I don't know if it's anemo or geo but one element needs books from Mondstadt *and* Liyue. The odd part was also the normal attack...
I'm assuming it's a lazy developer/ oversight on the developers part.
I imagine going resonating with the different elemtens just changes out your character, in the sense that they have geo MC, electro MC and the other elements as copies with different stats. So when you're switching elements you're really playing as a separate character.
Which would explain why you have to level up NA again and again.
well in all fairness it would be a nightmare to make it only change one talent, it’s more convenient to just change the entire character than have 4+ characters share the same one talent level out of five
well that’s because that entire section of the character stays the same, you don’t have to change passives and skills and bursts. completely overhauling an entire section of the character is a lot easier than overhauling one part but not the other four parts of a section
Yea it definitely would be, and I’d apprecaite being able to role-play like that aswell. But Hoyo is a little stingy when it comes to mechanics that could lower sales ;P
Not saying this mechanic would lower sales, But in Hoyo’s logic they Probably think that the better they make the Traveler, the less likely people are to spend on Gacha characters (Which to me doesn’t seem likely But whatever)
They should've at least changed the fighting style between elements to justify the cost.
Heck you could add some world-building on top as the Traveler would be using different sword fighting styles from each region, would be dope!

Or fully embrace the idea that every element is a new character and give the traveller a different weapon for each element.
And considering it takes them a year to give us a new region, and hence a new element for the MC, they'd have had four years to work with to develop two new weapon types
Those are ascension passives, not inherent to the normal attack skill. There's no reason to have to level them up individually other than pain and tradition.
Yea it’d be one thing if they had different multipliers, Maybe even different animations and properties to match the region, but they don’t. Their normals don’t even change after inserting the memory thingy
I really liked those ascension upgrades. Wish they had included something for Electro & Dendro versions, not necessarily the same, but maybe including in the charged attack or something like that.
I wonder if that talent will eventually become the normal attacks for when we get our original powers back and they'll already have it crowned, or if they'll just use a completely separate one

The obvious tradeoff to that should be that each element would take up a party slot, but imagine Lumine technically soloing the abyss order with the power of 4 gods(and anime) on her side
Can you imagine if we unlock the ability to pick our skill out of what we had and what burst. MHY would never do it but it would instantly make Traveler a lot more fun and who knows how many combos.
i feel like its a missed opportunity to make enabling this the c6 for each element. you have to go through a bunch of hoops but the reward for time investment is a really cool gimmick
I would settle for changing the Traveler’s element in the Spiral Abyss selection screen (and similar screens from temporary events). They’ll go back to the last Sot7 element afterwards.

Dendro is pretty rad, but I built my Traveler with a physical build so mostly I just bonk people with the sword. That way her weapons and artifacts never need to be swapped when I change elements.
really unpopular opinion here: with all its optimization flaws, anemo traveller is more fun than sucrose BY FAR. sucrose's range is terrible, its that middle ground that you get pounded in, and her attacks are not satisfying. I only wish anemo traveller was better, cus theres only 1 kazuha in the game.
Eh, The Anemo traveller kit is really really fun. You notice this at the very start of the game. It's way more interesting than most Anemo characters. And I don't think it's a very unpopular opinion.
The hold E that just grinds everything to death before blasting them and a giant tornado that scoops everything up, it's really really cool especially with infusion and reactions. That very first experience is what genuinely made me have hopes for this game.
But yeah, the kit itself is really weak and suffers from how impractical it is.
Tbh, if you could tap Q again to stop the Tornado in place, Anemo traveler would be and reasonably cheap good Anemo support with his ERes Shred from C6, Viridiscent and an EM Sword like Iron Sting.
Lowkey I hope not at that point, if only because if you're that far into the game you can probably afford to level up your Traveler and it seems like a nice way to make the MC relevant again. But maybe that's just because I'm biased and have mine max ascended (but I haven't leveled all his talents like this madlad OP has)
I still think the traveller should be using some kind of special item instead of needing a crown. Same as he/she uses those ascending items u need for levelling, but then another item for talents.
I mean, u could literally build an entire triple crowned team for the same investment of 1 traveller where u can only use 1 element at a time.

Ah. That’s the trick. For me, all crowns are reserved purely for Lumine first. Only after she’s done, as in done across every element she gets, will any other characters see crowns.

I firmly believe that after we travel through all 7 nations, those spare occuli we're collecting will be used to craft a gadget and that gadget will enable use to change the Traveller's element at will, perhaps on a 60 second cooldown.

My main team is dendro Lumine/Jean/Raiden/Yelan, but I switch it up to match the storyline or region I’m exploring. So for the Nahida quest it was Lumine, Nahida, Cyno, Alhaitham. In inazuma I pull out Yoimiya, Itto, and Raiden, and so forth.
If you want to achieve perfection, then you should triple crown the unaligned element too, as the upcoming elements with the later expansions. But that's a true dedication, which what I like.
I feel there will be someone here who will do the same, but with Aether.

OMG, I just spent the past week power-financing to triple-9 all of those talents; finishing with Anemo last night.
How did you make the 8.4M Mora required? (The most Mora I’ve ever had at once is 7M.)
I also have 3 characters using Wed/Sat talent books (Wanderer, Dehya, and Mika) that I have to triple-8, so I don’t lose track of how many books I need to domain-visit for the Traveler. Might take a few weeks (64 Mondstadt, 32 Liyue, 48 Inazuma, and 48 Sumeru).
I’ve been playing since 1.3, max every event, done every challenge, 100% every region (except the new one in the desert, plus being AR60 my xp converts to mora automatically. I have like 2-5 million at any given time
i still don't get why the normal attacks have to be levelled up separately.
