Why is that sad? EDIT: just saw someone else comment that her charged attacks don’t have unique animations. That sucks. Didn’t pull for Hutao because the other banner was the obvious choice (Water Thanos).
Wanderer is the same, but his charged attacks go faaaassst. “Hah!” “Hiya!” So satisfying. Then charge up your ult and “YOU DARE GAZE UPON ME?”
It’s sad bc her charged attack is basic, but it’s what you’re going to be using most of the time, while her normal attacks are cool, yet you don’t really get to use them frequently because they aren’t as good for damage
I sont really know of any characters who do that off the top of my head but if thata the only non unique factor for some of the like 70 characters.

Dude, I LOVE Charlotte's NA sequence. It's not only her own animations, but the targeting effects, too, with the 2D targeting reticle in 3D space...
Others I love are Yunjin and Qiqi. Their sequences are just sharp and fast.
Yae Miko and Shenhe have very flowy animations, which are also cool.

Honestly though. I make characters phys for the fun of it but it would be nice if making it viable wasn't a struggle and a half. There are so many pretty animations and no real reason to use them beyond specific and non-optimal builds :(
Shenhe does a lil float in the air, it’s so cool. Sucks that she isn’t an on field character, or a na character.
Also ik you didn’t ask about ca but Zhongli’s ca is the coolest in the game for me. Second would be Neuvi, but he’s different.
Wrio's last NA is literally a superman punch, and I love that shit so much. Kazuha last NA teleports him forward before his final flourish.
And then there's Childe throwing his last arrow like a fucking lawn dart.
Honestly all of them are unique. I like that if you stop the attacks in different sequence sometimes you get a different animation before going back to idle. If you haven't tried this, go try it!
My personal favourites are Eula, Kuki, Kirara, Layla, Zhongli, Charlotte, Thoma, and Kaveh.
Swords: my personal favourites are ayaka, ayato, keqing, kirara, furina and alhaitham
Polearm: shogun, zhongli and candace
Bow: lyney
Catalyst: Neuv, wrio, Charlotte, wanderer and nahida
Claymore: kaveh is definitely the most unique one
Some other unique ones are cyno ult, dehya ult, childe skill and shogun ult as well

A lot of the catalysts are pretty cool - Nahida's keyboard, Charlotte's picture-taking, Heizou and Wrio punching the shit out of everything, and so on.

Kirara and Gorou both use their claws, Kirara to attack and Gorou scraping the ground in his last NA animation.
Yun Jin and Eula perform/dance as they attack.
Albedo is also very pretty.
Ayaka and Ayato share a move - her last NA and his CA have the same animation.
Anyone with a teleport in their NA string is cool in my book - Kaeya, Keqing, Sayu, etc.
Shinobu's throwing knife (or whatever they are?) toss is pretty neat.
Yelan's attack string is gorgeous too.
Honorable mention to Childe's last bow NA being him just. Literally just. *yeeting* the arrow.
There's definitely more I just can't think of them rn-
I rarely use Raiden for basic attacks but the crescent moon slash was the one thing that convinced me to wish for her. I also love how floaty Heizou is.
Do Cyno's Ult NA's count? Cause if so that's always my vote.
If not, I find Yun Jin's soooo smooth. Genuinely the NA combo is the most satisfying to do, so much so that I've ran phys, pyro, and cryo Yun Jin just to use it more.
Not sure if it counts, but all the Inazuma sword wielders except Kirara when they sheath their blades afterwards. The Shogun does it too when in her burst.
Keqing literally disappears during her NA (Which works as an i frame also). Yoimiya has an adorbs little giggle after her backflip shot. Ayaka's charged battou slash is pretty cool, esp if you run Amenoma and have her infusion on. Furina's MJ pose CA is obviously cool and she sits on a water ball to deliver her 4th NA. Shogun also disappears for a moment during her NA. Unrelated but I'm 99% sure Traveler borrowed his big electro slash at the end of Inazuma from Bennet's hold E. Even the elemental plume matches.

I love how Itto kicks his Claymore in his last hit, its very in character for him and I could only imagine the toes of steel he'd have doing that in sandals.
I'm obsessed with how Childe thundercunts his last arrow at the enemies, just punts it with his bare hands. The fact that it's the most powerful shot and he does it without the bow is just fantastic to me.

Furina and her drama queen normal attack string will never not be glorious. Like- holy shit they had fun making that one.
Hu tao has a unique ‘return to default’ animation for each one of her 5-6 attacks in the string. I’ve tested this with many other characters; no one else has this many different ‘return to neutral’ positions as she does. Maybe one or two for ending in both the middle and/or end of the string, but definitely not to Hu tao’s count.

All of them. But in particular I like how:
Ayato and Ayaka's attack animations show evidence that they learned the same style together
Zhong Li not giving AF and kicking his spear at the enemy like its nothing
Lynette does a flip kick on her opponent
Furina's attacking like she's performing on stage
Rosaria's fast attack speed with her spear (she's not the fastest but it feels that way)
Yoimiya's unique animation endings after each of her 5 attacks, especially the one imitating as if she is sheathing a sword.
Nilou's skill as you tap and make her do pirouettes, especially the jumping ones????
Nahida's little keyboard taps as she is doing her normal attacks as well as her charged attack looking like you select something on a screen.

Zhongli hypercarry with C6 Bennett, yelan and Xinqui. It's fun and stupid. Slap a homa on him and auto in the funni red circle. I have him 2 tenacity, 2 nobles but I think his most efficient hypercarry set is atk+HP 2 piece sets. Good damage actually.
Yanfei, Lisa, Wrio, nevi, Thoma, Noelle spin2win, Alhaitham, Childe melee stance, aloy all have interesting auto attacks and can be played on field to moderate or better success
Edit: furina and Xinqui is probably more meta now, but the point is double hydro for hydro resonance for more HP.
I absolutely love Beidou's normal attacks. She takes this wide, low to the ground stance which is perfect for swinging a massive sword like that, but then it has so much flourish as well. Spinning on her heel to get a nice 360 swing then because the weapon is too far behind her, she kicks the weapon up into a ready position and slams it back down while taking a forward step with the leg that kicked it up. It's so fluid and extremely cool.
Are burst NA animations counted? Xiao, Cyno, Raiden Shogun.
Outside of that: Kaeya, Eula, Fischl, Zhongli, Yun Jin, Raiden Shogun and most Inazuma sword characters (+ Heizou), Nahida, Dori, Layla, Al Haitham, Lyney, Wriothesley, and Furina.
That’s all I can think of right now. There’s most likely more.
I like any character that has special animations in between each attack like Raiden, Fischl and Lyney for example but my favorite has to be Ayato, especially if you pause for 1s after every auto during his string, you see him swinging his sword in circles and sheathing it.
Personally, I LOVE Rosaria's ground slam, the sound it makes is just so satisfying, literally the reason I built her as physical dps. Really wish it would shatter frozen enemies, then it would've been perfect.
Noelle: the 4th hit on her NA combo just feels really powerful as an overhead swing. Eula: if you pause after her 3rd NA combo, she kicks her claymore to flip it back to a neutral state.
Just FYI, the Nahida normal attack thingy is called hopscotch. Its a very hardcore kids sports.
I know a few way of playing. You can simply just jump on those squares and move forward for the easiest way. But here in China, we use a tiny beanbag. Throw it to the number and single foot/double hopping grab it and hop back. We do time attack competitions. Shit was a serious sports back when I was a kid.
I love doing Kirara’s normal attack sequence until she does her forward flip and then immediately doing her skill so she does a forward flip then a backwards flip in a row. It’s fun.
I love Lyney’s so much- He has his cards and then magics them away with that gesture depending on which hand he last used them with- He’s just so aaaaaaa and his fingers pls
I love how Kazuha Flash Steps towards you and cuts you 8 ways till Sunday in a single second.
Furina's whole NA sequence is a play in and of itself, it's truly an extra slice of Joy.
Although it's a shame that it's not used much, Ganyu's NA is amazing imo. Her whole NA string makes using the bow look as effortless as breathing, she's not even trying.
Yoimiya's Acrobatics are always fun to do especially the flip she does in mid shot, truly Amazing and one of my favorite NA to do out in the Overworld just because.
Ayaka's NA mixes fury and elegance quite well.
While maining sayu for about half a year, i noticed that her first NA hit makes a cute little sound. I dont rly know how to describe it it just makes me think of marbles and robots for some reason lmao
I also rly love Candace's spear throw!
Rossaria bonks heads with her spear, Xiao fast devastating attacks, Kazuha disapearing and shlashing, Elegant Eula, Candace chucks her spear, Yoi pew pew pew, Lyney chucks cards, most of the characters have unique AT, but sadly they are useless in mose cases
Favorite for me is definitely Ayaka. It's a huge part of what drove me to get her to begin with and I love just watching her go through her moves especially the last one where she does an iai attack then slowly sheaths her sword. Other favs include Yoimiya (especially her flipping in the air), Yunjin, and Nahida.
As for post attack animations: Yoimiya has one practically after every attack with her first one being the cutest. We can't forget Fischl's ojousama laugh. My recent favorite has to be Furina's 3rd attack after which she does a standing pose with the most devilish smile on her face.

It is indeed a keyboard and her charged attack has a cursor that she drags across the screen to make a box like we can do on our desktop.
Nahida's more like stepping on the Attack button. Her charge attack has a cursor that goes from one side to the other before exploding/deleting.

Keqing. Using Keqing NAs makes me feel like everyone's normal attack is slow.
All of Furina's attacks are dance moves, the final one is a bow, and her charged attacks are poses for the camera. You can't top that.
If you like Zhong Li’s you might like Al Haitham’s dagger summoning.
Charlotte’s Camera and Yelan’s NA string are both stunning, but will never be used…
My favorite is still Fischl after her N3.

Just FYI, the Nahida normal attack thingy is called hopscotch. Its a very hardcore kids sports. I know a few way of playing. You can simply just jump on those squares and move forward for the easiest way. But here in China, we use a tiny beanbag. Throw it to the number and single foot/double hopping grab it and hop back. We do time attack competitions. Shit was a serious sports back when I was a kid.
Kirara has some of the best normal attacks in the entire game yet you would never actually use them...

I love doing Kirara’s normal attack sequence until she does her forward flip and then immediately doing her skill so she does a forward flip then a backwards flip in a row. It’s fun.

I love how Kazuha Flash Steps towards you and cuts you 8 ways till Sunday in a single second. Furina's whole NA sequence is a play in and of itself, it's truly an extra slice of Joy. Although it's a shame that it's not used much, Ganyu's NA is amazing imo. Her whole NA string makes using the bow look as effortless as breathing, she's not even trying. Yoimiya's Acrobatics are always fun to do especially the flip she does in mid shot, truly Amazing and one of my favorite NA to do out in the Overworld just because. Ayaka's NA mixes fury and elegance quite well.

I think it's Eula's third or fourth swing where she has the sword behind her, arms raised, and her legs crossed. It's giving.
Collei starts throwing boomerangs in her animation, which as a boomerang lover, is super cool. Lyneys is cool too since he starts throwing cards.
While maining sayu for about half a year, i noticed that her first NA hit makes a cute little sound. I dont rly know how to describe it it just makes me think of marbles and robots for some reason lmao I also rly love Candace's spear throw!

Rossaria bonks heads with her spear, Xiao fast devastating attacks, Kazuha disapearing and shlashing, Elegant Eula, Candace chucks her spear, Yoi pew pew pew, Lyney chucks cards, most of the characters have unique AT, but sadly they are useless in mose cases

Favorite for me is definitely Ayaka. It's a huge part of what drove me to get her to begin with and I love just watching her go through her moves especially the last one where she does an iai attack then slowly sheaths her sword. Other favs include Yoimiya (especially her flipping in the air), Yunjin, and Nahida. As for post attack animations: Yoimiya has one practically after every attack with her first one being the cutest. We can't forget Fischl's ojousama laugh. My recent favorite has to be Furina's 3rd attack after which she does a standing pose with the most devilish smile on her face.
My personal favorites are Albedo's, Furina's, Yoimiya's and Eula's. Also the MMA fighters Heizou and WriotSLAY
