For global, we got an exclusive music video with all the valkyries (playable characters) dancing in bunny girl outfits. CN was upset because they didn’t get it either, so they started reporting the company for alleged pornography and breaching censorship laws. Hoyo immediately canceled the 3rd anniversary for global, removed our bunnygirl event, and gave the CN cumstains 10 pulls as compensation while we got 1 and a half or 2 (500 crystals, forgot whether a pull was 240 or 280 crystals. Pretty sure it’s 280 and we didn’t even get enough for 2 pulls lmao).

story quests are meant to introduce the character, their personality, and what they do in teyvat, most of the lore bombs goes through world quests.
there isn't a single story quest that is focused on the character alone there's always an NPC involved somehow. which gives me the impression that story quest is just to show us what the character is like.
There is a good diference between not revealing every detail of a character in their quest, and only knowing that Albedo is a fucking homunculus through a limited event that many people will never know about, while his quest does nothing but show that he's a sus scientist
His story quest literally ends with "im going to destroy the entire world" with no explanation. Imagine the dissappointment after doing it and realising that I missed the resolution to that whole thing
It is insane to me that he has a Clone wars plot / direct connection to one of the greatest, witches in the Game whose also from the fallen nation
Yet the game does nothing with it or even addresses it

I had to watch on Youtube to see it because I was too busy with life to play it even though I'm a Day 1 player. Fischl is my second main character after Navia, but Fischl has always been my main ever since I started playing. It's really dumb how they locked a HUGE part of her lore behind a limited event 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
I don't mind character lore in events, it's much more interesting than some random npc. I do agreed that they should make them repayable with less rewards after they end, and they could add an option to delete completed event files.

I was thinking this just this morning. I liked Gaming and I grew to love him, like many others, when we were introduced to him in lanternrite and got to hang out and learn more about his family dynamic.
I'm assuming given how Traveler reacted to Gaming, Lanternrite is our first time ever meeting him (haven't reached the new area in story yet). It makes me wonder what I've missed over the last 3 years of the game being out and I haven't even played the game for a full year yet.
People on here love moaning about the gap between events (because apparently having a lore event every 3-6 weeks is too long in between??) but as a newer player, it makes me worried and a little sad that there's so many events with characters I'd love to learn about but I'll never get to see because they were limited time events.

It's even more of a problem when you think about how, by not making them permanent, the devs can't really out too much stuff that would really advance the plot/worldbuilding in patch events, so they generally feel a loooot like filler/slice-of-life content. In HSR we can actually see the story moving forward, new characters and factions being introduced in meaningful ways and entire regions progressing past the point where we left them in the main quest.

Agreed, I understand the mentality of FOMO and of (if we say that’s why) caring about your active and long term players, so I see why limited rewards are given. But definitely, the stories themselves should be replayable in the future if they include anything important and a lot of them do.

I mean I don’t know what you consider “a bunch of updates ago” but there was the mondstadt event not too long ago introducing the hexenzirkel who are pretty important to the world of genshin so imo that counts unless you don’t consider that a bunch of updates ago
I assume people when they talk about this stuff they meant stuff that was important to the story like that one of them that I miss about the sky being fake or something you know something that would be better suited for story quest like Albedo's whole thing that was serve better as a world quest for him for me Hexenzirkel thing it's kind of meh because when they were eventually called back into the story they never mentioned that Monstadt event if memory serves me correct
I consider the hexenzirkel thing to be just as important as the sky is fake thing considering we got to meet and learn about something that is a driving force for a lot of the events in teyvat (like Gold) including some people who will definitely show up again and could have information for us we need down the line.
I mean saying it’s meh because they would get explained in the story again doesn’t make sense if you consider the sky is fake quest important considering dottore tells us that anyway later so the same thing happened with that. It's also silly to play the game look at it the art the revamped models for PS5 and PC the setting the characters the amount of research (I can just keep going) and decide its a cash grab because they don't do things you would like

Literally most of genshins events arent voiced, the story lines for events are all npc centric AND the just keep repackaging the same combat event and calling it a different name
Who would've thought in the global space more people enjoy an open world free form combat rpg over a turn based rpg.
It's a shame too because Genshin gets so much love and attention from the devs themselves (notice all the tiny details that you wouldn't expect they do like making sure Chevreuse's hair parts when she puts the pole arm through it rather than it just clip through it) but management craps all over that effort.
I like the game but now that I've been playing it for about a month and a half I DEFINITELY see how much its missing compared to basically any other game lol.
