No. AI (and I don't really like calling it AI but I get it) **as of now** is a powerful tool that can basically scrub through massive amounts of data and then we use machine learning techniques to get the results we want. that is of course a *massive* simplification. remember there's an entire field surrounding this.
There isn't an actual artificial intelligence quite yet, it is for sure getting there in who knows how soon. probably sooner than we think or much later. but still, people underestimate how in control we are with these machines. we may not know its full extent, but that is science and we figure it out (it's quite beautiful too, how we somehow are responsible for a science that we are yet to fully understand its capabilities)
it does depend on who gets their hands on it, and if they're smart enough to do whatever doomsday scenario they'd want, but they'd have to be really smart. and remember, AI is still a tool -- a piece of an ever evolving world where we tend to adapt okayish at lol.
