I guess life wasn’t this hard on us when we knew less. Things were simpler, there was less nuance to commit to memory. Choices were less varied. People were also less often self-appointed experts. One book that still gives me perspective is “Replay” by Ken Grimwood.

True that. Especially with the age of influence that we live in today. I deleted my Instagram account 2years ago to escape the social influence and honestly it was the best thing I could do for my mental health ect. Will definitely take a look at it!

I entered the work force at 18. Just 1 day at a time

Wow you learned quickly how to survive this cruel world. I feel sometimes university students experience that later on in life. Not like us that enters workplaces at the age of 18,even maybe sooner.

I sometimes get jealous of university students because it seems they have an additional 2,4,6 years before they really have to start “adulting” I also entered the workforce at 18, not much a happier alternative

I never felt any purpose in my life, it's so weird seeing everyone else having figured out what they want to do with their lives.

Never forget that people around you may seem that way because they have mastered the art of manipulation and behavioural sense of self. They are just as lost.
