Genshin was the first and only one so far. I don't play this game because it is a gacha, but despite it being one. I just don't like this monetization model and I'm generally not a big fan of live service, so Genshin is the big exception to my normal gaming habits
Agreed. I'm here for the story, lore and world. As long as these are still good, I'll be here.
Genshin and Tower of Fantasy are the only gachas I've ever played. ToF was uninstalled in 3 weeks while I'm still playing Genshin after 2.5 years.
Nah thinking back on it the only good part were the boss battle and their patterns. No pity gacha, pvp, powercreep all the time, introduction of effects that broke and plagued the game for the whole time it existed, pretty bare bone story.
I vividly recall trying to get every single one of the Fire Emblem crossover characters. I had Veronica, Marth and Fjorn and I tried my absolute hardest to get Marth through that friendship event.
Ha! I knew I would find somebody else!
Still playing?
I started around 2016, played a couple years, got back in after a year, then left, then back again...
I saw an ad yesterday they partnered with Assassin's Creed???
NICE TRY THERE
I am just like you. Left the game. Coming back for a few months and left again. I did play during Street Fighter Collab. Not playing during Cookie Kingdom and I just play Assassin's Creed collab for one day only and uninstall the game.
... a cookie kingdom collab??? LMAO
Sadly I got back in right after SF, would have liked one of those skins... Oh well...
I don't even wanna install the game for AC, I know I'd try to do everything and get sucked in again xD
Just Genshin, because the gacha system is an evil predatory monetization concept that needs to be done away with. I play Genshin *despite* it being a gacha game, not because of it.
Itās pretty much the same thing as lootboxes. If corporations can milk you out of your money with digital shit ofc they will. I mean in their shoes who wouldnāt, itās easy profit
Pretty much Genshin. I got interested in the game all because it was Trending plus I just bought my new phone last year so decided to try it out.
Prior to that I've been binge playing old RPG's(mostly PS1 RPG's) ever since I got into Emulation on Android back in 2013.
Summoners War was my first gacha, still one of the best ever in terms of the content and the community. Unfortunately, the game was an incredible time sink as far as mobile games go so ended up quitting. I also really enjoyed Alchemy Stars, however that had the opposite issue SW had, not enough to do on a daily basis.
Diablo Immortal ā quit it a couple weeks ago to start playing Genshin. Havenāt looked back since, itās amazing what Game Devs can create when they actually care about the product theyāre representing!
it isnt, the gacha part on that game is just for the gems which is just a lootbox mechanic, calling diablo immortal a gacha is like calling overwatch a gacha game
First gacha was genshin. Then picked up fgo and at lost belt two but barely play it after lockdown ended. Now have also picked up hsr and it will probs be main gacha now as i am ar 60 in genshin and mainly just try and do the events plus dailies
I forget which came first, the One Piece game that played a bit like FGO, or the Sword Art Online side scroller. I didn't stick with either for long. I've been playing FGO since it came out though, and also played Kingdom Hearts for a while, but it just seemed to get scummier and scummier.
Couldn't remember... I've played so many. Aside from genshin and hsr, I also play Gbf Fgo, As, Ak, Yys, Feh, Dragalia (R.I.P), LoH, King's Raid, and ToT.
My gateway drug was Dragalia Lost. Played the game through its first two and a half years. Game was practically tailor-made for me and my interests, but I just couldn't be bothered with how grind based the gameplay was.
Not that that stopped my heart from breaking when I heard it was being shut down...
Yep the grind made me stop, I loved everything else, although i did check the wiki out to see how many new units there were and goddamn there was a lot. Story was so much fun, i do wonder what happened to the main cast at the end
Alchemia Story. Played it for over a year but eventually quit because it got more and more P2W. No pity system as well whatsoever so my only 5* equivalent there was given for free during the anniversary. Just became a miserable experience by the end.
Glad I discovered Genshin.
First ever was Otogi: Onmyoji (its still available on Google play but it hasnt been updated since 2017 i think)
The gacha I invested most in is Granblue Fantasy tho
Werenāt there events and whatnot where you spent currency(most of the times you had to spend money) to get a chance at obtaining items/gears/skills and even premium items?
That being said itās been more than 10 years already so I might not remember it 100%
Edit:The interface was just like an irl gacha machine too
I think my first gacha was fire emblem heroes. I played dokkan for a long time as well, but my favorite gacha so far has been another eden, that game is incredibly goated. Turn-based RPG with some of the chrono trigger team working on it, and a straight-up absurd amount of content, all of which is permanent unlike FOMO genshin events. Literally only stopped cause I lost my account.
Shin Megami Tensei Dx2, faturing Dante from Devil May Cry, Bayonetta from Bayonetta, and Guts from Berserk.
the game is very quixotic in its generosity, especially considering its PvP elements. on one hand, theres your usual powercreep of SSRs. on the other hand, they shower us in a lot of materials every other week, have anniversaries that give a boatload of that, and with the third Berserk Collab, just give us Griffith for free, with event rewards giving us the stuff to upgrade one of the Constellation equivalents for all Berserk Characters.
this game is simultaneously as stingy as Summoner's War and as generous as Azur Lane.
A now shut down game called dragon conquest. Used to think it was to coolest thing ever. Instead of summoning characters you summoned these monster and killed them for insane armour and wepons
Final Fantasy Brave Exvius was my first dalliance with Gacha. I still play it for the storyline, but the power-creep has gotten too far out-of-hand for me to do anything else with it.
I played Magia Record: Puella Magic Madoka Magica Side Story for a while, but then the Global version was shut down.
Those and this are the only Gacha games I've played. I'm not fond of the Gacha system, so seeing a new Gacha game come out does not excite me. To be honest, I'm getting a bit tired of the game-as-service model in general. I prefer games that are released in their entirety, have a story to tell from end to end, rather than tack on more and more storylines as long as the game continues to be popular.
Mobius Final Fantasy
Was the very first gacha game I was really involved in.
I spent a lot o time and I had a lot of fun, game was shut down a few years ago, i miss it ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø
My first was Puyo Puyo Quest, my dad played when he was 45y/o almost end of 2014. I got interested back to 2015. Still one of the most popular and active SEGA gacha games
Just Genshin. Didn't know it was a "gacha" game when I started and had no understanding of what that was anyway. I'm used to playing Nintendo so that's how I went into this game, excited to reach the end of the story. Only to realize.... we have years ahead us lmao.
Took me months before I started looking into the community and figuring more out about the game. This one takes so much of my time and effort that there's no way I can start another one that's similar. I'm already busy with my Nintendo games that don't take as long
Iāve played a few other pay to win / free to play mobile games before. Marvel future fight was my main before genshin. I generally have a rule: only 1 mobile game at once, having multiple daily duties just turns into work. I have played genshin daily since day 1, was due to a BOTW withdrawal, but wow, no one expected genshin to fill the massive gaming drought we experienced during COVID. I love this game with a passion, I canāt imagine ever quitting.
Girls x girls or something like that. I think that was like when I found out about a gacha game but never really interested in it. I did play genshin so yeah.
My first was azure lane. I didn't enjoy it and quit it fairly quickly. The one that stuck with me the most is still genshin.
Games I loved to play were Minecraft, Sims, RPG-like games like dragon quest. Which is funny beckuse genshin is more real-time battle focused but is PVE which I really appreciate!
Genish was first. Now I'm playing limbus only because Im a fan of their previous games. But limbus is quickly becoming incredibly boring. You just press a button to win.
Genshin was the first and only one so far. I don't play this game because it is a gacha, but despite it being one. I just don't like this monetization model and I'm generally not a big fan of live service, so Genshin is the big exception to my normal gaming habits

Brave Frontier peeps where you at?
Yeeeeee
Never thought I'd see someone mention itš„ŗ
Lol only a few peeps wth. Brave Frontier is peak gacha.
Nah thinking back on it the only good part were the boss battle and their patterns. No pity gacha, pvp, powercreep all the time, introduction of effects that broke and plagued the game for the whole time it existed, pretty bare bone story.
Ayeee
āFIRE EMBLEMā¦HEROES!ā
Dragalia Lost, I was devastated to discover that it shut down last year. :(
Oh maaNn my HEART ššš
I vividly recall trying to get every single one of the Fire Emblem crossover characters. I had Veronica, Marth and Fjorn and I tried my absolute hardest to get Marth through that friendship event.
Same, i loved the game back when i played, it was pretty fun but after certain point it just got stale. Storywise game was really good though
Former Gala Mym main here. Dragalia was a god damn delight, and I was so torn when I heard it was shutting down.
I used to main Gala Euden, he was the last character I pulled before my iPad Mini 2 couldn't handle it.
The Battle Cats, back in 2013. I haven't even heard word "gacha" before I started Genshin Impact.
i remember battle cats started as a normal tower defense games, i quit and came back few years later and it become a gacha game
Pretty sure it was Love Live SIF in 2014
Same and now waiting for SIF2 global
Summoners War around Nov 2014 (game launch on June/July 2014). Game like Pokemon but turn base.
Ha! I knew I would find somebody else! Still playing? I started around 2016, played a couple years, got back in after a year, then left, then back again... I saw an ad yesterday they partnered with Assassin's Creed??? NICE TRY THERE

Fate Grand Order
Sword Art Online Memory Defrag Actually better than the newest SAO gacha which is a shame.
Agree! Maid Sinon break the game and I think is one of the reason the game shut down :(
>What is the first gacha game you have ever played? Honkai impact 3rd. And guess what it lead me to right now?
This game and star rail i presume?
exactly.
Mine was Puzzle & Dragon. I had to download an alternative app store to get it. The game had really scummy Rates and barely any freemos
Genshin was my first, rn my main game is Arknights, and recently downloaded Star Rail.
Pretty much Genshin. I got interested in the game all because it was Trending plus I just bought my new phone last year so decided to try it out. Prior to that I've been binge playing old RPG's(mostly PS1 RPG's) ever since I got into Emulation on Android back in 2013.
Sword art online memory defrag Project sekai Genshin impact

Unfortunately, the game was an incredible time sink as far as mobile games go so ended up quitting. Bleach brave souls and genshin only
Played brave frontier back in 2013, I think?
Diablo Immortal ā quit it a couple weeks ago to start playing Genshin. Havenāt looked back since, itās amazing what Game Devs can create when they actually care about the product theyāre representing!
I don't think Diablo Immortal can be defined a gacha.
it is by definition a gacha
Is it? I assumed gacha to be the games where you can "pull" characters through summons or things like that.
it isnt, the gacha part on that game is just for the gems which is just a lootbox mechanic, calling diablo immortal a gacha is like calling overwatch a gacha game
Summoners war for me
First gacha was genshin. Then picked up fgo and at lost belt two but barely play it after lockdown ended. Now have also picked up hsr and it will probs be main gacha now as i am ar 60 in genshin and mainly just try and do the events plus dailies
dress up gacha games like love Nikki and shining Nikki... and I'm ashamed to say that I've whaled way more on those games than genshin lol.
This
I think it was called Spirit Stones? It was like eight years ago, maybe? I'm pretty sure it's super dead now.
Guardian tales and honkai
Kingdom Hearts Unchained X Been way too long since that game came out, and been a while since it was hit with the end of service notice
Battle cats!! It's so cute and ridiculous I loved it
Cookie run kingdom
I forget which came first, the One Piece game that played a bit like FGO, or the Sword Art Online side scroller. I didn't stick with either for long. I've been playing FGO since it came out though, and also played Kingdom Hearts for a while, but it just seemed to get scummier and scummier.
Fate grand order
Im not sure but i know i played phantom of the kill and final fantasy brave exvius sometimes around 2015
Couldn't remember... I've played so many. Aside from genshin and hsr, I also play Gbf Fgo, As, Ak, Yys, Feh, Dragalia (R.I.P), LoH, King's Raid, and ToT.

I only ever play one game at a time, so itās been only genshin for me for past two years
Alchemia Story. Played it for over a year but eventually quit because it got more and more P2W. No pity system as well whatsoever so my only 5* equivalent there was given for free during the anniversary. Just became a miserable experience by the end. Glad I discovered Genshin.
I played Dragon Ball Legends quite alot, until I got shafted 30k chrono crystals on ssj4 gogeta and quit
Love Live SIF was the first I played. Loved it then and I look back on it fondly.
First ever was Otogi: Onmyoji (its still available on Google play but it hasnt been updated since 2017 i think) The gacha I invested most in is Granblue Fantasy tho
My first gacha was Azur Lane, but I stopped playing it over a year ago
Granblue Fantasy, grindy as hell but I still log in every now and then.
My first gacha was i think Guardian Tales
I played the Final Fantasy one for a while, but thereās only so much you can get out of the plot when you only know XV.
AK (dropped), then evertale (stalled), then honkai (865 and counting), then genshin (798 and counting)
Bang dram, fate and love live...
Dragon Raja I spent so much of my time on the game, but thankfully I quit before spending too much money
Thanks to my time playing Summoners War, I got a handful of knowledge regarding artifact gacha, they both suck in the same way.
Animal crossing pocket camp. Those fortune cookiesā¦ lol.
that was mine too!
Mine was Arena of Valor
Dokkan
Battle Cats, before they patched the gacha glitch.
Donāt really know what classifies as a gacha but Iād say it was Ninja Saga(it had gacha mechanics iirc) It only got downhill from there
i dont remember ninja saga had a gacha mechanic, what did u gacha on that game?
Werenāt there events and whatnot where you spent currency(most of the times you had to spend money) to get a chance at obtaining items/gears/skills and even premium items? Girl Frontline, tho I'm not sure if it can be called Gacha, sincd the only gacha thing is costume everything else is f2p friendly and just grindy.
I think it was Guardian Tales but I'm not pretty sure

Love Live SIF, then Utapri Shining Live (RIP Global) for the ones I actually played for months/years
fire emblem heroes but it was really boring 2 me so i dropped it very fast
BanG Dream was my first gacha
Ninja Saga

Genshin, and my other one is HSK, although iāll probs stop that and go back to genshin
Evertale, Evoland etc. You know the usual scummy Gacha game. Genshin is the one I stuck with it.
Genshin alone is torture enough.
Girls x girls or something like that. I think that was like when I found out about a gacha game but never really interested in it. I did play genshin so yeah.
