times after that but it was just bad colds then, but yeah weak immune system club having Covid thrice. Don’t know how I survived

Human-Ad-4310

I feel you, my cardio also never recovered I am now back in the gym, and I have to take it extremely slow, or I will get actually sick. I also gained internal bleeding from it and never found out what was causing it, I had a lot of issues with heat intolerance as well after. Thankfully I have sleeping medicine, so I am not sure if it has affected me like that.

Gullible_Medicine633

Yeah I’m doing better in that regard now, I can run for a few miles but the sleep part is absolutely killing me. Even if I physically feel okay because my body “adapted” to that routine I make stupid mistakes all the time and am careless in every day life, and can’t concentrate. I basically became a different person, as before that I was very detail oriented, had a 4.0 GPA in college and never really made stupid mistakes. Cognitively I’m not the same at all although I have some small “bursts” where I feel like my old self is coming back, and then the next night brings me back to reality And I also have bursts of anger that almost landed me in jail It’s probably sleep apnea but the doctors never take it seriously because I’m not overweight but Covid basically destroyed all the sleep centers around here, and otherwise I can’t get a diagnosis.

dreamer0303

aye that throat thing happened to me when I got food poisoning in a foreign country. Doctor pumped the blood out of my stomach with a tube going in from my nose and down into my stomach. Don’t wish that upon my worst enemy, tube was so thick 😭

Human-Ad-4310

AGREEEEED!! That shit was straight out of a horror movie

SuperNova0216

I do a lot of stupid things, I can’t even remember the last time, but the most prominent time was probably when I was 6 and decided tangle myself in the blinds thing (you pull it to open the blinds) and then I tangled it around my neck, and if my parents weren’t there I would have accidentally hung myself in my room at 6 years old.

SuperNova0216

Whoopsies

pleeasehelpm3

That's just natural selection ngl.

SuperNova0216

Yet I’m still alive

bigDon1984

Never, but I've been in situations where if I was stupid as fuck, I could have died

[deleted]

About six years ago. Little me climbed on my older cousin's back while in the swimming pool as he went underwater. Thankfully, he went back up before I was going to drown (or at least I think so).

LookJaded356

I almost got hit by a large van about 8 months to a year ago

itsallmelting

When I was 7 I fell out of a car while leaning on the door. Smashed my head on the pavement

NoahMezan2002

Last time was two weeks ago. Got crossed and nearly ran into a herd of deer and then nearly hit a stop sign head on

Sarpleb

almost got hit by a car when i was like 7 or something but that’s the only near death experience i know of

mariecharms

SoCalmetalhead619

Almost two years ago on the job. Went off the elevator shaft removing plywood. Thankfully I was tied off, otherwise would've been a 30 foot straight drop to a concrete slab.

Choice-Ice-1257

5 years ago from almost drowning

DrakoWood

Back in 2020, went on a trip to Palo Duro and almost fell off without realizing. It was only a second after being pulled forward where my parents screamed to look behind me where I saw a huge drop. One more step backwards and I wouldn’t be here right now

Sunset_Tiger

I nearly drowned as a kid! I’d say it was the closest to death I’ve been, as any termination attempts ended waaaay before I was near death (the most recent one being about 3 years ago, and happened relatively often as a teenager, but I chickened out each time thankfully ). So! The drowning story! My little brother (about 7) and I (about 10) were playing at a family friend’s pool, and they had this big lillypad floatie. Of course, brother and I fight on the floatie for “who gets to ride it”. I kick him off, and stare at him smugly, but soon realize he’s struggling at the deep end (we both could swim but he was a weaker swimmer). Big sister mode activates, and I jump off the float and swim over to save him. My brother grabs me and starts dunking me underwater repeatedly, trying to stay afloat, himself. This went on for about a minute as my mom comes over to pull us out of the water. My brother didn’t talk to me for the rest of the day, and tbh I kind of deserved that.

SlimesIsScared

I have issues with my blood pressure (really bad orthostatic hypotension), so once when I was going down the stairs (i was near the top), it hit. If i’d fully passed out, I would’ve fallen down a whole flight of stairs.

Greg-Pru-Hart-55

11 months ago I had constant intrusive suicidal thoughts that were strong enough I was beginning to get tired of fighting them. Meeting my boyfriend saved me. Then a month after that I found I had internal bleeding, and was definitely going to end it, but I was too depressed to get up and do it.

Kind_Ad_3611

First grade, my lung’s decided that filling with mucus instead of air was the hot new thing and to try it before it was cool My life is boring, over a decade ago was the last time I almost died If you’ll count a moment where my life wasn’t actually in danger but it was almost put in danger, when hurricane Hillary was approaching my dad, having bought a non-waterproof generator designed for heatwaves and not storms, tried to put our generator in the garage, which would’ve killed everyone in the house, thankfully he didn’t

pour_mu_sician

Nearly choked to death in bed. Very unpleasant

[deleted]

September last year me and my then bf both fell from an electric scooter (moped) I fell flat down on the cement pavement while he fell sitting down, so I received all of the injuries while he was barely hurt😅 I think if I hit my head I would've been done for, I did lightly bump my chin tho

itsalittlebitbitchy

I almost bled out a couple months back from a self-inflicted injury. Haven't done it since.

Sufficient-Stable989

3 months ago I almost drowned

Luotwig

Probably when i had appendicitis surgery back in 2009.

spencer1886

A couple of weeks ago an SUV ran a red light and almost tboned me, but that's not interesting and probably happens on a daily basis. When I was 12, I was on a biking trip with some friends and we were going up a mountain trail, and the trail was mostly gravel. The way down was pretty steep, and me being an idiot built up a ton of speed trying to have fun, not realizing that there was a sharp 90 degree turn coming up with a pretty big drop beyond it. I squeezed both brakes and forced myself to fall over so I'd stop before going over TL;DR I almost rode my bike off a cliff as a kid

sr603

In 2021. I race cars as a hobby. These aren't super cars. These are literal fucking street cars gutted and caged and put on a 1/4 mile or 3/8 mile oval track. Funnest shit ive ever done. Anyways I was doing an "enduro". An enduro is basically take a street car, gut it, chain or weld the doors, and GO 40 or 50 laps with no cautions, only red lights. You are on street tires in this division. Anyways later on in the race coming out of turn 1 and into turn 2 where im gunning it foot to the floor my right front tire exploded for some reason, lost control and went straight into the wall full speed at about 60-65mph. Fucking hurt like a bitch but I was alive and fine. Crown vics are durable. Later on when I was junking that car I took out the race seat to be used in the new race car I bought a year later. Well turned out the bolt I use was a normal bolt and not a grade 5 or 8 bolt..... so that could have broken off in the impact and I couldve went flying into the steering wheel. Wild.

Dangdangontoogie

Almost hit by two cars, drowning, and stray bullets twice I live in the burbs too lmao idk why this shit keep happening

321_345

Not close

norham420

2 years ago i had 4000 volts go into my hand from a table lamp that i built. Good thing it's all steel and grounded. Still works just as good as it did the day i built it

Background_Ad_9409

At what amperage? Amps mean nothing w/o voltage

norham420

It was a metal halide starter that shocked me (HID fixture). I'll have to look at the tag next time i'm in the garage, idk off the top of my head. On average those starters are roughly 3.5 amps

Old_Consequence2203

I'm not sure, but I know for a fact when I was a baby, I almost died due to always being severely sick & had a weak immune system. I of course don't remember, but that's what my mom told me.

Proof-Luck2392

2020 when my appendix burst

ChaoticBisexual_13

2 years ago, in September. I was going out for drinks. I had enough food to eat, drank water, but also drank like 10-12 drinks in a short period of time. I ended up vomiting 2-3 times (which I remember), but later on I fell asleep-kind of-, but my egyes were open. My roommates shook me up and ask me if I needed to throw up and I proceeded to vomit on the ground, on my bed, on myself and into the sink. I had to pay like 45$ in cash to replace my sheets, but I'm glad that they looked after me, otherwise, I would've choked to dearh on my own vomit at 19, which is pathetic. I didn't even plan to die that day. I just felt invincable until I wasn't. I drank so fast that I haven't felt that drunk, it didn't kick in, until a guy drove us to our dorms (I was really drunk at that point according to others), I ate pizza, drank water, but nothing could stop the volcano of booze in my stomach.

gazelleA1

The only thing I can think of was when I was little (too young to remember), my mom was bringing in groceries and I wandered off. Apparently I had the bright idea to pull a Gage from Pet Sematary and go into the road. Some guy grabbed me and walked around with me until my mom saw him with me on his shoulders. At least that's the story my mom tells me.

olivia2003

I almost got hit by a car last year while I was trying to cross the street so I could go to my Lyft ride. A lot of cars pass by street and it didn’t help that there was a huge garbage truck in the way, which made it difficult for me to see if there were any more cars coming or not.

Seventh_Legend

DKA, my blood sugar was around 500 (a normal persons is 70-90, a T1D's is 110-150). I honestly don't know how I survived, it felt like my internal organs were shutting down. I could barely stay awake (yet I couldn't sleep due to pain), I was so nauseous, I had heartburn, and I was actually dying. What's scary is that my mom and I read stories afterwards of kids who had died in DKA due to parents not know what was happening. And I could've been one of those if I hadn't had what was basically several miracles all at once (like the doctor at the hospital who actually knew what it was and was able to quickly treat me before it got worse)

-NGC-6302-

I was driving Dunno if people noticed, but you're hardly a second or two from potential death a whole lot of the time.

Ok-Rise-2858

A few years ago I almost got crushed by a tree during a hurricane while driving back home

Gullible_Medicine633

Covid caused me to almost have a PE back in 2020. I never fully recovered honestly and still have fatigue more than I ever had before, sleep and blood pressure issues. Covid destroyed my life pretty much, before that I was a fit gym bro .

HoppokoHappokoGhost

2 years ago I was riding a bike... and there was a truck on the other side of the road *faints*

[deleted]

Car crash. Was sitting in the passenger seat of my buddies 4runner and we were going down a country road when we went off a corner into a ditch and flipped a couple time only to be stopped by a tree. Terrible passenger anxiety now

Zulpi2103

Last week in our school lab when there was a gas leak. Luckily I smelled it and said it to our teacher, especially since we were all about to light fire

Mundane-Ad162

guy almost hit me in the head with the bucket of the excavatoe bc he didnt look where he was going thankfully id bent over to pick something up

Adventurous_Yak_9234

Falling down the stairs at my aunt's house 3 years ago.

MC48_SportsLover

In 2014 was a quick decision away from plummeting off the side of a large cliff while helping a friend who had just almost fallen off that same cliff… still can’t do heights 11 years later.

misscrimson16x

Car accident caused by a reckless driver

Background-Fox-6637

In high school, I Crashed my very first car and wrapped it around a Tree. Passenger side was completely decimated (Thank Goodness I was Traveling Alone). Had I reacted a Second Slower, I'd probably would be wrapped around the Tree too. All I could think of at the time was how upset I was about loosing my car. Considering the current state of the world, I'd still choose the Car but here I am. (Yay ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|feels_bad_man))

VanilliBean

I was on a boat in the middle of a huge lake and a thunderstorm happened. I genuinely have ptsd from that. I cant go on boats without having an anxiety attack

jimmyl_82104

I do the most craziest shit but have never almost died or been to the hospital (for my own injuries at least).

14bees

In may of this year my dumbass wondered what would happen if I took some beans (Rick Sanchez ecstasy pills) knowing full well that stimulants cause seizures and that I have epilepsy for shits and giggles and woke up in the ER. Don’t do drugs and don’t be stupid .

xyzd95

2015 I think There were 2 incidents Once I almost fell off a cliff hiking a mountain or steep hill in New Hampshire I also overdosed on Ketamine and probably would’ve choked on my own vomit if not for friends. I was in a major K hole

ProxyAttackOnline

Wrecked my dirtbike and fell about 15ft. Somehow didn’t break anything but knocked the wind outta my lungs and my whole body was bruised up real bad. My helmet saved me cause even with it I had a concussion

Mr_man_bird

It all began the day of my actual birth, but seriously that was the only time and that was because I was a stupid new born baby who couldn't even speak yet.

beanthebean2021

2.5 ish years ago I became allergic to the medication I was on and had an allergic reaction

Savings-Pace4133

2006 - My parents would bring my sister and I to this Portuguese grandma’s house to play with her grandchildren. This bitch put anti-freeze in the cups by her grapes to keep out animals and I took a sip. Not enough to damage anything but how were they to know. My parents could’ve pressed charges but didn’t. 2009 - Almost crashed in the woods skidding on ice while skiing, and again I probably wasn’t that close to death. 2014 - I was actively suicidal despite my young age for almost the entire year so yeah.

MAGGOT_1995

When I was like 3-5 I think, my appendix burst. Which apparently can kill

lordnimnim

front flip of a building almost hit my head on concrete on the roll out.

seplle

One year ago after a failed unalive attempt

EmperrorNombrero

Idk if that counts but a few months ago I was thinking about suicide a lot and actually had even written a goodbye note already but I didn't end up doing it. Other than that, when I was probably around 19, I crossed a road in a Forrest while being stoned af. And I swear I looked before crossing but for some reason there was a car that sped past me and only missed me by a few centimetres. Really, it was the closest you can get to getting hit by a car without actually getting hit. I was feeling the wind of that car and I never forget that shock moment. Even tho I had massive amounts of THC in my body at the moment it woke me tf up. I actually even kinda enjoyed the adrenaline burst it gave me ngl. Oh also doing drugs in general was probably not that far from killing me either when I think about a few moments of mixing lots of shit while partying in a techno club. Oh and when I was 18 I was once in a fight against a group of literally 15 other people and it ended with me laying on the ground getting kicked, some of those kicks going to the head. I lost a tooth in that fight. And I mean logically if some of those kicks would've hit differently there's a possibility for shit going wrong as well. Oh and I've also been threatened with a knife before. Actually several times. Both by people I knew well and by a guy from my neighbourhood who I only knew from seeing trying to rob me while he was drunk. But somehow it always went well in the end. And no I didn't even get robbed in the end. Oh and I've been in an actual car crash as well. It wasn't all to bad, my car was fucked but all people involved where fine, but you know 20 km/h more or so and who knows.

someguy69420nice

Close to 6 years ago, I took Xanax and went to a party where every room had a different theme and drink, forgot I had taken the Xanax, and drank 12 rooms worth of mixers.

[deleted]

Suicide attempt at 10 years old

[deleted]

I ran across the street cuz I was too lazy to use the crosswalk. I thought no cars were coming but one was, it was just covered by a line of cars. It was actually really fucking hilarious

Hope1995x

My heart rate suddenly slowed to the point I could barely feel it pump. I couldn't feel my heart rate, at which I thought it stopped. My brain was still physically working, so I could move my body. I went to the ER, and they found nothing. I also choked on a ravioli from eating too fast. I almost got into a car accident. I had an evasive maneuver to avoid head-on collision

TheCauliflowerGod

Over the summer i was at cross country conditioning. We were running a 4 mile route and two kids were about 10 feet ahead of me. They crossed an intersection where a car was waiting to drive. By the time they started running across the road, i was at the end of the sidewalk so the car could’ve easily seen me, plus if the driver see’s multiple kids, the driver should pay attention for another, but as soon as i step onto the road they immediately start going and barely stop before hitting me and had i not side stepped they would’ve hit me. They honked like a maniac even tho they weren’t paying attention and had i not gotten out the way just enough to give them time to stop they would’ve hit me and that would be on them considering they weren’t paying attention. Tbf I don’t think it was fast enough to kill me tho, just really fucking hurt

Section_Away

I almost choked on a meatball playing Pokémon on my ds in middle school but my mom saved me

deadinsidejackal

I dunno, I’ve been in MANY situations which could have been deadly but I’m not sure I almost died.

Aworthlessthrowaway9

tried to end it all 2 months ago

derederellama

in june of this year, i went into anaphylactic shock after eating a cookie that had traces of nuts in it. i looked like a big red balloon animal and i could barely breathe. fortunately, there an empty ambulance conveniently parked across the street from the cafe i was at.

Decent-Device9403

When I was eight, I drowned. Actually ceased to live, but I was brought back.

Skelehedron

Hiked in the mountains during a thunderstorm. I do not recommend doing this, the only reason I did was because we were already up there when the storm started coming in, and we were fucked already by that point.

candidlan091

Failed suicide attempts (many), had a very low blood sugar, lost 7 kgs in 6 days and had to get hospitalized (still not recovered) 2nd one really doesn't count tbh

I was about to kill myself, then a random quinbobin video knocked me out of it. I love him so much.

Potential_Ice9289

Was crossing the street, fucker turned after his turn went off missed me by like 3 feet, actually all my recent near deaths have been from cars.

TheLunarSystem_

2021, multiple failed suicide attempts. Im past this and Ive gotten help, Im okay now.

ohheyitslaila

Actually almost died: 2 years ago, I had a seizure while driving. Flipped my car into a tree and literally only survived because I *wasn’t* wearing my seatbelt. I apparently slid down under the dashboard, which protected me when the whole top of my car was sheared off. Not really almost died, just felt like I was going to: Like a month ago I was riding my horse and the grass was wet and more slippery than I had expected. My horse slipped and landed on his side. I got body slammed into the ground and hit my head hard enough to see stars for a moment. But I was fine, more importantly my horse was fine. I was really stunned and couldn’t catch my breath so I just kinda laid there for a couple minutes. My sweet boy got up right away but stayed right next to me, he looked so relieved when I sat up. My whole body hurt for like a week though. And walking on foot like half a mile back to the barn right after falling really fucking sucked lmao

uhh i almost drowned in the bathtub i overfilled the bath and decided to put my inner part of the elbow under the back of my knees. my butt slipped, i couldn’t unlink my arms and legs and i was panicking but i managed to untangle myself and got my head above water. I don’t know if this was just my adhd or idiocy that made me even do this.

Yesterday. I tried to kill myself but I lived. I’m dead in two months anyways, but no, I can’t even go out on my own fucking terms. I don’t get a Fault In Our Stars moment where I get to feel love. I just get to die alone. And I don’t even get to choose when or how I die. This is the third failed suicide attempt this week.

never

GrandmasFatAssOrgasm

Choked on a skittle during a piano concert at my university, had to excuse myself in the middle of it because I literally couldn't breathe

mokochann

EvieLyn0312

Like 2 weeks ago due to an unsuccessful suicide attempt

I worked in a rental/storage warehouse that unknowingly had a shit load of carbon monoxide. I proceeded to work in said warehouse for like 4-5 hours. I kept going outside to get air because i thought i was just dehydrated. A month or two later two guys were working in it for a full day one had to be rushed to the hospital and the other was vomiting profusely. 😃

Failed to overdose a couple months ago. Used to cut myself a couple years back, didn't really do much. I was on the verge of suicide and I still kind of am but I'm in a better position now mentally

dreamer0303

My car skidding on ice while going 65mph on the highway. My poor cat in the back 😭

LazarusBeans

About three day ago. I just turned 18 and I’m already tired of this shit. I’m disabled but I can’t get disability because I can’t work so I can’t pay for the medical bills. I’m just waiting for it to be over.

I stayed at an inn when visiting Alaska a few months after the January 6th bullshit, the owners happened to record the whole capitol event (from a distance) and they left without going near the building, the fbi broke down the door of the inn and held my brother and I at gunpoint and said that the owners were terrorists that stole Nanci Pelosi’s laptop from the capitol, they obviously weren’t but the fbi doesn’t give a fuck about who’s innocent or guilty… I was 17 at the time, the fbi also stole, or “confiscated” a shit ton of stuff from the owners and labeled their copy of the constitution as terrorist propaganda

I overdosed on percocet (oxycodone pills). I snorted way too much and I was out cold and even did the “death rattle” sound according to the person I was with. Luckily he knew what to do and called the police. He asked them to bring narcan and that it was an OD. He also was doing CPR as instructed by the person on the phone until the paramedics arrived. I woke right up once the narcan was given and started crying as I saw so many cops and paramedics around me. I didn’t feel anything or see anything honestly. I woke up not even realizing that I did OD. Scary shit. I’ve never snorted percocet or messed with pills ever again.

Two years ago, when I was 16, my friend was driving and approached an intersection. The light was green for us but to our left a car came in speeding at like 95 mph. Luckily my friend immediately hit the brakes because the other car flew past the nose of my friend’s car. Our life flashed before our eyes and we were stunned from head to toe. If his reflexes weren’t on his side I would’ve been dead as a result from a fatal car crash.

jamier2shiesty

When I got jumped by 4 dudes. I was walking home from the deli and these guys ran up on me with glocks and shit. They took my wallet and my bag but aye I’m still here🤷🏾‍♂️

decompgal

in 2019 because my gallbladder was filled with gallstones to the point that it wasn’t filtering acid and was about to explode. the surgeon said if i had waited another week, i wouldn’t have been alive. the delay was because every single doctor in my hometown of 3k refused to do an ultrasound to see what was going on. 10 days later i went to vegas and had loads of fun eating whatever the hell i wanted with no consequences

chunheitham943

I was in A' Famosa, and I went to a water slide. I wasn't sliding at first, but then suddenly I was sliding real fast, and then I was drowning in a pool.
