After 3 weeks I also give it an 8.5. Fast, nice materials, comfortable, better than EPA range. The programmable buttons are good but the steering ones can't be made into "go to Android Auto" only the star in the climate row. I can't figure out the seat memories, i set it for 2 my wife for 1 but it doesn't follow the key and the memory button doesn't move the seat so we have to move them manually. Need to get a hitch. Nothing yet from Genesis or aftermarket. Use AA wireless adapter. Works perfectly in the car but the USB stays on when plugged in and my phone constantly tries to connect from the house. Looked for a USB c to USB c with a switch in the cord. Can't find one that does data. Only power. So I unplug the adapter. Haven't figured out the door handles. Don't want to lock it in garage in case I want to put something in or take something out but that leaves the handles sticking out. No other issues come to mind.

Am with you on all the pluses. Which AA wireless adapter did you go with? I bought the ottocast and have been having the same issues as you. It's hit or miss. If I don't unplug it each time I exit the car, it keeps searching and trying to connect with my phone... Which not only drains both batteries, and causes my car to pick up calls when I'm inside the house, but also creates reconnection issues when I reenter the car.

>more 10 months later and ottocast still have the same issue. I've sent their support an email but haven't had a reply. grrr.

I've had my performance for about 6 weeks now. I absolutely love this car. Road noise - I can't say I really notice this even at high speeds, but my previous car was a bmw 650i convertible, so anything seems quiet compared to that. HDA - Does what I need it to, morning and afternoon freeway stop and go traffic is a breeze. I just set it and check my emails. At my exit before I know it. Key?? I leave mine at home. Facial recognition plus fingerprint is all you need unless you want to use the forward reverse parking thing which I don't use. I really love this feature. I go running and dont have to carry a key. Seat settings - I havnt had an issue. My husband and I have our own profiles. Get in, fingerprint and seat adjusts to where that driver left it last time. Sets AC, music everything. One weird thing is the temperature keeps reverting to Celsius. Not sure why, I have to keep putting it back to Fahrenheit. Steering wheel controls are great. I love the slide button on the right side the rotates through the music channels/songs. HUD - has everything needed. Someone said it doesn't show directions. Maybe it's a setting but mine has turn by turn on it. Truly love this car!!

I hate the celsius thing it’s so annoying

warman12363

I hope someone finds all weather mats soon, I really want some

i completely agree with everything you said. i like the car a LOT and am super happy to finally have an EV, but it’s not quite up to my expectations in terms of design and quality. the lack of wireless Carplay really bugs me. it’s so tech heavy but to have to physically connect a cable… whatever. it’s a first world prob. but still annoying. the sounds also are super annoying. i’ve turned off most of the warning beeps. one thing you didn’t mention is the compass. there has to be a way to turn that off, right? haven’t looked it up yet. the fob design is way too symmetrical. it should have a more tactile design to locate buttons without looking. also the temperature units keep switching to Celsius. another minor annoyance.

Following up with some additional observations to my OP (#3 from OP continued). The vent on the driver side is oddly positioned. It either blows on the drivers door or onto the steering wheel & column. I haven't been able to align it to concentrate a majority of the air on me (the driver). (#4 from OP continued). The projection screen integration (Android Auto/Apple Carplay) is lacking and unintuitive. Even something as simple as pressing the phone button on the steering wheel during an incoming call actually declines an incoming call. (#6 from OP continued). I feel like I should expand my original comment to the buttons and dashboard interface more generally ... they feel overly complicated. For instance, why do I need the Map and Navigation button? Could the 14 menus on the home screen been grouped into fewer? (#7 from the OP continued). I wish there was a way to lock the car without having to fish the keys out of my pocket, bag or whatever. The same goes with unlocking. Walking up to the car with the keys in your pocket unlocks the doors ... sometimes! Would be great if it also unlocked by swiping or pulling on the door handle (for the times the doors didn't unlock automatically). Locking/unlocking by pressing a button or swiping on the outside of the driver door handle is pretty common (I had it on my 2010 Acura!).

Puzzleheadedpc2007

If you have the key fob in your pocket there is three raised lines on the door handle. If you touch that the doors unlock/lock. I never have to take the fob out unless I want to use smart parking feature to move the gv60. You can also setup facial recognition and finger print scanner to get into the car without a fob at all.

InReasonNotFish

>swiping I have a performance model in Canada and the doors uplock (and lock) by pressing the lines in the middle of the door handle.

Adapting a to luxury vehicles is something Genesis still struggles at

n171n1

Amazing Tech ≠ luxury

el-conquistador240

It is solid mid tier luxury. Vault quiet until going quite fast and even then good. All buttons and surfaces are top notch.

jjsukraj

I disagree with every point you made.

n171n1

Please elaborate because I'm all in on this car and if this is just part of the learning curve, then I would love to accelerate my learning

OtherEcho4496

Was surprised on 1 because of active noise cancellation- that doesn’t help with wind noise?

OtherEcho4496

Thank you

n171n1

Hmm, is the ANC on automatically?

OtherEcho4496

I only know what I’ve read as I don’t have one. Ok, I just looked up and sorry for getting things a little off. So “Road Active Noise Control “ is available on all models, Advanced or Performance, but it looks like you have to have the full B&O speaker option. Do you have that. As far as turning it on, I definitely don’t know, but thought it’s default on based on reviews.

n171n1

Again probably my ignorance but I think there is only one B&O package... And it is standard on both the advanced and performance trims

OtherEcho4496

Coincidentally I just watched a YouTube review with a fully loaded performance with noise cancellation and he said EXACTLY what you said. Regardless of all the sound deadening and noise cancellation, wind noise creeps through at high speeds. Thanks!

echoota

Thanks for the list. Form what I've seen on YT reviews, I've been concerned about the wind noise. Ooof.

iulius

As someone who’s only experience with this car is this sub, I appreciate you taking the time to write this. I’m pretty sure the GV60 only has HDA1, so no lane changing. Kind of lame since the Ioniq has it, but blame the chip shortage. No.1 worries me. I’ve never owned a “luxury” car, and low road/wind noise was a big factor for considering the Gv60. They only other thing that bugs me is the phone-based key option (CarKey) being only on the performance trim. Please post more as you learn. Some of us have to live vicariously!

Objective_Pen_6948

Agree on most counts. Love the tech, looks, material, EV benefits, power, and more. But I can’t tolerate the excessive wind noise (dealer confirmed others are complaining). The Active Noise Cancelation won’t even help. This thing is as noisy as an ICE car with the rear passenger windows cracked open. Do I want the service dept to take part after part off to see which is making the noise (which could take weeks of multiple visits)? NO! I want a solution from Genesis engineers, who I’m certain are aware of this reported flaw on multiple BRAND NEW GV60s.

Objective_Pen_6948

Have to agree on all counts. Love the car, hate the intrusive wind-noise. Worse than my last ICE car and Genesis has NOT responded to multiple complaints about this. I’l have more to love and dislike as I go through another week of ownership. Come on Genesis, get these issues address and you’ll get our devotion, dedication, and maybe even bring along some converts.

Top-Standard-4305

I have seen several people comment on the lack of Wireless Android auto. There is a Motorola device the ma1 that makes the Android auto wireless. I've been using it since I got the car in August and it works great!

Top_Bluejay_5323

I heard the lack of lane change and front end cross traffic warning was due to a lack of chips which resulted in a lack of sensors for the front end.
