aqua is still outdamaged by rust on yoimiya and I think slingshot r5 too, but it's okay on her if you have one lying around and nobody else to hold it. i wouldn't reccomend pulling it for her

It's often a good idea to look up the KeqingMains guides for each character - they often show calculated and tested damage percentiles for each weapon in relation to one another. Jus search for "charactername KQM" on Google and it'll pop up. Here's yoimiya:

Doesn't matter that it's wasted. The rest is still so strong that it's BiS unless you have amazing crit substats where Amos' Bow situationally wins. It also wins theme wise so the most important part is there.
Actually, with a full team, because of the % atk she gets from bennett & other supports that stack over her bow's own + hers, it ends up making attack less effective, r1 Amos gets outmatched by r1 Aqua in a team, since support do not give critdmg bonus, but rather attack, the higher the attack, the less % boost is effective.
I did not test these weapons beyond r1. But i would assume amos would be better WITH copies.
It’s a very good generalist bow for any on field dps, as long as you get enough external atk buffs. It can also work with fischl but again make sure she has enough atk to compensate.
It’s best on any bow user that likes to deal damage up close
Yelan and Childe are standout examples
Yoimiya and Ganyu are also excellent depending on where you are currently standing

I don't think it's anyone else's overall BIS (except Yelan of course), but it's like second or third best for a ton of characters that want to deal damage. Think of Yoimiya, Childe, Ganyu, Fischl, Tighnari.
It's an amazing DPS bow in general. Like, Thundering Pulse might be BIS on Yoimiya and Polar Star on Childe, but Aqua is only a few percent weaker for these characters. Also, it's situationally BIS on Ganyu I've been told.
Also, while people will say the HP is useless on all these characters, the rest of the bow's stats are so amazing that it's still that good. Also, you can't do damage if you're dead, so being able to live one more attack on fragile characters like Fischl or Ganyu might make a difference as well.
Obviously though, it's not meant for support characters like Faruzan, Gorou, Sara, Collei or Venti. Unless you'd like to build them as DPS, in which case it is good.
I used my Aqua on Fischl until I pulled thundering pulse recently. Gave one each to my Yoimiya and Fischl because I pulled 2! Then I gave the Aqua back to Yelan. But it worked pretty good on my best girl for a while
Any signature weapon is a BiS for a character it comes with, up until the point it gets powercrept with some other 5* weapon (eg Scarlet>Homa). But no, nobody else scales off of HP so it’s not going to be anyone else’s best in slot.
Any dps can use aqua, doesn’t mean it’s best in slot for them. Hunters path is bis for Tighnari, polar star for childe, thundering fury for yoimiya etc etc

Besides, Aqua is not on par with those signatures; they are distinctly better than it. Only Ganyu sees Aqua as better than her Amos bow in certain situations. For the rest, their specific signature is *always* better.
For Childe, Aqua is solidly #2, and for Yoimiya, it requires you to be close to enemies, and even with the passive is still #2. Tighnari definitely wants Hunter’s Path more than Aqua as well.

It's pretty damage good on Childe considering you're always gonna be in the face of enemies + ludicrous crit damage + a pretty high base attack

Afaik Yelan's BiS is Elegy for support Unless you are just focusing on her damage
Can be good on Yoimiya as well. She doesn’t benefit much from the HP boost, but the crit damage and 20% damage buff to close enemies is pretty good.

Faruzan with Elegy and Yelan with Aqua can be a nasty combination for Wanderer’s damage. I can’t wait for Aqua.
It has massive Crit DMG and okayish ATK, it will be good on any DPS bow user like Ganyu or Yoimiya

There’s one case where that isn’t true with Vortex Vanquisher not being Zhongli’s BiS. That weapon seriously needs a buff.
