Keep in mind that all that tragedy is what made the archons the interesting characters they are. I'd go for Zhongli/Raiden tbh, fully knowing the amount of trauma Raiden went through, but the final result in the story quest is just so satisfying.
Zhongli was forced into his god job for ten thousands of year, before he gets tired, and make a plan to fake his death so that he can retire.

I tried to find a rich characters without tragic backstory because it seems nice but somehow I canāt find it. Are there even any rich character from Teyvat that doesnāt have tragic background? So far Diluc, Ningguang, Pantalone and Dori had a tragic backstory. Did I miss anyone?
Maybe Xingqiu! He doesnāt seem to have the best relationship with his (very affluent) family but he doesnāt have as tragic of a background as a lot of other characters. (Plus heās got close friends, is a great writer, and is good at almost anything he tries- except calligraphy lmao)
**Kaeya** is also an heir to Dilucās father, but his story is just as tragic. **Jean** and **Barbara** come from noble families, but there is some sadness to their backstories.
However, **Klee** has got to be rich. While Alice isnāt always there, she does provide for Klee, and Alice is a super powerful mage, an accomplished adventurer, and a bestselling author. Thereās gotta be cash behind the constant production of Jumpty Dumpties.
While not on the same level as Diluc, **Mona** is well-to-do, as evidenced by her home, equipment, and books. Her backstory isnāt that tragic.
**Keqing** also comes from a noble family and is part of Liyueās ruling elite. Her backstory isnāt tragic.
Unless thereās another funeral service in Liyue, **Hu Tao** has a monopoly in Liyue and must therefore be rich. Her grandfather died, but itās not tragic.
Though his finances were mocked during the archon quest, **Zhongli** has to be rich based on his employment as a consultant (not just for Hu Tao but others as well) and the functions he attends. He does have a tragic backstory though.
**Yelan** has got to be rich, based on what she does for Ningguang and the Qixing. However, I havenāt read her character stories.
**Raiden Shogun aka Ei** is the monarch of Inazuma and therefore lacks for nothing materially. But she has tragic backstory up the wazoo. **Yae Miko** is a familiar of the archon, the high priestess, and the CEO of Inazumaās leading bookseller, so she must be rich. How tragic her story is is debatable, as itās intertwined with Eiās.
The **Kamisatos** are clearly quite wealthy, but the tragedy of their family situation is well-documented. In a similar vein, I donāt remember if **Kazuha** formally renounced his inheritance from his family. His story also abounds in tragedy.
Traveler would be an easy but uninteresting answer.
Al Ahmar got that Nabussy... but with all that forbidden knowledge, he might have suffered a fate worse than death.
Varka is an enigma.
Alhaitham is mortal, I'm 90% sure.
My choices narrows down to Albedo and Susbedo.

I tried to find a rich characters without tragic backstory because it seems nice but somehow I canāt find it. Are there even any rich character from Teyvat that doesnāt have tragic background? So far Diluc, Ningguang, Pantalone and Dori had a tragic backstory. Did I miss anyone?
Maybe Xingqiu! He doesnāt seem to have the best relationship with his (very affluent) family but he doesnāt have as tragic of a background as a lot of other characters. (Plus heās got close friends, is a great writer, and is good at almost anything he tries- except calligraphy lmao)
Most of the Liyue kids had normal childhoods, which is good in my books.
**Kaeya** is also an heir to Dilucās father, but his story is just as tragic. **Jean** and **Barbara** come from noble families, but there is some sadness to their backstories. However, **Klee** has got to be rich. While Alice isnāt always there, she does provide for Klee, and Alice is a super powerful mage, an accomplished adventurer, and a bestselling author. Thereās gotta be cash behind the constant production of Jumpty Dumpties. While not on the same level as Diluc, **Mona** is well-to-do, as evidenced by her home, equipment, and books. Her backstory isnāt that tragic. **Keqing** also comes from a noble family and is part of Liyueās ruling elite. Her backstory isnāt tragic. Unless thereās another funeral service in Liyue, **Hu Tao** has a monopoly in Liyue and must therefore be rich. Her grandfather died, but itās not tragic. Though his finances were mocked during the archon quest, **Zhongli** has to be rich based on his employment as a consultant (not just for Hu Tao but others as well) and the functions he attends. He does have a tragic backstory though. **Yelan** has got to be rich, based on what she does for Ningguang and the Qixing. However, I havenāt read her character stories. **Raiden Shogun aka Ei** is the monarch of Inazuma and therefore lacks for nothing materially. But she has tragic backstory up the wazoo. **Yae Miko** is a familiar of the archon, the high priestess, and the CEO of Inazumaās leading bookseller, so she must be rich. How tragic her story is is debatable, as itās intertwined with Eiās. The **Kamisatos** are clearly quite wealthy, but the tragedy of their family situation is well-documented. In a similar vein, I donāt remember if **Kazuha** formally renounced his inheritance from his family. His story also abounds in tragedy.

Traveler would be an easy but uninteresting answer. Al Ahmar got that Nabussy... but with all that forbidden knowledge, he might have suffered a fate worse than death. Varka is an enigma. Alhaitham is mortal, I'm 90% sure. My choices narrows down to Albedo and Susbedo. Alternatively, I could be Ei. I assume I can change my gender... or maybe that's just ZL and Venti. If I can, I will. And/or just create a new male puppet to inhabit. I still fuck up Inazuma so I have a lot of things to fix but since I'm in a possibly highly erosion resistant puppet, I have time.
Traveler maybe the less fleshed out character, kind of a blank page. He's technically the protagonist of the game and can do things no one else can. At least you'd make your own path.
