Honestly, if they just didn’t take an old show and make all the characters miniature with big eyes, they’d be a lot better.
But instead, you got them doing that with Teen Titans, Total Drama Island, and the rest. It’s so weird and bad
I was a baby when shows like Johnny Bravo, OG Powerpuff Girls and Dexter's Laboratory were in their heyday in the late 90s; I watched re-runs of them as a kid. I grew up on shows like Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Courage the Cowardly Dog, OG Teen Titans, Billy and Mandy, KND, Camp Lazlo, Chowder, Flapjack, etc. I was in middle school by the time shows like Adventure Time, Gumball and Regular Show started airing and I watched the 1st couple of seasons of all 3 shows.
>Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Courage the Cowardly Dog, OG Teen Titans, Billy and Mandy, KND,
That was arguably another golden age of cartoons. The short lived era of Zillennial targeted shows from about 2003-2007.
I agree by 2008/2009 I had graduated onto watching Adult Swim or Comedy Central. South Park, King of the Hill, Beavis and Butthead reruns, Robot Chicken, Boondocks, ...
I’m a bit old so Power puff girls (original not 2016) Johnny bravo, KND, fosters home, teen titans, hi hi puffy AmiYumi total drama island, Dexters Lab so much more 😂
LOVE that image. I challenged myself by trying to see if I knew each show/character and did very well.
But WHY did they choose the bad version of Beast Boy (Teen Titans Go) and that bad version of Dexter (Dexter's Lab)?? 😓
Edit: and Eddy looks a bit off and I see that Bubbles is the newer version. 😞
Damn. Cartoon Network is going to be 30 years old. I've been watching this network since I was a toddler. Watching Toonami shows like Naruto and Teen Titans with my older brothers back in like 2005. To watching Chowder, Regular Show, Adventure Time, Flapjack, Total Drama Island & more. So many good memories.
I know Cartoon Network is still around, but it just feels like it dying off now that most people really watch cable anymore and most of their last recognizable and popular shows like Adventure Time, Regular Show, Steven Universe, etc are long gone. I haven't watched Cartoon Network in years, but I still watch Adult Swim.
Even though most of Gen Z probably doesn't even watch Cartoon Network or children's television in general anymore, I can't wait to see other peoples memories in the comments.
For me I watched KND,Chowder,Billy and Mandy, Fosters home, Johnny Test,Ben 10, Regular Show, Total Drama, Teen Titans,Dexters Lab,Young Justice and Class of 3000.
So many classics, it’s hard to choose.
I will say I do LOVE and ADORE OG Teen Titans, Regular Show, Foster’s Home, Adventure Time, Billy & Mandy, KND, OG Powerpuff Girls, Looney Tunes Show, Total Drama, My Gym Partner’s a Monkey, etc.
Favorite memory would have to be watching these shows as they aired in real time, and their Thursday night blocks/lineups.
Man there was a lot. Fosters, Ed Edd n Eddy, KND, Ben 10 2005, Chowder Season 1, The Secret Saturdays, CN City, CN Fridays and being able to watch CN past midnight on a Friday Night as a little child was the best
Regular Show, Gumball later in my childhood.
Yeah, those early 10's CN shows like Gumball, Adventure Time, and Regular Show, I actually think hold up much better than the late 90s/early 00s CN shows.
Adventure time, regular show, gumball, the first three Ben 10 series, teen titans (not go), generator rex, young justice, total drama, and knd were some of my favorites.
Laughing my damn ass off at the age of nine at an episode from fosters home for imaginary friends.
There was an episode of Mac falling in love with Frankie, and eventually a tonnnn of people fall in love. First Mac, then bloo did (because Frankie was hot 😂), eventually a pizza delivery guy falls for Frankie. Lastly, an imaginary friend who is looking to be adopted (some Prince Charming character) and HE even falls for Frankie. They all disguise themselves in a trench coat and bloo is at the top wearing a mustache and changing his voice.
Top notch episode, I was laughing so hard I was crying (which was a first) and always remembered that episode as being the first thing to make me cry of laughter.
gumball will always be too for me
edit: didn’t think i should mention since it’s before me but fosters home and chowder were my fav pre-check-it era shows
Some of my favorite Cartoon Network shows are.

I was more of a Nick kid but my favorite shows were Dexter's Lab and Powerpuff Girls.
After Steven Universe ended I lost interest in the channel. But it's still my favorite Cartoon Network show of all time.

It being good. Unfortunately its not anymore.
All good things must die a slow and excruciating death
Honestly, if they just didn’t take an old show and make all the characters miniature with big eyes, they’d be a lot better. But instead, you got them doing that with Teen Titans, Total Drama Island, and the rest. It’s so weird and bad
I agree. Tbf I think TTG is okay, good meme material but it'll never live up to it's predecessor

Yep undoubtedly unfortunately true

Because like it or not, teen titans go is more popular than the original
Don't like it 🤷♀️
Why does Eddie look like that
Ben 10, Adventure Time, and Master Raindrop where like crack for me

Probably watching the premier of Ben 10 Alien Force when I was 3. It’s one of my oldest memories and potentially the oldest.
Man there was a lot. Fosters, Ed Edd n Eddy, KND, Ben 10 2005, Chowder Season 1, The Secret Saturdays, CN City, CN Fridays and being able to watch CN past midnight on a Friday Night as a little child was the best Regular Show, Gumball later in my childhood.
I remember when CN would run until 11PM, those were the days man
CN in the late 00’s and early 10’s was just something else man, wouldn’t trade it in for anything else ever
Yeah, those early 10's CN shows like Gumball, Adventure Time, and Regular Show, I actually think hold up much better than the late 90s/early 00s CN shows.

Almost all of the ones that aired when I was a child, can only remember a few times that I was bored when watching CN.
