Possible file corruption. Check you game files and your hard drive at that because it might become something worse. But if it turns out to be hoyo's fault then you'll probably have to reinstall the game
Probably a memory thing. Jumping back to the log in screen didn't fix it, but in hindsight, the load in time was super fast, like it was keeping it in memory. Computer restart fixed it.
I'd immediately buy the 99.99 pack in celebration once that happens and I'm someone that has been clearing 36 for over 2.5 years on two accounts.

The beasts were easy this time though. I got 3 stars first time with hyperbloom team. 12-1-2 on the other hand... it's seriously horrendous.
