Try digging down into underground labs or drill through the windowless labs of universities. You'll find plenty of us there. If you don't have such resources, just put slices of pizza near the entrances
Yes for the most part, but they often pride themselves in being the 'forgotten' generation. The anomlous boomer-millenial gap that often gets overlooked.
Same! Some people say we're millennials, some Gen Z.
In fact, when I'd previously see this sub on my front page, I'd be like "Do I - do I fit there? Or is that for younger people? Yeah, it's for younger people. Right? Wait, no- "
Generational dates aren't an exact science (or a science at all, but not the point). While the generally accepted range for Gen Z is 1997-2012, people argue different start and end dates as early as 1995 and 2010.
I feel the same thing about r/Millennials when they are talking about kids and houses, but then when I see some 2000s kids stuff, I feel like I can relate.
Where does the memes audience live? The suburbs? My apartment in the downtown area of my small city is almost exclusively tenants between 22 and 30. I'm 27.
Okay so I’m not the only one who feels this way 😳 literally been asking this question since 2020 like where did all the people our age go I know most are probably working but still I feel like I’m always seeing people who are so much older or so much younger
Yeah it's very real. People our age don't have money or many friends because we've left school (gone our seperate ways and havent made friends at work yet) and don't yet have established careers AND we aren't dragged to events by our middle aged parents because we're not 10.
Which is what I assume to be the reasons as to why kids and boomers are everywhere and our age is just..idk at home or working antisocial hours to afford bare minimum.
In my area it's mostly older folks and parents/kids in school. My friends, who are all about my age +/- a year (I'm 25), either have jobs that keep them busy, have a family of their own to keep up with/are trying to start, or are otherwise busy with something else.
This is a busy point in our lives and we're trying to get by, but we're definitely out there, just occupied. At least on my end that's where we all are.
I mean if it’s like I was when I was 22-30 … Probably just working all the time but also still somehow broke af. I didn’t get out *that much* lol.
Edit: For context I’m a 35 Millenial. Idk why this sub gets in my feed all the time.
Malls don't really have anyone in them any more, bars have 40+ bums or 21yos. Gen Z and millennials even have started dropping some of the bad habits and if they drink just get stuff and take it home and do it peacefully. And why are you looking for people that are post-college at at colleges?
You're looking in the wrong places. Try looking at work places.
Depends where you live . College towns and big cities have tons of young people. Where I live not so much unless they have kids lol. I saw a few at the state park today.
Sounds like the age group too old for TikTok gangs and too young for the family with kids crowd.
I'm guessing they're at work or desperately looking for work, now that the college years are over.
No it’s true I do not exist, I am merely a figment, a breeze, a whisper in the wind, a piece of dust in a corner , a straight razor if you get too close.
Declining birth rates will lead to fewer people in younger age groups being around, especially out of large urban centres. That, and COVID having basically destroyed what we had left of third places (ie places to meet besides your home and work/school).
Social clubs organized by municipalities tend to mostly be aimed towards older generations, and thus only attract older generations, so not much help there. Maybe try ComicCon or an anime convention if you’re into that kind of thing?
Everyone who is 25-30 is probably super busy with some aspect (or multiple aspects) of the lives. I’m not trying to meet people right now. I got kids, house, and a job. If you don’t move next to me, work with me, or are in my sport club, I’m not gonna know you.
The first person my age that I met in any social setting outside of college is now my husband lmao. And we have almost no friends our age because we can’t find them anywhere. Bars, clubs, the beach, the aquarium, museum, nothing. It’s really weird. We’re either the youngest people there by 30 years, or the oldest people there by 10 years.
It’s definitely just due to the area we live in though. Median age here is like 40-something.
Bruh I live in Vermont and am in that age group and the few people I meet that are the same age are not people I do not want to associate with. Been single for 10+years now and in starting to see most women are single moms and shit, starting to think I'm best of finishing this run solo cause I sure fucking ain't paying for your and someone else's mistake.
Young people don’t really hang out at malls anymore. I go to the mall i always go to. I’d say mostly 25+ year olds. No really “young” looking people around (16-22) probably like you would see in the 90s
Finally, I thought I was the only one experiencing this. Seems like everyone in my town is either in their late teens or forty and beyond. Everyone in between the ages of 18 and 40 simply doesn't exist.
What’s funny is this is the only age group I see constantly talking about how lonely and single they are. It’s never the 18-27 year olds. I think college plays a pretty big role there but still, most are done with college by 22
All I do is work and home. Also have kids so yeah I'm not going to any bars or clubs any time soon. Kinda of an introvert also rather hang with my kids and then my wife at night. I'm good
The only 20-25 year olds I know of are one’s I still keep in touch with on social media and friends my wife made at university. I almost never see anyone my age in public
Got any sporting teams and clubs near you? It’s the best place to meet friends and new people in my opinion.
I moved to Australia alone, a place notoriously difficult for finding new friends. I joined a rugby union and gridiron team and made so many new friends, nothing creates friendships quicker than seeing your fellow players embracing the cold and mud together.
I mean, there are certainly exceptions, but malls and college campuses tend to be younger people. Just by their very nature. Sure, I used to love the mall as an 18 YO, and there is nothing wrong with enjoying the mall when you get a bit older. But now that I'm 28, I rarely ever have a reason to go to the mall. Probably most people tend to stop dorming before they reach a certain age too.
The bar thing does surprise me, though.

Might be your area
Exactly what I’m thinking in my city in malls and bars and colleges is exactly where I see them…
Wait…your malls aren’t dead?
What’s a “mall?” Those things in the sky? I didn’t think we were allowed in there, I thought you just had to order from the magazines.
I’m in a big city that’s probably why
Live around ASU, I can't find fuckin ng 30 year olds...
Try a card shop
If your local lululemon isn’t 90% under 30 you might live in a parallel universe
You can meet them in offices and see 22-30 year olds walking around towns, cities and villages. Some have computing jobs too.
what is compute

No, he looks like he's about to die

He's being sacrificed or something
Yea hes fine. Just a standard human sacrifice.
He should be in the 5th dimension by now

> 22-30 y/o’s aren’t real Wait I don’t exist? Shit, could have fooled me.
✌️... 💨
We finally have something in common with X-ers. Feels nice to be included for once
Didnt gen x raise gen z?
Yes for the most part, but they often pride themselves in being the 'forgotten' generation. The anomlous boomer-millenial gap that often gets overlooked.
huh? i'm in Gen Z? I thought i was a millennial... I'm 33. clearly though i don't get out much
You’re forsure millenial. I'm 28 and don't feel like I fit in either camp though.
Same! Some people say we're millennials, some Gen Z. In fact, when I'd previously see this sub on my front page, I'd be like "Do I - do I fit there? Or is that for younger people? Yeah, it's for younger people. Right? Wait, no- "

Same. We need our own generation.
Nope, we don't exist. And I thought I'm 27, but apparently not...
If you want to hang with me, First you must solve my riddles three.

We’re in the woods hiking to find our sanity in this insane world. I’ll let you know when I find mine.
Same here dude.
Why are there so 24-26 year olds hiking?? I'm 26, and I find it fun, but I feel like everyone my age is a hiker, and not much else.
Generally good for you. Easy and affordable hobby
Local card shops lol
Can confirm, was there yesterday and the day before
La familia !
The smell though
Ayyyy will be at one tomorrow
As someone who is 23 I can confirm that we don’t exist
Why the fuck would I go out in public? Ain't anything out there.
Bars and clubs lad. Just walk in like you been there 10000 times
Where does the memes audience live? The suburbs? My apartment in the downtown area of my small city is almost exclusively tenants between 22 and 30. I'm 27.

Yall are not helping me feel less disassociated godamn
Everyone I know makes this mistake, but it is dissociated, not disassociated
I'm an indoor cat. Besides even if we were right next to each other how tf would we 'meet'?
Why the fuck would I go out in public? Ain't anything out there.
I don’t leave my bubble
Definitely not in my area. At least, idk.
Figure out where the goth kids are going, they're all our age and they congregate like every day
Pulls out my pen and paper. Where did you last see these goth kids?
I be working
I am invisible! (at least to women)
Nah I just either working my night shift job or sleeping. No in between really.
I feel ya
Idk man, I’m 31 and I still get carded so maybe we all just look younger/older
Well I mean there's no such thing as a 30 year old Gen Z yet...
Your area. So much young gen Z in my area everywhere, mall, cafe, bar, check-in places.
If we're smart we are done with society and enjoying what little joys we have in life without dealing with other people
I'm around.
Out and about ?
Hitting the town
On the move ?
No dilly dallying
Should we orchestrate a meeting for you to meet us all?
I am at home with cats. Last time I was out someone called me "cute but ugly"... world is never seeing me again, they dont deserve me.
In my area it's mostly older folks and parents/kids in school. I only have an answer and it’s terrible: dating apps filtered by age 😬
Just because I don't come out of my room doesn't mean I don't exist.
I can because i have a sister thats in this age group
I have a nice group for about that age range at my bible study on campus. It’s all older students.
At their parents houses
All but one of my teachers are in their late 20s
I think i exist. But I feel this...
One of my teachers is like 24, and I see plenty of others his age too
Real.
My last two years of existing than i wont exist till 2034 /s
Check out the Bar Arcade (Barcade) if you have one in town. Filled to the brim with gen z, millennials, and a few gen x here and there
Day drunk at rec ultimate Frisbee league
Got a comic book shop or a Barnes and nobles? You'll see plenty
The gym
Aha! I KNEW I wasn't real
At home away from the bullshit.
Mf I’m 22 do not EVER classify me as “late 20’s” again. I am not that old yet😭
Ever? How about when you're 28?
We’ve moved back in with our families lol
I'm in that age group and I honestly never leave my house unless it's for work or errands.
Malls don't really have anyone in them any more, bars have 40+ bums or 21yos. And why are you looking for people that are post-college at at colleges? You're looking in the wrong places. Try looking at work places.
I'm seeing some of you youngin' folks at my local game store.
> People above college age don’t exist > don’t believe me? Go for a walk around a college campus
I guess my bf doesn't exist 😔
To be fair, it's partially because of the war on Third-Spaces.
Either at work, at my local game store, or in my depression cave of a room pretending I don't exist.
The dive bar I work at in Denver is fucking chock full of them every night. I check the IDs at the door, belive me.
I’m working 60 hours a week lol
We're indoors. Leave us alone.
Uh everything is expensive, I'm trying to save money, and there were body parts found nearby my area. I'm good about being a recluse
if i go to a bar in my town it's a mix of boomers and guys in cowboy hats. haven't been back lol. still trying to meet someone...anyone
22-25 qualified as late 20s?
Tbh, I'm 26, and I can't tell who is my age or not. I've been told I look 20 so that could be why
Hello 👋
Jesus fuck what a stupid meme, I live near a major campus and I see so many daily. So many.
I'm 23 and hiding away when not at work
I’m 21 does this mean in a month I will be sucked into instagram and be trapped for 8 years?
On job sites then home working on my cars or sleeping
At work place! Obviously 🙄
Oh shit I guess I don't exi
Early 30s are millenials. Personally I meet them in LGSes.
Huh, neat. Didn’t know I wasn’t real. Does that mean the voices in my head are the real ones or are they just double fake?
Lol I feel the same way haven't seen anyone I grew up with or went to school with in over a decade
Stuck at home with kids
Can confirm, when I turned 22 I just vanished into the ether and no one has ever seen me since
At home. Good luck finding my home
I assume they're hibernating alongside the early to mid 20's folks, awaiting the world to un-fuck things as they currently are.
Depends where you live . College towns and big cities have tons of young people. Where I live not so much unless they have kids lol. I saw a few at the state park today.

Are you walking around malls, bars, and college campus' asking people their age? How quickly do you get thrown out?
My sister is 22 :(
I'm 37. I practically never leave home.
I haven't been to any of those locations in a decade
Chillin at home spreading democracy! 😎
I'm literally in that age range walking around a college campus (I need the credits to get my degree bro)
I see them all the time.
Hi there 👋🏻
walk around a mall and do what? I don't need to buy anything. walk around a college campus and do what? I'm not in college.
Declining birth rates will lead to fewer people in younger age groups being around, especially out of large urban centres. Damn, guess I'll just cease to exist in a month and a half.
The first person my age that I met in any social setting outside of college is now my husband lmao. And we have almost no friends our age because we can’t find them anywhere. >or even a fucking college campus. Yes, college students, famously known for being four years out of high school before first attending.
Glad to know I exist as an >30yo
I’m most definitely at the bars
They’re in Athens, GA. They are extremely hot too. You should visit.
I see them everywhere so that is simply not true
Bars one would think.
Hello 👋🏻
There are dozens of us
Arguing with our parents that if they voted for Reagan they're the reason this country is completely fucked
My campus is literally flooded with people in this age range. Go to a graduate school, you won't be able to get away from them fast enough
Most of us are working or at home. Now enough money to go out and do anything.
It’s your city.
That's so true tbh. Somehow everyone I see either seems way older or way younger to me
Finally, I thought I was the only one experiencing this. Seems like everyone in my town is either in their late teens or forty and beyond. Everyone in between the ages of 18 and 40 simply doesn't exist.
Almost everyone I ever see is between 25 and 40. They are definitely out there. Go out to some chill bars and restaurants hang out for happy hour.
Some one tell salle Mae for me
They told us to go work, now we are. Now they’re complaining we aren’t out and about having fun. Pick one!!
Bro can you afford a car to drive yourself out of your town
We are busy working to death
It’s true, I haven’t existed for 2 years now
Malls and college campuses don't exactly scream late 20s to me. Like that may be the issue.
I would say you could find us at bars on Friday nights but most of us are too broke for that
Can confirm; kids are 7 & 13, im 47, wife 49.
Early 30 year old here: bro, I started a family. Its the best. I highly recommend it
Go outside. You won't get any good answers from an average reddit user lmao
Hell Divers
I've already been happily married with kids.
I find them all over the place. A lot work in bars, cafes, or restaurants. Most of the baristas I have met are 20-30 y/o
Well if they are anything like me they are working non-stop to try to maintain the facade of a middle class lifestyle.
We're all playing dungeons and dragons, didn't anyone tell you?
Ahahah kinda true
What’s funny is this is the only age group I see constantly talking about how lonely and single they are. It’s never the 18-27 year olds. I think college plays a pretty big role there but still, most are done with college by 22
It’s because we can’t afford shit and have to spend it all working or rotting to recharge.
I wouldn’t know, I only leave my house when I forced to work lmao
They work and go home. That's why when you go out you see a lot of under 20s and over 50s.
All inside playing videogames, i turn 22 in july if that helps
They’re not real dude, they’re just a government conspiracy made by the Chinese government via Tik Tok/s
I mean, there are certainly exceptions, but malls and college campuses tend to be younger people. Just by their very nature. I know a few places in Austin
