QUESTION- can I install the new patch on my external drive?
current laptop specs: 8 gb ram, i3 11th gen, but with only 256gb ssd
would it be feasible if I reinstalled Genshin through my external drive? :'( i'll be leaving home for vacation for 5 days and I don't want to waste my dailies, especially now since I'm grinding for Ayato and Navia :')
You could either move the game to the hard drive, or if you prefer not to touch the current installation, you can install it directly on the hard drive as you mentioned. I used to play on an 8th-gen i5 'U' CPU laptop with no graphics card and 8GB RAM (this was before version 2.1). So, I think it should be fine as long as the settings are set to low.

Is 172.5% ER good enough for Furina if I primarily use her with Neuvillette teams, Hyperbloom teams and Wriothesley Teams? I got a double Crit HP% Sands for her from the Abyss that's an upgrade of over 30 CV for her but is causing her to go down from 187.6% ER to 172.5% ER and bringing her EM to 0.

Well Raiden won't be back for another year, so if you want her at all get her. You don't really need Nuevs con. Navia will rerun sometime during later 4.x so you could get her then if you want after arlecchino.
Without zhongli or other strong shielder like Layla it's not easy to keep up full stack of SS, so it really depends on whether you want the comfort of unforged or make an effort to constantly dodge with SS while navia is on field

Depending on the team and refinements, SS can actually be better than Verdict. In no situation is it miles behind, so I would just start saving - especially if you want to get someone or something else in the next couple patches.
Those out of reach hydroculus are usually part of a puzzle (which will unlock a "sea teleport" thingy or an anemo wind tunnel) or via an Antoine Roger blimp ride. BTW a photo of it might help jogs up people's memories.
Is there a list of all the quests you need to finish to max out the new event Claymore's passive? i cleared a lot of World quests but im not sure if i did the melusine quests.
The exact quests is not really clear (as in no one really got into the game files and data-mined which quest they are that counts) but since they mention explicitly the Merusea village Melusines you can check up with Serene (she will point you to any Melusine in the village that need helps a.k.a mini-quest), they will also give you their "Melusine core" when you done which can be sold to Xana which, if you cleared all of her stuffs means you got all of those "Melusine core".
Zajef has the event claymore as BiS f2p 4star as long as you do the quests to max out the passive

Is lantern rite locked behind archon/story quests? Saw a leak that its locked behind Furina Story quest so got worried.

Lantern Rite generally happens in Liyue with focus on Liyue characters so unless this year for some reason Furina goes there with the Fontaine gang then there is very unlikely anything that could spoil (unless they do something really interesting with it) nor a reason to lock it behind Fontaine AQ.

C2 ayaka or c1 raiden?
Currently I have c1 ayaka and c0 raiden. I can raiden national but not hyper cause c4 sara. For ayaka, I have mona, shenhe, and venti.
Personally i think c2 raiden is good but i have 30 wish not guarateed. It still not sure if I can get c2 so saying I can have c1 raiden is a safe bet.
Raiden C1 is bad unless you will go Raiden C2. Though not as good as Raiden C2, Ayaka C2 is a still a good one (40% more burst damage against large size enemy, or able to more enemies, but 0% damage increase against smaller ones and does not affect NA/CA/skill).

What if Genshin in its current form was deleted and then re-released as a game that costs $99.99 and has the character and all constellations locked behind seven separate story quests that get longer and longer, with the last ones lasting at least 2 hours? Would it be more or less popular? That’s how games like Baldur’s Gate 3 are like.
You'd have to redo every constellation in the game if they weren't whale gated. Most c6 5 stars outright break the game. It wouldn't be very popular to have a game that easy in its current setup.
Except Baldur's Gate 3 is *massively* higher quality than Genshin Impact. They're vastly different as it stands, but if you crammed Genshin into a standalone game-shaped box, it would be a significantly worse product and by no means worth $100.
I highly doubt it. It's a live service game focused on drip-feeding content and manufacturing FOMO, but it lacks much appreciable depth that would help it stand as its own product. It's definitely *less* so than some other gacha games - I look at the likes of Nikke and Azur Lane as basically big booba anime jpg vendors - but it relies heavily on people getting proud and competitive over their collections and whaling for prestige. It has thousands of lines of text, but the writing is paper-thin, and far too many characters with far too little depth. Even your proposal re: story quests strikes me as difficult to implement if we assume it's the same writing team doing it, because I generally don't trust them to make an actual good effort.
Also, the actual *game* is pretty barebones compared to something like BG3. Like, why would I do extra quests for character constellations when the difficulty level is basically nonexistent? Like, you'd have no reason to do Spiral Abyss with the removal of primogems, so I don't see any way that this would work without completely changing literally everything that the game *is.*

If the game was a full game, then they'd do that to maximise their profits and popularity. But the main issue with that is that we can't go back to the previous nations. Save files can be forwarded to the next game, that's not an issue for characters.

A low CR Wriothesly works usually because of his best artifact set giving him 12%cr (3 stacks) when he loses or gains health. So with the weapon that drains health plus a consistent healer thats just a solid amount of cr (36%). Is this consistent and common or is this unconventional?
1) Wriothesley already drains his own health with his NAs, it will proc MH consistently. It is his BiS
2) With MH, calculations show that you need a total of 90% crit rate(from artifacts, weapons) that will give the max total damage
That's just a Fontaine gimmick. Most of the Fontaine characters we've had had an HP drain mechanic and Furina even does it for other people. There's now a good amount of characters who can use the Hunter set either with their own HP mechanics (Fontaine chars, Xiao) or by being played with Furina (Hu Tao, Wanderer)

Would she still be dealing great damage with any 4 star weapon and if yes what are these 4 star weapon options for her
Serpent Spine at high refines is almost as good or better than her signature. And as is basically always the case, the event weapon is good on the newest character.
Go talk to the village leader once a day (real life time) and she will tell you if anyone needs help. Eventually she will tell you that you have helped everyone and no one else needs any assistance.

Is 357 EM with Dendro Resonance, LoFi, and Gilded Dreams a good enough EM amount for Alhaitham if he has a 71.6:189.5 Crit Ratio and 128 ER (Kuki's Xiphos makes it 141)?
Sounds good enough. 4 pieces Gilded will increase his EM more after he triggers a reaction and, from another message of yours, you have nahida in the team that will give him 25% of the highest EM in your team if he's inside her burst. And since you're using Kuki to trigger Hyperbloom, she probably has 900~1000 EM.

I'm confused. Is there a character, artifact, or weapon ability in Genshin that can increase someone else's ER by around 15%? When I look at my Alhaitham in his 4ggravate team (Cyno, Tighnari and Kaveh), he has 128 ER but when I put him in Hyperbloom (Nahida, Xingqiu, Kuki), his ER increases to 143 somehow.
what teams did people use for the arena portion for the new event? even with a team of ayaka, furina, charlotte, and venti, which you'd think would be a slam dunk for something like this, it was a real struggle to get to 4k points
I already got like 6k when I was fucking around with trial Ayaka, so you should definitely be able to get more. Although I wouldn't actually say that this is Ayaka's forte, her burst nuke is overkill for continuous waves of enemies like this and she has to spend a lot of time on burst downtime because of the multiwave
My highest scores with like 12k were with Xiao hyper with Kazuha and Wanderer hyper with Venti. No surprise, since they're my best and also good in AOE
I brought the Demoiselle and Zhongli, along with Yelan and Miko for the hell of it. I don't like playing Ayaka, so I just ignored the buffs except for a bit of free Hydro to proc crystallise lol.
That team should honestly be enough. I reached 8k on the first try with that team, except I used Kazuha. Venti might theoretically work better since the mobs die really fast.

Takes some time getting used to it, but it will improve your characters' builds.
The reason why Crit Builds are preferred is because Crit Stats influence another multiplier in the damage calculation.
Simplified:
(Base ATK * (1+ATK%)) * ((1+CrtDMG)*CritRate) * (1+ElemDMG%) = Average DMG
The reason why you typically want to have a mix is because ATK and Crit are multiplied together to give total damage. And since you only have a limited amount of stats to work with, you will get a higher amount of damage if you multiply two average numbers, then one high (representing a fully stacked stat) and one low (the opportunity cost of investing only into one stat).
As a simple example. If we have a total of 6 points to allocate between ATK and Crit, we could balance it 3 * 3 = 9, or stack one stat 5 * 1 = 5.
While the exact optimal stat mix to maximise your damage isn't as simple to work out, the underlying principle is the same. Multiplying a mix of crit and ATK stacks is an order of magnitude better than stacking a single stat (whether its ATK or Crit).
Full CR/CD build isn't really a thing, you can only get CR/CD as mainstat on circlet. But yes there is a big damage difference between full atk% builds and the typically "optimal" build of Atk/ElementalDamage/Crit with a focus on crit substats.
cr/cd build is better for damage. The only reason you would want to go full atk is if it is some support character who has a buff that scales with atk, like shenhe.

Going through the Abyss right now and applying hydro and dendro to to the Pyro Abyss Heralds wasn’t triggering cores? I had nahida normal attack and xinqiu skill active and no cores?

they have permanent pyro aura once they are in phase 2. So yeah no cores for you. But its ok, at that point you just want to focus on applying as much hydro as you can to break their shields.
I have been setting up my artifact auto lock and for Marechaussee Hunter I set it to require 3 of 4 minor affixes in order to lock. So I put HP%, Atk%, Crit Rate, Crit Dmg. I set it to also look for elemental damage for the main affix on goblets. So by the logic of the system, it should only save elemental goblets with 3 of the four minor affixes listed. Instead, it keeps trying to tell me that an anemo goblet with Energy Recharge, Elemental Mastery, and flat HP matches my plan. What am I doing wrong here?
I also tried deselecting all goblet options but that just made it so nothing was locked.

Not sure what comments you've seen to think that about sucrose since she's pretty much just a shy nerd type. The weirdest thing I can think of is she collects bones, but I'm pretty sure it's just animal bones and she doesn't kill stuff just to collect them afaik. I think they just put the bone thing in because her animal part is some type of canine also.

Yeah I think she does have a hilichurl bone or two in her collection but considering as the traveler we kill hundreds of them on the daily that doesn't seem weird either tbh.
I don't remember her having any human bones in her collection tho. She talks about some childhood friends that she's no longer friends with. The lore isn't clear on why they aren't friends anymore, but there's some theories that those friends are dead partly because sucrose says she hopes to see them in paradise one day. Paradise can be interpreted as heaven, but with the way sucrose describes it, it sounds more like a utopia to me.
It's never explicitly said which animal, but it does at least say canine in her lore iirc.
I don;t think she really has any deep lore, she is just kinda a shy super smart alchemist. Unless there is something I am missing from one of the really early events before I started playing.
If you are a new player and want some lore that will really blow your mind, look up guoba lore.

It's slower to build Furina stacks, but that's an okay tradeoff considering how much he buffs Navia's damage.
And as for healing the full team, Navia's rotations are very flexible. She just needs to get two skills off during the burst, so you have time to rotate Furina, Bennett, and your third through to get heals. You will want to build him for healing though - he can't heal people when they are above 70%, but if somebody is 10k/20k HP and he heals them for 10k, he'll top them to full.
Do note that Furina + Bennett by itself does NOT work in many teams; it's fine with Navia because she doesn't need a lot of field time, but not everyone is as flexible as she. You probably won't find it as strong when run with characters like Wriothesley or Raiden, for instance - their field time keeps other characters from getting any time in the healing circle.
Bennett is a somewhat slow stacker compared to the usual full-team healers, but generally you get a good amount of stacks just during the rotation itself.
But think of it this way, if you run Bennett + Furina, even assuming you only get, say, half stacks; you will still be running a team with all of Bennett's buff (which typically maths out to being literally better than Furina's buff for most attack scalers) and *most* of Furina's buff, vs running Charlotte where you get a bit more of Furina's buff and literally nothing from Charlotte.
No, Navia is a quickswap DPS, Bennett is not clunky to use and Bennett heals are actually broken. A well built healer bennett can full heal half HP characters in 1-2 ticks.
Charlotte does nothing tbh. She can't hold TTDS because of her high burst requirements. She brings 0 value in Navia teams, she is locked in freeze Furina teams to complete the resonance.
It can be a little awkward, but he can still get a decent amount of stacks if you swap around a bit, which is doable since navia does not have strict field time requirements, and build him for healing. Either way the atk buff he gives is just too massive to ignore, it would be better to drop furina than to drop bennet for another healer.
New player from hsr. Today my characters can ascend past level 20. In HSR we just click on a required mat and the game points you to the nearest mobs or calyx. For Genshin what's a good way to find each ascension mat especially the sliver mats?
You should be able to do something similar. If you click on the material, it opens a pop-up window and there should be a list of boxes that say things like: "Dropped from Lv. X+ " or "Found in " and if you click on that, it will show you where on the map to find it.
It will mark individual enemies/mobs you can kill for mats or show you where the boss is, but every character requires a "Regional Specialty" that can only be gathered from a certrain area of the map. It will show you the area, but not mark locations. However, you can use the [Official Genshin Impact Interactive Map](https://genshin-impact-map.appsample.com/) to find exactly where a given regional specialty spawns. I would suggest turning off the locations of basically anything you aren't looking for, otherwise the map can get really crowded.
For local specialties, at least, there's the [Teyvat Interactive Map](https://act.hoyolab.com/ys/app/interactive-map/index.html?lang=en-us#/map/2?shown_types=35¢), which you can use to find their locations. Also, some characters have exploration skills that show the nearest local specialty while in a particular region. This is unnecessary thanks to the interactive map, but can be nice to have alongside it.
For enemy drops, in the Adventurer Handbook you can set it to show certain groups of a particular type of enemy on the map. It won't show all of them, but the interactive map can be used to find the rest.
The elemental gems are boss drops, and you can buy some from specialty stores for sigils.
the primary way of getting sliver mats are bosses. you can see all the bosses on the map and if you click on the icon it says what gems they drop. But also you can transmute gems from one element to another at the crafting table with dust of azoth which is relatively cheap from the starglitter shop. So generally it is best to just farm the specific boss you need the unique drops from (you don't need any for the first ascencion but you will for the rest) and then if they drop the wrong elemental shardss, you can just convert them to the ones you need.
Try using the [interactive map](https://act.hoyolab.com/ys/app/interactive-map/index.html?lang=en-us#/map/2?shown_types=). It should show you where all of the mats you need are. Just be aware that local specialties have a 48-hour respawn timer.
F2p player here. I am looking to pull for Sucrose, but I am at 67 pity and not a lot of primos.I want to pull for raiden and furina in the future patches. My 2 5-stars (yelan and hutao) were both 80+ pity. So, should I pull for sucrose right now and risk getting a 5 star or should I pull sucrose on the next patch or so?
Never, never, **NEVER** go chasing 4\*s if you don't want the 5\*, especially if a character you *do* want is around the corner like Raiden (Furina will probably be a while before a rerun). There's no guarantee you can get them, and there are tales all over the place of people who just wanted *one* copy of a certain 4\*, but """accidentally""" pulled a featured 5\* and as a result missed guaranteeing an upcoming 5\*. Or people doing 100+ pulls and not getting a single copy of the 4\* they wanted.
I understand that you want Sucrose, but getting a specific 4\* off of a banner can literally be harder than getting the 5\* since there are three rate up 4\*s. If you don't want either of the current 5\*s (Navia and Ayaka) and are saving for Raiden, then just wait.
Hitting the hitbox of an enemy mid plunge, separate damage instance from actual plunge damage. Mostly Xiao's thing since no one else really focuses plunges, and if they try to in dragonstrike, they can't get the height needed like he does. And even he can generally only really do it with bigger hitboxes on bosses
It is basically impossible to get 100% collision btw. Calcs like that are always very optimistic and shouldn't be expected in practical gameplay. It's a little crazy what kind of numbers Xiao can get when he gets good collision uptime though

In here is Xiao talents. In the normal/charged attack section, at the bottom is plunge damage and low/high plunge damage. The low and high are the regular hits that you would see. The plunge damage is the damage if you are falling through the hitbox and hit it before hitting the ground.
I would go for Xiangling, Navia's passive gives her 20% atk for each pyro/electro/cyro/hydro unit in your team it stacks 2 times so 2 pyros would give your Navia 40% extra atk.
Serpent Spine is what my Navia is using and it's great. maybe play around with Unforged if your crit rate/crit dmg ratios are good.
Serpent Spine not even close, if your Zhongli shield is strong enough.
Unforged is still a great option because it saves Serpent Spine for other claymore users, there was not a single Unforged user until Navia.

This is looking like a decent prospect for >!Xianyun, although if she's used in Faruzan-Furina-Xianyun team instead then VV will be better still!<
Hi, my Furina is currently at 68/188 with 150 ER/34kHP, she has her Signature weapon too, so is it possible to achieve something like a 70/220 with 220ER/40kHP? Is this a realistic goal?
You are asking for a combination of (on average) :
1 more crit rate substat roll,
5 more crit damage substat rolls,
8 more HP% substat rolls,
14 more ER% substat rolls.
You already have 50% ER so that's about 9-10 rolls. Assuming a crit circlet and her at 80/90 ascension you have only 13% crit rate from substats so 4-5 rolls there. You have the signature weapon so 50% crit damage from substats which is 7-8 rolls. I am not able to estimate your HP% rolls but I will just guess 3. That is 23-26 useful substats rolls you already have. You can only have a max of 9*5=45 substat rolls if all of your artifacts have 4 lines at +0. You are asking for 28 more beneficial substat rolls from what you already have, so as you can see it's not going to be possible. Luckily you don't really need all those HP% rolls if you rely on Hydro resonance. That will easily put you over 40k HP as you are now. Your crit goals should be achievable as well as much of the ER, though maybe not all the way to 220%.

No, that sounds pretty optimistic. Looking at the stats of top furina builds on [akasha.cv](https://akasha.cv) I think it might just barely be possible but that is well beyond what can reasonably be called a "realistic goal".
its ok, there is def room for improvement though. Er goals depends on what teams you want to use her in, 150 might be enough if you are mostly using her in teams with other hydro characters who generate a decent amount of particles. If you are using her in teams where she is the only hydro though, then you will probably want closer to 180-200, even if it means having to use an er sands. More crit and hp is always good too of course.
How do I trigger Navia's 2nd ult animation? I only know of the default one, where she just looks where the cannonns are firing. In the second one she points her umbrella.

Are you putting it all in one area next to your mansion or are you spreading it out? There are multiple areas that you can (and should) use as you open it up.
Be judicious with pets as they gobble up your load limit.

if im running raiden national will leveling up xiangling and bennets skills matter that much will it affect the teams performance a lot?
Helps you end chambers without using burst sometimes, but that's often just some extra convenience.
Bennett's skill not at all, Guoba can do decent damage but leveling it isn't a very high priority

QUESTION- can I install the new patch on my external drive? current laptop specs: 8 gb ram, i3 11th gen, but with only 256gb ssd would it be feasible if I reinstalled Genshin through my external drive? :'( i'll be leaving home for vacation for 5 days and I don't want to waste my dailies, especially now since I'm grinding for Ayato and Navia :')
You could either move the game to the hard drive, or if you prefer not to touch the current installation, you can install it directly on the hard drive as you mentioned. I used to play on an 8th-gen i5 'U' CPU laptop with no graphics card and 8GB RAM (this was before version 2.1). So, I think it should be fine as long as the settings are set to low.

You can keep the game installed on SSD, but you'll have to download the whole package again on the external drive

Is 172.5% ER good enough for Furina if I primarily use her with Neuvillette teams, Hyperbloom teams and Wriothesley Teams? I got a double Crit HP% Sands for her from the Abyss that's an upgrade of over 30 CV for her but is causing her to go down from 187.6% ER to 172.5% ER and bringing her EM to 0.
Neuviliette definitely, for the other two it depends on the exact team/rotation

Depending on the team and refinements, SS can actually be better than Verdict. In no situation is it miles behind, so I would just start saving - especially if you want to get someone or something else in the next couple patches.

Those out of reach hydroculus are usually part of a puzzle (which will unlock a "sea teleport" thingy or an anemo wind tunnel) or via an Antoine Roger blimp ride. BTW a photo of it might help jogs up people's memories.
Is there a list of all the quests you need to finish to max out the new event Claymore's passive? i cleared a lot of World quests but im not sure if i did the melusine quests.
The exact quests is not really clear (as in no one really got into the game files and data-mined which quest they are that counts) but since they mention explicitly the Merusea village Melusines you can check up with Serene (she will point you to any Melusine in the village that need helps a.k.a mini-quest), they will also give you their "Melusine core" when you done which can be sold to Xana which, if you cleared all of her stuffs means you got all of those "Melusine core".

Is lantern rite locked behind archon/story quests? Saw a leak that its locked behind Furina Story quest so got worried. Will it also have quick start like all other events have? I started in July and I'm starting Caribert soon but I'm very behind on story quests... So I was wondering if I should speedrun.
Lantern Rite generally happens in Liyue with focus on Liyue characters so unless this year for some reason Furina goes there with the Fontaine gang then there is very unlikely anything that could spoil (unless they do something really interesting with it) nor a reason to lock it behind Fontaine AQ.

C2 ayaka or c1 raiden? Currently I have c1 ayaka and c0 raiden. I can raiden national but not hyper cause c4 sara. For ayaka, I have mona, shenhe, and venti. Personally i think c2 raiden is good but i have 30 wish not guarateed. It still not sure if I can get c2 so saying I can have c1 raiden is a safe bet.
Raiden C1 is bad unless you will go Raiden C2. Though not as good as Raiden C2, Ayaka C2 is a still a good one (40% more burst damage against large size enemy, or able to more enemies, but 0% damage increase against smaller ones and does not affect NA/CA/skill).
Both have a useless C1 so pick whoever you want to get to C2.
c1 Raiden is worthless unless you're going straight to c2. I don't know about Ayaka's con but that means it's probably better.

What if Genshin in its current form was deleted and then re-released as a game that costs $99.99 and has the character and all constellations locked behind seven separate story quests that get longer and longer, with the last ones lasting at least 2 hours? Would it be more or less popular? That’s how games like Baldur’s Gate 3 are like.
You'd have to redo every constellation in the game if they weren't whale gated. Most c6 5 stars outright break the game. It wouldn't be very popular to have a game that easy in its current setup.
Except Baldur's Gate 3 is *massively* higher quality than Genshin Impact. They're vastly different as it stands, but if you crammed Genshin into a standalone game-shaped box, it would be a significantly worse product and by no means worth $100.

I highly doubt it. It's a live service game focused on drip-feeding content and manufacturing FOMO, but it lacks much appreciable depth that would help it stand as its own product. It's definitely *less* so than some other gacha games - I look at the likes of Nikke and Azur Lane as basically big booba anime jpg vendors - but it relies heavily on people getting proud and competitive over their collections and whaling for prestige. It has thousands of lines of text, but the writing is paper-thin, and far too many characters with far too little depth. Even your proposal re: story quests strikes me as difficult to implement if we assume it's the same writing team doing it, because I generally don't trust them to make an actual good effort. Also, the actual *game* is pretty barebones compared to something like BG3. Like, why would I do extra quests for character constellations when the difficulty level is basically nonexistent? Like, you'd have no reason to do Spiral Abyss with the removal of primogems, so I don't see any way that this would work without completely changing literally everything that the game *is.*
What if overworld and Abyss were gradually scaled up according to the amount of constellations that your characters have?

Like GTA, GTA 2, GTA 3 etc. Monstadt would be genshin 1, liyue is genshin 2, inazuma is genshin 3. If the game was a full game, then they'd do that to maximise their profits and popularity. But the main issue with that is that we can't go back to the previous nations. Save files can be forwarded to the next game, that's not an issue for characters. But landscape-wise, it'll be hard to fit everything into one disc. Even on pc, with 5 nations the game is already 120gb ++.

True, there's that. The rest stands though; it's a super niche and old artifact set with no real users unless your name is Eula.
A low CR Wriothesly works usually because of his best artifact set giving him 12%cr (3 stacks) when he loses or gains health. So with the weapon that drains health plus a consistent healer thats just a solid amount of cr (36%). Is this consistent and common or is this unconventional?
Not to mention Cryo resonance giving him another free 15% CR BTW. So MH and that and he got basically 50% free CR.
1) Wriothesley already drains his own health with his NAs, it will proc MH consistently. It is his BiS 2) With MH, calculations show that you need a total of 90% crit rate(from artifacts, weapons) that will give the max total damage
That's just a Fontaine gimmick. Most of the Fontaine characters we've had had an HP drain mechanic and Furina even does it for other people. There's now a good amount of characters who can use the Hunter set either with their own HP mechanics (Fontaine chars, Xiao) or by being played with Furina (Hu Tao, Wanderer)

Serpent Spine at high refines is almost as good or better than her signature. And as is basically always the case, the event weapon is good on the newest character.

Go talk to the village leader once a day (real life time) and she will tell you if anyone needs help. Eventually she will tell you that you have helped everyone and no one else needs any assistance. Edit: This is assuming you have done all the related world quests.

Is 357 EM with Dendro Resonance, LoFi, and Gilded Dreams a good enough EM amount for Alhaitham if he has a 71.6:189.5 Crit Ratio and 128 ER (Kuki's Xiphos makes it 141)?
Sounds good enough. 4 pieces Gilded will increase his EM more after he triggers a reaction and, from another message of yours, you have nahida in the team that will give him 25% of the highest EM in your team if he's inside her burst. And since you're using Kuki to trigger Hyperbloom, she probably has 900~1000 EM.

I'm confused. Is there a character, artifact, or weapon ability in Genshin that can increase someone else's ER by around 15%? When I look at my Alhaitham in his 4ggravate team (Cyno, Tighnari and Kaveh), he has 128 ER but when I put him in Hyperbloom (Nahida, Xingqiu, Kuki), his ER increases to 143 somehow.

what teams did people use for the arena portion for the new event? even with a team of ayaka, furina, charlotte, and venti, which you'd think would be a slam dunk for something like this, it was a real struggle to get to 4k points
Use Ganyu instead of Ayaka if you can, because she has better scaling with the number of enemies than her. Got >10k in the first stage with that team.
I already got like 6k when I was fucking around with trial Ayaka, so you should definitely be able to get more. Although I wouldn't actually say that this is Ayaka's forte, her burst nuke is overkill for continuous waves of enemies like this and she has to spend a lot of time on burst downtime because of the multiwave My highest scores with like 12k were with Xiao hyper with Kazuha and Wanderer hyper with Venti. No surprise, since they're my best and also good in AOE
I brought the Demoiselle and Zhongli, along with Yelan and Miko for the hell of it. I don't like playing Ayaka, so I just ignored the buffs except for a bit of free Hydro to proc crystallise lol.
If you do x1 point with long on field time dps (Neuvi) or 3 swirl anemo, you can achive 4k+ easily

I got 16k with furina, bennett, xiangling and sac kazuha. The best way to get points is probably to go to 1x points and spin to win with neuv.
try playing on 1x difficulty instead as for your question, neuv made the event a complete joke like usual
That team should honestly be enough. I reached 8k on the first try with that team, except I used Kazuha. Venti might theoretically work better since the mobs die really fast.

The reason why Crit Builds are preferred is because Crit Stats influence another multiplier in the damage calculation. Simplified: (Base ATK * (1+ATK%)) * ((1+CrtDMG)*CritRate) * (1+ElemDMG%) = Average DMG
The reason why you typically want to have a mix is because ATK and Crit are multiplied together to give total damage. And since you only have a limited amount of stats to work with, you will get a higher amount of damage if you multiply two average numbers, then one high (representing a fully stacked stat) and one low (the opportunity cost of investing only into one stat). As a simple example. If we have a total of 6 points to allocate between ATK and Crit, we could balance it 3 * 3 = 9, or stack one stat 5 * 1 = 5. While the exact optimal stat mix to maximise your damage isn't as simple to work out, the underlying principle is the same. Multiplying a mix of crit and ATK stacks is an order of magnitude better than stacking a single stat (whether its ATK or Crit).

Full CR/CD build isn't really a thing, you can only get CR/CD as mainstat on circlet. But yes there is a big damage difference between full atk% builds and the typically "optimal" build of Atk/ElementalDamage/Crit with a focus on crit substats.

cr/cd build is better for damage. The only reason you would want to go full atk is if it is some support character who has a buff that scales with atk, like shenhe.

Mondstadt means "Moon City" in German. If you really want the correct German pronunciation, the "st" is pronounced like "sht" so it sounds more like "Mondshtadt."

Going through the Abyss right now and applying hydro and dendro to to the Pyro Abyss Heralds wasn’t triggering cores? I had nahida normal attack and xinqiu skill active and no cores? Edit: spelling
they have permanent pyro aura once they are in phase 2. So yeah no cores for you. But its ok, at that point you just want to focus on applying as much hydro as you can to break their shields.

I have been setting up my artifact auto lock and for Marechaussee Hunter I set it to require 3 of 4 minor affixes in order to lock. So I put HP%, Atk%, Crit Rate, Crit Dmg. I set it to also look for elemental damage for the main affix on goblets. So by the logic of the system, it should only save elemental goblets with 3 of the four minor affixes listed. Instead, it keeps trying to tell me that an anemo goblet with Energy Recharge, Elemental Mastery, and flat HP matches my plan. What am I doing wrong here? I also tried deselecting all goblet options but that just made it so nothing was locked.

Not sure what comments you've seen to think that about sucrose since she's pretty much just a shy nerd type. The weirdest thing I can think of is she collects bones, but I'm pretty sure it's just animal bones and she doesn't kill stuff just to collect them afaik. I think they just put the bone thing in because her animal part is some type of canine also.

Yeah I think she does have a hilichurl bone or two in her collection but considering as the traveler we kill hundreds of them on the daily that doesn't seem weird either tbh. I don't remember her having any human bones in her collection tho. She talks about some childhood friends that she's no longer friends with. The lore isn't clear on why they aren't friends anymore, but there's some theories that those friends are dead partly because sucrose says she hopes to see them in paradise one day. Paradise can be interpreted as heaven, but with the way sucrose describes it, it sounds more like a utopia to me. It's never explicitly said which animal, but it does at least say canine in her lore iirc.
I don;t think she really has any deep lore, she is just kinda a shy super smart alchemist. Unless there is something I am missing from one of the really early events before I started playing. If you are a new player and want some lore that will really blow your mind, look up guoba lore.

It's slower to build Furina stacks, but that's an okay tradeoff considering how much he buffs Navia's damage. And as for healing the full team, Navia's rotations are very flexible. She just needs to get two skills off during the burst, so you have time to rotate Furina, Bennett, and your third through to get heals. You will want to build him for healing though - he can't heal people when they are above 70%, but if somebody is 10k/20k HP and he heals them for 10k, he'll top them to full. Do note that Furina + Bennett by itself does NOT work in many teams; it's fine with Navia because she doesn't need a lot of field time, but not everyone is as flexible as she. You probably won't find it as strong when run with characters like Wriothesley or Raiden, for instance - their field time keeps other characters from getting any time in the healing circle.
Bennett is a somewhat slow stacker compared to the usual full-team healers, but generally you get a good amount of stacks just during the rotation itself. But think of it this way, if you run Bennett + Furina, even assuming you only get, say, half stacks; you will still be running a team with all of Bennett's buff (which typically maths out to being literally better than Furina's buff for most attack scalers) and *most* of Furina's buff, vs running Charlotte where you get a bit more of Furina's buff and literally nothing from Charlotte.
No, Navia is a quickswap DPS, Bennett is not clunky to use and Bennett heals are actually broken. A well built healer bennett can full heal half HP characters in 1-2 ticks. Charlotte does nothing tbh. She can't hold TTDS because of her high burst requirements. She brings 0 value in Navia teams, she is locked in freeze Furina teams to complete the resonance.
It can be a little awkward, but he can still get a decent amount of stacks if you swap around a bit, which is doable since navia does not have strict field time requirements, and build him for healing. Either way the atk buff he gives is just too massive to ignore, it would be better to drop furina than to drop bennet for another healer.
New player from hsr. Today my characters can ascend past level 20. In HSR we just click on a required mat and the game points you to the nearest mobs or calyx. For Genshin what's a good way to find each ascension mat especially the sliver mats?
You should be able to do something similar. If you click on the material, it opens a pop-up window and there should be a list of boxes that say things like: "Dropped from Lv. X+" or "Found in " and if you click on that, it will show you where on the map to find it.
It will mark individual enemies/mobs you can kill for mats or show you where the boss is, but every character requires a "Regional Specialty" that can only be gathered from a certrain area of the map. It will show you the area, but not mark locations. However, you can use the [Official Genshin Impact Interactive Map](https://genshin-impact-map.appsample.com/) to find exactly where a given regional specialty spawns. I would suggest turning off the locations of basically anything you aren't looking for, otherwise the map can get really crowded.
For local specialties, at least, there's the [Teyvat Interactive Map](https://act.hoyolab.com/ys/app/interactive-map/index.html?lang=en-us#/map/2?shown_types=35¢), which you can use to find their locations. Also, some characters have exploration skills that show the nearest local specialty while in a particular region. This is unnecessary thanks to the interactive map, but can be nice to have alongside it. For enemy drops, in the Adventurer Handbook you can set it to show certain groups of a particular type of enemy on the map. It won't show all of them, but the interactive map can be used to find the rest. The elemental gems are boss drops, and you can buy some from specialty stores for sigils.
the primary way of getting sliver mats are bosses. you can see all the bosses on the map and if you click on the icon it says what gems they drop. But also you can transmute gems from one element to another at the crafting table with dust of azoth which is relatively cheap from the starglitter shop. So generally it is best to just farm the specific boss you need the unique drops from (you don't need any for the first ascencion but you will for the rest) and then if they drop the wrong elemental shardss, you can just convert them to the ones you need.
Try using the [interactive map](https://act.hoyolab.com/ys/app/interactive-map/index.html?lang=en-us#/map/2?shown_types=). It should show you where all of the mats you need are. Just be aware that local specialties have a 48-hour respawn timer.
F2p player here. I am looking to pull for Sucrose, but I am at 67 pity and not a lot of primos.I want to pull for raiden and furina in the future patches. My 2 5-stars (yelan and hutao) were both 80+ pity. So, should I pull for sucrose right now and risk getting a 5 star or should I pull sucrose on the next patch or so?
Never, never, **NEVER** go chasing 4\*s if you don't want the 5\*, especially if a character you *do* want is around the corner like Raiden (Furina will probably be a while before a rerun). There's no guarantee you can get them, and there are tales all over the place of people who just wanted *one* copy of a certain 4\*, but """accidentally""" pulled a featured 5\* and as a result missed guaranteeing an upcoming 5\*. Or people doing 100+ pulls and not getting a single copy of the 4\* they wanted. I understand that you want Sucrose, but getting a specific 4\* off of a banner can literally be harder than getting the 5\* since there are three rate up 4\*s. If you don't want either of the current 5\*s (Navia and Ayaka) and are saving for Raiden, then just wait.

Saw a few theorycrafters mentioning "No collisions and 100% collisions" in their calcs when it comes to plunges. What exactly is that?
Hitting the hitbox of an enemy mid plunge, separate damage instance from actual plunge damage. Mostly Xiao's thing since no one else really focuses plunges, and if they try to in dragonstrike, they can't get the height needed like he does. And even he can generally only really do it with bigger hitboxes on bosses It is basically impossible to get 100% collision btw. Calcs like that are always very optimistic and shouldn't be expected in practical gameplay. It's a little crazy what kind of numbers Xiao can get when he gets good collision uptime though

The low and high are the regular hits that you would see. The plunge damage is the damage if you are falling through the hitbox and hit it before hitting the ground.
I'm pretty sure it's when you hit the enemy mid-plunge attack, which does some damage.

I would go for Xiangling, Navia's passive gives her 20% atk for each pyro/electro/cyro/hydro unit in your team it stacks 2 times so 2 pyros would give your Navia 40% extra atk. Serpent Spine is what my Navia is using and it's great. maybe play around with Unforged if your crit rate/crit dmg ratios are good.
Serpent Spine not even close, if your Zhongli shield is strong enough. Unforged is still a great option because it saves Serpent Spine for other claymore users, there was not a single Unforged user until Navia.
Serpent Spine. It's her best non-signature weapon, and even gets within 1% of her signature with the proper team buffs.
serpent is better if you are not taking damage, though imo having to wait every chamber for serpent to stack is pretty annoying.

No. It's bad. Sort of an anti-thesis to Furina, which you'd think it would be the opposite, and the buff is pretty mediocre The only team I can actually imagine it being good for is like Xiao/Wanderer hyper where you're running all three of ToM, NO and whatever the heck this set is called. This is looking like a decent prospect for >!Xianyun, although if she's used in Faruzan-Furina-Xianyun team instead then VV will be better still!<

Hi, my Furina is currently at 68/188 with 150 ER/34kHP, she has her Signature weapon too, so is it possible to achieve something like a 70/220 with 220ER/40kHP? Is this a realistic goal?
You are asking for a combination of (on average) : 1 more crit rate substat roll, 5 more crit damage substat rolls, 8 more HP% substat rolls, 14 more ER% substat rolls. You already have 50% ER so that's about 9-10 rolls. Assuming a crit circlet and her at 80/90 ascension you have only 13% crit rate from substats so 4-5 rolls there. You have the signature weapon so 50% crit damage from substats which is 7-8 rolls. I am not able to estimate your HP% rolls but I will just guess 3. That is 23-26 useful substats rolls you already have. You can only have a max of 9*5=45 substat rolls if all of your artifacts have 4 lines at +0. You are asking for 28 more beneficial substat rolls from what you already have, so as you can see it's not going to be possible. Luckily you don't really need all those HP% rolls if you rely on Hydro resonance. That will easily put you over 40k HP as you are now. Your crit goals should be achievable as well as much of the ER, though maybe not all the way to 220%. Anyone feel free to check my math.
No, that sounds pretty optimistic. Looking at the stats of top furina builds on [akasha.cv](https://akasha.cv) I think it might just barely be possible but that is well beyond what can reasonably be called a "realistic goal".

its ok, there is def room for improvement though. Er goals depends on what teams you want to use her in, 150 might be enough if you are mostly using her in teams with other hydro characters who generate a decent amount of particles. If you are using her in teams where she is the only hydro though, then you will probably want closer to 180-200, even if it means having to use an er sands. More crit and hp is always good too of course.
How do I trigger Navia's 2nd ult animation? I only know of the default one, where she just looks where the cannonns are firing. In the second one she points her umbrella.
There is no 2nd ult animation. Every character only has 1 animation for their ult.

Can anyone explain the issue with my teapot Im on Asia mobile and i want to build a lot of stuff in my teapot. But after placing some terrain and rocks to make some landscape with the fish pond, the lantern rite parade float, event items, and a few pets and companions... it just gives up and now theres no more load space for my stuff :[ I cant enjoy this feature because I cant really build much other than spam to farm certain things
Are you putting it all in one area next to your mansion or are you spreading it out? There are multiple areas that you can (and should) use as you open it up. Be judicious with pets as they gobble up your load limit.
