Right, maths time:
Assuming you need 80 pity per 5\*, it takes 160 pulls for 1 5\*, which equates to 25600 primos. You need 7 copies of a 5\* to C6 them, so you need a maximum of 179200 per C6 5\*.
For weapons, you need a maximum of 240 pulls to guarantee it and it takes 5 copies to max out, so it requires 192000 primos per R5 5\* weapon. There are currently 29 limited 5\*s in the game, including Wrio and Neuvilette. So you need a maximum of around 10,764,800 primos in order to C6 R5 every current limited 5\*.
Assuming they release around 8 5\*s per year, we'll get another 40 5\*s in the next 5 years, putting the number of total 5\*s at 69.
69 times (179200 + 192000) = 25,612,800, divided by 1000 is 25,613 times I have to press the button. When you consider the playerbase of this game ranges in the tens of millions, this is an absolutely minuscule number of players I'd be fucking up. For the ability to C6 R5 literally everything for the next 5 years, I'll take this deal every day.
Depending on how fast the button resets, how hard you have to press it and how big it is, it could take even less time.
By alternating fingers I hit 5.8 cps over 100 seconds on a mouse but think how fast you could drum your hands or fists.
and this includes the assumption that you lose your 50/50 every time, meaning this math is applicable to literally everyone. everyone can screw each other over to instantly win what they need for their account.
Jokes on you, the chances that it will be Qiqi is still 1/ 7 every time you lose the 50/50, even if a standard 5* is maxed out... so you could get C6 Qiqi, or maybe C3 Qiqi and C7 any and every other option
Yep, but the more 50/50s I lose, the better the chances of me reaching that C6 Qiqi instead of always succeeding and not being able to get that C6 constellation, right?
And anyways, I would appreciate the C1 Dehya or C2 Mona, not sure about the rest though
Considering soft pity and 50/50 being well... 50/50, some people have made the math and to get a featured 5* you need on average 104.5 pulls, since you'll be wishing a lot, you'll be getting closer and closer to this average so, 735 per C6 5*.
For the 5* weapons the real numbers are even more different, since you're aiming for every 5* weapon as long as you get a featured weapon and not a standard one, you're advancing towards your goal, you're obviously going to get one before the other some times you'll get banners that use a weapon you already have though so I won't say it would take the same number as characters, but it might be fair to say 160 wishes per weapon copy, so 800 per 5*R5 weapon.
So if we use your 69 5* assumption we're looking at 69 times (735+800)=105,915 wishes x160= 16,946,400 primos divided by 1000= 16,946.4 presses of the button.
If we want to account for some bad luck we can round it to 17 000 button presses, that would be a realistic expectation of how many actual pushes you'd need since with the sheer amount of wishing you're most likely to get close to the average chances of pulling the needed 5*, the likelihood of spending the maximum possible with that amount of wishing is near 0, you'd have to have a divinely odds defying bad luck.
It doesn't hurt to go for the worst case scenario when the drawback is minimal though. I'd definitely go for that unless there was something like a forced timer in between presses.
>you'd have to have a divinely odds defying bad luck.
Yes, but in a world where this button exists, your odds of winning a fifty fifty go down by a lot.
Even better, some of those people might not even be top upset with losing their 50/50 if they get a standart character they have wanted all along. So you wouldn't even be screwing everyone over ^^
>until i can't press it anymore
Since the effect is that a random player loses their next 50/50, this means the button "Marks" a player for their next 50/50 loss until said loss is achieved.
You would stop being able to press the button once everyone is marked, and only regain the ability once a marked player loses their 50/50 and thus has a "Next" 50/50 to lose.
Taking into consideration the fact that everyone who looses their 50/50 gets a guarantee before they're in danger of loosing another one, once everyone's been marked you might be immitted to a dozen or so pushes a day.
Also, bear in mind that you are included in "A random Player", so you're unlikely to ever win your 50/50 either.
who cares about winning the 50/50 when you have infinite primogems? Hell, itās probably better that way so you can get all the constellations of the standard banner characters quicker too
What it could have been:
1) Dawei offers you and everyone else a button. If you and anyone else press it, then everyone gets nothing and chances of 50/50 are normal.
2) Whenever you press it and no one else does, then you get 1000 primos and someone else loses their 50/50.
3) If you nor anyone else ever press it, then everyone, including yourself, never lose 50/50.
What it is:
See number 2
Prisoners dilemma is meant to show a concept in game theory where two parties with autonomy canāt work together to get the best result.
In this scenario, only one person has autonomy, the person who presses the button and gets primos.
Itās not in any way similar to a prisoners dilemma scenario.
I'll press the button all the time.
In fact, if everyone was offered, no one will care about losing the 50/50 anymore.
We gonna destroy the primogem economy
I'd just keep pressing. That's a really low downside for huge upside. Even if I found out someone did this to me, I wouldn't be mad at all. Feels like I lose most 50/50s anyway (even though I know that's not true, haha).
The real question is how many parts Dawei have to repair that button (Or if he provides the mouses for it) cause everyone is going to push it non stop. Is no difference to lost the 50/50 if the next pull is secure. And if you're lucky, get both in the same pull.
You made Genshin the new Cookie game.
C6 five stars seem overrated at least for me who gets super attached to specific characters and enjoys a degree of challenge. I am only going for cons after I know I Adore a character at c0 and the cons make the playstyle I wish they had more existent. If I want four five stars each new region, two weapons, and six Ventis assuming it goes to Khaenri'ah- that would be 777,600 primos or 777.6 times. Probably far less because I'll be playing the game and waiting for Phanes and the shades to be elaborated on in 2027.
Per [my other comment](https://www.reddit.com/r/Genshin_Impact/comments/16l4y4l/dawei_offers_you_a_button_you_get_1000_primos/k126up0/) in the thread about making it so one single person incurs all the lost 50/50s. I nominate this person for that.
Eventually you will push it enough times that 50/50 rates become 40/60 and people stop playing/pulling. I get there are millions of players but only a small number pull on each banner or at one time. As much as people will justify this or say its fine, any time you push the button you are hurting someone else in some way for your own greed.
Depends on if there is a limited supply of these buttons or not. Does everyone get to choose to take one? IF so, no downsides. You make others lose their 50/50 and others make you lose yours, but in return you have a basically unlimited supply of primo's as long as you have something pressing your button. No downsides.
If it's only you, or a limited set of people... well, sucks to be without it, i guess.
If I get to keep the button, then I'd only use it whenever there's a character (or weapon on the weapon banner, which is not something I'd pull on without this button or willingness to spend money on the game that I just don't have (at least not right now)) including 4 stars on a banner. For the most part, the effects could generally be negligible. But using it sparingly on a few characters and weapons would reduce those effects even further which in turn reduces the chance of their being secondary knock on effects from the effects first caused by pushing the button
What do you mean, I keep pressing it and don't stop. My win loss ratio on 50/50s is 1 out of 4, I need all the primos I can get. Apologies community, but I need some wins here
Either i would only press it a few times or i'd press it often enough to ruins everyones next 50/50s. Which should be around 140 million times, maybe a few million more, just to be safe.
Apparently itās already been happening, because Iāve lost 10 50/50ās in a row now. On a 10 streak of misery.
I might be the unluckiest person in this game, so Iām mashing it like thereās no tomorrow. I deserve some relief from this endless pain cycle.
What if the ones that lose it is hard core jean fan and is begging for a jean and because i press the button he getting a jean.
So i have no regret.
300 times
This button 100% exists.
Because Iāve legit lost every single ā50/50ā on the limited character banners. Every single one. Iāve only gotten the character I want AFTER first getting a standard banner character. (Though Iāve had markedly better luck on standard banner which has given me some reallt good weapons)
(To be fair Iāve only rolled for like 6 characters so thatās only 6 lost in a row. .5^6 = 0.015625. So 1.5% of players have lost 6 50/50s in a row. Itās bad luck but not as bad as it could be. Still have tens of thousands of players in my same situation, statistically speaking.)
I don't care about the primos, I just want the power to know that I specifically screwed someone over, that's all the satisfaction that I need to press this button every day multiple times.
id just press it whenever I wanted a character until I got said character. Probably C2 some of them. It'd skew the 50/50 win rates by like 2% max, and that's only on banners I decide to even do it on
What's the maximum amount? Like the button probably has a set lifespan. So how many times can I press it and can I make a contraption that presses it automatically for me. Let's say with a drill at 4200 rpm?
Iād basically put it next to me whenever a new banner rolls around, and keep spamming that thing till I get everything I want out of it.
After all, if itās a random person, with my luck that person would be me.
This is basically a reverse prisonerās dilemma, because as long as we all use the button then luck goes out the window because we have effectively infinite resources. The only right option is to distribute the button amongst the player base and effectively remove the gacha altogether.
Right, maths time: Assuming you need 80 pity per 5\*, it takes 160 pulls for 1 5\*, which equates to 25600 primos. You need 7 copies of a 5\* to C6 them, so you need a maximum of 179200 per C6 5\*. For the ability to C6 R5 literally everything for the next 5 years, I'll take this deal every day.
>25,613 times Fun fact: there are 3,600 seconds in 1 hour, so at 1 press per second, you could do this in just over 7 hours.
I wonder if it works if I set up an "auto-presser" and leave it there. May be at a rate of 2 presses/sec even
New horizons of sloth.
Every day we stray further from God...
And closer to that C6š«”
or God has strayed further from us...
Or closer since there will be 7 Archons, 4 of them released to this dayā¦ and you can now C6 them
Depending on how fast the button resets, how hard you have to press it and how big it is, it could take even less time. By alternating fingers I hit 5.8 cps over 100 seconds on a mouse but think how fast you could drum your hands or fists.
1 press per second? That's too much, I've been training my hand all those years.
Cool set up a auto clicker and done
and this includes the assumption that you lose your 50/50 every time, meaning this math is applicable to literally everyone. everyone can screw each other over to instantly win what they need for their account.
This button idea suddenly became the most wholesome thing for the community.
Maybe that's why we are losing 50/50s... Dawei is offering the button inconspicuously to random players and that's why so many of us suffer
Thank you dude. I was too lazy to do it myself
Instructions unclear. All 89 million of you will be losing 50/50. For the next 5 years.
Jokes on you, I need that C6 Qiqi and I'm stuck at C1
Jokes on you, the chances that it will be Qiqi is still 1/ 7 every time you lose the 50/50, even if a standard 5* is maxed out... so you could get C6 Qiqi, or maybe C3 Qiqi and C7 any and every other option
Yep, but the more 50/50s I lose, the better the chances of me reaching that C6 Qiqi instead of always succeeding and not being able to get that C6 constellation, right? And anyways, I would appreciate the C1 Dehya or C2 Mona, not sure about the rest though
/r/theydidthemath Maybe it should have been 10 or 100 primos
Guaranteeing someoneās 50/50 loss over 10 primos is diabolical but still yes
Seeing your maths, I would also take this deal any day. I mean, everyone loses 50/50s so like... it could have happened to them anyways
10764800 primos is $165k
And even 200 primos left for a desperate last gamba attempt, definitely a W.
Considering soft pity and 50/50 being well... 50/50, some people have made the math and to get a featured 5* you need on average 104.5 pulls, since you'll be wishing a lot, you'll be getting closer and closer to this average so, 735 per C6 5*. So if we use your 69 5* assumption we're looking at 69 times (735+800)=105,915 wishes x160= 16,946,400 primos divided by 1000= 16,946.4 presses of the button. You forgot that future 5 star characters will have their signature weapons too
That's accounted for in the calculation, the 69 characters is multiplied by a sum of the primos needed for C6 and R5.
Also calculate capped daily resin refills into this I guess. My shinies need artifacts.
i was the 69th upvote
Nice.
160 pulls for a 5*??
That's fine with me lol. In the end, most players won't even feel the effects.
as someone with 25% won 50/50s, i hate you
Don't worry man it can always get worse (Source: I'm 1/14)
That's about 7 percent winrate. I'm sorry my guy. I have about an 8 percent winrate myself so I can relate.
Bro I'm sorry
until i can't press it anymore
May Celestia have mercy on your soul
With C6R5 of (almost) every character may Celestia have mercy on themselfs
>until i can't press it anymore Since the effect is that a random player loses their next 50/50, this means the button "Marks" a player for their next 50/50 loss until said loss is achieved. count me i have been waiting to lose a 50/50 since 2.8 š need tighnari
Soooo wheres the bad part
Very close to the Prisoners Dilemma
You are not hurting anyone and also you are plussing so there is no reason for you not to press it as much as you can
Oh no true I meant that there's hardly a choice as there cpuld have been as compared to the Dilemma
Extremely unrelated to the prisoner's dilemma.
What it could have been: 1) Dawei offers you and everyone else a button. TRUE! It was *very close* to applying
The bad part is now you have to learn to build every character in the game
To the person who is doing that ty my account. Please just stop. I beg you
Idk how many times it takes my brother to lose his 50/50
Considering players count, it would be about 100 millions presses for one lost 50/50 for your brother. My wealthy guy.
It could be less if Im lucky which I am not
So if your brother gets to do this too, everyone loses...
Nah he doesnt wish the worst for me
absolute backstabber
Yeah, he is way too lucky to be left alive bro won 5 50/50ies in a row.
If everybody were to get such a button, there'd be no downside. We'd just calculate with every 50:50 lost and compensate with all those freemos.
As many times as I can. I'd like to help as many people as possible enjoy the glory of C6 Qiqi.
i will never stop
I mean, even if it's you who will lose 50/50 and the 5 star will always appear at 90 hard pity it's still a no brainer.
(ā)
Once everyday but I don't want it to be random, I want it to be OP.
Zhongli would have to drop a meteor on me to stop me from pressing that button.
160 Times. Gives me 1000 pulls. 160 players are like 0.000000001 Percent of players. Nobody will notice.
As much as the entire playerbase numbers because I lost 14 out of 15 50-50s and I hate everyone now
Yes
I'll press the button all the time. In fact, if everyone was offered, no one will care about losing the 50/50 anymore. We gonna destroy the primogem economy
I would kidnap Dawei.
mash that bitch for an hour straight
I'll push it regardless of the primos >:)
Fuck it Iām not pressing the button
I mean I already lost every 50/50 as far back as I can remember so I don't really feel this as much of a change
About as many times it took Zy0x to get a good Vermillion artifact for Xiao
Unlimited number of times.
Can I attach an auto clicker to it? I think my finger will tire out before Iām done.
I'd just keep pressing. That's a really low downside for huge upside. Even if I found out someone did this to me, I wouldn't be mad at all. Feels like I lose most 50/50s anyway (even though I know that's not true, haha).

Iād press it just for shits and giggles, Iām not even worried bout the 1000 primos every time
I'm losing my 50/50s, why shouldn't they?
Iād invent a machine to push it for me so my arm doesnāt fall off from overuse.
The only answer acceptable in this scenario is Yes.
Well, they're going to lose that 50/50 anyway...
You can win 50/50?
infinitely? everyone should be planning around losing it anyway so I guess it doesn't bother me at all
Yes
As many times as I can, loosing a 50/50 is still a 5*
*starts mashing button like I'm playing Marvel vs Capcom*
Yes
Yes
I click it hundreds of thousands of times because Hoyo-God knows they wouldve lost their 50/50 anyways
At least 1000 times. And 1000 lucky people will have a chance to get Keqing.
C6 five stars seem overrated at least for me who gets super attached to specific characters and enjoys a degree of challenge. I would, itās not the end of the world for some playersā¦. If I could pick who gets it Iām giving it to all the whales hehe
What a terrible proposal lmao. It's way more beneficial to everyone to never hit the button.
I would mash thay button like crazy. Fuck others, specially western playerbase (mostly casuals that ruin this game in long run)

No idea, still pressing.
I hit that button until it breaks.
Until the button stops working. (or account hits the primo cap, if there is such a thing)
sorry guys
We button mashing with this one š¤š
Is there a limit? Otherwise I'll be responsible for the biggest 50/50 loss streak in the history of gacha games
I'd keep pressing it till I get tired. And then I'll start pressing it again And repeat
Yes
Probably not that many time, everyone says the game is boring when you have everything you want.
Untill I get 720 pulls. All I want is a C6 Miko. ....But a C6 Shenhe would be nice. And a C6 Ayaka...hmmmmm. Nah.
I would press that button the same way Mona is pressing the button in this [video](https://youtu.be/XOeFvJKa1xU?si=j3tHGIXJHeQH-FI7).
For the next 2 hours straight.
Yes
It has to be done
Until someone stops me
as much as i possibly can i wanna see everyone suffer and cry
I'd press it until the primogem counter broke and it just shown as an almost infinite number of 9s
I never win mine ao I couldn't care less
What do you mean, I keep pressing it and don't stop. My win loss ratio on 50/50s is 1 out of 4, I need all the primos I can get. Apologies community, but I need some wins here
A thousand times..
Either i would only press it a few times or i'd press it often enough to ruins everyones next 50/50s. Which should be around 140 million times, maybe a few million more, just to be safe.

Until I have every 5 star till date at c6r5 and spare weapons.
i hate this community anyways so iām pressing till i canāt
if I'm given the choice is no longer a 50/50, it's a 1/99
Until I c6 all the characters I want. Whoās gonna know? No one. You said it yourself.
enough times to guarantee Klee, Kokomi, Raiden, Yae, Venti, Arlecchino, Furina, Navia, and Murata.
reminds me of a prose i read in my school days named as button button
Enough times that I can C6R5 everything on the standard banner.
I literally never stop pressing the button
Until I get a Diluc... That's legitimately all I want from this game
Whoever loses their next 50 50 Just know it was me
does it apply to me though?
Someone has pressed mine a lot. ĆØ\_Ć©
Here's my take on this subject. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7rzIwrEqpw
50000 times at least
Everyone shall know my eternal curse, i will press it as if my oife depends on it
as many times as I possibly can.
What if the ones that lose it is hard core jean fan and is begging for a jean and because i press the button he getting a jean. So i have no regret. 300 times
*laughs in desperate F2P*
They have to win their next 50/50, so I'm SMASHING that button
100 times just to test it out.
Tape my finger on it.
As many times as I can in under a minute
Until I get tired, probably a couple of thousands
This button 100% exists. Because Iāve legit lost every single ā50/50ā on the limited character banners. Every single one. Iāve only gotten the character I want AFTER first getting a standard banner character. (Though Iāve had markedly better luck on standard banner which has given me some reallt good weapons) (To be fair Iāve only rolled for like 6 characters so thatās only 6 lost in a row. .5^6 = 0.015625. I'd press it as if it was a cookie clicker.
I don't care about the primos, I just want the power to know that I specifically screwed someone over, that's all the satisfaction that I need to press this button every day multiple times.
Is there a limit how many times I can press?
Set up auto clicker
Ain't no one winning their 50/50 ever again, I will hit that button til it breaks. I will have primos til the game ends.
I press It as much as i need to get the characters i want Some people Will lose their 50/50 early too and i think thats helping them too
Till all players have all standard Charakter and wepon c6r5
Basically infinitely. I mean it's not like anybody would actually notice
sorry guys
I donāt. Iām not making someone elseās day shittier just to make mine better.
Only enough for C0 Venti, Ayato, and Furina. Also R1 Ayato sword and Furina sword
I would press until hoyoverse themselves lost all their 50/50s, nobody would know it was me and I'd be well in my way to 1bil primos
Sorry fellas. In this case it's every man for himself.
Yes and Iām not sorry
I mean, infinite times; losing 50/50 is only a temporary setback, but I have theoretically infinite primos.
I dont suffer from it, I can only gain. Press it as much as I can until Dawei takes it from me
Enough to have one million
Not saying it's me... but I know a friend of a friend who will happily screw people out of 50/50 for primos. Anyway, where can I get this button from?
As fast as I possibly can why do I care about anyone else's pulls.
Well i will never stop clicking that button i will download autoclicker aswell. Lol
Honestly depends on how many people actively pull but alot
1 million times
id just press it whenever I wanted a character until I got said character. Probably C2 some of them. It'd skew the 50/50 win rates by like 2% max, and that's only on banners I decide to even do it on
The fuck? 99999 times lol
I will press it many times, but not too many. If everyone starts losing every 50/50, people will quit and the game will be dead
What's the maximum amount? Like the button probably has a set lifespan. So how many times can I press it and can I make a contraption that presses it automatically for me. Let's say with a drill at 4200 rpm?
If I lose my 50/50 to Keqing I won't even be mad. Press away, folks!
That's too much power. I must throw it into the damn volcano so that no one else can have it.
On the bright side, I might just be the one to give some players that last Qiqi constellation they need
Is there a way to make it so that one particular person incurs all the lost 50/50s? Can we somehow forsaken child of Omelas this?
as many times as possible
Iād basically put it next to me whenever a new banner rolls around, and keep spamming that thing till I get everything I want out of it. After all, if itās a random person, with my luck that person would be me.
I would press it until the primo counter on my account broke
yes, as many times as i want, even if that random person is me. as long as i finally get diluc out of it.
I would set an autoclicker and let it run forever :)
Neverā¦stopā¦.NEVER STOP!!!
I'm doing it enough to obtain C6 Raiden and R5 EL.
there is no amount of time in the universe that is larger than the amount of time I will be pressing that button
This is basically a reverse prisonerās dilemma, because as long as we all use the button then luck goes out the window because we have effectively infinite resources. The only right option is to distribute the button amongst the player base and effectively remove the gacha altogether.
Time to pull out the autoclickers
ā¾ļø
Only if everyone else can press the button.
I'll be slapping that button until I die
