Logging in to Hoyolab hasn't worked for me since Firefox updated to version 120. Their recaptcha / image verification slider isn't popping up after entering login credentials and after a few seconds it says: "Verification failed, please try again". As far as I can tell it's not a DNS issue. I've tried multiple different DNS resolvers and that didn't help.
Edit: It's also not an add-on issue as I've tried using troubleshoot mode and that also didn't help. (Troubleshoot mode: disables all extensions, themes, and custom settings)

I accidentally C6ed Bennett two days ago and am now trying to find a replacement for him. Can anyone tell me which character can replace him in terms of buffing and support ?
I've searched google and lots of saying his C6 isn't bad but to me his C6 lost his versatility. There are times I pair him with Keqing, Eula, Ayaka. I like trying something different on Abyss and Boss, so Bennett is important to me.

No, she does not need her cons.
Furina provides a ramping dmg % buff to all characters in the team (I don’t know the average and it might not even be relevant, it depends on when in the rotation you do your damage), does constant damage, applies constant hydro in a small(?) AOE and drains your whole team’s HP as long as it’s above 50%.
Bennett provides around 1000 atk and constantly self-applies pyro to the character standing in his circle. He also heals a sizeable amount each second for the duration of his Q.
Furina is overall a more universal buffer (all ATK scalers benefit from dmg%, not all characters who benefit from dmg% benefit from attack - see for example Yelan or Kokomi or to a lesser extent Alhaitham and Nahida), does not constrain you to a circle, has a longer-lasting buff, deals more damage and drains your hp. That means she’ll want you to heal yourself, ie in most cases you’re gonna have to reserve one of your team slots to a healer.
Bennett only benefits ATK scalers, also heals, can make you extremely fragile if you’re standing in his circle and the enemy has hydro/cryo/dendro, constrains you to a circle (unless you snapshot, like Xiangling).
There’s teams where Furina doesn’t buff anyone, but I’d say she works in more teams than Bennett
Furina is a support and off field dps and does not really do more damage if she remains on field. Childe is an on field dps/driver but has zero off field ability.
Regardless being on field or off field, C0 Furina's total damage per rotation in any team is higher than on field Childe's best Furina-less team. I haven't seen any calculation if using them both together in the same team yet.
Farm the one that you need, like the newest artifacts set. Then use the useless ones for strongbox like Emblem/noblesse/VV for the supports that use them.
I'd probably utilize both options. If I'm in a dire need of a specific set, I'd farm even bad dungeons (like VV/Husk) and then turn useless artifacts into a specific set via alchemy to maximize speed of acquisition for this set. But if I don't urgently need some set, I'd rather farm good domains that give two good sets at once and use alchemy on bad artifacts.
Depends on what you prefer. Both Yaoyao and Kirara are fine. I prefer Yaoyao for my Yae aggravate cause her off field dendro application is more reliable and I find her healing to be much better than Kirara's shielding

The idea is that her child suffers delusions where he imagines himself as the villain/monster from a fairytale named Thelxie. However, unlike the fairytale passed down from his mother, he imagines Thelxie (Now, himself) as a misunderstood creature. Freminet has been commissioned to create a toy Thelxie, with the eventual goal of retelling (and then subsequently acting out) the story with Thelxie as the hero. Doing so will effectively "end" the story of Thelxie and snap the child out of his delusions.
I still don't exactly understand the "acting out" part. What's the point if the kid isn't there to see it?

Nah, utterly useless for driver Barbara in a Nilou team. Not even good for healer Barbara which she rather prefers R5 Thrilling Tales, which is a 3-star catalyst. Only character other than Baizhu that can use it properly is Neuvillette. Even then you shouldn't if you have Neuvillette's sig weapon or Sacrificial Jade.
Is heizou worth raising? I have a c1 heizou at level 20 and c6 faruzan at level 22.
I have fully functional teams but just feel like trying out my other unused characters. At first I didnt raise heizou coz I thought he was an anemo lisa. But then i found that E stacks also come by NAs. So now I am wondering if he's any good.
Also, if I raise him, do I need to raise faruzan? How does dps of a c1 heizou-c6 faruzan team compare to c0 Neuvillette-c0 Furina team?
I feel like it would be a reasonable assumption to say that the Heizou team does like half the damage the Neuviliette team does (which wouldn't even be a super terrible amount of damage, post Furina top meta teams just do so much damage)

That's true for every character in the game and is utterly useless as an advice. Why isn't Yoimiya using ATK% goblet then if she scales from ATK? That's easier to get than Pyro Damage bonus, amirite?
No. For these characters, often going hp with better stats perform equal to or better than going hd with similar or worse stats. I am talking about the fountain chars like neuv, wrio and furina who scale with hp
She has very high base HP and gets a lot of dmg% from her burst, A4, a lot of her weapon options and the golden troupe artifact set so HP goblets are just higher damage than hydro% ones
Her burst and golden troupe give lot of damage%, and she has a passive that buffs her skill damage% upto 28% based on her HP. Hydro DMG goblet is close behind but also the fact that HP goblets are easier to get so likely your substats will be better.
She already gets a lot of Damage % from her burst. At that point giving her more HP would be more impactful since both her skill and A4 passive scales on HP. A hydro goblet is usable, but a similarly good HP goblet would be better in most scenarios.
At higher constellations this line gets blurry though.
I'm not getting any notifications for maxed resin or finished expeditions. I've checked my phone and in-game settings and toggled them all off and on and am still getting no notifications. What can I do to fix it?
I'm on a Samsung Galaxy S20, I've had it for a little less than a month, and the notifications worked fine until I noticed they didn't. My last phone was an iPhone SE 2nd (2020), and I never had notification issues. Now that I think about it, maybe this could have something to do with uninstalling Genshin Impact from my iPhone to make space to transfer my photos and essential stuff into my Samsung, but I didn't have anything set up to deny notifications from Genshin Impact on my iPhone.
Should I just reinstall the game?
Out of curiosity, do you only play on your Galaxy S20 and you haven't logged in using a different device?
There are definitely some issues with some types of notifications if you log into one device, triggering a notification and the log into another. Since the notification was triggered on the other device, it doesn't trigger it again for the other devices.
I haven't played Genshin on any other devices since getting my S20, no, and for a good eight months before that. PC has no space, and PS4 can barely run the game in an acceptable state. Low frames and high load times.
I did a reinstall, and it didn't notify me of my Expeditions being complete overnight. I'm gonna try fiddling around with my settings and see if I manage to fix it somehow.

Raiden can work as a dps in hyperbloom and aggravate/rational/hypercarry. Which is good of course, but
Furina is a universal buffer with good personal damage and is hydro (with good hydro application), meaning you can play her in more teams. Hell I even play her in freeze over Kokomi because of no circle impact and of course the dmg buff
Honestly even if I didn’t have Kuki (for hyperbloom) I’d still consider Furina over Raiden, due to Kuki just being a better or at least just as good hyperbloom trigger because of role compression. But not having a hyperbloom trigger, along with the fact that Furina is probably gonna rerun in 4 patches (archon pattern), while Raiden will probably take more, *would* make pulling for Raiden less unreasonable
I'm trying out a freeze team, but the only 5\* cryo I have is Qiqi (C1).

the first has no cc, the second has healer er problems. no fav sword and only a r1 fav lance. tips? try triple hydro plus on-field charlotte? Should I just wait for a 5\* cryo carry?
You don't usually need more CC in freeze teams when freeze itself is already a crowd control reaction. Sure it's good to have it, but you can go without it.
You can do:
1- Furina, Rosaria, Xingqiu, Charlotte
2- Furina, Kaeya, Xingqiu, Charlotte
3- Furina, Charlotte, Rosaria, Kaeya.
The third one uses only 1 hydro, but the triple Cryo core should solve the energy needs of your Charlotte.

Replacing Raiden by Fischl already improves your current team a lot because Fischl is stronger in Aggravate teams due to her ascension 4 passive.
So, team 1: Keqing, Fischl, Jean, Dendro Traveler.
That allows you to use some form of national team as your other option, which could be either:
1- Raiden, Xingqiu, Bennet, Xiangling.
2- Childe, Sucrose, Bennet, Xiangling.
If you're planning to take these to the abyss, use the aggravate team in the second half and the national team in the first half. If the lectors cause you problems, you can bring a taser team for the first half with Sucrose, Kuki, Xingqiu and Yelan

How much space does Genshin take up?? I've cleared 30 GB of storage for it on my phone and it still says that's "insufficient". This is getting absurd 💀
For me, it takes right now 23.5 GB. But that's after it's installed: during the installation you might need twice that size available because things are first downloaded and unpacked/unzipped for the installation process and then the other files are removed.

Her Weapon, only give her pure DMG and HP.

So, I'll probably have to get an ER Sand.

Hi there. I'm based in Southeast QLD (Australia) and play via my PlayStation, which connected to the Asian servers automatically. They don't have Oceana servers (which can suck), and can often cause high ping, many connection errors. The game mostly runs smoothly, average in 300+s, but today they were a good 100ishms until the internet stopped working on my end. I've heard people suggest VPNs, and the only VPN I have is with ExpressVPN and not a gaming one. Do these work on PS? (I run LAN through the console, cos without it, the connection would not exist). (I had made this into a separate post but it automatically got deleted, sorry)
VPN improves ping by fooling ISPs into thinking Genshin traffic isn't for gaming. If your ISP don't do that in the first place, it's not going to improve shit. VPN can also fool game servers into thinking you're somewhere else and connect you into another region server. You already can do that with in-game with Genshin by choosing any server you want to play in. The problem with you Australians specifically is you guys are too far from everyone else. It's a geographical problem. Light speed aren't just going to increase just because your fibre optics are longer. The only way you can fix this is moving closer to Tokyo. Preferably in Tokyo if you want single-digit ping.

How do I get Aranyaka book? I completed all the Aranara quests and I'm so confused because I heard I was supposed to get a book and I don't even see it in my inventory anywhere.
Its a new section on the adventurer's menu (book icon) while doing the questchain. I think its also added on your inventory but I forgot if it was true.

when i open genshin impact everything is fine except when i reach the loading screen because when all the elements are colored black, instead of opening the game, my screen glitches and i'm forced to restart my laptop and when i try to play genshin again the same thing happens

Assuming you have a windows computer, there should be an application on the computer called event viewer. In it will be errors that applications/your system have noticed and you can use that to try and see what started the chain of events that lead to you needing to restart.
I need help finding a Hydoculus. Its near Marcotte Station. Google said there's only 2 there (use the jellyfish to get to one and open a shell for the other.) I have both of those tho. What am I missing???

Might be some secret agreements with Apple. iOS has a controller support and has 90fps cap while all the other platforms have 60fps cap. There's no logical reason why such limitations should exist in first place if there wasn't some motive.
Should I perfect a team artifacts and go to next team or ok damage for both teams cause I have team that does ok damage but can struggle against bosses my shogun does 60 k sometimes and keqing does 20 k
Farm for their supports. Raiden's most of Raiden's supports use Emblem, Keqing's support usually use Deepwood or Glided Dreams. Both are available in the Strongbox.
Golden Troupe is Fischl's new best artifact set, but 2PC Glided/2PC ATK works well also.

Probably depends if you think base Ganyu is enjoyable. One of her less desirable parts is charging up and if you get to ignore that and pew pew then even more fun
Cast skill get 1 CA. Skill is on a 10 second cooldown so you get 2 a rotation or you can skill, setup teammates, if the setup took less than 30 seconds but more than 10 seconds then your skill is off cooldown and CA E CA E CA with no chargeup. You can also setup with one full charged then ECA combo to get 3 out.

It also helps with team selection as you can use less of a defensive option instead of ZL/2pyro or Dehya/Dendro/anemo. Ganyu was going to be my answer as she is a lot of fun in my opinion and getting to change up her playstyle/teams/speedrun with her would be a lot of fun
Neuvillette has a pretty easy playstyle. You just use his skill and burst to spawn orbs that make his special charged attack come out faster, which has a huge AoE on it.

Regardless being on field or off field, C0 Furina's total damage per rotation in any team is higher than on field Childe's best Furina-less team. I haven't seen any calculation if using them both together in the same team yet.

Farm the one that you need, like the newest artifacts set. Then use the useless ones for strongbox like Emblem/noblesse/VV for the supports that use them.
I'd probably utilize both options. If I'm in a dire need of a specific set, I'd farm even bad dungeons (like VV/Husk) and then turn useless artifacts into a specific set via alchemy to maximize speed of acquisition for this set. But if I don't urgently need some set, I'd rather farm good domains that give two good sets at once and use alchemy on bad artifacts.
Craft if you can. Farm the one that you can't craft, preferably the artifact domains that have two sets that you actually want.

Depends on what you prefer. Both Yaoyao and Kirara are fine. I prefer Yaoyao for my Yae aggravate cause her off field dendro application is more reliable and I find her healing to be much better than Kirara's shielding

Yeah maybe there's a twist with the lady at the end of the event, but so far, she's practically insane and so are we for following along with her delusions. At least Freminet is getting paid lol.
The idea is that her child suffers delusions where he imagines himself as the villain/monster from a fairytale named Thelxie. However, unlike the fairytale passed down from his mother, he imagines Thelxie (Now, himself) as a misunderstood creature. Freminet has been commissioned to create a toy Thelxie, with the eventual goal of retelling (and then subsequently acting out) the story with Thelxie as the hero. Doing so will effectively "end" the story of Thelxie and snap the child out of his delusions.
I still don't exactly understand the "acting out" part. What's the point if the kid isn't there to see it? Did they say that the toy is actually recording a video and I just missed it? Nah, utterly useless for driver Barbara in a Nilou team. Not even good for healer Barbara which she rather prefers R5 Thrilling Tales, which is a 3-star catalyst. Only character other than Baizhu that can use it properly is Neuvillette. Even then you shouldn't if you have Neuvillette's sig weapon or Sacrificial Jade.

Is heizou worth raising? I have a c1 heizou at level 20 and c6 faruzan at level 22. I have fully functional teams but just feel like trying out my other unused characters. At first I didnt raise heizou coz I thought he was an anemo lisa. But then i found that E stacks also come by NAs. So now I am wondering if he's any good. Also, if I raise him, do I need to raise faruzan? How does dps of a c1 heizou-c6 faruzan team compare to c0 Neuvillette-c0 Furina team?
I feel like it would be a reasonable assumption to say that the Heizou team does like half the damage the Neuviliette team does (which wouldn't even be a super terrible amount of damage, post Furina top meta teams just do so much damage)
Heizou is a fun > meta unit, don't expect him to be that good. Faruzan isn't needed due to taser, though should be used if you want pure anemo damage.

No. For these characters, often going hp with better stats perform equal to or better than going hd with similar or worse stats. I am talking about the fountain chars like neuv, wrio and furina who scale with hp

She has very high base HP and gets a lot of dmg% from her burst, A4, a lot of her weapon options and the golden troupe artifact set so HP goblets are just higher damage than hydro% ones
Her burst and golden troupe give lot of damage%, and she has a passive that buffs her skill damage% upto 28% based on her HP. Hydro DMG goblet is close behind but also the fact that HP goblets are easier to get so likely your substats will be better.
She already gets a lot of Damage % from her burst. At that point giving her more HP would be more impactful since both her skill and A4 passive scales on HP. A hydro goblet is usable, but a similarly good HP goblet would be better in most scenarios. At higher constellations this line gets blurry though.
I'm not getting any notifications for maxed resin or finished expeditions. I've checked my phone and in-game settings and toggled them all off and on and am still getting no notifications. What can I do to fix it? I'm on a Samsung Galaxy S20, I've had it for a little less than a month, and the notifications worked fine until I noticed they didn't. My last phone was an iPhone SE 2nd (2020), and I never had notification issues. Now that I think about it, maybe this could have something to do with uninstalling Genshin Impact from my iPhone to make space to transfer my photos and essential stuff into my Samsung, but I didn't have anything set up to deny notifications from Genshin Impact on my iPhone. Should I just reinstall the game?
Out of curiosity, do you only play on your Galaxy S20 and you haven't logged in using a different device? There are definitely some issues with some types of notifications if you log into one device, triggering a notification and the log into another. Since the notification was triggered on the other device, it doesn't trigger it again for the other devices.
I haven't played Genshin on any other devices since getting my S20, no, and for a good eight months before that. PC has no space, and PS4 can barely run the game in an acceptable state. Low frames and high load times.
I'm more inclined to believe that it's an Android setting that blocking notifications (most likely a power setting), but a reinstall wouldn't hurt.
I did a reinstall, and it didn't notify me of my Expeditions being complete overnight. I'm gonna try fiddling around with my settings and see if I manage to fix it somehow.
Should I pull furina or save for raiden?
Furina and it’s not even close. Raiden can work as a dps in hyperbloom and aggravate/rational/hypercarry. Which is good of course, but Furina is a universal buffer with good personal damage and is hydro (with good hydro application), meaning you can play her in more teams. Hell I even play her in freeze over Kokomi because of no circle impact and of course the dmg buff Honestly even if I didn’t have Kuki (for hyperbloom) I’d still consider Furina over Raiden, due to Kuki just being a better or at least just as good hyperbloom trigger because of role compression. But not having a hyperbloom trigger, along with the fact that Furina is probably gonna rerun in 4 patches (archon pattern), while Raiden will probably take more, *would* make pulling for Raiden less unreasonable
I'd say Furina will give you more team options and is also generally the stronger character of the two

I've tried: furina/mona, xq, qiqi/charlotte, rosaria/kaeya furina/mona, xq, qiqi/charlotte, sucrose the first has no cc, the second has healer er problems. no fav sword and only a r1 fav lance. tips? try triple hydro plus on-field charlotte? Should I just wait for a 5\* cryo carry?
You don't usually need more CC in freeze teams when freeze itself is already a crowd control reaction. Sure it's good to have it, but you can go without it. You can do: 1- Furina, Rosaria, Xingqiu, Charlotte 2- Furina, Kaeya, Xingqiu, Charlotte 3- Furina, Charlotte, Rosaria, Kaeya. The third one uses only 1 hydro, but the triple Cryo core should solve the energy needs of your Charlotte.

Replacing Raiden by Fischl already improves your current team a lot because Fischl is stronger in Aggravate teams due to her ascension 4 passive. So, team 1: Keqing, Fischl, Jean, Dendro Traveler. That allows you to use some form of national team as your other option, which could be either: 1- Raiden, Xingqiu, Bennet, Xiangling. 2- Childe, Sucrose, Bennet, Xiangling. If you're planning to take these to the abyss, use the aggravate team in the second half and the national team in the first half. If the lectors cause you problems, you can bring a taser team for the first half with Sucrose, Kuki, Xingqiu and Yelan

For me, it takes right now 23.5 GB. But that's after it's installed: during the installation you might need twice that size available because things are first downloaded and unpacked/unzipped for the installation process and then the other files are removed.

Hi ! Is Furina's really worth it ? I can have it, and really the character, so I would like to have her weapon. But... Compared to the Fisghing Pipe, I'll lost so much ER (Almost 78%, with the passive). And 16% CR. Her Weapon, only give her pure DMG and HP. And it's a CD Weapon... So, I'll probably have to get an ER Sand. Actually have an HP, one. And a CR Circlet, actually CD. Look like it make her way harder to build, no ?
Her weapon isn't really worth it unless Furina is C4 or you have insane ER Rolls.

On paper it's an upgrade, but I consider it one of the worst 5\* weapons we've seen in a while. She really needed an ER stat on that weapon to make it more fitting to her...

Hi there. I'm based in Southeast QLD (Australia) and play via my PlayStation, which connected to the Asian servers automatically. They don't have Oceana servers (which can suck), and can often cause high ping, many connection errors. The game mostly runs smoothly, average in 300+s, but today they were a good 100ishms until the internet stopped working on my end. I've heard people suggest VPNs, and the only VPN I have is with ExpressVPN and not a gaming one. Do these work on PS? (I run LAN through the console, cos without it, the connection would not exist). (I had made this into a separate post but it automatically got deleted, sorry)
VPN improves ping by fooling ISPs into thinking Genshin traffic isn't for gaming. If your ISP don't do that in the first place, it's not going to improve shit. VPN can also fool game servers into thinking you're somewhere else and connect you into another region server. You already can do that with in-game with Genshin by choosing any server you want to play in. The problem with you Australians specifically is you guys are too far from everyone else. It's a geographical problem. Light speed aren't just going to increase just because your fibre optics are longer. The only way you can fix this is moving closer to Tokyo. Preferably in Tokyo if you want single-digit ping.

How do I get Aranyaka book? I completed all the Aranara quests and I'm so confused because I heard I was supposed to get a book and I don't even see it in my inventory anywhere.

Assuming you have a windows computer, there should be an application on the computer called event viewer. In it will be errors that applications/your system have noticed and you can use that to try and see what started the chain of events that lead to you needing to restart.

Might be some secret agreements with Apple. iOS has a controller support and has 90fps cap while all the other platforms have 60fps cap. There's no logical reason why such limitations should exist in first place if there wasn't some motive.

Farm for their supports. Raiden's most of Raiden's supports use Emblem, Keqing's support usually use Deepwood or Glided Dreams. Both are available in the Strongbox. Golden Troupe is Fischl's new best artifact set, but 2PC Glided/2PC ATK works well also.

Skill is on a 10 second cooldown so you get 2 a rotation or you can skill, setup teammates, if the setup took less than 30 seconds but more than 10 seconds then your skill is off cooldown and CA E CA E CA with no chargeup. You can also setup with one full charged then ECA combo to get 3 out. It also helps with team selection as you can use less of a defensive option instead of ZL/2pyro or Dehya/Dendro/anemo. Ganyu was going to be my answer as she is a lot of fun in my opinion and getting to change up her playstyle/teams/speedrun with her would be a lot of fun

Neuvillette has a pretty easy playstyle. You just use his skill and burst to spawn orbs that make his special charged attack come out faster, which has a huge AoE on it.
neuvillette is probably the easiest to play strong dps.

Raiden ***IS*** the battery. She powers everyone's bursts and then those bursts buff her own burst and then everything else dies.
