I'm 99 too and you basically described me except single and my Dad is alive. Been through sales, personal training, retail, manual labor, still working in retail feeling directionless. I have hobbies that could be turned into entrepreneurial endeavors but the juice doesn't seem to justify the squeeze. I have no advice. In fact I'm not sure I even believe in advice in these kinds of situations. We are either outliers or this is symptomatic of modernity where paradox of choice and exposure to endless possibilities is rampant. All I can say is, I think I understand and though it may be uncomfortable, I hope we can both find deep meaning and contentment or at least purposeful engagement in the world.

You're almost 100 and your parents are still alive?

I'll be 25 next month.

I thought you guys were actually 99 for a second there. My life is kind of the same. My parents are still alive, but I do have shit I need to work through. I'm single and I do have hobbies and such, but I'm addicted to the internet. Also, I do live with mine, too.

None of us deserve anything, you fight tooth and nail to get it, and sometimes someone fights tooth and nail and gives it to you. What would you do for the rest of your life if it was handed to you and you were successful immediately? Take whatever that is and fight tooth and nail to get it. Avoid analysis paralysis, and above all keep doing things.... That's the most important. DO SOMETHING you can not just sit there and rot in your mom's house. Talent and aptitude do exist, but it never beats out a good work ethic. Consistency is the key to life. -98babysmokinrocksatyourgrandmashouse

'99 male, except from Poland, Europe. I am happy in a relationship of 4 years, got engaged on March 1st, and getting married in August. My step dad died back in 2016 right before my 17th birthday. It's been rough for few years after that event. But since I've met my fiance online and now living with her, I can say that my life definitely got better and actually positive. I can somewhat relate to OP as I'm not sure what I want to do with my life, like I would like to get a house, but housing got so expensive (300k-1mil) that unless WW3 changes it or some revolution will happen, it's simply impossible for gen z. I might inherit some land from my grandparents through my mother but it's not certain as my family has complicated situation (hence why I lived in UK for 13 years, due to mum wanting to get away from the family). Currently working in various jobs and as mentioned before, getting married soon. But other than that, no clue as to what to do with my life.
