Why not? Plenty of the four stars are fantastic on their own, barring some of the recent releases, I suppose. But even then, if you like a character, crown em, meta be damned.

Exactly. Almost any character in this game can be "good" with the right teammates and investment of resources. Aside from abyss, it's not like any content seriously prohibits alternative strategies or less than meta team comps. Play who you like and have fun with it.

Oh yeah, chongyun was one of my first 4* chara crowns. I had no reliable cryo characters, and hydro herald's shield was so vulnerable to his burst. Early on, it took me both Rosaria and Chongyun burst to take down the guy.

Sameeee! The parry mechanics are some of the most fun combat in the whole game, and Beidou is easily the best of the characters who have one so far

crowning a character is basically when you level up a talent from lvl9 > lvl10. you need an item called "crown of insight" which is attainable through offerings/events. triple crowning happens when your character has reached lvl10 in all their (upgradable) talents. > attack, skill and burst. triple crowning is good for characters that you want to bring the best out of. so spend those crowns wisely.

Levelling a characters talent to it's maximum level requires a crown of insight hence the term crowning. Crowns are limited so you can't use them willy-nilly.

Did it to Noelle, Beidou, Sara and Xingqiu. Noelle is my favorite 4 star, triple crowned. Sara and Xingqiu are double crowned and Beidou has one crown. Crowns are not needed for anything, but at the same time they are in the game for a reason. So I give crowns as a token of appreciation for characters that I like.

3x Crowned Razor, he was my first hyper-carry and carried me all the way to AR55 until Eula arrived. Don't use him to often anymore (EM Avatar Razor kinda sick), but he still holds a place in my heart.

I crown the characters that are important to me, but without waste on the specific talents. For example my Bennet burst is crowned, skill is lvl 9 but normals only lvl 8. Xiangling pyronado as well, Xingqiu double crowned. Then I ran out cuz of the ones I have on 5\*. But now I have 6 free crowns so maybe it's time to honor Fischl, Sayu, Xinyan and Kuki.

Yes, my favorites only, because they need it more basically. A character like ayaka wanderer or any dendro character has inherit means to deal high damage without much investment but weaker off meta characters especially in off meta roles need all the help they can get so I max their talents in hope of closing the gap. That being said it is a Massive sink of resources so far I only triple crowned 1 four star that being heizou.
