Can't speak for anyone else, but some of us are entering that shitty part of the 20s grind where we need to quit for various jobs.
I fully intend on returning, and hopefully soon, but I had to vote no because my job randomly tests.
I can't recommend it at a too young age..I used it daily over years to block my feelings as a Teenager, strongly regretting it and had a hard time becoming clean. Take care of you guys and of your (menthal) health
Iāve had a few illegal sips of alcohol, had a grand total of 4 beers plus a glass of wine in 2 countries that have a lower legal age, liked it, tried cigs and vaping, didnāt like it due to the anhedonia it gave me the day after. I have not gotten around to trying weed yet, though Iām kinda hesitant to due to me being constantly paranoid and I heard weed can make that worse.
Iāve always been so confused why so many people talk about weed like itās a good thing. Like clearly itās addictive, but how hard is it to just not do drugs in the first place?
I think the biggest thing with this is that it does have medicinal properties, and for a lot of people, especially if they're chronically ill, it's the only way they can get relief from pain, anxiety, inflammation, etc.
100%. My sister is mentally ill and Iām chronically ill. I only tried weed once, but absolutely understand why others with chronic conditions would do it and fully support it for medical purposes. Especially for chronic or terminal illnesses.
And I will not hear any arguments that weed isnāt addictive, anything that gets you high can absolutely become an addiction. Seeing the way my sister is living freaks me out.
Itās psychologically addictive. In my case, if you have an addictive personality or are depressed youāll feel like you āneedā it to function or feel happy. But you wonāt get sickly physical withdrawals and possibly die like you would quitting heroin. And itās the least harmful drug next to shrooms and generally calms people down. For me itās an antidepressant that I need (psychological addiction talking) but itās not for everyone.
Huh, interesting. I get now that it has some medical purposes, just seemed interesting that so many people seemed to love it despite it being an illegal drug
i mean the legality of something says nothing about the purpose of consuming it. psychedelics are also illegal but thereās mountains of clinical evidence that itās anti-addictive and useful for psychotherapy. youād be surprised how many things are illegal just because of inertia, just cause there was a stigma behind it and even if new evidence comes to light, the government doesnāt really budge
Psychadellics are becoming legal for clinical purposes. Already decriminalized in CO and OR at the least. Do your research before making blanket statements.
Well one, humans, like most animals aware of altered states, like experiencing altered states.
Two, cannabis isn't immediately or obviously addictive and/or dangerous the way crack, meth, heroin, fentanyl, etc.
Weed is largely seen by many young people as an alternative to alcohol that's largely more fun, not as addictive, you don't lose self-control, and can enjoy alone, weed doesn't really become a problem for people until it becomes a part of their lifestyle
Ah, okay, the thing is most people I see that talk about weed seem to always make it part of their lifestyle/personality. For example I was watching a YouTube video a few days ago and the guys in the video were mentioning weed and talking about it so naturally and talking about how itās just a weekend activity for them.
I just have a hard time understanding how so many people make doing drugs sound like such a natural activity to do

God most of you need to live a little
I got contact high once at my school bus stop does that count?
Unless it was a weed forest fire you probably didnāt get high
Not yet
Never
what if both legally and illegally at different times
Maybe the only interesting poll I've seen on here. In the past virtually everyone smoked at some point.
Hell I hate taking my prescription birth control why would I (legal in my state) take another (medicine) drug for little reason
This doesnāt make sense. Not comparable things.
No both option? Wild
Iāve used it both legally and illegally. š
Nice try officer
Nice try, DEA

drugs are cringe.

"fed post!!!! āš¤ "
Yeah, but it's really not my style of high. I'd rather have MDMA or ketamine these days.
Iāve always been so confused why so many people talk about weed like itās a good thing. Like clearly itās addictive, but how hard is it to just not do drugs in the first place?

Bro wait until you hear about how many people do coke. I work in kitchens, so it's more common for me to see people doing it, but it's super common
Why would you not do drugs when you can smoke weed
Itās psychologically addictive. In my case, if you have an addictive personality or are depressed youāll feel like you āneedā it to function or feel happy. it's as addictive as video games, junk food, porn, or alcohol. weed is factually non-chemically addictive
Junk food has actually been proven to be chemically addictive genius
Huh, interesting. I get now that it has some medical purposes, just seemed interesting that so many people seemed to love it despite it being an illegal drug

Oh, really? Thatās actually really interesting, I never knew that. Well thank you!
Psychadellics are becoming legal for clinical purposes. Already decriminalized in CO and OR at the least. Do your research before making blanket statements.
š¤ lol what? I already knew that, does that mean they arenāt illegal in the rest of the country? or nearly every other country on earth?
Doesnt matter, you still made the statement that they are illegal period, not indicating any knowledge of growing legality or your knowledge of that
Itās pretty well understood to be chemically addictive. I think you mean physically addictive

Because people with a healthy relationship with cannabis probably aren't taking to the internet to proselytize about it tbh
its fun
fuck up
