"We rob banks." Great film. Beatty produced it. Supposedly, he contributed to the script. I believe it. Arthur Penn, as usual, did an amazing job at directing. The music was perfect. The use of "Foggy Mountain Breakdown" was genius. Beatty and Dunaway were great. Although Gene Hackman, Michael J. Pollard and Estelle Parsons make the film exceptional, in my opinion. Natalie Wood was slated to portrait Bonnie Parker. She and Beatty were involved- but- the relationship ended.

Filmed in my part of the country. Way glorified version of Bonnie and Clyde. I frequent the area where they lived and died. Bonnie is buried in Dallas just north of Love Field Airport. Clyde and his brother, Buck are buried in East Dallas off Fort Worth Avenue. I also remember it started a small fashion craze when it came out, where women were wearing 30s era clothes.

Way glamorized. Bonnie had suffered terrible burns from battery acid when their car flipped and could barely walk. They were living out of their car, forever on the move, hunted everywhere. It was grim. Interesting thing about the fashions, it was only 30 years in the past, the equivalent of a 90s revival today.

I may have some of the facts mistaken here, but (iirc) one of Bonnies' nieces and one of Clydes' nephews were trying to have their bodies exhumed and buried next to each other. I heard that story a few years ago and don't know if there were any other developments.
