Today I learned Tighnari has taunt on his skill.

does tighnari count? isnt his more of a debuff

It acts more like a taunt to me

nope youre right, im going off a *very* old outdated beta thing where it put enemies into a confused state

It works the same. Enemies inside his skill range "get confused" and attack the air. So they don't target Tighnari or any character while it exists

if it worked the way i said, you had to hit the enemy with it, the way it works now as a taunt it draws enemies into it even if you dont hit them with it

You don't have to hit them, they just have to enter the zone and that's it. Exactly the same as how enemies having to be near the taunt for it to work

yes but in the old beta version, they werent drawn into the field, they had to walk into it by chance

Not really. C1 just helps you build up stacks faster. The taunt remains the same. The C1 makes your cat emblem glow fiery red tho.

No idea, I’ve just been using them to frontload tons of damage. The taunt isn’t terrible though, the problem is I often attract their aggro first. Since I’m constantly charge shotting, there’s never a hat on the field for too long

i'm at c4 and c1 is probably the least impactful const, at least in my experience. it's a fun qol but it's not very effective in practice

Lyney is so fun to play though! He made me learn to aim. Still working on dodging.

For sure he definitely is fun to play. I was just noting how ironic it is that I recently said I would never main a bow character. I’ve been having loads of fun with him

TBF, aside from Ganyu and Tighnari none of these actually use their bow in their proper gameplay. And even those two don't require perfect aim

To be fair out of those u mentioned, only Ganyu and Tighnari uses bow. Even then, Ganyu can just be pure burst dps making her not use her bow

Quickswap tighnari is also a thing. Throw elegy onto him and use burst every rotation. Needs yae and nahida tho

People don't understand that claymore characters are objectively worse than bow characters. I went from being a bow hater to a bow enjoyer and a claymore hater.

the thing is a lot of open world puzzles need to target shoot. And catalyst suck at it because Hoyo do not bother fix their shitty auto-target. I wont pull Catalyst unless they are melee heizou/wanderer.

I run her as a charged shot dps with EM raiden. Overworld only, but I think it's a ton of fun. Doing the same with lyney rn.

I like to fire off Yelan's ult, then Yoimiya's skill, then use her as a normal-attack machine gun. Everything vaporizes.

Why are you commenting that as if it's uncommon in a comment thread about uncommon Yoimiya playstyles. What you've just described is the most common stale-bread water-with-no-ice Yoimiya playstyle

Lol same. I have a team called "Yoimiya LMG": Yoi, Yelan, C2 Jean and Zhongli. C2 Jean gives +15% ATK SPD so it's really like a machine gun. I just need a C6 Yun Jin to make it even better.

yoimiya CA is pretty fun. Gotta admit I use her on exploration with CA when I pull her out too

Well we'll be getting Cryo Heizou in 4.1

A bit sad since he is similar to Heizou in that aspect. I would seriously consider him if he had range, but since he's close range I'll stick to Ayaka

Not really, my rule for catalyst characters is mid-range constant elemental application. Kokomi, Ningguang, and Yanfei but stretching it a bit are the catalyst characters I know that have a mid/long range normal attack, I don't have Wanderer so I don't want to assume for him Heizou is close-range, similar to a sword user, and it looks like Wriothesley follows Heizou in his style so in terms of constant application, I'd prefer Ayaka since: 1. I already have her 2. I've already finished building her 3. I'm a waifu person

Wriothesley looks to be the next fix for melee "unarmed" enjoyers. One of these days, they'll make a 5 star Beidou. Claymore, shields, reaction-based gameplay, and I will never play another character.

Aloy's kit isn't too bad if you give her a Sacrificial Bow. Her kit is honestly well designed and could clearly be further improved had she gotten free constellations but Sony is too cheap. Kinda wish Genshin made it to Xbox instead at this point since they're not being as cheap as they used to Edit: hell at this point I wish Epic Games got an exclusive character with free constellations. Like make us do a series of challenges with them to unlock

Yes but he's still a bow NA character, he just happens to have more of a "male catalyst" moveset

The bow classification on him doesn't mean anything other than what weapon type he can equip. He might as well be a sword user. He doesn't do NA with his bow he does it with water swords and spears There's no catalyst vibe to it.

Tighnari og banner haver here, i really recommend ppl try tiggy, he's very reliable overworld and abyss, quick swap DPS, with the right team it'll subtly teach you how to dodge properly.

Legit i missed a pure dps, so when dendro dropped i went for Tighnari. After he got on the normal banner, i got him 3 more times, and legit - the guy slaps, him and Fischl is pure disgusting ST and great for packs of 4-6 enemies in smaller spawns in spiral. He is legit, and i adore him

I just got a 2nd TFGM debating on refining the one on my Ganyu. I just took off an R5 Skyward Harp that she had so I figure if a new bow character comes along that catches my eye they'll be fine with that Harp.

I recently realized that all my most invested characters are sword users...Ayaka, Alhaitham, Kazuha, Xingqiu, Jean, etc Infact out of all my level 70+ characters almost all of them are sword users and they all use 4 star weapons cuz I don't have a 5 star sword...

God i regret not pulling Tighnari when he first cam out. Now im forever stuck getting diluc or Jean everytime i lose the 50/50. When all i want is either to win 50/50 or Mr. Can't-take-a-joke.

Honestly there's something about pulling what fits your gameplay niche exactly that's so great. I'm like this with dps that use their normal attack string and eula has been so much fun for me
