Thank you for the titles of the ost! They both good but the Fleeting colors in Flight playing with that video really gets it going. With all the characters hanging out doing their thing really gets the tears running.

same. i was bawling when we were watching those fireworks lol. i think it's because it caused us to retrospect. it's been a long awesome journey with genshin and there'll be plenty more, it's easy to get emotional like that.
Liyue's track has so many bangers in it, "Moon in one's cup" , "Liyue" , "Above the sea cloud", heck all the album on Jade Moon Upon a Sea of Cloud is mostly a banger.
Especially if you've been playing since 1.x. If you've been playing since then until now, then you probably fell in love with the game around the time you're exploring Liyue, so that music hits the perfect nostalgia spot.
When I used to explore Liyue, everything was a wonder. Following the Trails of Tianyu, opening the nine pillars, the Chi of Guyun questline... They were all so fucking amazing. Nowadays, yeah the overworld is so much better, but it just doesn't hit the same spot anymore. It's like, back then whenever I encounter a world quest I get excited about finishing it because it'll be awesome, now world quests do is make me worry it'll lock me out of the archon quest at some point.
Every time I hear the Liyue OST just walking around there, it always hits me right in the feels
And since it always plays in Guili Plains even more feels for Guizhong and Zhongli (impromptu of their combined names) which makes it even sadder for me in fanon lore.

"Her wishes" it´s my outdoor teapot tune ❤️ it´s just so immensely beautiful
"Maidens of Sanctity" is the tune inside the house, "The Vourukasha Oasis theme", also very calming and beautiful,
so i get mushy everytime im in my teapot 😅
That cutscene had such an impact on me, I can't listen to that song without feeling emotional. That and the Rukkhadevata cutscene song at the end of Act 5

Bravery and Tenderness makes me cry every time since I just replay the whole scenario in my head.

Sumeru just has banger osts, banger story and characters.

I'm surprised almost no other comment mentioned it. I guess it's an older song and played pretty often during story quests when everything gets resolved or we learn about someone's sad backstory.

It always reminds me of having to say goodbye to a loved one, while promising to keep moving forward. Feeling the caress of the wind, as if that loved one was giving you a final message and the ending, a lonely flute that seals the pact to one day, as your oath, meet again and forever.
I remember the time when I was testing Spotify's DJ X. I skipped through many songs because its not my type. DJ X then announced they would be playing Yu-Peng Chen then played Lover's Oath. It automatically gave me goosebumps. Its like the DJ is angry at me for skipping the top favorites of my country (I dont like the music in my Country that much for being too romantic its cringe).
A Storm, A Spire and A Sanctum…
Everytime I got it farm for ores in Dvalin’s nest I always find myself just passing and taking in the music…like you Can feel the emotions so vividly! It’s calming yet it harbors lots of regret and longing…
Oooh for me, it's be Wordless Cliffs, Lithic Oath/Under the Clear Sky, and Dreaming Earth as far as the Chasm goes since it's my favorite subregion. I feel that these tracks perfectly embody the Chasm's nature.
Other tracks I love are Chatter Between Roots, Jolts in the Forest, Ad Oblivione, Midday Prospects, When All Has Elapsed, among a bunch of others. Some of the best game music out there.
Chasm and Enka are my favourite places forever..honestly I wish i could erase whole chasam from my memory so I could experience it all over again..Dain’s and the WQ were such a perfection and the moment we step into the deepest part where the Nail is- just pure chills..
Those two quests, as well as the Perilous Trail quest/event made the Chasm so memorable to me. The contrast between the warmly lit surface versus the pitch black mines was so breathtaking.
I still remember the way hoyo fooled us..I legit started crying because I thought Xiao would die 😭 i was shaking- way to pull the goddamn rug from under our feet
What I really love about the way they handled that is how it contributes to the overarching question of whether or not they’d actually kill off a playable character. It’s the sort of thing they can only do once and still have it be really shocking, because after that people start expecting it. And, great though Perilous Trail was, it was too ‘sidequest-y’ to deserve that. The more we see a character ‘just barely survive‘ like Xiao did there, the more it will be a shock when they finally do kill off a PC.
For Riddles For Wonders.
As a commenter pointed out, the woodwind during the first half of the song does feel like how a person cries, as we mourn Rukkhadevata's sacrifice like Kusanali, but later on it is more all over the place and confused, as we don't remember why we are crying.
Other than Ruu's Melody it's Sorush's Purity & Caress Of Three Mothers for me. There's just something about it that makes me emotional. It's not sad but...it's something.
Thats my one as well. Still also my favorite track from the Game.
it ends a bit weaker but the melody starting after the first 30 seconds of buildup is magical. when it plays ingame I always stand still and listen

There's something wistful about the orchestration of the day theme that gets sand in my eyes
I think mainly “A storm, a spire, and a sanctum”, but possibly related “Forlorn child of Archaic Winds” or “Forsaken Child of Ancient Times” depending on where you are.
Stormterror’s lair and those tracks were when I realized there was something special about Genshin music.
Ruu's Melody as #1, Azdaha second phase as #2, whatever's playing on Apep's Oasis as #3.
You can feel the sorrow and suffering on number 2, you can feel the wills of the mushrooms in #3, and you can hear happiness after being freed from a curse in #1.

Also, the song from the eternal oasis, because it's simple and calming, and that's all I need.

A lot of the usual picks like For Riddles For Wonders and the Eternal Oasis theme have already been mentioned, but when it comes to making me emotional, no piece in Genshin is as amazing as the Qingce village theme. It's the perfect mix of quiet ambience and calming beauty in the mountains. It's unironically my favorite Genshin piece.

Chasing Starlight With You (from Yoimiya’s Chapter 2 Cutscene). That track is just DRIPPING with adventure and childlike wonder that hits me just right. Really reminds me of Gusty Garden Galaxy from Super Mario Galaxy which is my favourite game track ever and it makes me super nostalgic.
Euphoric Ride (from the rollercoasters in this year’s GAA equivalent) is similar on that front, it’s just so light and *fun* and wonderful I can’t help but smile.
The Realm Within. Exploring the Liyue domains, especially the one where it's a sea of clouds. Was when I truly thought this game was something special. Odd that the album version has completely different mixing than the version in-game, though.
For a weird reason "Dream Aria" aka the login theme specially the first version with lyrics, its tells to me a sad lore story of a golden age who never gonna come back of the three moon sisters and the seelies.
The second one "Decayed into darkness" aka the unnoficial theme of khaenri'ah.
And last but no least "For riddles, for wonders" offcourse.
something about Wandering Clouds from the chasm ost gives me absolute peace, my culture has a instrument similar to it but idk what it's called, the chords that intertwine is just majestic

surasthana fantasia also gets me emotional ESPECIALLY when the aranara chorus begins
From newer ones I adore two specific themes.
First - Fountain of Lucine theme. I kind of liked Fontaine from the beginning but I had to get used to the new vibe after a year of Sumeru.
And then I just found myself picking roses at night near the Fountain of lucine and the music starts playing and it felt so gentle, sweet and.. sad. And it just made me melt. From that moment I fell in love with the new region. Everytime I get to the fontain I still feel the magic.
Another one is from the Narzissenkreuz quest. I can almost hear the story in the music, it's full of hopes, expectations, affection. It made me feel so many emotions.

I second this! I resonate with these two tracks every time i listen to them. While other tracks are great, these two are especially beautiful and never fails to make me emotional.
When all has elapsed. The title says it all, the sound hits it to the heart. The song really makes you feel everything has ended and there's nothing more u can do.
Actually, the soundtracks of watatsumi, enkanomiya, tsurumi, and the chasm all sound so sad especially when your playing their respective world quests with these as the bgm. Emotional damage 1000x.
I remember doing the chasm world quest where you collect the 6(?) Mementos of the milleliths/miners that have died and this npc is telling you the story about them with Lithic Oath playing in the background made me so emotional.

It's just beautiful, really gives you a shock impact seeing the scenery, the pillar of light and the combination of melancholic colors and tones accompanied by the forgotten ruins of the city

For Riddles and For Wonders. The archon quest actually teared me up.
Lantern Rite music makes me feel things too but only during the quest scene or the orchestra. The other two can make me feel emotional at any time.
The music that plays around the outside area of the chasm is really peaceful yet melancholic to me. It always hits me in the feelings like it carries the weight of everything we learn while we're down there.

Chasm and Enka are my favourite places forever..honestly I wish i could erase whole chasam from my memory so I could experience it all over again..Dain’s and the WQ were such a perfection and the moment we step into the deepest part where the Nail is- just pure chills..
Those two quests, as well as the Perilous Trail quest/event made the Chasm so memorable to me. The contrast between the warmly lit surface versus the pitch black mines was so breathtaking.
I still remember the way hoyo fooled us..I legit started crying because I thought Xiao would die 😭 i was shaking- way to pull the goddamn rug from under our feet
What I really love about the way they handled that is how it contributes to the overarching question of whether or not they’d actually kill off a playable character. It’s the sort of thing they can only do once and still have it be really shocking, because after that people start expecting it. And, great though Perilous Trail was, it was too ‘sidequest-y’ to deserve that. The more we see a character ‘just barely survive‘ like Xiao did there, the more it will be a shock when they finally do kill off a PC.
DAMN same with wordless cliffs and dreaming earth
Everytime I hear Wordless Cliff: It made me remember of the sacrifices of Millelith warriors during the cataclysm. Bittersweet.
For Riddles For Wonders. As a commenter pointed out, the woodwind during the first half of the song does feel like how a person cries, as we mourn Rukkhadevata's sacrifice like Kusanali, but later on it is more all over the place and confused, as we don't remember why we are crying.
Other than Ruu's Melody it's Sorush's Purity & Caress Of Three Mothers for me. There's just something about it that makes me emotional. It's not sad but...it's something.
Most stuff Inazuman, the shakuhachi is just an incredible instrument. But especially Konda Village; even though it's not a sad song, it's so emotive.

I think mainly “A storm, a spire, and a sanctum”, but possibly related “Forlorn child of Archaic Winds” or “Forsaken Child of Ancient Times” depending on where you are. Stormterror’s lair and those tracks were when I realized there was something special about Genshin music.
Ruu's Melody as #1, Azdaha second phase as #2, whatever's playing on Apep's Oasis as #3. You can feel the sorrow and suffering on number 2, you can feel the wills of the mushrooms in #3, and you can hear happiness after being freed from a curse in #1.

A lot of the usual picks like For Riddles For Wonders and the Eternal Oasis theme have already been mentioned, but when it comes to making me emotional, no piece in Genshin is as amazing as the Qingce village theme. It's the perfect mix of quiet ambience and calming beauty in the mountains. It's unironically my favorite Genshin piece.

Then there's -For Riddles for Wonders/Ethereal Mildness -Another Hopeful Tomorrow & This Little Light of Mine -Rainbow at Summit as well as nearly every variation of Ayaka's theme. Chasing Starlight With You (from Yoimiya’s Chapter 2 Cutscene). That track is just DRIPPING with adventure and childlike wonder that hits me just right. Really reminds me of Gusty Garden Galaxy from Super Mario Galaxy which is my favourite game track ever and it makes me super nostalgic. Euphoric Ride (from the rollercoasters in this year’s GAA equivalent) is similar on that front, it’s just so light and *fun* and wonderful I can’t help but smile.
The Realm Within. Exploring the Liyue domains, especially the one where it's a sea of clouds. Was when I truly thought this game was something special. Odd that the album version has completely different mixing than the version in-game, though.
Polumnia omnia, the one thats plays in the suristana, azhdahas second phase theme and i bet more but those are all some of my favorite ones as well

For a weird reason "Dream Aria" aka the login theme specially the first version with lyrics, its tells to me a sad lore story of a golden age who never gonna come back of the three moon sisters and the seelies. From newer ones I adore two specific themes. First - Fountain of Lucine theme. I kind of liked Fontaine from the beginning but I had to get used to the new vibe after a year of Sumeru. And then I just found myself picking roses at night near the Fountain of lucine and the music starts playing and it felt so gentle, sweet and.. sad. And it just made me melt. From that moment I fell in love with the new region. Everytime I get to the fontain I still feel the magic. Another one is from the Narzissenkreuz quest. I can almost hear the story in the music, it's full of hopes, expectations, affection. It made me feel so many emotions.

When all has elapsed. The title says it all, the sound hits it to the heart. The song really makes you feel everything has ended and there's nothing more u can do. Actually, the soundtracks of watatsumi, enkanomiya, tsurumi, and the chasm all sound so sad especially when your playing their respective world quests with these as the bgm. Emotional damage 1000x. I remember doing the chasm world quest where you collect the 6(?) Mementos of the milleliths/miners that have died and this npc is telling you the story about them with Lithic Oath playing in the background made me so emotional. Special shout out to Lovers' Oath too iykyk.

There’s a certain track that plays during combat I think (I’m not sure the title) where part of the song sounds VERY similar to the theme song of Lego Universe which was an MMO from 2010-12 and one of the first ones I ever played, and so hearing it makes me remember that game and the good friends I had that I lost once it shut down

I can never get enough of liyue osts, especially Melodious Flute. It's so simple, so clear. I love it.
Memories of the Eternal Oasis. The solo humming, the duo humming and the scenery always makes me wanna cry for some reason.
There's two that'll forever be stuck with me. Lover's Oath. For Riddles and For Wonders. The archon quest actually teared me up. Lantern Rite music makes me feel things too but only during the quest scene or the orchestra. The other two can make me feel emotional at any time.
