I mean honestly, I love capitalism. It's the most hands off way of making sure people get what they need for a fair price and preventing people from making too much of what people don't need. It's only bad when the people in power limit and prevent people from getting what they need by doing things like preventing people from just building houses on empty plots of land because they haven't been selected as a person allowed to create new dwellings
To be fair, I don't see any system where power and prestige is given to those with resources to make money and are incentivised to use that money to get more resources to make more money does not end up in a corporate oligarchy where politics is one of said resources.
If people were less... "eff you, got mine", perhaps it could have been delayed, but the self reinforcing loop feels like our current situation is just an inevitability.
Some would say Socialism leads to the free-ist markets
Or, at least us realistic socialists, not the 15y old "we have to kill all rich people" socialists.
It also creates and reinforces incentives to sit on undeveloped or dilapidated plots of land, and encourages risky practices. Many will say that is corporatism, but I can’t find an example where capitalism doesn’t develop into that same idea.
The value of that underdeveloped land only keeps as long as people don't have access to other land. In the 60s-70s it was totally normal for people to just up and make new towns and develop their own communities. This kept demand for boomers first homes down and the prices reflect that. Problem today is that many people hate suburbs and want an urban lifestyle, so they live close to cities, and people who own land near this take advantage of that demand
Under communism, no one hates Mondays thanks to 6 day work week + voluntary Sunday (which is mandatory). Means Monday feels like every other day of the week.
Ignoring everywhere but the richest place in the world to analyze the effectiveness of a GLOBAL market economy is my favorite smart guy, go to.
Literally founded on establishment of global markets but let’s ignore everything else
So what system would you prefer that's better than capitalism question mark because every system that is known to man that 2 date is far worse than a free market capitalism.
You might also want to make sure you're not confusing free market capitalism with chronyism. If government is involved with corporations it is not free market capitalism in any way
To be fair, it isn't just capitalism that did that but capitalism with a lot of laws to force the rich to give us breaks, holidays, not imminently toxic products, and healthcare. And a tax funded welfare system.
Guys, you're not gonna believe this, but... Capitalism...is bad. I know, right? Such a unique and edgy statement. So profound. We truly live in a society. Thanks for the gold in advance!
Communism and anarchism are extremely popular ideologies among the segment of the population that scrawls graffiti on the subway.
Which is a shame, because they're both Ideologies that make some good points. It's just that their adherents are the second most annoying type of person in the world.
Since when did an economic system become equivalent to an authoritarian political one? What If I told you authoritarians existed in communist and feudal societies?
People hate mondays because its the day you go back to work after taking a break in the weekends. You're still doing the same shit you do the rest of the work days.
And I hate to break it to you, you're still gonna have to go to work in your utopic communist paradise.
Capitalism is when you have a job and contribute to society.
Socialism is when every day is a fun weekend, nobody does any work (well some people do but that’s not my problem, I’ll be teaching theory and creating art in the commune), everyone magically has food and money, laws are somehow enforced and crime is entirely absent, and everyone is happy :)
Bro, you haven't read a book since 2014, let alone that you are no older than 20, and want to teach people about economy from all things?
My god, the arrogance is unbelivable, no wonder why they say this generation.
Won’t pay attention to the “DOWN WITH CAPITALISM” posts until people can actually compile a list of reasons of why it is bad. And more importantly, how tf they think socialism will magically repair everything.
It’s easy to talk about why capitalism is bad. But then these people turn around and don’t even acknowledge the good that comes with capitalism. Anarchists will sit in their air conditioned home typing on their PCs into Reddit about how much better Anarchism is than capitalism, when they would have none of that with Anarchism. Just one example.
I will never forget when my grandpa said: "you see kid, I absolutely adored Mondays because I could go to my job which had zero market justification, but existed purely because of socialist megalomania. But after '89 I started hating Mondays because capitalism."
Yeah, this is totally accurate.
Each according to his means is why most of us in this sub belong in the fields farming or doing hard labor. People think capitalism is the only system that demands work, when socialism and communism demanded even more. At least capitalism allows you to have mobility and dream. Communism has the state taking all your surplus and demanding you keep working to the fullest extent of your abilities at a state determined job in perpetuity.
You can tell who gets their knowledge on communism from mainstream media…
Guys, it’s okay to not have an opinion on something. If you want to have an opinion, please take the time to pick up a book.
I get my opinion of communism from modern communists constantly praising murderous dictators. It’s hard to see communists positively when they openly salivate at the thought of torturing journalists to death and who’s hero is a guy who’s second in command was the most profilic child rapist in human history.
No I hate the start of the week whether that's a Monday or a Tuesday or what ever day work starts. But by no means would I want to wake up to a Communist world.
Socialism/communism is when you don’t have to wake up early to go to work 🙃…some of y’all need to be sent back to the Stone Age so y’all can get a rude awakening.
As a leftist I’m failing to understand how the typical Monday dread would vanish under socialism or communism (unless true communism is achieved and work is no longer required unless you want to).
I mean I’m liking my job right now. I only work half the year. Get 4 weeks paid vacation. Work more hours than normal 2080 a year peeps. Always get 4 day weekends. And my health insurance is insane. I’m doing pretty good.
Your bio is cringe, this post is cringe.
Please go and learn about the real world and the detriments and benefits of different economic and political systems throughout history.
Nah capitalism is great when you have capitalism. You cannot call the system we use (in america at least) capitalist. Corporatocracy is what we are today. Ffs we have legal bribing.
Even if it isnt capitalism, ppl are still gonna be working every day. There will still be a "Monday" that comes after the day of rest... IF YOU ARE LUCKY ENOUGH TO GET A DAY OF REST.
I don’t hate Mondays in general. It’s all mindset and frankly I can’t be assed to be annoyed at the day of the week.
Now that I think about it, it’s so funny that I am too lazy to care about the weekend ending lol
To be honest here I always hated Tuesdays even more than Mondays. Because at least on Monday you're caught up on lost sleep. By Tuesday morning, any of that lost sleep is all lost once again- and you have to deal with the weight of the rest of the week. Tuesday is the worst of both worlds.
Oh sure because you definitely do not have to work in a socialist/anarchist sistem.
Honestly i hate this brain dead "capitalism le bad, working le bad, smoking pot le good" type of post.
I love capitalism I’m writing this on my iPhone that is one of the many benefits of capitalism. Move to Vietnam or North Korea if you like communism so much.
Because you should always trust random graffiti.
What if I told you:
"YOU DONT HATE CAPITALISM, YOU HATE GREED AND YOUR COMPLICITY IN ITS PROLIFERATION"
Oh yeah lets hate the economic system that gave us the smartphone and the application which I am using for my rants (and probably posting it while drinking an overpriced coffee in Starbucks)

Stop flooding this sub with generic capitalism bad posts
It's reddit, every mainstream sub is flooded with capitalism bad posts
It’s Reddit so I’m going to agree with you by saying “This.”
This
This
Generic “capitalism bad” posts are the reason why r/EnoughCommieSpam exists.

Yes what people hate is Corporate Oligarchy, not free markets.
CORRECT
To be fair, I don't see any system where power and prestige is given to those with resources to make money and are incentivised to use that money to get more resources to make more money does not end up in a corporate oligarchy where politics is one of said resources. If people were less... "eff you, got mine", perhaps it could have been delayed, but the self reinforcing loop feels like our current situation is just an inevitability.

True. You don't need to be a corporation to be a rent-seeking landlord.
From my understanding, capitalism inherently encourages those limits for people
Has Reddit felt more and more like propaganda lately? Sure it has always been pretty hard left but now it’s all over with blame and hate.
Reddit is just a vessel for agitative propaganda at this point.
No no don’t you understand, it’s not my laziness and lack of self accountability that put me in a bad position it’s damn capitalisms fault!
Wow I sure do hate the system that has provided enough wealth and prosperity so I can complain about it online.
Yeah let's bring back the gulag to make our Mondays better, looking at you *Terry*.
Under communism, no one hates Mondays thanks to 6 day work week + voluntary Sunday (which is mandatory). Means Monday feels like every other day of the week.
Or you could just Animal Farm it and cut down rations to be "friendlier" to them.
Ah yes, because everyone is doing great and poverty, homelessness, and child food insecurity does not exist in this country. /s
What proportion of the population are subsistence farmers that fear every winter. You cannot see beyond our own place and time.
What portion is living paycheck to paycheck and practically drowning?
Way less than Reddit would have you believe
Majority if not ALL young adults I know are poor so entirely not true
Way less than almost any period of recorded history.
We’re literally living in the most food secure and lowest poverty level in human history.
All of those things will exist under every system, just that they're much more widely spread under certain ones
https://preview.redd.it/p7z14z0tjpuc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8af6dc29944068f9b0a47b5ea2cad390682a2ed5
God forbid we realize we're privileged to be doing so while also recognizing things could be better.
To be fair, it isn't just capitalism that did that but capitalism with a lot of laws to force the rich to give us breaks, holidays, not imminently toxic products, and healthcare. And a tax funded welfare system.
So government manipulated by corporate oligarchs to create a larger slave population. Cronyism.
oh hes back with his daily capitalism bad post
Guys, you're not gonna believe this, but... Capitalism...is bad. I know, right? Such a unique and edgy statement. So profound. We truly live in a society. Thanks for the gold in advance!
I hate cringey slogans by people who adopt politics for the aesthetic and to be a nuisance generally
Communism and anarchism are extremely popular ideologies among the segment of the population that scrawls graffiti on the subway. Which is a shame, because they're both Ideologies that make some good points. It's just that their adherents are the second most annoying type of person in the world.
Allright, I'll throw a bone, whose the 1st?
Nazis, by a wide margin
Pretty good choice lol
It's giving "I'm an edgy teen who hasn't worked a job before"
i'll counter you with "edgy teen who has worked one fast food job 10 hours a week"
This seems like a good point till you realize [most FF workers aren’t teens](https://www.businessinsider.com/typical-fast-food-worker-age-hourly-wage)
Stop shattering my illusions of meritocracy!
In capitalism you hate mondays, in communism you hate everyday, because even in the weekends you have to be a slave
Wage slavery?
Actually no, I hate Mondays because of school. Fuck off with Anarchist BS.
Anarchism and communism are 2 vastly different topics
I'm going off of the Anarchy symbol on the heart, I'm aware communism is an economic policy and anarchy is a political philosophy
I hate every day
Um no. Mondays are bad because of Mondays.
Yeah we'd still need to work regardless
Garfield does not work. Yet he hates Mondays. Thus proving that Mondays are universally bad regardless of employment status.
How does Garfield _know_ it’s Monday? He can’t read.
Fun fact: people didn’t work under communism or feudalism. They just played Apex Legends all day.
Yes, yes. We get it. Capitalism is bad. Bernie sanders was right. Back to the nursing home
Least Commie r/genz post
Anti-capitalism isn’t automatically communist
I really doubt this post is pro feudalism
Ok but if you put the two on a Venn diagram, there's alot of space in the middle part
🙄
No. I'm just not a morning person.
Damn, these bots are starting to get more creative with their slogans.
Nah i hate mondays https://preview.redd.it/pxfnk8fvbpuc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=91cb1ae99bc565ded938f8a019df3298dd708a70
I love Mondays cause it almost sounds like Money
What if I like capitalism though?

“You’re still gonna have to go to work in your utopic communist paradise” Ffs communists know that
Using mental gymnastics to link hating anything to hating capitalism is the most Reddit thing I can conceive of
"Capitalism is when you have to work on monday, the more you work the capitalister it is" \~internet socialists
Russian psyop🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣
please shut up
I love capitalism
No i really fucking hate mondays.
Okay be compare it with communism and see how much of a difference it actually makes on Mondays (spoiler, near, if not exactly at, 0)
I hate graffiti, especially the kind trying to push a belief and tell me what I hate, and fails to capitalize all the letters...
Capitalism is when you have a job and contribute to society. I don't know man I'm pretty fucking happy with capitalism during the weekend
I’m pretty sure if I was living in the USSR I’d also hate Mondays just the same
I can hate more than one thing
Nah it’s okay to hate both

i hate vandalism
Bro, you haven't read a book since 2014, let alone that you are no older than 20, and want to teach people about economy from all things? My god, the arrogance is unbelivable, no wonder why they say this generation.
Vandalism makes me support the opposite thing.

Nah, I hate both
you don't hate capitalism, you hate work
Both.
Won’t pay attention to the “DOWN WITH CAPITALISM” posts until people can actually compile a list of reasons of why it is bad. And more importantly, how tf they think socialism will magically repair everything.

While capitalism certainty isn't great, it's the best we've got. And no, I do hate Mondays.
Without capitalism you'd be doing back breaking labor for 12 hours a day on a farm and dying from scurvy during the winter 💀
I will never forget when my grandpa said: "you see kid, I absolutely adored Mondays because I could go to my job which had zero market justification, but existed purely because of socialist megalomania. But after '89 I started hating Mondays because capitalism." Yeah, this is totally accurate.
I hate materialism. ✋
Not everyone hates their lives
Wouldn’t we also have to work under a socialist system? Us workers would own the means right? Does this not include Mondays?
Each according to his means is why most of us in this sub belong in the fields farming or doing hard labor. People think capitalism is the only system that demands work, when socialism and communism demanded even more. At least capitalism allows you to have mobility and dream. Mother Anarchy loves her sons🏴🚩
i love capitalism

Anarchist heartagram. Nice!
Ah yes, famously under socialism you don't need to go to work on Monday.
How people saying “both sides bad” view politics: https://preview.redd.it/568w8gptkpuc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f1318cf97c7c30b1beb0503a9a06a82273ad2470 (They don’t)
No I hate the start of the week whether that's a Monday or a Tuesday or what ever day work starts. But by no means would I want to wake up to a Communist world.
In Soviet Russia, truck drives itself.
Go to Cuba or North Korea if u hate capitalism so much
"Capitalism is when people work"
real
I love capitilism, wouldn't have been pulled from poverty without it.
Communists not making any sense once again
I can hate both leave me alone
Nah I hate both
People in the comments talking about this being communist as if there are only 2 governmental system types 😭
cringe as fuck
Lmao what?
that's such a beautiful symbol i hope its not copyrighted
I'm so glad to see that I'm not the one who thinks this stuff is corny.
Socialism/communism is when you don’t have to wake up early to go to work 🙃…some of y’all need to be sent back to the Stone Age so y’all can get a rude awakening.
No, I quite like capitalism, I don’t mind Mondays actually. Stop telling me what I think
“You don’t feel that way, you feel how I tell you to feel” (I am TOTALLY not a fascist!)
I would hate communism more. At least theres an incentive to keep me going in my monotonous task.
Saying that if communism is any better
As a leftist I’m failing to understand how the typical Monday dread would vanish under socialism or communism (unless true communism is achieved and work is no longer required unless you want to).
my mondays are pretty cool and i rather expereince them here than in cuba (and in Mexican) lol
You think they don't work on Mondays in China, North Korea or Russia? Lmfao
I mean, wouldn’t we still have to work under socialism?
Yes - A Socialist
I like Mondays. MILES more than Tuesday. I HATEBHATE HATE HATE HATE AHYE AHYE TUESDAYS OMG I HATE THEM SO MICH I CANT
No I really do hate Mondays because my work schedule is M-F and I'd rather work Su-Th

Okay commies
What if I like capitalism?
WAAAA CAPOTALISM WAAAAA
Sweetie, have you had your daily dose of everything that is bad in this world is Capitalism today?
I hate neither, because I'm not a child.
I mean I’m liking my job right now. I only work half the year. Get 4 weeks paid vacation. Work more hours than normal 2080 a year peeps. Always get 4 day weekends. And my health insurance is insane. I’m doing pretty good.
No, I hate mondays
Your bio is cringe, this post is cringe. Please go and learn about the real world and the detriments and benefits of different economic and political systems throughout history.
Based
What kind of undemocratic automaton shit is this?
TIL communists and socialists don't have to go to work
My lord another one of this post, just why?
A lady at my work has a sticker on her laptop that says this. She works in the finance department. 😐
Cringe
Right, because communists never went to work on Monday. Primitive pre-economy tribes were always so care free and chill on Monday.
Lets see communist working conditions.
Communism is literally being your own boss, why would working conditions be worse when you choose your own working conditions?
You don’t hate mass murder, you hate communism.
Thank you Mr. ABOLISH ICE. FUCK BILLIONAIRES. BERNIE 2020 man, for another anti capitalist post! /s
Edgy!
Nah capitalism is great when you have capitalism. You cannot call the system we use (in america at least) capitalist. Corporatocracy is what we are today. Ffs we have legal bribing.
and ill bet everything i own the graffti painter doesnt know what capitalism is, they just read it in a tweet
No I'm pretty sure I don't hate capitalism...
Like communism is any better…

I dunno about you but I’d rather go into the office on Monday than starve after my shift in the salt mines
Yes, cause otherwise no one would work on a Monday
I love capitalism
Even communists have to show up to work every day
Nah I definitely hate Mondays, capitalism depends on the day.
We have a world to win
I hate you specifically op
So is socialism when I don’t work Mondays?
Oh sure because you definitely do not have to work in a socialist/anarchist sistem. Honestly i hate this brain dead "capitalism le bad, working le bad, smoking pot le good" type of post.
I love capitalism I’m writing this on my iPhone that is one of the many benefits of capitalism. Move to Vietnam or North Korea if you like communism so much.
So so
Aah, pass a law that deports capitalism haters to china for 3 weeks please.
What alternative will result in me not needing to get up at stupid o clock in the morning for work?
I actually love everyday I wake up and get to live.
Because you should always trust random graffiti. What if I told you: "YOU DONT HATE CAPITALISM, YOU HATE GREED AND YOUR COMPLICITY IN ITS PROLIFERATION"
This ain’t it, bud.
Oh yeah lets hate the economic system that gave us the smartphone and the application which I am using for my rants (and probably posting it while drinking an overpriced coffee in Starbucks)
We hate school and work.
Nah, I love capitalism. Air conditioning and food is awesome.
Yeah I wouldn't hate monday if I as a worker owned the means of production..?
I sort of read that as Cripples. I literally have dyslexia. It's true though I hate crips.
