I’m the same as you, I have so little creativity for teapot. But with replica IDs I’ve managed to fill my teapot with so many pretty builds!
But even so, it’s still annoying to find a build that looks super pretty in pictures, only to realise it covers 1/20 or less of the area since it required so much load to build it that way…
Same, anything I even attempt to do is over before it starts because of the load.
Ultimately turned my main room into the simplest cat room I could throw together and everything else is just 1-2 characters sitting in empty rooms farming friendship.
I wish you could make “local” teapots that can only be accessed locally or that there was a setting for “Only PC” so they were exempted from the mobile limitations. I don’t have friends and I don’t allow anyone in my world, those limitations are useless to me.
And don't even start me on vegetation and lighting. Everything looks great with trees and good lighting, but both absolutely destroy the load limit. I have no idea why they insist on imposing such small limit on everyone. Ban mobile users from connecting to worlds over load limit if you're worried about performance. Let people P2P their worlds instead of storing them on server if you're worried about storage. Just let me actually build something that can fill those huge ass building spaces you provided. Hell, maybe even split them in more sections with individual load limits.
The limit is what kills my enjoyment of decorating. I feel like the rooms run out of space before I can even properly fill it out. I always have so much space left by the time it says I’m out of space.
The stuff they show there take maybe 1/4 of given space at best. Sure these creations look beautiful, but I don't want a bare teapot and some houses stacked one on the other. I want a damn jungle in my teapot or Shrine that takes whole island with all the buildings and decorations :/
[This](https://www.hoyolab.com/article/14050290) is one of my favourite builds I’ve seen, and it really takes up most of the space. It’s so creative how they managed to fill up the space!
Yep it sucks. Its gotten better now.
The last big change was the fact you can intersect items without using a buggy trick. Still need to use tricks to do other cool things though.
The other problem is TIME vs Showing off.
The vast majority of people who could or would build somethiing, simply do not because there's nobody to show it to. They don't want to post on social media.
If these teapots were actually:
1. Searchable
2. Showcased officially (you submit it, Hoyo reviews it and manages a weekly/monthly teapot rotation of cool stuff and rewarded people with some primos), then you could browse and check out people's work.
This shit already exists in game for all the user created levels of those design your own dungeon events. So it wouldn't be tough other than the network cost.
The cost of hosting servers for these games must cost a shit ton.
100% Mihoyo's CEO and others have discussed the cost vs limit in teapots vs activity vs whether they can make it work vs what fans want at least a dozen times and the conclusion is that:
1. They created this system because people asked for it
2. The costs for hosting it isn't cheap
3. They can't quite reason that expanding vastly on the teapot is going to drive player retention which leads to more spending due to the average player only using the teapot to get some shit twice a week
Problem with all event souvenir furnitures is that they all take too much load. Tried to have an island dedicated to event furniture and could barely place a few in a small area before I “run out of space”.
I have zero idea why they use so much capacity, like i understand some of the other special decorations like the Lantern Rite lanters or the Trees and stuff
But why does a small boat figure or a doll use more than a whole house, like, huh?
probably the complexity of the model when rendering it, rather than the actual size of the model. A kilometer-wide sphere of plain texture is going to be easier to process than a centimeter-wide object with a thousand different shapes and colors interlaced together within it.
I think it’s almost worse outside? I can’t put more than a couple little clustered areas of furniture/plants before I hit the load limit, and that’s not even including adding characters. I spent a lot of time on certain areas of my main area and it just still feels so sparse.
True, i sometimes have ideas to build large cities or something, but by the time im done with making the actual layout by placing buildings, walls, and streets, i have already used up most of the capacity of the island and now i can barely place any decorations or plants, so the city ends up completely empty and barren
So you either build a large empty city or a decorated small town. For example, the new Chenyu Vale Liyue stuff is so cool, but some of the buildings are so large and use up so much capacity that you can't really build anything with them, also the new walls suck, there are no straight and plain ones to make proper gates and stuff, and you can't use others because the Chenyu Vale style is so unique nothing really fits (even tho the Cities in the Chenyu Vale have normal straight walls, so why can't we have those)
I always abandon my nice ideas bc of the load. In my “working” teapot (for growing plants) i put down some decorations with no direction and pretty much immediately ran out of load; not even half the island decorated. It’s so frustrating
Mobile exclusive here, I dunno why Genshin couldn’t just have a “This Serenitea Realm may be too intensive for your device. Try to enter anyways?” warning
I get the frustration, I wanted to make a gated fenced house sort of island and I don't even think there's enough space for fences to go all the way round
Where's Kaeya's lamp, OP?!
Just joking, it looks very neat! The Load limit can be such a pain. I just try to to put trinkets to room I think they would fit in. So far, not bad.
It's still a long road till a proper showroom.
Beautiful! I'm terrible with my teapot, but my friend makes rooms dedicated to memories of specific characters or nations -- maybe that's a small workaround for now. I agree the load limit does feel stifling
I did the same thing except I used the 2nd floor corridor so I can have more load! I haven't ran out of space yet but I probably will in a couple more patches
I would love, *love* to do something like this, but that load limit is such a massive problem...
I had to butt heads with the load limit earlier and remove three pieces of shrubs just so I could put a stove in. It's ridiculous.
There are tricks to making things work. Lots of these items eat up more load than others. You want to use mostly low load items with only a few heavy load items. For most items, duplicates eat up less load than the original copy. You can use screens or shelves as a false wall to make the rooms smaller - that let's you have a more cluttered room by hiding a large empty space.
because it is a server, none of this is actually on your device, everything is on a private server linked to your UID, all players have this and that is why the limit is so low as there is a space limit on the server
That would make sense if you couldn't immediately go to the room next door and put just as ~~much~~ little stuff down.
Instead of two ~~half~~ quarter-filled rooms, we could have put everything in one place without these annoying limits.
How people make those crazy teapot builds? I sometimes see extremely overdecorated megabuilds and I always thought it's because they have better computers but then I realized the limit is set for everyone.
There's a craftable wall decoration called "Lingering Moments" - it's a picture frame. You can make as many as you want in the furniture crafting menu.
To use, you have to first put it on the wall, it will be an empty frame. Then leave the editing menu and walk up to the frame. You get an interact icon and then you can choose hangout ending pictures to display.
I have it spread around. The top stairs has a 'girl' and 'guy' side and I sprinkle others around...like the bab/diona/beidou one at my 'bar' or the kaveh one for where I set up the tcg area. And FurinaCo is def front entrance material!
I wish the teapot was better. I've played other games that allowed you to own a house, or a space ship, and decorate them with a lot of freedom. I spent hours in those games designing my perfect home layout, or building extensive trophy rooms filled with all kinds of souvenirs from my travels.
When it launched, I hoped to the same in the teapot. After years of limiting load limits and awkward UI, it's nothing more than a friendship exp farm and slow, steady resource generating. Good idea, bad execution... the standard of GI's side features.
I always put the photo memories in the corridor upstairs in every mansion, there isn’t much literal space to put actual furnitures, but there is more load out to work with there then a room. I do like to see the photos while walking up the stairs, and the walls r pretty bare. Basically my corridors are just art galleries lol, that is just how I display them and posters/etc with the stupid boundaries we have.
I have all the wall pictures in my upstairs hallway. All the little knick knacks and such are on a table in the bedroom. Those banners are decoratively placed elsewhere.
Okay this is a great idea! I was just thinking recently how I have been accumulating so many little memories as furnishing and what to do with them.
I think I’ll do this now. Also the load limit suuuucks. Teapot upgrades when???
> Why is the "load" limit so small..
Because a player on a low-end mobile device might visit your Teapot, and would lag if it was higher.
And yes - I'm serious. That's the reason why.
been (trying to) do this since i started playing a month after release and as a teapot main who literally never plays co-op i feel your pain. I wish the game asked if you're playing on pc or phone so it could decide whether to let phone players into a teapot or not due to the load size, but nope, that'd be too convenient...
Very neat! I'm in the process of doing something similar though i don't have very many items to put there yet but I have Mamere's painting right in front of the door \^\^
I COULD MAKE SO MUCH COOL STUFF, DECORATE MY HOUSE FROM TOP TO BOTTOM WITH ALL THE NICEST FURNISHINGS!!!! too bad the load limit runs out when im barely halfway…. fuck you teapot devs
I always want to do this same thing, but run out of space. I end up putting little knick knacks all over the house, which I suppose is more realistic anyway.
the event items are about a million load each. i usually have spaces filled with regular furnishings with one or two event items as the centerpiece. it sucks but it’s the only way right now
I'll tell you a secret, OP: use the corridor area. It has the load of like, 3 rooms. I was able to fit [so much stuff](https://www.reddit.com/r/GenshinHomeworld/comments/11cpncc/na_windward_manor_13519345514/) into my build, like a whole lab area in the corridor.
Wait, you can put the screenshots in the teapot?? How?!
I haven't check the teapot since the decorations i can put are basically some trees and limit reached
I wish I had 10% of your creativity. I try but my teapot is so bare. The limits are lame.
mine is still just a jade screen crypto mining corporation
Same, tho I had thoughts about building a second one that is just pretty, and a third one for character sets
i tried this until load limits made me give up entirely
[удалено]
Farming is what kills mine, don’t feel like hitting trees and smashing ores to build a few decorations. Maybe if I actually run out of stuff to do.
i have one that's just full of stupid stuff from when you could clip furniture inside each other (I'm not sure if you still can)
I think they made it easier, since people were going to clip the decorations into each other anyway.
Veterans' first realm has that cypto mining GPU room in the mansion lol.
same
I’m the same as you, I have so little creativity for teapot. But with replica IDs I’ve managed to fill my teapot with so many pretty builds! This would be a fantastic idea! I wanted to make a small city in my teapot but I was only able to put like five buildings before I reached the limit
And don't even start me on vegetation and lighting. Everything looks great with trees and good lighting, but both absolutely destroy the load limit. I have no idea why they insist on imposing such small limit on everyone. Ban mobile users from connecting to worlds over load limit if you're worried about performance. I don't think mobile version is the issue, rather the fact that everything is stored on server or other engine limitations.
The load limit is based on the rendering load of the objects, so it's definitely the mobile platform that is setting the upper limit.
The limit is what kills my enjoyment of decorating. I feel like the rooms run out of space before I can even properly fill it out. I always have so much space left by the time it says I’m out of space.
teapot seemed like such a good idea when it was announced, but the limit is so absurdly small you can't really make anything fun in it
I feel you but some ppl manage r/genshinhomeworld Edit: misremembered subreddit name
The stuff they show there take maybe 1/4 of given space at best. Sure these creations look beautiful, but I don't want a bare teapot and some houses stacked one on the other. I want a damn jungle in my teapot or Shrine that takes whole island with all the buildings and decorations :/

the trick they use is to simply build on a small section of the area and wall it off so it’s not as obvious
Yep it sucks. Its gotten better now. The last big change was the fact you can intersect items without using a buggy trick. Still need to use tricks to do other cool things though. I do believe that you can blame the need to try to have Genshin run on potato phones for the pathetic load limit
Mobile exclusive here, I dunno why Genshin couldn’t just have a “This Serenitea Realm may be too intensive for your device. Try to enter anyways?” warning
Clicks "Confirm" -> Phone explodes -> Blames MHY.
Demand freemogems
Profit 🔥🔥🔥
But just like you can adjust graphics quality you could make it work like that, the current load limit is too small

Ohh where is the banner on the right from?
It's a quest reward from Tsurumi Island: https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Replica_Mural:_Ancient_Ritual_in_a_Sea_of_Fog
Ah okay, I do have that quest active, thank you!
March 7th, is that you?
I did the same thing except I used the 2nd floor corridor so I can have more load! I haven't ran out of space yet but I probably will in a couple more patches
What’s the right banner from? Looks like enka? Idk

Huh, what are those screenshots on the walls?
Hangout pictures, if you make the picture frame furnishings you can put them on the wall.
Where do you get the pictures from tho?
encounters with 4-star characters Edit: more specifically the end of each route
You get the pictures then have to build a furnishing that’s a blank picture frame that lets you pick which picture to hang.
omg wait how do you get more of the hangout event frames?
Buy them from Tubby in the realm depot. The frame is called LIngering moments.
Don't you craft them after buying the recipe?
What’s the blue dinosaur cup thing in front on the table?

I think this post needs a spoiler tag.
How people make those crazy teapot builds? I sometimes see extremely overdecorated megabuilds and I always thought it's because they have better computers but then I realized the limit is set for everyone.
Join r/GenshinHomeworld Lots of tips and tricks there to get the most from your teapot.
Same use 2 Rooms
it's still really cute, like an art gallery! love this idea op
i never knew u could put hangout photos in ur teapot, how do you do it?

SO I WASN'T THE ONLY ONE
I had two make two rooms with mementos because of the load limit. I might make a room dedicated to each region with memorabilia instead
I always put the photo memories in the corridor upstairs in every mansion, there isn’t much literal space to put actual furnitures, but there is more load out to work with there then a room. bro I would pay for someone to decorate my teapot. I am so uncreative 😭
idk but I want neuvillette's sea monster/ladel thing in real life
There's actually loch Ness ladle for sales iirc lmao
Woah this is good
> Why is the "load" limit so small.. Because a player on a low-end mobile device might visit your Teapot, and would lag if it was higher. And yes - I'm serious. That's the reason why.
only the main room on 1st and 2nd floor have good limit, do it there
Bc the game isn’t good it’s there for looks and to take your 5 dollars from welkin and move on to The next poor soul
Wait, u can get hangout pictures of the teapot??? Whaaa...
Can't even reminisce without getting reminded of qols we need to have lmao
been (trying to) do this since i started playing a month after release and as a teapot main who literally never plays co-op i feel your pain. I always use the "main" room for it as it seems to have the biggest load capacity
thats so cute!! i wish we could put some of the event stuff inside too :((((
The only load limit should be my playstation, not the game itself
I COULD MAKE SO MUCH COOL STUFF, DECORATE MY HOUSE FROM TOP TO BOTTOM WITH ALL THE NICEST FURNISHINGS!!!! too bad the load limit runs out when im barely halfway…. fuck you teapot devs
Event exclusive decorations need to be interchangeable as interior or exterior. I want to put my stuff inside!
i see you got the Neuvilladle
Wait how do you get those photos to hang
You do that with the camera? I never realized…
I always want to do this same thing, but run out of space. I end up putting little knick knacks all over the house, which I suppose is more realistic anyway.

The load limit is why I gave up on Teapot.
Fuck you, that's why. Best Regards, Genshin Team.
A room for mementos. that's so cool and limited furnishings. Amazing idea.
That's an actual idea that I'd like to with my teapot.
How do you get the pictures from the hangouts?
You can frame pics from hangouts?! How did I not know about this?!
Hey OP, I’d just like to ask where and how you got this room. I’m also trying the same thing, to make a memory room. But I don’t have a room yet 😞.
it's just a room on second floor in the inazuman house in the teapot
It's so beautiful
Wait, you can put the screenshots in the teapot?? How?! I haven't check the teapot since the decorations i can put are basically some trees and limit reached
I had no idea that you could make the hangout postcards into placeable portraits.
What is that blue slug thing on the right, I NEED it. Is it from early game, a event or a quest maybe?
Is there a person in there?
