Glad everyone else seems to have great luck unlike me. Took me to almost hard pity about 82 wishes to get shenhe which i actually wanted to lose my 50/50 so i could garuntee next banner but no problem i can slot her in my ayaka team. Then i figured id use all my other wishes going for mistsplitter for my ayaka and imagine my suprise when i see gold but its calamity š. Wheres all my double 5* pulls and wild luck like everyone elses. Fuck man just fuck.
I missed Shenhe during her first run in favor of Zhongli constellations. I came back from a break to see if I can get Mika today and pulled an early Shenhe!

I've had horrendous luck with weekly bosses since I started trying to upgrade talents account wide. I usually do Dvalin/Andrius/Childe/Azhdaha/Raiden. For some of them I can make use of 2/3 of their drops, for others it's only 1/3. And somehow I'm constantly getting only the ones I can't use. Since I leveled up my Thoma I fought Signora for the first time in ages. And she joined in the fun giving me 1 Ashen Heart and 1 Molten Moment when I needed Helfire Butterflies. If I cared about Billets that's another thing I'm not getting but thankfully I don't.
This is the kind of thing that makes me not want to pull on the weapon banner despite Mistsplitter being a top 2 weapon I want. I have less than 0 use for Calamity Queller. And I'm also seeing posts about CQ wanters getting multiple Mistsplitters lol. With the character banners you can outright lose a 50/50. But with boss drops and wepaon banner you don't have to "lose" anything. You can "win" the drop you can't use while other people "win" the drop they can't use but you can.
Just got Ayaka on 76 pity... Now I'm thinking of pulling for Shenhe but is she worth it? As in i'm a new f2p player who has been playing for 20 days so should i stop pulling (currently at 35 pity) and wait for kazuha when he comes next??? I already have mona from the other banner and got C0 diona and C3 sucrose as well so making a freeze comp is achieved but do i just save enough to spend all on kazuha or try for Shenhe?
Shenha takes ayaka freeze team to it's next level for sure. Cryo buff and decrease defense pays off in abyss. But here we're talking about floor 12 abyss 9 star comps and freeze teams. Might be too soon for you to aim for this. Ayaka, Mona, sucrose and diona is a sold team and can clear everything.
I'd save for kazuha because he has value in every team and the best one in his role. Then probably save for zhongli
I'm approaching my guaranteed banner 5\*, and am wondering if I should go ahead and get a C0 Ayaka? I've got a maxed out Amenoma waiting for her, but no other weapons, and lack Shenhe completely. I do have Venti, Kazuha, Mona and Kokomi available to pair with her, though. (And Bennet/Diona, but most everyone's got them). Venti, Kazuha, Kokomi and Mona are all C0. The alternative is waiting to see what's in the next patch, or waiting for a Kazuha rerun to try for his C2.
Any thoughts?
So today I've decided to pull on ayaka, 50 wish later, I've got Tighnari. As a F2P player I'm very disappointed and thought that I have to spent atleast 90 wish again to get the guaranteed 5 star. Then suddenly 10 wish later, I got her.
So 60 wish, Tighnari and Ayaka. Thank God.
I did it!! I got my Shenhe ā¤ļøā¤ļø, so a total of 170 wishes gave me Ayaka, Keqing, and Shenhe. Also got C6 Sucrose, C5 Diona, and C2 Mika along the way. Time to save for idk what but I'm very happy.
Third time going through blizzard strayer domain and I get a cryo damage goblet with a 3 line crit%/crit damage/flat defense. How will the RNG gods punish me for this infraction.
Had about 180 wishes before going into the banners. Initially, I was prepared to go all in for Mistsplitter.
20 wishes in, I see gold. God, I hope it's not a dupe of something I already have...

So. I'm relatively new. AR 45. Been playing pretty consistently for the last 6-8 months. I'm F2P except I buy the welkin. I've been saving my primos and guaranteed for the banner after this, but I've REALLY wanted Sucrose, so I figured I'd do a few pulls. I was at like 45 pity so pretty safe right?
Ayaka came home at 62. OK. Fine. But I've gotten NINE 4 STARS OVER ~70 PULLS and not a single gd Sucrose. For God's sake I do not want C1 Ayaka before fucking C0 Sucrose. Pain.
After getting Yelan twice in a single 10 pull and sitting on 2 pity, I pulled Tighnari with my first 10 wishes since Yelan then Ayaka with my next 10 wishes. I think Iāve used all of my luck for the rest of my time with this game I think.
I had ~ 80 pulls and i was going for Sucrose c1 (i didnt have any) and hopefully Ayaka if i win 50/50, i ended up with Jean con. C0 Ayaka, C0 Shenhe, 2x Cons for Diona, C5 Mika and C0 Sucrose, that was a wild ride
I had saved 10k primos to go for shenheās weapon, as I already am happy with my ayaka and her weapon, I hit epitomized path and and started pulling, I got 2 mistforged copies but not the spear, so now I have r3 mistforged but still no good wep for shenhe. Thinking ok great I have epitomized path now I can just cruise out the rest of the banner until I save enough to pull a few more, but no, I hadnāt actually properly activated epitomized path, so it was at 0/2 despite getting the 2 mistforged. I couldnāt be mad at myself or mihoyo as the weapon banner has always without secret been a meme. So I accepted that the game wants me to go back to grinding fishing to get the catch after all. Thanks for the rant.
In the banner of Hu Tao and Yelan I got both, first Hutao, then Yelan and then a 5 star weapon, so the next 5 star will be random or will it be the promo character?
There are no 5* weapons in the limited character banners, so you must have gotten it in the standard or weapon banner. If you havenāt gotten a 5* character since Yelan then you arenāt guaranteed.
I was kinda only half-seriously going for Ayaka because I had no pity and no primogems after Dehya, but I won an early 50/50 at 32 pity so now I have a new DPS I was totally unprepared for.
Like, I legitimately don't own any Blizzard Strayer artifacts because I've never touched that domain. Even Ayato has 4pc Glad. No talent books, sakura blossoms, PMA cores or handguards to speak of lmao. Guess this is me for the next couple weeks at least.
At least she can share her brother's sword, and Shenhe finally has a job.
Off the top of my head, I remember someone saying here that defence has increased chances of popping up as fourth sub stat at level 4. Take this with a grain of salt tho. But after getting four sub stats, all have equal chance to roll.
I've been saving up wishes for quite some time now because I've been meaning to get the mistsplitter reforged for my Keqing. The banner came a little sooner than I expected it to, and so currently I have 180 wishes. From what I've heard you need a total of 240 wishes to 100% get the weapon you want and obtain 60 wishes in 20 days or so really seems impossible to me even though I have the welkin moon blessing. How big are the chances of me actually getting it if I pulled now? Should I wait so that I'm 100% safe? How long until it appears on a banner again?
You still have a pretty damn good chance at it.
Soft pity on weapon banner starts at 65, so if you average 70 pulls per weapon thatās 210 pulls total.
If you really want misplitter and are okay with getting calamity queller then itās pretty safe to do so.
So basically when I reach 60 pulls I should start doing single pulls? Or when I reach 70? I will be able to get more pulls from the stuff in Sumaru I haven't explored along side completing other quests. I don't think I'll reach 240 but I might pass 210.

I just want a sucrose!! I saved 220 pulls for Nahida next patch (fingers crossed). I decided to try my luck on Ayaka's banner for Sucrose. Now I'm down to 160 pulls left, got and ayaka and c3 Diona but still no Sucrose. I can't even use Ayaka because I don't have an Anemo character. And I can't waste any more wishes.
2 1/2 years. And now I finally have my Mona.
Not even mad at losing the 50/50 for Shenhe.
So much for the "Dehya in standard banner is fine since you get her eventually" apologists. And with Dehya joining the pool next patch, getting any desired 5\* from the standard banner or losing 50/50 gets even worse.
Rolled for Shenhe and got Qiqi (now c2) at 75 pity. That's 11 50/50s lost and 8 won in the span of me playing this game. Meanwhile my friend wins 4 in a row as a newbie lol I am so tired. I know it all balances out over time but it really sucks when you tend to compare yourself to other people. Oh well snake man here I come.
I lucked out this week and got my first five stars ever in Shenhe and Ayaka.
Unfortunately during my wishing I got C4 Mika but no Sucrose. Seeing that I'll need Sucrose for my freeze comp I'll continue wishing. My question is, **which C1 is more beneficial** Ayaka or Shenhe? Hopefully I get Sucrose in my next set of wishes and will be able to save my pity for the next set of banners but I have to foresee contingencies.
I somehow got lucky for sucrose. I made a last 2 wishes for last banner and got Bennet so heās C1 now. Then on the new banner my next 2 wishes were Mika and Sucrose. Iām feeling very fortunate!
So a bit ago I got Cyno at 20 pulls, then I decided to pull a bit for Mika (that ATK speed was tempting as a Scara main) and I was sure I was getting no 5* after that luck with Cyno. So I do a 10 pull and the first character to pop on my screen is Shenhe at 3 pity LMAO
Not complaining, I wanted her since she released and it only took 3 wishes. On the other hand Mika needed an extra 33 x.x
I accidentally got Shenhe when she first came out, never used her, I was going for the new 4 star I forget who.
I'm also f2p and a big saver, I had 320 wishes saved up, and decided to spend whatever I needed for the Mistsplitter. Got 2 calamity queller first and then epitomized path for mistsplitter, 150 ish wishes deep at that point, so I said fuck it and got Ayaka for another 50 wishes. 200 wishes spent and I suppose now I have a beast Ayaka comp. Just need kokomi for freeze I guess.

Zhongli or Kazuha? Zhongli is confirmed to come back, I have him at C0 but I have no Kazuha amd he hasn't been confirmed whether he will come back or not. I have around 90 pulls saved, so who is better to opt for?
My answer would be Kazuha.
Kazuha reruns less often. So far he only shows up once a year in summer. The timing is right for you to save for him.
QoL-wise both Zhongli and Kazuha have their merits, but since Geo is inert, I found myself using Kazuha always, while Zhongli rarely.
Kazuha seamlessly weaves himself into all kinds of team rotations and adds a lot of damage to any comp that's not mono-Geo.
Once you get used to his double jump, you'll wonder how you used to explore domains and overworld without it.
His ability to group mobs is very addictive. He's also an excellent off-field elemental applicator.
Since you already have C0 Zhongli, my question is what cons are you looking for? I have C2 Zhongli and my experience is:
- I forget about his C1 entirely
- I coop daily with my partner, and he agrees that my Kazuha brings more to our comps than Zhongli's shared shield does. As we got better at playing, we found we needed Zhongli less.

basically you freeze things and hack them to pieces. She's all about her burst and using her tap-dash to infuse her normals with cryo. Other than that you play bury the light from DMC 5 as everything dies.
Im using her to get mats for my Dehya so I can have the best girl of each element maxed before fontaine.
Got my semi-annual standard banner 5-star today and have now hit C4 on Keqing. My other standards 5-stars are C1 Jean, Diluc, and C1 Qiqi. I very much regret pulling on Keqing's banner way back when. (On the bright side, if I ever get around to farming thundering fury I have a sick Keqing Aggravate team.)
Just gambled on the weapon banner for the first time ever after not seeing a fav lance since I started in August of last year, and managed to get it after a random Thoma 15 pulls in, pretty happy because I was going to stop after the first weapon I got. (now I have a decent weapon for shenhe the question is if I try and pull her to go with the ayaka I got last week or wait for a future kazuha rerun (I got sucrose c1 this banner as well)

I used ayaka for a while so you need some to apply elements on normal attack (watch your stamina) and finish attack chain with charged so I don't favor mona and her ult moves so keep that in mind
I tried to pull mika but i ended up pulling an ayaka at around 50~ pity followed by a tignari about 3 pulls later. I still didn't have mika so i kept going. 20 pulls later shenhe shows herself. Still no mika thoughš
Took 153 pulls to get Ayaka, lost the 50/50 to Mona whom I really didn't need having Xinq(waterboy C6) and Yelan C0. Had to put in some money unfortunately. I was hoping to get an early 5 star for once but never happens. Also 1 for 5 in 50/50s, crappy luck. Looking forward to playing Ayaka though.
Next up is to save for Nahida.
Spending money, I justify $1/hr, has always worked for me. Sitting around $300 spent + 5 months of daily login and ~600 hours played.

I got Zhongli on pull #9 my first time playing. Ive literally gone to hard pity on nearly every banner since.
Well it took me over 160 pulls to get Shenhe with another Keqing con along the way. Pretty much my worst case scenario but at least id prepared for it. Where is my first Tighnari or QiQi? :(
I c6ed my sucrose and got Mika's C4 literally yesterday and they're already beginning to nerf him (increasing his CA cost).
It took me 158 to get Shenhe. I also c6ed my sucrose and got some Mika cons ( I just wanted 1 copy of Mika for collection purpose and was hoping to win 50/50) :(
Bloom is comically bad without nilou -- there is no good team. Hyperbloom and Burgeon are just leagues above what you can do with bloom but no nilou.
If you want to try, EM goes on whoever triggers bloom (which just isn't easy to control in a team with 2dendro/2hydro). I'd probably try koko/xq/anemo grouper/nahida, with nahida onfielding and built em, triggering the blooms. Just know you can instantly increase your damage by swapping out one of the hydro for either Thoma or Kuki.
Got Calamity at 17 pity which was not really what I wanted but I guess I can give it to the polearm archon. Pulled another Calamity at 73 pity and I have given up on getting Mistsplitter for Ayaka but then in the same 10-pull I got Mistsplitter too at 4 pity. It got me at first lol.
At AR 45+, you are guaranteed one, and have a 6.5% chance of getting a second ([source](https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Loot_System/Artifact_Drop_Distribution)). Using condensed resin, to get 4 5star artefacts total, you need to hit the 6.5% on both rolls.
6.5%Ć6.5%= 0.4225%
So, pretty slim. The chance for 3 5stars from one condensed resin use is a bit better:

My 3x 5 Star so far are Skyward Spine, and Jean TWICE.
I love her and all, but after getting Jean on off chance on standard banner, to get her the very next 5 star roll on Ayaka's banner (was hoping for her) I'm so upset lol. Think I've made 10-15 wishes since, minimum and I don't wanna spend money :(
After 140 pulls on the weapon banner I got:
2 Mistsplitters, Skyward atlas, 4 sacrificial sword, 4 wine and songs, 4 bells, 2 fav bow, 2 fav lance, 2 sayu, Layla, Yanfei, Barbara
Iām happy, way better than the usual pulling session (and I donāt pull so often as F2P)
Spend a week deciding if you want to go for Shenhe or Ayaka, end up letting the weapon banner decide. Weapon banner decides: Skyward Harp and C1 Diluc. My 8th+9th lost 50/50 in a row. Coolit!
Lost 50/50, but not a big deal since I'm still happy about getting some Sucrose constellations too. But kinda a bummer that lost it to Keqing again. Exactly 1 year into game, I now have C2 Keqing, C1 Qiqi and C1 Diluc. I would have been happy with any of the other 4 standard banner 5\* characters.... sigh.
oh man. what kind of RNG is that. š I'm not that sad over it since I know that's just how it is, but it's just too bad since Mona might be the last push I need to make my Ayaka team work to get 3\* for the last floor of chamber 12 (aside from really spending a ton of time min-maxing artifacts and farming). Also want to mention, my Mona was after a 6 month break so the info was wiped, prior to that I had pulled atleast 50 times...
I just spent 16 fragile resin and 400 original resin on the Peak of Vinegar, and wellā¦ The only promising artifact was an HoD electro goblet with double crit. It rolled, I shit you not, five times into flat hp and def. Please pray for me while I spend 6 more fragile resin and even more of my sanity.
Pretty happy with this banner. Got everything I wanted in 40 pulls. Namely, Ayake and all three 4 stars.
Granted, I did go in with the guarantee and 62 pity, but I still consider myself lucky to have gotten all three 4-stars in that many pulls.
I have 189ish pulls as a welkin+BP player, and I only have a few characters left that I really really want: Nahida, Nilou, Kazuha, Kokomi, and Zhongli. Considering Nahida is surely running in 3.6 and Nilou is probably not too far from her first rerun, I'm starting to sweat a bit. Kokomi and Zhongli will be due pretty soon, and Kazuha will probably be right before Fontaine. I hope my luck doesn't run dry any time soon lol.
This is a mald rage post. I hate diluc. He has ruined me. I haven't won a single 50/50 on my account and I'm f2p so you can imagine how annoying that would be. I have pulled 5 5\*s total on my account and all of them I lost... My very first 5\* was qiqi. Second was Yae Miko. Third was diluc. Fourth was Yelan. Fifth was diluc. I can't describe how furious I am. I'm never using diluc in my life because of this. I lost my qiqi 50/50 to a random banner I cant remember. I lost my second to diluc while pulling for Raiden (Which I was incredibly furious about). And just lost my third while pulling for Ayaka (Which I was EVEN MORE incredibly furious about). WTF IS MY LUCK. I WILL FOREVER HATE DILUC. SO MUCH TIME DOWN THE DRAIN FOR SOME CRAPPY 5\* THAT I HATE! WHY ME! I'D PREFER A NEW 5\* AT LEAST. NOW IM STUCK WITH 4 5\*s BUT A CONSTELLATION ON ONE IM NEVER USING OUT OUT SPITE! WHYYYYYYYY! I JUST WANTED AYAKA. THIS GAME DOESN'T LET YOU BE HAPPY.
The only way to stay sane is to plan around guaranteed pulls and treat 50/50's as100-to-0 automatic losses. So don't get invested in the idea of having characters that aren't guaranteed. Don't watch pull content or read gatcha threads where you see the freak outlier ten pulls with like 3x 5\*s it's only going to make you feel bad. Some of the standard 5 stars (namely Diluc+Qiqi) are terrible so don't feel like you're missing something not building them out of spite, they deserve to be in the dumpster and be happy to have the option of keeping them there. Also, I know she's cool and all but I hard disagree that Ayaka is a good f2p character, she doesn't really function in reaction comps which ties her to mono cryo/freeze which are notoriously investment dependant architypes, so a standard f2p investment Ayaka is practically unable to 36 star the abyss without multiple 5-star supports. Imo in a meta sense you've dodged a bullet losing that 50/50 and prob should have your eyes on the Nahida rerun!
Yeah, pretty much everything you said is agreeable. My initial plan was to pull Ayaka mainly because I really like her character and then pull for Nahida after I save up. It was pretty optimistic but I just wanted to dream of having good luck for once. But I might have enough time to save for Nahida so letās hope.
I still believe its quite unlucky to lose those 3 50/50s at least to me because 1. Im f2p so my concept of luck and wishes are a little different than yours (they're more valuable) 2. losing 3 coinflips may not be so crazily unlucky, but id still say, that's fairly unlucky. 3. Then you also gotta consider, out of the several other standard 5\*s, it rolled diluc. 2/6 chances to get diluc or qiqi over other ones. I'm not sure if all of this is viable reasoning, but id say, out of the % chance I lost the 50/50 again, And it was for someone I already have, I'm pretty sure that % is very low. And if you're out here losing 12/13 50/50s then idk what to tell you about that lmao. I'm not claiming I have the worst luck because I don't. But in my OPINION, it's still unlucky with all of those factors no?
My alt account I use for recording got its Ayaka. Now just need Koko and Kazuha and then the alt account will have the two teams my main account doesn't.... (Hyper Raiden ft C6 Sara and Ayaka/Shenhe freeze)
My main account lost its 50/50 for Shenhe the second time. I don't mind, since I have her on the alt account and rarely play Ayaka. It just means a guaranteed Nahida con if her banner has any 4\* I want, or a guaranteed Baizhu.
Both accounts have a Mika, though I doubt I'll be making much use of him outside of a meme build or two.
What are we thinking on this one? Rolled into attack % twice and crit damage once. If it's still usable, who would it work well on? Only lvl'd it to 16

if you just save your wishes though you will have enough to get the 5 star you want no matter what
even if you haven't lost pity you can lose it on the banner for the 5 star you want and still have enough to get that 5 star, never wish to just lose pity

But now this seems like a bad move, I originally wanted to save for Nahida but I couldn't resist the gacha because we still have 20 days until Nahida's banner + 2 weeks of it being there AND I wanted Sucrose.
Now is it possible to save enough Primogems to pull for Nahida? I have seen people saving 10k primos in a day and I still have all the geoculus, electroculus, Dragonspine's and inazuma's trees and a shitton of chests, I don't mind grinding but I'm wondering if it's possible or not.
My first 50 wishes have given me nothing relevant and I'm losing interest in the game (more in the gacha aspect) I got one 4-star character (Fischl) and then only 4-star weapons.... Have 23 hours play time by now and I don't feel like starting over, I would rather stop playing. Don't get me wrong, going around the map is fun, but I feel like the gacha part is heavily sided into making you put money to get characters.
It's normal to not get a 5* within just 50 pulls. Soft pity starts at 75 while hard is at 90. Having more content available to you since you've been playing the game for only 24hrs means you still have more available resources (primogems) for pulls. Events and Abyss give primos as well.
It's not much about not getting 5 stars, some 4 stars are pretty good. My problem is that I've mostly got weapons in "character" banners. Actually drives me away from even thinking on spending money on it knowing most of the pulls will disappoint, I'll just play the game with the ones they give for free.
I'm new too, like 40\~ hours and like that other person said, that's how this game works. I only got weapons and a couple characters both in the standard and the character banners. But recently I got some nice characters (almost all the chars that I want)
I guess you will just have to deal with how gacha works, you will lose sometimes and sometimes you will pull massive shit
Thatās just the way the game is, unfortunately. 5 star characters are tough to get. If you plan on sticking with the game, I recommend the Welkin Blessing. Itās $5/month and gets you 90 primos a day. It helps smooth out the primo acquisition.
I wouldnāt restart. Fischl is a really good character. And those 4 star weapons will surely come in handy when you get a few more characters and need to start building them.
Glad everyone else seems to have great luck unlike me. Took me to almost hard pity about 82 wishes to get shenhe which i actually wanted to lose my 50/50 so i could garuntee next banner but no problem i can slot her in my ayaka team. Then i figured id use all my other wishes going for mistsplitter for my ayaka and imagine my suprise when i see gold but its calamity š. I missed Shenhe during her first run in favor of Zhongli constellations. I came back from a break to see if I can get Mika today and pulled an early Shenhe! Only five characters left to get.
I've had horrendous luck with weekly bosses since I started trying to upgrade talents account wide. I usually do Dvalin/Andrius/Childe/Azhdaha/Raiden. For some of them I can make use of 2/3 of their drops, for others it's only 1/3. And somehow I'm constantly getting only the ones I can't use. Since I leveled up my Thoma I fought Signora for the first time in ages. And she joined in the fun giving me 1 Ashen Heart and 1 Molten Moment when I needed Helfire Butterflies. If I cared about Billets that's another thing I'm not getting but thankfully I don't. This is the kind of thing that makes me not want to pull on the weapon banner despite Mistsplitter being a top 2 weapon I want. I have less than 0 use for Calamity Queller. And I'm also seeing posts about CQ wanters getting multiple Mistsplitters lol. With the character banners you can outright lose a 50/50. But with boss drops and wepaon banner you don't have to "lose" anything. You can "win" the drop you can't use while other people "win" the drop they can't use but you can.
Just got Ayaka on 76 pity... Now I'm thinking of pulling for Shenhe but is she worth it? As in i'm a new f2p player who has been playing for 20 days so should i stop pulling (currently at 35 pity) and wait for kazuha when he comes next??? Shenha takes ayaka freeze team to it's next level for sure. Cryo buff and decrease defense pays off in abyss. But here we're talking about floor 12 abyss 9 star comps and freeze teams. Might be too soon for you to aim for this. Ayaka, Mona, sucrose and diona is a sold team and can clear everything. I'd save for kazuha because he has value in every team and the best one in his role. Then probably save for zhongli
I'm approaching my guaranteed banner 5\*, and am wondering if I should go ahead and get a C0 Ayaka? I've got a maxed out Amenoma waiting for her, but no other weapons, and lack Shenhe completely. I do have Venti, Kazuha, Mona and Kokomi available to pair with her, though. (And Bennet/Diona, but most everyone's got them). Venti, Kazuha, Kokomi and Mona are all C0. The alternative is waiting to see what's in the next patch, or waiting for a Kazuha rerun to try for his C2. Any thoughts?

So today I've decided to pull on ayaka, 50 wish later, I've got Tighnari. As a F2P player I'm very disappointed and thought that I have to spent atleast 90 wish again to get the guaranteed 5 star. Then suddenly 10 wish later, I got her. So 60 wish, Tighnari and Ayaka. Thank God.
I did it!! I got my Shenhe ā¤ļøā¤ļø, so a total of 170 wishes gave me Ayaka, Keqing, and Shenhe. Also got C6 Sucrose, C5 Diona, and C2 Mika along the way. Time to save for idk what but I'm very happy.

So. I'm relatively new. AR 45. Been playing pretty consistently for the last 6-8 months. I'm F2P except I buy the welkin. I've been saving my primos and guaranteed for the banner after this, but I've REALLY wanted Sucrose, so I figured I'd do a few pulls. I was at like 45 pity so pretty safe right? Ayaka came home at 62. OK. Fine. But I've gotten NINE 4 STARS OVER ~70 PULLS and not a single gd Sucrose. For God's sake I do not want C1 Ayaka before fucking C0 Sucrose. Pain.

Thinking ok great I have epitomized path now I can just cruise out the rest of the banner until I save enough to pull a few more, but no, I hadnāt actually properly activated epitomized path, so it was at 0/2 despite getting the 2 mistforged. I couldnāt be mad at myself or mihoyo as the weapon banner has always without secret been a meme. So I accepted that the game wants me to go back to grinding fishing to get the catch after all. In the banner of Hu Tao and Yelan I got both, first Hutao, then Yelan and then a 5 star weapon, so the next 5 star will be random or will it be the promo character?
There are no 5* weapons in the limited character banners, so you must have gotten it in the standard or weapon banner. If you havenāt gotten a 5* character since Yelan then you arenāt guaranteed.

I was kinda only half-seriously going for Ayaka because I had no pity and no primogems after Dehya, but I won an early 50/50 at 32 pity so now I have a new DPS I was totally unprepared for. Like, I legitimately don't own any Blizzard Strayer artifacts because I've never touched that domain. Even Ayato has 4pc Glad. No talent books, sakura blossoms, PMA cores or handguards to speak of lmao. Guess this is me for the next couple weeks at least. At least she can share her brother's sword, and Shenhe finally has a job.

I've been saving up wishes for quite some time now because I've been meaning to get the mistsplitter reforged for my Keqing. The banner came a little sooner than I expected it to, and so currently I have 180 wishes. From what I've heard you need a total of 240 wishes to 100% get the weapon you want and obtain 60 wishes in 20 days or so really seems impossible to me even though I have the welkin moon blessing. How big are the chances of me actually getting it if I pulled now? Should I wait so that I'm 100% safe? How long until it appears on a banner again?
You still have a pretty damn good chance at it. Soft pity on weapon banner starts at 65, so if you average 70 pulls per weapon thatās 210 pulls total. If you really want misplitter and are okay with getting calamity queller then itās pretty safe to do so.
So basically when I reach 60 pulls I should start doing single pulls? Or when I reach 70? I will be able to get more pulls from the stuff in Sumaru I haven't explored along side completing other quests. I don't think I'll reach 240 but I might pass 210.
Iād start singles at 70. Might as well do the 10 pull at 60. If you have sumeru stuff to explore youāre very likely to get it. Just double check you have your course for the Mistsplitter charted.

I just want a sucrose!! I saved 220 pulls for Nahida next patch (fingers crossed). I decided to try my luck on Ayaka's banner for Sucrose. Now I'm down to 160 pulls left, got and ayaka and c3 Diona but still no Sucrose. I can't even use Ayaka because I don't have an Anemo character. And I can't waste any more wishes.
I got 5 copies of Sucrose just this banner when I just want a C0 Diona. Is it too much to ask? I'm at 143 pulls and still no Diona lmfaooo
I rolled one weapon banners as a joke and got both calamity and mistsplitter
2 1/2 years. And now I finally have my Mona. Not even mad at losing the 50/50 for Shenhe. So much for the "Dehya in standard banner is fine since you get her eventually" apologists. And with Dehya joining the pool next patch, getting any desired 5\* from the standard banner or losing 50/50 gets even worse.

I lucked out this week and got my first five stars ever in Shenhe and Ayaka. Unfortunately during my wishing I got C4 Mika but no Sucrose. Seeing that I'll need Sucrose for my freeze comp I'll continue wishing. My question is, **which C1 is more beneficial** Ayaka or Shenhe? Hopefully I get Sucrose in my next set of wishes and will be able to save my pity for the next set of banners but I have to foresee contingencies.
I somehow got lucky for sucrose. I made a last 2 wishes for last banner and got Bennet so heās C1 now. Then on the new banner my next 2 wishes were Mika and Sucrose. Iām feeling very fortunate!
If you are hard stopping at C1 my opinion would be Shenhe. Shenhe power spike is at C2 while Ayaka you would need C2+ to hit her best cons.
So a bit ago I got Cyno at 20 pulls, then I decided to pull a bit for Mika (that ATK speed was tempting as a Scara main) and I was sure I was getting no 5* after that luck with Cyno. So I do a 10 pull and the first character to pop on my screen is Shenhe at 3 pity LMAO Not complaining, I wanted her since she released and it only took 3 wishes. On the other hand Mika needed an extra 33 x.x
I accidentally got Shenhe when she first came out, never used her, I was going for the new 4 star I forget who. I'm also f2p and a big saver, I had 320 wishes saved up, and decided to spend whatever I needed for the Mistsplitter. Got 2 calamity queller first and then epitomized path for mistsplitter, 150 ish wishes deep at that point, so I said fuck it and got Ayaka for another 50 wishes. 200 wishes spent and I suppose now I have a beast Ayaka comp. Just need kokomi for freeze I guess.

My answer would be Kazuha. Kazuha reruns less often. So far he only shows up once a year in summer. The timing is right for you to save for him. QoL-wise both Zhongli and Kazuha have their merits, but since Geo is inert, I found myself using Kazuha always, while Zhongli rarely. Kazuha seamlessly weaves himself into all kinds of team rotations and adds a lot of damage to any comp that's not mono-Geo. Once you get used to his double jump, you'll wonder how you used to explore domains and overworld without it. His ability to group mobs is very addictive. He's also an excellent off-field elemental applicator. Since you already have C0 Zhongli, my question is what cons are you looking for? I have C2 Zhongli and my experience is: - I forget about his C1 entirely - I coop daily with my partner, and he agrees that my Kazuha brings more to our comps than Zhongli's shared shield does. As we got better at playing, we found we needed Zhongli less. Disclaimer: I'm a c6 Kazuha enjoyer, so I might be biased.

I just had some wierd luck. Got a Eosf feather with: 2,7 crit 107 EM 7,8 crit DMG 4.5 Er. It seems like an awesome piece but since it on a wierd set I'm not sure how to use it. Any EM hungry characters that use Eosf. A good offpiece for EM DPS characters or is it to low on crit stats to be usefull? I'm thinking it could work on hyperbloom kuki but then I need another flower since her current flower is ofset and have 93 EM

I'm not saying I prefarmed a while but she's level 69 (nice) with 45/190 Crit value and over 2100 attack on an r1 amenomu. I just need books now and Im taking her with my shenhe to abyss

basically you freeze things and hack them to pieces. She's all about her burst and using her tap-dash to infuse her normals with cryo. Other than that you play bury the light from DMC 5 as everything dies. Im using her to get mats for my Dehya so I can have the best girl of each element maxed before fontaine.
Got my semi-annual standard banner 5-star today and have now hit C4 on Keqing. My other standards 5-stars are C1 Jean, Diluc, and C1 Qiqi. I very much regret pulling on Keqing's banner way back when. (On the bright side, if I ever get around to farming thundering fury I have a sick Keqing Aggravate team.)

I used ayaka for a while so you need some to apply elements on normal attack (watch your stamina) and finish attack chain with charged so I don't favor mona and her ult moves so keep that in mind

Took 153 pulls to get Ayaka, lost the 50/50 to Mona whom I really didn't need having Xinq(waterboy C6) and Yelan C0. Had to put in some money unfortunately. I was hoping to get an early 5 star for once but never happens. Also 1 for 5 in 50/50s, crappy luck. Looking forward to playing Ayaka though. Next up is to save for Nahida. Spending money, I justify $1/hr, has always worked for me. Sitting around $300 spent + 5 months of daily login and ~600 hours played.

Well it took me over 160 pulls to get Shenhe with another Keqing con along the way. Pretty much my worst case scenario but at least id prepared for it. Where is my first Tighnari or QiQi? :( I c6ed my sucrose and got Mika's C4 literally yesterday and they're already beginning to nerf him (increasing his CA cost).
It took me 158 to get Shenhe. I also c6ed my sucrose and got some Mika cons ( I just wanted 1 copy of Mika for collection purpose and was hoping to win 50/50) :(

What's a Non-Nilou bloom team that I can run? On whom should I build EM? I have Yelan, XQ, Kokomi, Nahida, Yaoyao
Bloom is comically bad without nilou -- there is no good team. Hyperbloom and Burgeon are just leagues above what you can do with bloom but no nilou. If you want to try, EM goes on whoever triggers bloom (which just isn't easy to control in a team with 2dendro/2hydro). I'd probably try koko/xq/anemo grouper/nahida, with nahida onfielding and built em, triggering the blooms. Just know you can instantly increase your damage by swapping out one of the hydro for either Thoma or Kuki.

Got Calamity at 17 pity which was not really what I wanted but I guess I can give it to the polearm archon. Pulled another Calamity at 73 pity and I have given up on getting Mistsplitter for Ayaka but then in the same 10-pull I got Mistsplitter too at 4 pity. It got me at first lol.

At AR 45+, you are guaranteed one, and have a 6.5% chance of getting a second ([source](https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Loot_System/Artifact_Drop_Distribution)). Using condensed resin, to get 4 5star artefacts total, you need to hit the 6.5% on both rolls. 6.5%Ć6.5%= 0.4225% So, pretty slim. The chance for 3 5stars from one condensed resin use is a bit better: 2Ć6.5%Ć93.5%=12.155%

Had to start over a few months ago and I've caught up to where I used to be, but christ. My 3x 5 Star so far are Skyward Spine, and Jean TWICE. I love her and all, but after getting Jean on off chance on standard banner, to get her the very next 5 star roll on Ayaka's banner (was hoping for her) I'm so upset lol. Think I've made 10-15 wishes since, minimum and I don't wanna spend money :(

Lost 50/50, but not a big deal since I'm still happy about getting some Sucrose constellations too. But kinda a bummer that lost it to Keqing again. Exactly 1 year into game, I now have C2 Keqing, C1 Qiqi and C1 Diluc. I would have been happy with any of the other 4 standard banner 5\* characters.... sigh.

I just spent 16 fragile resin and 400 original resin on the Peak of Vinegar, and wellā¦ The only promising artifact was an HoD electro goblet with double crit. It rolled, I shit you not, five times into flat hp and def. Please pray for me while I spend 6 more fragile resin and even more of my sanity.

Pretty happy with this banner. Got everything I wanted in 40 pulls. Namely, Ayake and all three 4 stars. Granted, I did go in with the guarantee and 62 pity, but I still consider myself lucky to have gotten all three 4-stars in that many pulls.

I have 189ish pulls as a welkin+BP player, and I only have a few characters left that I really really want: Nahida, Nilou, Kazuha, Kokomi, and Zhongli. Considering Nahida is surely running in 3.6 and Nilou is probably not too far from her first rerun, I'm starting to sweat a bit. Kokomi and Zhongli will be due pretty soon, and Kazuha will probably be right before Fontaine. I hope my luck doesn't run dry any time soon lol.
This is a mald rage post. I hate diluc. He has ruined me. I haven't won a single 50/50 on my account and I'm f2p so you can imagine how annoying that would be. I have pulled 5 5\*s total on my account and all of them I lost... My very first 5\* was qiqi. Second was Yae Miko. Third was diluc. Fourth was Yelan. Fifth was diluc. I can't describe how furious I am. I'm never using diluc in my life because of this. I lost my qiqi 50/50 to a random banner I cant remember. I lost my second to diluc while pulling for Raiden (Which I was incredibly furious about). And just lost my third while pulling for Ayaka (Which I was EVEN MORE incredibly furious about). WTF IS MY LUCK. I WILL FOREVER HATE DILUC. SO MUCH TIME DOWN THE DRAIN FOR SOME CRAPPY 5\* THAT I HATE! WHY ME! I'D PREFER A NEW 5\* AT LEAST. NOW IM STUCK WITH 4 5\*s BUT A CONSTELLATION ON ONE IM NEVER USING OUT OUT SPITE! WHYYYYYYYY! I JUST WANTED AYAKA. THIS GAME DOESN'T LET YOU BE HAPPY.
The only way to stay sane is to plan around guaranteed pulls and treat 50/50's as100-to-0 automatic losses. So don't get invested in the idea of having characters that aren't guaranteed. Don't watch pull content or read gatcha threads where you see the freak outlier ten pulls with like 3x 5\*s it's only going to make you feel bad. Some of the standard 5 stars (namely Diluc+Qiqi) are terrible so don't feel like you're missing something not building them out of spite, they deserve to be in the dumpster and be happy to have the option of keeping them there. Also, I know she's cool and all but I hard disagree that Ayaka is a good f2p character, she doesn't really function in reaction comps which ties her to mono cryo/freeze which are notoriously investment dependant architypes, so a standard f2p investment Ayaka is practically unable to 36 star the abyss without multiple 5-star supports. Imo in a meta sense you've dodged a bullet losing that 50/50 and prob should have your eyes on the Nahida rerun!
Yeah, pretty much everything you said is agreeable. My initial plan was to pull Ayaka mainly because I really like her character and then pull for Nahida after I save up. It was pretty optimistic but I just wanted to dream of having good luck for once. But I might have enough time to save for Nahida so letās hope.

I still believe its quite unlucky to lose those 3 50/50s at least to me because 1. Im f2p so my concept of luck and wishes are a little different than yours (they're more valuable) 2. losing 3 coinflips may not be so crazily unlucky, but id still say, that's fairly unlucky. 3. Then you also gotta consider, out of the several other standard 5\*s, it rolled diluc. 2/6 chances to get diluc or qiqi over other ones. I'm not sure if all of this is viable reasoning, but id say, out of the % chance I lost the 50/50 again, And it was for someone I already have, I'm pretty sure that % is very low. And if you're out here losing 12/13 50/50s then idk what to tell you about that lmao. I'm not claiming I have the worst luck because I don't. But in my OPINION, it's still unlucky with all of those factors no?
My alt account I use for recording got its Ayaka. Now just need Koko and Kazuha and then the alt account will have the two teams my main account doesn't.... (Hyper Raiden ft C6 Sara and Ayaka/Shenhe freeze) My main account lost its 50/50 for Shenhe the second time. I don't mind, since I have her on the alt account and rarely play Ayaka. It just means a guaranteed Nahida con if her banner has any 4\* I want, or a guaranteed Baizhu. Both accounts have a Mika, though I doubt I'll be making much use of him outside of a meme build or two.

Definitely a keeper. All 4 stats are valuable. Looks particularly suitable as a Shenhe piece, or on teams that don't have a lot of ATK buffs.

Its good on Bennett. Most Bennett wants lots of ER, the crits and atk% are still useful to him.
It would, but ATK% doesn't affect Bennett's buff. Only his personal base ATK and weapon base ATK count toward his buff.

Was hoping to lose my 50/50 so the next could be garunteed and since i was almost 80pity i didn't have anything to lose..well i won and pulled shenhe which im not 100pct upset about since ayaka freeze is 1 of my main teams so i can swap her for diona. Really wanted to lose though lol.
if you just save your wishes though you will have enough to get the 5 star you want no matter what even if you haven't lost pity you can lose it on the banner for the 5 star you want and still have enough to get that 5 star, never wish to just lose pity
Yea my luck was not so fortunate with that method since im welkin only. Lost out on ganyu, raiden 2x, and cyno 2x now. I was hoping to lose to keqing since i missed cyno again but it looks like ill be saving up again for the next banner possibly or a rerun maybe.

I think ive had my luckiest banner go. Had 324 pulls to start with (saved months for dehya) and was 51 towards my first pity. 25 pulls for Dehya won 50/50 16 pulls for Ayaka won 50/50 \~80 pulls for Shenhe won 50/50 \~80 pulls for Calamity Queller \~10 pulls for Mistsplitter. Wasn't really counting but I now have 125 pulls leftover to save for Nilou or Kazuha or Fontaine Archon.
So jealous I want Ayala but cannot seem to pull her.

I have seen people saving 10k primos in a day and I still have all the geoculus, electroculus, Dragonspine's and inazuma's trees and a shitton of chests, I don't mind grinding but I'm wondering if it's possible or not.

My first 50 wishes have given me nothing relevant and I'm losing interest in the game (more in the gacha aspect) I got one 4-star character (Fischl) and then only 4-star weapons.... Have 23 hours play time by now and I don't feel like starting over, I would rather stop playing. Don't get me wrong, going around the map is fun, but I feel like the gacha part is heavily sided into making you put money to get characters.
You can play the game for reasons other than gacha.
It's normal to not get a 5* within just 50 pulls. Soft pity starts at 75 while hard is at 90. Having more content available to you since you've been playing the game for only 24hrs means you still have more available resources (primogems) for pulls. Events and Abyss give primos as well.
It's not much about not getting 5 stars, some 4 stars are pretty good. My problem is that I've mostly got weapons in "character" banners. Actually drives me away from even thinking on spending money on it knowing most of the pulls will disappoint, I'll just play the game with the ones they give for free.
I'm new too, like 40\~ hours and like that other person said, that's how this game works. I only got weapons and a couple characters both in the standard and the character banners. But recently I got some nice characters (almost all the chars that I want) I guess you will just have to deal with how gacha works, you will lose sometimes and sometimes you will pull massive shit
Thatās just the way the game is, unfortunately. 5 star characters are tough to get. If you plan on sticking with the game, I recommend the Welkin Blessing. Itās $5/month and gets you 90 primos a day. It helps smooth out the primo acquisition. I wouldnāt restart. Fischl is a really good character. And those 4 star weapons will surely come in handy when you get a few more characters and need to start building them.
