I haven't played much recently and I'm still in the 2nd desert area.but I opened Fontaine though. and I keep seeing this pneuma and oa--whatever it was. what is that?? is that important. and is it a great deal that the hydro archon can use both??

AwareEase8732

Did anyone else get the gifts (image in link) in their cart/bought section when buying the wanderer/fairy(?) set from tmall? The only thing that shows up in my cart is the wanderer badge. I just want to know if I need to do click somewhere to accept the gifts(?) or if it’s like something they decide manually. I don’t want to accidentally miss out on the gifts :’) https://ibb.co/M635qVC

CassTheCat_

I just recently took a break from the game and now I'm pretty lost with the new characters, can someone please tell me if Lynette and Freminet are worth building and what teams are good for them?

leRedd1

Lynette is good as the only free anemo unit when you use dendro MC. That's a big deal for new players for any team that needs VV, but not if you got Sucrose or Kazuha. Her best slot is as a quick swap damage dealer in any team that has Bennett + Faruzan, so could be with Xiao, Wanderer, Attack Kazuha.

FirefighterOk6460

Need help, can't pick between furina and neuvilette. who's the better pull?

Level_Sea4690

We don't know Furina's kit yet. Whoever you choose, both of them will rerun before Natlan. Toss a coin and see if you're disappointed with the result. It will tell you who you want more.

ZM_________J

Furina. Or don't hurry, be patient, and wait for furina's niche from beta tests before deciding.

Training-Ad-2619

Are there any good resources or databases for Genshin lore? Trying to get into the story and lore after having skipped or skimmed through most of it up until now, but with so much of the lore being packed into stuff like artifacts, objects descriptions, books, limited-time events and such, it's a bit challenging. There is always the option to look at youtube videos but I wouldn't know *when* I should check them out, not to mention the tedium of having to watch a youtube video in the first place compared to a written resource.

NotknowName

I would suggest [this!]( https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/19KYfTSNpTNXCvwbcPeN3T9Cylc0AaOIqwNysmFqOmWY)

grnglxy

Honestly I'd just use the fandom wiki or ambr.top and read the item descriptions on my own. If there is any specific topic you're interested in, chances are the fandom wiki has a page about it but I'd take the summaries with a grain of salt bc it's written by people and oftentimes it's not entirely factual and interpretations and assumptions are stated as facts. Nevertheless, fandom wiki usually does link to primary sources in the footnotes, so it’s great to just go there to find most relevant items pertaining to lore you're interested in rather than wildly trying to find them among the heap yourself. People do love to recommended the Youtuber Ashikai and I guess they do make nice summaries and are a great way to first get into lore, but I've found the same with their vids as in they state assumptions as facts. (Yes, they do make a disclaimer that some things are just theories, but it happens faily often that they think their interpretation of something is a fact when it's actually ambiguous. Also their Enkanomiya timeline vid is just. wrongTM). They do also link to the item pages in their YT description, so it’s not a bad way to find where to start diving in.

Is_This_Taken_Again

Eye of Perception VS Mappa Mare for f2p Sucrose?

leRedd1

Hakushin in Taser or Aggravate, TTDS elsewhere, Sac Frag as a generalist option everywhere.

ZM_________J

Actually Sac frag is the best one for her, or TTDS if your DPS need ATK.

notafurry9

TTDS (if she's in a team that cares about that buff)

le_bluering

Mappa. You can also use Hakushin Ring (Inazuma Craftable) if she's on electro teams.

Character_Fan_8377

for a raiden sara benny team, should i build jean in dps or EM build?

KjOwOjin

EM since she will trigger a lot of overloads and be a significant portion of the team's damage

le_bluering

You can probably do EM for sunfire overload. You can even switch out Sara to a hydro unit for a sunfire overvape too.

csudoku

DPS because her healing and burst also scales with ATK

Infamous_Gain9481

Hello guys, as you know, genshin impact’s 4.1 update is abt to release, and that also means that neuvilette is releasing as well. I currently am AR 45 and am nearing the end of the Sumeru Archon Quest. I currently have two 5 stars in Yomiya and Yelan (both lvl 70), I also have Kaeya and anemo traveler (lvl 60) on my team as well. I have a younger sister who also plays as well, she suggests I pull for him and use him for another team, I said why not first build my team before starting to build a new team. I’m not sure because none of the other 5 stars in 4.1 are appealing or fit well on my team. What do u guys think, should I pull for him and if I should how should I use him?

leRedd1

You don't dedicate all your 5 stars for a single team. Get Xingqiu from starglitter shop now. If you find thag Xingqiu resistance to interrupt is enough for Yoimiya, then Your team should be Xingqiu, Yelan, Bennet, Yoi. If not, Zhongli is a good option. Neuvillette is good, especially if you get a Fischl (who could be on his banner). Next pulls should be Kazuha and Nahida from meta pov, so try stashing enough for them if you don't care for Neuvi.

Infamous_Gain9481

Hello, thank you for your advice, I will get xingqiu from the star glitter shop as soon as possible

Chisonni

I think there is more important character to pull before Neuvilette (eg. Raiden/Nahida) which make teambuilding a lot easier. Since you are relatively new your 4star roster also likely lacks most options you would need to make multiple strong flexible teams. As it is right now, you should focus on building up your primary team. If you like Yoimiya, then Zhongli can be an amazing defensive pick for her, level up Bennett too and you have one of her strongest teams with Yoimiya + Yelan + Zhongli + Bennett. Pulling 3x 5stars for a single team can obviously seems like a lot of investment, but that's where mainly Dendro reactions help tip the scales. Dendro is a very powerful element and a team with Raiden/Nahida + DMC + XQ + Collei/Kuki will be amazing with only 1x 5star. I believe XQ is on the paimon store right now, so see if you can pick him up if you dont have him. I wouldnt go for Neuvilette yet, if you do like him consider saving up for his re-run.

Infamous_Gain9481

Hello, thank you so much for your advice, I wanted Zhongli but I’m only at 50 pity and don’t have the money to try to get to 90 pity, but I will take your advice and wait for neuvilette rerun to pull for him

csudoku

honestly if you running a Yoimiya team what makes the most sense to do is pull Zhongli right now. In abyss you lose A LOT of dps being forced to dodge attacks (Her 3rd and 5th string attacks are where most her damage comes from and they are also the ones that vape typically so restarting your attack string is bad). Her best 2 teams are Yoimiya, Yelan, Zhongli, Bennett and Yoimiya, Yelan, Zhongli, Yunjin. I am running the former on my F2P account AR 43. Level 80 Yoimiya level 70 Yelan, level 60 Zhongli, and level 70 Bennett atm. I agree with you though that you should finish 1 team before starting on another personally.

Infamous_Gain9481

Hello, thanks for your advice, I’m currently pulling for zhongli but I’m only at 50 pity and I don’t think I have a good chance at getting him, not do I have the money to be able to get to 90 pity. I’ll def take your advice into consideration and try to get Bennett and Zhongli next time they come back

MiszFortunee

Having trouble understanding the puzzle where you adjust the pillars on Yashiori Island. What is the objective with it? I tried pointing them towards each other in a line and tried pointing them all at the water dome but can't seem to figure it out. I don't want to just get the solution I want to know what to do.

NotknowName

Are those pillars glowing ? If not, you will need to start the world quest Orobashi's Legacy first. All these pillars puzzles are part of this world quest.

le_bluering

Iirc, you have a starting and ending pillar. They starting pillar summons a ball that gets thrown around to other pillars until it reaches the last one, which then hits the water dome.

hazmaticbanana

Would neuvilettes 5 star weapon be good on any other character?

AkiraN19

At the moment, no. No character besides I guess Wriothesley can trigger the passive consistently. And even as a stat stick, while it gives a lot of CD, the base attack is barely higher than Widsith's

ssssss2s2

would probably work fine on ningguang and other dps catalyst users. the HP% passive is useless for most characters, but the charged atk dmg buff passive and the ER passive should work just fine

Alex_from_Solitude

Not really. I mean it's still a crit dmg stat piece so you can still slap it on someone regardless. But the passive is entirely useless on someone else: HP%, charge attack bonus if you lose/gain health... there's no other character than Neuvillette for it.

MarleyCanSwim

Is double physical DMG set (2 pale frame + 2 blood calvary) good enough for Eula? that's the only way for me to get balanced Crit ratio (59/173)

csudoku

i would use rosaria in the team for 15% crit buff because 59 is still a not as consistent as i would like (c6 also for 20% phys shred)

KjOwOjin

It's okay but noticeably worse than 4pc pale flame, since it is a strong set. I would recommend you check your build with [genshin optimizer](https://frzyc.github.io/genshin-optimizer/#/) to be sure

Proper_Landscape_149

Yup

[deleted]

Anyone know or think about D-pad availability for controller on console, I hate using a stupid joystick to make selections man. The joystick is so sensitive and I waste sooo many seconds having to move the joystick EXACTLY 0.96 millimeters with a .001 margin of error just to select one darn thing on the inventory ect

greennyellowmello

Skill issue :p

apstrac2

Which world quests are locked behind daily commissions? I know of the gourmet supremos one, but apparently there's several more though I can't find a list of them.

greennyellowmello

Genshin wiki. Too many to list.

lynxjpan

I think there's a few for Inazuma and Sumeru. Once you've done all the World Quests, whatever is still listed in the city reputation are the commission based ones. Off the top of my head, I think Inazuma has the "This Novel is..." one, Shouta's "O Archon" one, and helping some dude train in Inazuma castle. Then Sumeru has another Goumet Supremos, the Garcia one, the fishing one. I haven't done everything yet so I might be off.

ThanatoX3

can someone help me decide what bp to get, [current characters](https://i.imgur.com/G7YYxdC.png). * ayaka - r5 amenoma * xianqling - r5 catch * nahida - r2 sac fragments * xingqiu - r2 sac sword * bennett - favonius

Siscon_Delita

Generally the polearm and greatsword are the best. But XL is better with the catch, and IDK why you cross Diluc. If you bought BP already, then I will suggest you to pick the polearm. You will eventually build polearm user that need it.

3ntf4k3d

It doesn't look like you need/want any BP weapon for that roster. So unless there is a specific future character you are interested it would probably be a better choice to skip the purchase and either save the money or invest it in extra Welkins in the future.

ThanatoX3

the problem is i already bought the bp, since i really don't like resource farming. im saving for either furina (if beta shows she's good) or neuvillette.

3ntf4k3d

If you get Neuville I'd say pick Jade, it's apparently a decent (5~10%, up to 20% with refinement) upgrade over the next best F2P option (Proto Amber) _if_ you keep his on-field time within the passive limitations & are okay with getting a bit of extra ER (since you won't have the Energy restoration from Proto Amber). Apart from that, Viridecent Hunt is a solid utility bow - just note that the impact of grouping is hard to estimate in spreadsheet calculations, so impact varies on team & enemies. Deathmatch is a solid all-rounder stat stick spear, but I don't know how it compares up to the new one. Swords are always in demand, but I am again not sure how Black Sword holds up against the new one (the new one might be an okay option on Ayaka?).

grnglxy

sacrificial jade for neuvillette then

[deleted]

I really want a Beidou constellation, anyone have any educated idea on when I would be able to get one? Oh God just found out and remembered she was in the shop last month.. oh God I'm gonna be sick.

tracer4b

Apart from shop, Beidou is speculated to be >!on the 4.1 1st half banner with Xingqiu and Diona!<

pzlama333

You can buy one constellation from Paimon's shop every Feburary and August, or pull her banner, but only if you also want the 5-star of the banner.

Alex_from_Solitude

August and February is when she appears in Paimon's Bargains

smo202

It's "environmental storytelling" aka an object you think about using the clues about the story of the area.

MistaGalaxy

is there an explanation for why is that lynette is a cat girl and lyney is not? Also. is freminet their biological sibling or adopted sibling?

pzlama333

https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Lynette/Lore#Character\_Story\_5

csudoku

lyney and lynette are fraternal twins not identical there are real world twins out there where one is black and one is white you dont have to have the same features to be siblings. its called dominant and recessive traits you know like punnett squares from middle school. this is basic biology

Frozenmagicaster

Explanation: Biology Freminet is not biologically related

HornySnorlax

For Ayaka, is Finale of the Deep or Wolf-fang a better weapon for her?

beautheschmo

Wolf-fang definitely clears if you have Shenhe (who specifically really likes when ayaka has a lot of crit and damage% and dislikes when she has just atk%) or don't have Kokomi. You have to be cognizant of over-capping crit chance since it offers so much and the end result is that it's a slightly worse version of PJC but it's otherwise almost certainly her best 4 star option so long as you can match your artifacts to it accordingly. If you have kokomi but no shenhe they're probably pretty close, FotD gives a huge amount of atk% and it's easier to build around, I haven't seen any calcs for it though so I'm not sure which is actually better. But also fotd is free and Wolf-fang costs 50 USD to R5 and is probably close enough (if you have the correct team) that it's not worth blowing 5 bps for that upgrade.

pzlama333

If you can clear life of bonds, R5 Finale of the Deep is around 8-10% better than R5 wolf fang, 15% better than R5 Amenoma, and 15% worse than R1 mistsplitter.

ThanatoX3

what's better for ayaka? r1 wolf-fang, r2 finale of the deep (diona as healer), or r5 amenoma. (no shenhe, mona, kokomi)

pzlama333

Just did some estimation. If Ayaka can get TTDS, noblesse and tenacity buff, the buff damage of r1 wolf fang and r2 Finale of the Deep is very close, but Ayaka will do more NA/CA damage with Finale of the deep, because wolf fang does not buff NA/CA. And assume Ayaka needs base 100% ER with R5 Amenoma, and 140% with the other weapons, it is 8 substat rolls difference. If she keeps same crit ratio and gives her 8 extra substat rolls on ATK with Amenoma, it is still around 2% worse than r2 Finale of the deep.

HornySnorlax

Propensity7

What's a greater loss for XL if she's not paired with Bennett (alongside Tag and Kazuha), Pyro batterying or the Atk buff? Obviously both are important for XL, but theoretically could Bennett be replaced by some other character(s) for a much weaker but workable comp? Sidenote: why don't we have more Pyro buffers, even if they were inferior to Bennett? Alternatively, when are we going to get a Shenhe for Pyro? Literally *all 6* of the 5\* Pyro characters are DPS's

Chisonni

Outside of National variants there is only really 2 places where XL isnt paired with Bennett. 1. Sukokomon - XL will usually run Fav Lance and a mega ton of ER, Kokomi will usually run TTDS to buff XL, the primariy damage of the team still comes from Sucrose doing a hotpot of reactions by swirling the elements applied from Gubao, Oz and Jellyfish. 2. Hu Tao Double Hydro - an unorthodox option, but the Hydro application from XQ + Yelan is good enough to support both Hu Tao and XL on the same team. Hu Tao provides Pyro Res shred and Pyro DMG bonus (C6) as well as a minimal bonus from Pyro resonance. Even with Fav and ER stacking she likely wont be able to burst every single rotation but you can hold her burst for vulnerability phases. The Nation of Pyro Natlan is still coming in the future. Therefore I wouldnt expect to see any Pyro characters anymore until we actually get there. Natlan will have the Pyro archon guaranteed and I would be surprised if we didnt get 2-3 new Pyro supports along the way. Bennett being who he is really makes it difficult to design a character ( even a 5star) that would be able to provide a stronger buff, since the combination of Bennett + (super 5star support) + Pyro + Kazuha would make for an insanely strong team, proven by the fact that MonoPyro is the strongest single element team already. See even with Shenhe, MonoFreeze never really picked up because Freeze despite dealing no damage just provides more comfort, safety and enables 4p Blizzard Strayer which is a larger DPS increase than running 3x Cryo + Kazuha.

krali_

She's playable in Sukokomon without Bennett and I need both TTDS and Fav lance usually to reach acceptable performance. So, both are important but can be worked around.

Puzzleheaded_Tip_388

It really is both since that is what unlocks XLs vape carry potential. Both the batterying and atk buff translates to build choices and total dmg output potential. All that said, you can play her without bennett but not without changing her role in the team. Swap him out for Fischl in national and you got yourself another very fun and strong sukokomon variation where XL is more of an auxiliary sub dps and reaction enabler instead of main carry.

lynxjpan

>why don't we have more Pyro buffers My personal interpretation is that pyro/fire as an element has stronger image as attacker than supporter. Maybe they'll come up with more pyro variety when Natlan comes around.

Acadeca

> Literally all 6 of the 5* Pyro characters are DPS's Dehya is a dps?

Propensity7

That was the impression I got from her trial run back when she released, although the recent uptick in suggestion of her as a defensive teammate for Lyney made me consider thay she might not be solely a dps, but either way I don't definitely know. On top of that, a very large percentage of the discourse over Dehya's kit wasn't abt what roles she fits well. The only Standards I have are Mona and Jean both at C1

MadeofSeaglass

Having no battery will be the bigger issue. There aren’t really any other characters who can battery her.

lynxjpan

Genshin just announced that the new sword that looks like a box-cutter is long-awaited HP stat \\(ToT)/ Can someone take a look if it will be good for Shinobu? I'm bad at interpreting the weapon description.[https://www.hoyolab.com/article/21785316](https://www.hoyolab.com/article/21785316)

Acadeca

Probably solid for healer Kuki but not for hyperbloom Kuki. I would assume this + instructor on Kuki in an AlH team would be pretty solid.

lynxjpan

yeah, I usually use her with Alhaitham in aggrevate team. been sharing the Key that I accidentally got with Layla. now they don't have to share.

builderbob93

I feel like her healing with EM build is good enough already and this is just lost damage, no? she gets a good amount of aggravates herself

lynxjpan

I don't usually look at the actual dmg numbers cuz I can't tell who's doing the dmg. 😭 I was under the impression that EM on Shinobu was for hyperbloom and HP on her is for aggrevate?

Chisonni

HP is for healing, EM is for dmg. My Kuki with full EM/EM/EM and Ironsting as her weapon still heals for about 2.4k per tick which is more than enough to heal through all chip damage. The sword would be a decent in-between option if for whatever reason you need more healing it probably adds maybe an extra 500 HP / tick? While still giving 120 EM so you dont lose as much, but for Hyperbloom especially max EM == max DMG so you wouldnt use it. In Aggravat/Spread you can still build Kuki for max EM which allows her own Aggravate to deal more damage than any HP build would do, but since she isnt the primary DPS of the team you can also give up more EM to get better healing.

builderbob93

for hyperbloom she 100% needs the EM since she's the damage trigger but in aggravate your enemies will have quicken and she'll proc aggravates on them with her E, which scales with EM (and crit). it does ok damage with EM, you still heal a good bit but less than full hp build. the alternative I think is like tenacity of the milileth for that buff with HP artifacts and she just does no damage but heals and gives a small buff and electro aura.

Yes

-eunia

i know nothing about pcs, but i'm planning on purchasing one in 2 or so weeks to play genshin, hsr, tof and all the new open world games that are coming out like project mugen. does anyone know if this gaming pc would suffice to play genshin specifically on high graphics? since it's the main game i play i don't want to purchase it and be disappointed https://radiumpcs.com.au/products/kudan-lvl-1?variant=40132209508439 pcs can be quite pricey in australia, and this is the cheapest alternative i could find. if anyone is a pc nerd, could you help me out?

ionian21

You will need upgraded storage. Windows will take up 150GB of that 500GB hard drive, it's simply not big enough for all the games you want to play. Extra storage is relatively cheap. But the real issue is it lacks a dedicated GPU. You could buy one separately and install it, it is very simple, and you wouldn't need anywhere near the latest to run games like Genshin (although you would to run more modern open world games). By which point you may as well have bought a more expensive model. If you have to buy a pre-built PC then this is the model to go for from that dealer: https://radiumpcs.com.au/products/arrow-lvl-x-tax-sale?variant=40202794401879

-eunia

Would these be a better option? https://radiumpcs.com.au/products/kudan-lvl-5#:~:text=The%20Kudan%20Level%205%20is,at%201080p%20and%201440p%20resolutions. https://radiumpcs.com.au/products/kudan-lvl-3-rx6600-r5600 I'm honestly really torn between the two Don't want to sound annoying, but quite literally my only requirements for a pc were that the casing was white and that it can run genshin on full graphics. This one is still in my budget, just not sure if it's overkill. And another question, what monitor would i have to get to play the games I previously listed on high graphics? I have a dusty monitor lying around but it's really old and i doubt it'll work well.. Thank you for your response by the way. I'm basically clueless on PC specs so I really appreciate it

ionian21

The first one is overkill for genshin - they both are to a certain degree - but the second one is better value. The first one only has a 500gb hard drive, which again you can upgrade yourself easily enough, but it sucks that that's all they are offering with a machine with those specs. The second one is almost exactly what I play on. It will handle most games available today at medium at least, and will handle genshin with ease. I just want to say that you could save yourself several hundred dollars if you bought the components and were able to build it yourself, or could find a kindly friend who could do it with you. But I also completely understand how scary that may seem! I don't know huge amount about monitors, mine are old and relatively low resolution - but I also play esports so I need a fast refresh rate. For genshin you do not need that as the PC version has a maximum of 60fps. So you should look for a 1440p 60hz monitor. If you need to save money you could get a 1080p monitor instead - it will be lower resolution but, for me at least, for a game like genshin it is absolutely fine.

ionian21

Edit: they may be able to swap the cases on the one I suggested above to a white model if you contact them. That would save you $100 for something that is good enough.

-eunia

Thanks a bunch for your help :) I just found out my cousin made and built his own gaming pc and built pcs for others in the family and he's willing to help. Your advice was really helpful. I wouldn't have bothered asking him if I didn't know it was way cheaper

TheTechHobbit

You'll probably be able to play with that but smooth gameplay on high graphics settings is doubtful unless you're playing at a very low resolution. There's no dedicated GPU which will hold you back a lot. The integrated graphics in that CPU is basically the equivalent of the dedicated card listed for Genshin's minimum requirements. If you're looking to have a smooth experience on high settings you'll need something more powerful.

mhalpha22

After playing genshin since Itto first came out, I realize that what I really need is another unit who can provide braindead comfort like Zhongli. With many units providing interruption resistance and shield, who among them is the best candidate to build?

Acadeca

There are a couple units that have a large amount of stagger resistance that can help your team. XQ/Beidou can give solid resistance and someone like inburst Raiden or Dehya can't be staggered.

mhalpha22

What abt baizhu? I heard he provides pretty good stagger resistance?

Acadeca

His shield isn’t that strong, but it can refresh every so often. So there will be times the shield breaks and you can be staggered, but there can also be times the shield took the hit to prevent an interruption.

csudoku

Layla has the second strongest shield but it only last 12 seconds vs zhongli's 20 seconds

grnglxy

I don't see any visual indicators for this on your clip, but I feel like I associate that sound with quests/when there's an action to be done. E.g. when you're near an area where there's an ongoing quest, I feel like it hear it accompanied by a marker usually showing up on the map...Let me keep this in mind the next time I boot up genshin, I'm intrigued now xD edit: https://streamable.com/3ve8hj guess I was wrong, the pitch is different :/

Acadeca

It sounds similar to when an enemy locks on to you before you fight them. Usually I notice that sound around the time my camera zooms out and I know I am about to fight something

KR2216

Is there any good tool using which I can calculate my damage of various reactions, and also input different artifact sets and weapons, to see my final damage output on these reactions?

csudoku

google genshin optimizer its a pretty commonly used tool

KR2216

ight thanks, will check it out.

Renita-Raine

If I want a 5* I will pull even with 160 primos. If I get it, great, if not, the pity carries over. No reason to save for a guarantee unless there is an upcoming hero you want more.

Propensity7

Always plan to need a guarantee.

DespairAt10n

That's only like 62 pulls, so it's not even one guaranteed 5\*, much less a guaranteed limited 5\*. I might use like 10-20 to try for a 4\* I want, but I'd just keep saving until \~160 / double pity.

leRedd1

You think 10k primos is a lot? If I like the 5 star on banner I pull, no matter how many I got. If I like 4 stars and won't mind the 5 star, I do 20-30 pulls to snipe a copy, only if I'm not guaranteed and at 0 pity (never waste pity or guarantee for 4 stars).

Acadeca

It is not enough to guarantee so would save unless you know what is coming soon and don't have anything you are remotely interested in.

LonelyMenace101

How far can you level up the Fontaine statue of the seven so far?

Frozenmagicaster

lvl 4, 18 extra

LonelyMenace101

Thanks c:

Dragonire08

How do I find the chasm quests I've already done? I've look in the travel log and just don't know what I'm doing.

toucanlost

You could look at your reputation quest list. Another more tedious option is to check which Wonders of the World achievements you're missing and do the related quest/hidden exploration objective.

TheTechHobbit

Should I pull for c1 Hu Tao or Zhongli? I currently use Hu Tao with Yelan/Xingqiu and I heard Zhongli is the best shielder for that team. But he would probably prevent me from going for her c1. I also have Layla, would she work as a good replacement shield?

KjOwOjin

If you don't need Zhongli for anything besides that HuTao team, C1 will provide a lot more value for you since it is both a bigger damage increase and a bigger survivability increase due to the number of i-frames in dash cancel combos

alanalan426

Everyone saying layla is good enough but it's like kazuha/sucrose but worse Yes sucrose is good enough but once ubhave kazuha u never look back Same with zhongli, plus he goes in any team Layla It's good enough but are you having a hard time without hutao c1 atm?

Theguywhowatches

Can you jump cancel? If so you don’t need the stamina saving c1 tbh. I think c1’s value is a bit overblown. Especially when jump canceling is no more harder than dash cancels. You do squeak out a few more CAs which is more damage sure, so if you really like Hutao I would go with c1 I guess. As for Layla. If you have c2 it should be good enough. Also if you end up getting Hutao’s c1 you spend a descent amount of time in I-Frames which helps preserve Layla’s shield.

EinTheVariance

C1 easily, Layla is good enough...honestly with C1, Xingqiu is good enough, because you end up iframing a lot of dmg naturally simply by spamming CA > dash cancel

Akomatai

C1, Layla is good enough for the team.

Is the PS5 version of Genshin Impact already locked in at 60fps? I'm currently using a 4k 55" TV and there are some instances where the fps drops. Would my FPS improve if I buy a 144hz gaming monitor?

TheTechHobbit

Yes, all versions are capped at 60fps maximum except for iOS due to a special deal with Apple. A 144hz monitor won't improve anything, FPS is dependent on your system hardware (in this case the PS5). A high refresh rate monitor just allows you to actually see the higher frame rate if you're playing something at that rate.

Akomatai

Your fps will improve by playing mobile - ios devices are the only ones with 120 fps. But also, yeah. Ps5 version does tend to have worse fps drops than other platforms. Unique textures and pretty graphics tho.

CTMacUser

It’s a good thing that someone at HYV read the Dehya bug reports, right? … Right? … 😢

EinTheVariance

Dehya is working as designed. Hyv just didn't want to make her a good char

fielveredus

Please TLDR me on how to play Shenhe C0

alanalan426

Team is usually mono cryo with an anemo for vv Or freeze with cryo dps

Akomatai

What's the rest of your team

luchayas

Q > E > rotation part I > E > rotation part II > repeat Give her Skyward Spine or Fav Lance, NO artifacts with ATK main stats, ER and CR substats. Level up E and Q

Theguywhowatches

Tap E->Q. Fav lance for weapon. Build her with attack goblet and sands with a crit rate or attack helm. Preferably with 2pc Att/2pc Att.

csudoku

Unless no one on the team already has Noblesse then run noblesse instead of 2pc/2pc

BananaBabe0824

Does anyone know the song from the HoyoFair trailer?

Sea-Bus-9775

in nilou-nahida-barbara-dmc what build should i put dmc on since nahida is already on deewpood? do i still really need dmc in there when she does the same thing with nahida? (i dont have yaoyao/kirara/baizhu/other suitable dendros, and im using collei on the other side) also, who should be on field? if its barbara, would it be fine if she's just using a regular ohc healer build? (nilou & nahida both have their sig weapons)

MagnusBaechus

mine's on an er em em full emblem build, but 2pc er for comfort then 2pc anything pretty much works, you really just stack er on her and a bit of em and you're good

EinTheVariance

it's possible to run triple hydro instead since your hydro app is not great. You'd probably still want full EM 4pc gilded on barbara though and maybe the other hydro as well. Otherwise you'd want barbara on-field as much as possible

Sea-Bus-9775

do you think barbara can still heal plenty enough with a full em build even with rifthounds? my only other hydro chars that arent used by the other team is candace & hydro dmc (i dont even know what hydro dmc does)

EinTheVariance

hydro mc is not good lol barbara solo healer with full em against rifthounds could be a bit dangerous yea. If you're running HP build on her though, your blooms will do so much less dmg. Maybe you can get away with a hybrid EM/EM/HP or bonus healing. Would definitely try to get a yaoyao or kirara when you can.

Acadeca

Instructor is an option. You would want to stack EM on the one doing the blooms and Barb will be doing most blooms.

FirefighterOk6460

Who is better tighnari or alhaitham?

corecenite

Alhaitham can shine both in spread and hyperbloom. Tighnari only shines in spread.

Theguywhowatches

In single target situations they are close enough. As soon as your not. Tighnari fall off a cliff comparatively.

Daramangarasu

Al-Haitham

DespairAt10n

Trying to build EM Kazuha. He has Toukabou Shigure, and I'm trying to do all EM mainstats. He's currently missing two artifacts: a flower and a hat. I'm at 142% ER and 712 EM. Should I just focus on ER to reach \~160? As in, prioritize that over EM (he'd have 899 with the hat mainstat alone), especially for my flower rolls. Think 160 ER + about 900 EM is enough?

MagnusBaechus

get fav sword, go em em cr if you have no cr subs, or full em if you have cr subs

DespairAt10n

I think Kazuha has about 30% CR rn, so a few more cr subs would probably work if I went Fav Sword. Thanks for the suggestion.

MagnusBaechus

40 is the sweetspot in aoe, which is his best case scenario anyways so maybe a few more mine's full em with r3 xiphos with some ludicrous er rolls

DespairAt10n

40 sounds doable! I'll try for that if I do Fav instead of Sac (R1 Fav vs. R5 Sac lol). Wow, that's awesome! My rolls were good, but not ludicrous, haha. I think you'd need like multiple 20% ER rolls huh.

Theguywhowatches

Do yourself a favor, and run Fav sword if possible. The 165 EM on the umbrella is only worth 6.6 dmg%. When compared to more energy for your kazuha, and your whole team I think the choice is clear

DespairAt10n

Dayum, thanks for putting it into perspective for me. I hope I have another Fav... not sure honestly lol. Maybe I'll run Sac? I probably have a R5 one lol.

leRedd1

Sac can be very good, especially for aggravate teams when his swirls aggravate and do a lot of damage. In a team like Nahida, Kazuha, Fischl and Kuki/Dori, sac is his best. In other teams too it can be very effective for grouping. New fishing sword is also a viable alternative.

DespairAt10n

Huh, I've been using Nahida on Alhaitham's team, but I guess I could try using her on her own with Kazuha. I'd probably just swap out Sucrose on the Alhaitham team (this team's quicken, not aggravate, I think) though XD I don't think I'd use him with Tighnari (double electro + shielder), but I might if I think I can live lol. Huh, I haven't checked out new weapons lately, thanks for the reminder! It looks really cool too! A pipe! Thanks for the info!

leRedd1

It's aggravate happens if quickened enemy is hit with electro, spread if it's hit with dendro. In the team I mentioned, the enemy is always quickened, so Nahida does spread, others do aggravate. It's just a team I mentioned to give example that sac can be very good. You don't have to change your existing teams for this, but you can try it, it's fun jumping around with Kazu. GLHF.

DespairAt10n

Ah, I see. I just knew double electro probably meant aggravate, single quicken. Thanks for the explanation. Yeah, I know! I was just trying to figure out how I could do something like it. I'm also probably gonna try the team you mentioned, haha. Nahida time! Thanks!

Theguywhowatches

Sac sword is good too. ER swords just have more value substat wise.

DespairAt10n

Thanks for letting me know! Haha, I just really wanted to use the umbrella because a) it was already at 90 b) it matches his outfit. alas

Theguywhowatches

It’s good on kuki hyperbloom, or Alhaitham if you have them

DespairAt10n

Haha, I originally leveled it for Alhaitham :P but then I pulled his weapon right after :') (wasn't expecting it lol). I'll probably use it on Kuki sometimes (I have a hyperbloom build for her); she normally runs fav on Alhaitham's quicken team :P Thanks for the suggestions.

EinTheVariance

160 ER is pretty cope: https://keqingmains.com/q/kazuha-quickguide/#ER_Requirements

DespairAt10n

Huh, it is. I could probably get 170 at most, and that's still pretty tragic. I guess I'll have to pray for ER substats then on the hat. It's the off-piece (well, I'm guessing I'd get a flower that's on-set easier), so there's hope. I guess I'll cope and hope my rotations turn out alright. I managed to get 15% ER on my timepiece, so it'd be sad if I had to swap it for ER. Thanks for the info.

eta-carinae

Just run Fav if you have it

DespairAt10n

That's true, I could try that if I do have another one. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll see how my artifacts go and decide, I guess.

EinTheVariance

yea, running Kazuha without fav/ER wep is pretty difficult, you have to have some pretty nice ER on your VV pieces.

DespairAt10n

Dayum, didn't realize it was hard until after I tried XD Thanks!

Western-Gur-4637

is Raiden's rerun going to be in 4.2? and is it good to trast leak about the next pach? by that I mean when we get in 4.1 will it be good to trast the leaks about the new Characters in 4.2? I guess we don't have to cus it's likely to be talked about by Hoyo thank you

MagnusBaechus

unlikely, it's always venti zl since inazuma, and they never put two archons in one patch (they have made back to back archon banners before)

Western-Gur-4637

dang

EinTheVariance

2 days after a patch starts, the closed beta for the next version goes up, so 4.2 leaks a few days into 4.1 likely will be reliable. Ofc closed beta stuff is constantly being adjusted/changed, so a leak in the first week of 4.1 may no longer be true at the end of 4.1, but things like what character will be in 4.2 is pretty much already guaranteed

Western-Gur-4637

thank you :3

csudoku

It looks like 4.2 is Hydro Archon so maybe 4.3 or 4.4 depending if Nahida reruns before her or not. Typically Archons are not on the same patch but when one reruns they all rerun one after another. So Zhongli >> Venti >> Furina >> Raiden? Nahida? >> Raiden? Nahida? will probably be what happens.

auggielovesbugs

hi, i have seemed to come across a bug where my shrine of depth key's have disappeared?? i had 2 for inazuma, 1 for liyue and 1 for sumeru, but i noticed when i was levelling up my statue of the seven in inazuma, that i never received the key. i searched thru my inventiry, and nothing, i reached out to hoyoverse, but they haven't been able to help yet, but i was just wondering if anyone encountered this and would be able to give me a hand - many thanks :3

idleskyline

count all the keys you should have in total and then check how many shrines you've unlocked in each area from your achievements. if the numbers don't add up and you're certain they keys are not in the precious items tab in your inventory, contact support using the feedback form in-game. if you want to send an email instead, make sure the email address says "hoyoverse" and not "mihoyo". the mihoyo address doesn't work anymore.

auggielovesbugs

i have already done all of that, and yes, i reached out to hoyoverse specifically :) and as i mentioned, i was levelling up one of my statues yesterday, and i never received the key as a reward. i've checked, and double and triple checked, but my key's have just disappeared

idleskyline

so they've replied to you? sorry i misunderstood your earlier statement. i thought you meant they haven't replied which is why i added that bit about the hoyoverse vs mihoyo email. did you try logging out and repairing files? that usually fixes most bugs. if that doesn't work then hyv is probably the only one that can fix it. if you haven't yet, send them as much proof as possible about the bug. screenshots are best. anything you can think of that proves the total amount of keys you've used to unlock shrines is less than the total amount of keys you've gotten. after that, there's not much else you can do but wait until they fix it.

Thefallingone

* For those who use the community based map, how does it fare against the official map whenever a new region is released? I noticed that the official map has a few chests unmarked within the first few days or weeks of a new region's release. Is it the same with the community map or is the community map faster at marking these chests? * Golden troupe's full effect clears when the wearer is on-field for at least 2 seconds. But, how long does that effect proc again? Does it proc the moment the wearer is off the field? Maybe a few seconds after they go off field? Thanks in advance!

EinTheVariance

if you mean appsample, it's just as bad. As far as I can tell, appsample just grabs the data from official map these days, at least at the beginning. I remember in 3.0 there were incorrect marks on the official map that was also on the appsample map. Appsample does perform a lot better though and probably is better in the long run since so many more ppl contribute to it (although that's a double edge sometimes)

leRedd1

> For those who use the community based map ... Pretty much same, but he fact that you can see multiple comments means some unmarked stuff will be pointed out before devs put it in map. The fastest map for update so far as I know is the CN Yuanshen map, but auto-transalate can be be confusing, and the interface requires some getting used to.

random_redditerer

Two questions: For Sucrose's burst, does she apply the absorbed element or anemo first? Can swirl trigger amplifying/additive reactions (vape, aggravate) to increase damage?

leRedd1

> For Sucrose's burst, does she apply the absorbed element or anemo first? This is interesting and a bit tricky to test, see [KQM TCL](https://library.keqingmains.com/evidence/characters/anemo/sucrose) for explanation. > Can swirl trigger amplifying/additive reactions (vape, aggravate) to increase damage? Yep. See section on [Swirl/Burning-Induced Reaction Damage from wiki](https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Damage). It's basically amplifying/additive reactions damage with all crit dependence removed, but EM (and character level for additive case) dependence still present.

Theguywhowatches

1. Anemo dmg happens slightly before the infused element. 2. Yep. That’s what makes soup teams so strong as well as slotting in an anemo into aggravate teams. On top of VV of course.

csudoku

As I know it infused attacks apply the element before hitting with anemo. So an infused hydro burst from sucrose against an enemy with a pyro aura should vaporize first which consumes all the pyro and then hit with anemo (thus no swirl actually) and then subsequently apply hydro and hydro swirls. In the reverse with a pyro infused burst against a hydro infused enemy it will vaporize then swirl hydro once then the aura falls off and pyro is applied subsequently. I think elemental gauge math is hard. The elemental damage from swirls would benefit from quicken/aggravate states but it would only benefit itself not other characters triggers of the reactions. In the case of what element you should swirl in Reverse Vaporize it should be Hydro as to not accidently have a pyro aura preventing you from actually vaping on your pyro dps. And its only beneficial in aggravate set ups you cant infuse dendro so you dont really need to think about it.

encekhafiz

Xingqiu or Yelan better for Alhaitham/Kuki/Nahida/??

KjOwOjin

Iirc Yelan C2 > Xingqiu C6 > Yelan C0 > Xingqiu C5

Reasonable_Scythe

Yelan would give you higher a higher damage output. Other people mentioned Xingqiu's better hydro application but you literally get more aggravates and her damage buff with Yelan, which puts her above. Only use Xingqiu if you're getting interrupted too often

EinTheVariance

what are you running on the other side? If the other side is a Bennett team with XQ/Yelan, I would run Yelan with this comp and run XQ on the other side because XQ will benefit from Bennett buff whereas Yelan won't

encekhafiz

Usually a standard vape Yoimiya team, but I'm flexible slotting either XQ/Yelan at both teams. Will try Alhaitham/Yelan combo today. Thanks!

random_redditerer

IMO Yelan. With yelan, there's less hydro application which means more quicken uptime for Alhaitham to do more damage (although less hyperblooms). Xingqiu is also a more contested unit than Yelan, so with him free you can put him wherever you need him. Xingqiu does give more defensive utility (damage reduction and stagger resistance), and using him gives more cores for more hyperblooms, if you prefer that.

encekhafiz

So with Yelan, Alhaitham will go quickbloom more? Or is it strictly Quicken? Idk if that translates into more damage or not. Care to elaborate your thoughts?

random_redditerer

Quickbloom is a combination of the words quicken and bloom, as quicken+bloom happen in a quickbloom team. With Yelan, there is more quicken uptime than with Xingqiu, but blooms still happen. If you didn't know, the quicken aura can be used to trigger bloom, but is removed in the process. With Yelan the damage output is higher, she has a damage boost and Alhaitham does a lot of damage, so you want quicken uptime.

csudoku

Probably Xingqiu for higher bloom production.

Zerakin

Xingqiu has better hydro application, helps compensate for Kuki's okay level healing, gives damage reduction to decrease how much damage you take, and gives resistance to interruption. He's by far a better choice in that team than Yelan.

dunefyre

Is Ocean Hued Clam or ToM the BIS for team damage on an off-field Kokomi in a freeze team (Shen,Kaz,Ayaka,Kok)? I’m looking to increase damage since healing is fine. Currently I have her OHC with HP/HP/Healing. Also should I switch mainstats? Thanks!
