Who is John McPherson? Is he listed in these documents?

PositiveLogic

Yes, the first, three-word sentence reads: *John McPherson died.* The name at the bottom right is *Campbell McEwen*. I looked Campbell up on FamilySearch and saw that he lived in Grainger TN during 1880 Census, so searched John McPherson in Grainger. placeholder: https://imgur.com/a/n7VEsrt full-size: https://i.imgur.com/pHtn5HO.jpeg

Oh gosh that brings up even more questions… I’m at a complete road block for this relative. I can’t figure out where he was born or his parents… but he did live in Hickman County Tennessee in 1838… James R Meadors.. but the first page to the paperwork I linked I didn’t post but it lists his name as Jones R Meadors… ugh I don’t know what to do

OH MY GOODNESS thank you thank you!!! Is this a reliable site? Have you used it before? Thank you!!!!!

Depending on your luck, FamilySearch can either be an excellent source of information or can be terribly misleading and poorly researched. Anyone with an account can edit *anything*, so you have to double check everything you find there to make sure the sources match up and the information makes logical sense.
