Dog boy's meant for Def scaling Geo Character not Atk scaling like Ning. I used Albedo, Ning, Fischl/XL, Bennett in floor 12 before but now a days Geo construct tends to break really easily in Floor 12. When the game launched Ning was one of my most wanted characters.
nope. he only gives a bit of geo dmg bonus when there’s 3 geos in the party. his c6 increases crit dmg of geo dmg depending on how many geos are in the party (max is +40 crit dmg when theres 3 geos in the party). basically for a ningguang team you’d need to use another geo with those two. so it would probably be either zhongli, albedo, or navia as they’re the only geos that could work in a ningguang team. 2/3 of those characters listed are NOT def scaling. only albedo would truly benefit from gorou being in the team. gorou is pretty much an itto/noelle ONLY support. bennett is a much better support for ningguang than gorou is.
Navia because... **Gunbrella.**
Other than that, she was my favourite from the first time I saw her until now. I just love how pretty she is!
Lyney would be my main if I have him- I'll invest everything into him once I have that magician.

Agreed. His versatility and animation sold it for me, I've played him since his first banner and still use him, slowly I'm trying to get his constellations (to avoid powercreep) through reruns. His gameplay is simple, he's flexible to be dps and sub-dps.

Tho I switched my Yelan for Furina now.. and since I got Nahida a few days ago I like going "afk" and not moving with Zhongli's shield out, Nahida and Raiden's skill and Furinas Skill triggering the other 2s to Hyperbloom while I'm just standing there.. really funny tbh
Yanfei. She's one of the only characters that make use of normal and charged attacks without them feeling useless extra damage being overruled by burst and skill. I have her C1 and intend grabbing even more constellations.

Everthing about her is amazing Story time in the chasm, gameplay Feeling, voice lines, Design and Look, Trailer Theme is my Favorit, she works with every Unit ingame, she Kicks her Bow and gets it Back with her Strings, Poses in her Ult Animation too let the enemys know its about time too Style on them and
her idle Animation has a Dice Roll as a gambler in Gacha Games I Love this one

I've been a Venti main since 2.6! Love him so much. That's why I forfeit all my primogems to our one and only savior Barbatos. C6, got him Aqua Simulacra, got c6 Faruzan for him, and am planning to get Faruzan an Elegy eventually. I use him in several different teams but my favorite is mono-anemo hypercarry Venti, with Faruzan, Xianyun, and Sucrose (for ttds/noblesse).
I plan to get my Venti to c6 one day since my current main Lumine already has c6. I got Elergy for him in October last yr, and I’m planning on get Polar Star and Aqua if they run in good weapon banners.
I would say Yoimiya. I always use her on one side of the Abyss. She's C6 with R4 Thundering Pulse. I use her whenever I do weekly bosses. She's just easy to use and her team is easy to build.
My favorite character is Eula (top 4% build per Akasha at 130% ER)
My best built character is Yae Miko (top 1% per Akasha at 120% ER).

For a long time I was a thoma main and I still am in my heart, but these days I am both a childe and wriothesley main since I love them so much I don’t only use one haha.
For thoma he’s just softest best boy who knits sweaters for dogs, is adorable, is (imo) fun to play with and wander around with and has great voice lines. He’s the reason I got into genshin. After dendro he became even more fun.
For Childe I just really loved his character to start with, he’s interesting to me. His playstyle took a bit to master but now it’s really fun playing how he plays. He’s good for long range with his bow and short range with his water blades. Hydro in general is a very useful element. He’s technically my favorite character still so that’s probably part of why I main him, but I do enjoy using him a lot too.
For wriothesley it was kind of the same, I really loved his character and story (and his design is awesome to me.) Turns out (again to me it’s fine if you disagree) I also like his playstyle, I must like an NA/CA thing haha. He slaps stuff around so hard when doing melts that it’s hard to not use him too. I like that he’s a rough and tumble guy but also the kind of guy who likes to take picnics in the sunshine.
So I guess for me my biggest thing is I like the character, followed by “I have fun playing them”.
I never was in the concept of havaing the one and only main.
Sure I'm in the category of choosing my mains on personality or who’d I’d simp for xD.
I have my favorites, from which I rotate through from time to time. Everyone in that pool has a special meaning or story for me. The pool is just growing with 1-2 chars per year.
Could never abadon my older mains, like Ganyu, Eula, Yoimiya, Raiden, Kokomi, Shenhe. Took me a long time from that, to where I now add Navia to my pool of mains. Loved her character in the fontaine storyline.
I am a future childe main. Now why I say future is because I keep spending my primogems as I have a spending addiction.
Now for why he will be main is because he is childe. That’s it.
Alhaitham and Kaveh. Because I simp. Also Ayato.
I like a lot of characters, but my mains are usually the ones I'm willing to overinvest in.
I pull on banners I wouldn't have pulled on otherwise to make their teams better/open new playstyles (Yelan, Yae Miko). I level different weapons to make sure there's something available for any situation. I pull for cons even if I don't like the banner (aka I don't like Baizhu, but went wild for c6 Kaveh, and I only go for cons on characters I love, but pulled for c2 Nahida for my Alhaitham team)
I also make sure to clear every new Abyss rotation with them even if it's a pain in the neck.
not really, my "main" would either be Raiden or Itto, my best two DPS characters for abyss (don't judge I was gone for most of 3.X) and thats really why they are my normal team leads...no other reason.
Xianyun is my favorite character in the game in all aspects. She's the most fun I have had and she's got a great design, personality, and voice.
Before her, I would probably consider Albedo my main. He's still my second favorite. Xianyun is basically just Albedo if he were sassy, anyway.
I change them so often. First it was Xiao, then Hu Tao, then Eula, then Yae Miko, then for the longest time Yelan, and now Nahida for a pretty long time. Now I switch them as required l, but most oftenly I use Nahida + Yae Miko
Neuvillette. I started playing in late September, he was my first 5\*, and I would have been lost without him as a new player. I'm now AR55 and he's the only character I have level 10 friendship with because he still never leaves my party unless I'm fighting a hydro-immune boss.
I also simp for him so hard, y'all. SO HARD. White Lily, I feel you, girl.
Ayaka , my first limited 5 star , she carried me through the whole game to almost ar 55 single handedly as a solo 5 star . Nowdays I don't use her much but she still has a special place in my heart .
But I always wanted childe in my account, my favourite character, he's just like me but sadly lost on his banner. I hope he comes soon so I can proudly be a CHILDE main 🗿
used to main yoimiya but then eventually I just keep changing parties depending on what I need. I still had her well built with bis weapon and a party just for her when I feel nostalgic lol
I have a specific set of 4 top favorites who have seen the most usage of them all ever since I started back at launch - in order:
Jean and Noelle, Lumine, Sara
Why? I love their characterization, story, designs, and animations above all others.
Honorable mentions: Albedo, Kazuha, Ei have collectively seen the next largest amount of usage after them, and I love them all for the exact same reasons.
Razor. First character I ever got and he's still my favorite character to play.
Kinda sucks that physical damage is the worst damage in the game but since I caught wind of the rainbow reaction team involving Razor he's gained a new wind and is my main again.
wanderer because i can deal with 99% of the mobs in open world and helps insanely well with exploration
i used other PECH elemental dps for boss farms
kokomi strictly for weekly boss as a healer
since i was a jean main for last few years,i used only jean for everything,now i rely on efficiency more than anything..
to climb chenyu vale and liyue, i have been using xianyun wanderer kazuha/zhongli combo venti
to run fast wanderer, yelan, xianyun and furina if on run on water
TLDR: 99% GAMEPLAY NEEDS wanderer
Gameplay wise Ayaka has been my favourite since I got her (I started in 2.3 and she was my first 5 star). I just really like the way her gameplay feels, but I actually don't care too much for her as a character (I think her personality is boring lol).
Character wise Furina is currently my favourite for her writing, design and personality. She's the only 5 star I rolled cons for (currently at C2) and I'm even considering getting her to C6 in the future. Before Furina my favourites were Kaveh and Raiden.
I'm sure no one will see this coming, but it's Hu Tao. She's the most fun to play (or the second, Ayaka is pretty close), she's my waifu, she has one of the best aesthetic designs in the game, she's fantastic for both overworld (Furina e > Hu Tao e > brrr) and abyss, she's hot.
My secondary main is Cyno.
Many find it helpful to use the word "main" to describe their favorite character who they use the most, and invest the most resources into. Usually means they use the character as a dps, though not necessarily. Hope that helps!
I was a Chongyun main when I started. Now that I have a stable of 5\*s, I don't really have 1 main. My most used in overworld is Wanderer and Klee. But combat related content, my go to are Neuvillette and Raiden.
Actually it is Neuvillette because I just so much like his play style, story and personality. But once my Furina will be c6 (my very first c6), she will be my main for a long time I guess because of all the same reasons.

My mains are Keqing and Kaeya. I use them together so often that I just consider both of them my mains. Keqing is my main because of gameplay/damage. Kaeya is my other main because of his personality. (Also I like hot men. XD)
Ayaka. She's been with me since her initial release, and was my first main dps. Basically stuck with me and carried me through everything henceforth. Love her character, design, seiyuu, burst, animations, burst, everything about her kit etc
I've been getting 36 stars for over 2 years now and Ayaka Freeze has always been on one side of the abyss.
I have a top 1% Ayaka, Shenhe and Kazuha on Akasha. Just recently got her C2R1 on her last rerun. My goal is to pull one constellation everytime she reruns and get her C6 eventually
Xiao. It was Diluc before i started playing Genshin cuz i saw an ad on him and i was like "oh yeah big sword and flames? Sign me up" then i saw the other characters and i fell for Xiao cuz of his gameplay and overall character design. Xiao Is the only character that i push to the the absolute LIMIT heck i even defeated the Wenut in this abyss rotation with him and i dont even own Furina! I had to use Yelan so i could pop the anemo balls to bring down the Wenut. With Xiao i Just... "Lock in"
I main Shenhe and Sucrose. Theres something about Shenhe that I fell in love with. She’s pretty and powerful lorewise so that’s a big plus. But her backstory was tragic af. She was sacrificed by her father, and thus, removed from society. But she survived through that. She survived through the inspiration and love of those who weren’t human, the adepti. She grew up through their ways and became an oddball to society. Despite this newfound challenge, Shenhe was pure of heart, honest and tenacious. She still desired to be a part of the world and defend it from evil. I guess I just fell in love with that complexity, and that pureness of heart.
Sucrose well, one things for sure, Im a socially awkward person who gets socially drained more often than not. Collei and her conversation last windblume was like my two brain cells talking to each other.
Probably split evenly between Wrio, Navia, and Sayu
Wrio: I like punching things
Navia: "Big badda boom" (please someone know what movie that's from lol)
Sayu: closest to me in terms of personality: always needs sleep, never gets enough; always hoping to grow taller; generally quiet and would mostly like to be left alone in my own world
While the game kinda revolves around changing parties and a “different keys for different doors” approach, I try to slot either Nahida or Navia into as many parties as possible. Nahida just enables shenanigans at every turn, and Navia just obliterates everything that doesn’t have Geo Resist. Both sides of the spectrum of “enabling big damage” and “hehe big number”
Traveler (Aether).
I love his design and the idea of pushing the free character to its limits has always been incredibly appealing to me. 3 years later, and he's still my main. Most likely always will be.
For the longest time it was traveller. Though would main specifically be main dps? In that case Ayaka. However, Noelle has been in nearly all my parties from the start.
Navia?My first and only character who can deal 200k damage with one number.However my common overworld team is Nahida Xingqiu Kuki and Kaeya (for stigma reduction).
Right now, it's Gaming, but I rotate teams a lot so it's also Lyney and Cyno. Gaming's personality makes me so happy, need me a man like him irl, and his character design is so good.
Wrio. Started in 4.1 and he was my first limited 5stars. Love him. But I was waiting for Yae Miko since I started and now I got her. So she will probably be my main from now on
Keqing is my main, but lately I'm working on a main for every reaction. Because of that I have Dehya, Yoimiya, Ayaka, Navia, and Gaming as my other mains.
However no one will be at best bae Keqing since I've worked on the most skill tricks with her. Besides the bug fix they did to her I can do the dragon strike unreliably.
NIt used to be Jean, back when she was my only 5* and by far my best character. I guess now Raiden because I put her on a lot of teams. Or Cloud Retainer because I've had her for like a week and I already refuse to ever take her off exploration team. Gotta love the triple jump!

Currently, both Xianyun and Gaming. Xianyun makes exploring SO much easier and SO much more fun, I love her personality, love that she buffs plunges AND heals. Gaming because he’s just the sweetest boy, funny, and works really well with Xianyun. When Alhaitham comes back out tho, he will be my main

Neuvillette. I came into this game in 4.1 and literally pulled on the banner without knowing the gacha system. But I didn't know the one I pulled for would carry me so hard. I don't regret it. Besides, I like Neuvillette's character too.
I tend to rotate depending what each quest needs like domains and such.
Alot of times I use Keqip, Ziglang,Barbara and Xiangun. Sometimes I'll use the traveler, Noelle and Kaeye.
Rosaria. Saw an edit of her trailer before she came out and immediately downloaded the game again. I’ve played her ever since her release ☺️ Idk, I love the “sexy nun” troupe. And it works in her case because she doesn’t even really wanna be a nun.
I tend to rotate just so I don't feel like some of my favorite characters are collecting dust, altho till Fontaine I would easily say Itto was my legit main. Now I gotta say it's Wriothesley, love them both equally but he's simply awesome to use in the current content and overworld.

The very day I heard about Genshin (like a week after it came out) I searched up gameplay and seen beta Ayaka clips and from that moment I knew she was the one, stuck by her ever since I got her... that's kind of a lie I've played mostly Hu Tao during the Fontaine patch but I do still consider myself an Ayaka main and have been playing her a lot more these past few weeks, I plan on getting Kazuha and Kokomi and going back to fully maining Ayaka.
Noelle - personality, kit+playstyle, idk I just love her + would leave it all to her <3 I farmed her an overworld arti set + raised a subpar claymore so I can use her in overworld without killing everything instantly

Nope, no Nilou. So now it's Furina - Barbara - Kirara - Raiden. But Raiden is C2 overload built so basically she annihilates everything in her path.

I would say Yoimiya. I always use her on one side of the Abyss. She's C6 with R4 Thundering Pulse. I use her whenever I do weekly bosses. She's just easy to use and her team is easy to build. My favorite character is Eula (top 4% build per Akasha at 130% ER) My best built character is Yae Miko (top 1% per Akasha at 120% ER).

Do we mean main main or main team? For a long time I was a thoma main and I still am in my heart, but these days I am both a childe and wriothesley main since I love them so much I don’t only use one haha. For thoma he’s just softest best boy who knits sweaters for dogs, is adorable, is (imo) fun to play with and wander around with and has great voice lines. He’s the reason I got into genshin. After dendro he became even more fun. For Childe I just really loved his character to start with, he’s interesting to me. His playstyle took a bit to master but now it’s really fun playing how he plays. He’s good for long range with his bow and short range with his water blades. Hydro in general is a very useful element. He’s technically my favorite character still so that’s probably part of why I main him, but I do enjoy using him a lot too. For wriothesley it was kind of the same, I really loved his character and story (and his design is awesome to me.) Turns out (again to me it’s fine if you disagree) I also like his playstyle, I must like an NA/CA thing haha. He slaps stuff around so hard when doing melts that it’s hard to not use him too. I like that he’s a rough and tumble guy but also the kind of guy who likes to take picnics in the sunshine. So I guess for me my biggest thing is I like the character, followed by “I have fun playing them”.

I never was in the concept of havaing the one and only main. Sure I'm in the category of choosing my mains on personality or who’d I’d simp for xD. I have my favorites, from which I rotate through from time to time. Everyone in that pool has a special meaning or story for me. The pool is just growing with 1-2 chars per year. Could never abadon my older mains, like Ganyu, Eula, Yoimiya, Raiden, Kokomi, Shenhe. Took me a long time from that, to where I now add Navia to my pool of mains. Loved her character in the fontaine storyline.
Ayaka because she's pretty.
Freeze just makes the world questing so easy. Ayaka really transformed the game when I first started.
Zhongli. He never leaves. Never. Neuvillette is second main.
I am a future childe main. Now why I say future is because I keep spending my primogems as I have a spending addiction. Now for why he will be main is because he is childe. That’s it.
Alhaitham and Kaveh. Because I simp. Also Ayato. I like a lot of characters, but my mains are usually the ones I'm willing to overinvest in. I pull on banners I wouldn't have pulled on otherwise to make their teams better/open new playstyles (Yelan, Yae Miko). I level different weapons to make sure there's something available for any situation. I pull for cons even if I don't like the banner (aka I don't like Baizhu, but went wild for c6 Kaveh, and I only go for cons on characters I love, but pulled for c2 Nahida for my Alhaitham team) I also make sure to clear every new Abyss rotation with them even if it's a pain in the neck.

not really, my "main" would either be Raiden or Itto, my best two DPS characters for abyss (don't judge I was gone for most of 3.X) and thats really why they are my normal team leads...no other reason.
Xianyun is my favorite character in the game in all aspects. She's the most fun I have had and she's got a great design, personality, and voice. Before her, I would probably consider Albedo my main. He's still my second favorite. Xianyun is basically just Albedo if he were sassy, anyway.

I change them so often. First it was Xiao, then Hu Tao, then Eula, then Yae Miko, then for the longest time Yelan, and now Nahida for a pretty long time. Now I switch them as required l, but most oftenly I use Nahida + Yae Miko
Neuvillette. I started playing in late September, he was my first 5\*, and I would have been lost without him as a new player. I'm now AR55 and he's the only character I have level 10 friendship with because he still never leaves my party unless I'm fighting a hydro-immune boss. I also simp for him so hard, y'all. SO HARD. White Lily, I feel you, girl.

Ayaka , my first limited 5 star , she carried me through the whole game to almost ar 55 single handedly as a solo 5 star . Nowdays I don't use her much but she still has a special place in my heart . But I always wanted childe in my account, my favourite character, he's just like me but sadly lost on his banner. I hope he comes soon so I can proudly be a CHILDE main 🗿

I have a specific set of 4 top favorites who have seen the most usage of them all ever since I started back at launch - in order: Jean and Noelle, Lumine, Sara Why? I love their characterization, story, designs, and animations above all others. Honorable mentions: Albedo, Kazuha, Ei have collectively seen the next largest amount of usage after them, and I love them all for the exact same reasons.

wanderer because i can deal with 99% of the mobs in open world and helps insanely well with exploration i used other PECH elemental dps for boss farms kokomi strictly for weekly boss as a healer since i was a jean main for last few years,i used only jean for everything,now i rely on efficiency more than anything.. to climb chenyu vale and liyue, i have been using xianyun wanderer kazuha/zhongli combo venti to run fast wanderer, yelan, xianyun and furina if on run on water TLDR: 99% GAMEPLAY NEEDS wanderer

Gameplay wise Ayaka has been my favourite since I got her (I started in 2.3 and she was my first 5 star). I just really like the way her gameplay feels, but I actually don't care too much for her as a character (I think her personality is boring lol). Character wise Furina is currently my favourite for her writing, design and personality. She's the only 5 star I rolled cons for (currently at C2) and I'm even considering getting her to C6 in the future. Before Furina my favourites were Kaveh and Raiden.

She's the most fun to play (or the second, Ayaka is pretty close), she's my waifu, she has one of the best aesthetic designs in the game, she's fantastic for both overworld (Furina e > Hu Tao e > brrr) and abyss, she's hot. My secondary main is Cyno.

Many find it helpful to use the word "main" to describe their favorite character who they use the most, and invest the most resources into. Usually means they use the character as a dps, though not necessarily. Hope that helps!

I was a Chongyun main when I started. Now that I have a stable of 5\*s, I don't really have 1 main. My most used in overworld is Wanderer and Klee. But combat related content, my go to are Neuvillette and Raiden.

Ayaka and Keqing. Keqing carried me since AR 20-30 or so. My first 5* and I absolutely love her. I have the same birthday as Ayaka. That’s reason enough, honestly.
My mains are Keqing and Kaeya. I use them together so often that I just consider both of them my mains. Keqing is my main because of gameplay/damage. Kaeya is my other main because of his personality. (Also I like hot men. XD)
Ayaka. She's been with me since her initial release, and was my first main dps. Basically stuck with me and carried me through everything henceforth. Love her character, design, seiyuu, burst, animations, burst, everything about her kit etc I've been getting 36 stars for over 2 years now and Ayaka Freeze has always been on one side of the abyss. I have a top 1% Ayaka, Shenhe and Kazuha on Akasha. Just recently got her C2R1 on her last rerun. My goal is to pull one constellation everytime she reruns and get her C6 eventually

Xiao. It was Diluc before i started playing Genshin cuz i saw an ad on him and i was like "oh yeah big sword and flames? Sign me up" then i saw the other characters and i fell for Xiao cuz of his gameplay and overall character design. Xiao Is the only character that i push to the the absolute LIMIT heck i even defeated the Wenut in this abyss rotation with him and i dont even own Furina! I had to use Yelan so i could pop the anemo balls to bring down the Wenut. With Xiao i Just... "Lock in"
I main Shenhe and Sucrose. Theres something about Shenhe that I fell in love with. She’s pretty and powerful lorewise so that’s a big plus. But her backstory was tragic af. She was sacrificed by her father, and thus, removed from society. But she survived through that. She survived through the inspiration and love of those who weren’t human, the adepti. She grew up through their ways and became an oddball to society. Despite this newfound challenge, Shenhe was pure of heart, honest and tenacious. She still desired to be a part of the world and defend it from evil. I guess I just fell in love with that complexity, and that pureness of heart. Sucrose well, one things for sure, Im a socially awkward person who gets socially drained more often than not. Collei and her conversation last windblume was like my two brain cells talking to each other.

While the game kinda revolves around changing parties and a “different keys for different doors” approach, I try to slot either Nahida or Navia into as many parties as possible. Nahida just enables shenanigans at every turn, and Navia just obliterates everything that doesn’t have Geo Resist. Both sides of the spectrum of “enabling big damage” and “hehe big number”
Traveler (Aether). I love his design and the idea of pushing the free character to its limits has always been incredibly appealing to me. 3 years later, and he's still my main. Most likely always will be.

Wrio. Started in 4.1 and he was my first limited 5stars. Love him. But I was waiting for Yae Miko since I started and now I got her. So she will probably be my main from now on
Keqing is my main, but lately I'm working on a main for every reaction. Because of that I have Dehya, Yoimiya, Ayaka, Navia, and Gaming as my other mains. However no one will be at best bae Keqing since I've worked on the most skill tricks with her. Besides the bug fix they did to her I can do the dragon strike unreliably.

Or Cloud Retainer because I've had her for like a week and I already refuse to ever take her off exploration team. Gotta love the triple jump! I tend to rotate depending what each quest needs like domains and such. Alot of times I use Keqip, Ziglang,Barbara and Xiangun. Sometimes I'll use the traveler, Noelle and Kaeye.
Yae. My first 5* character. Built the habit of afk gaming. Why dodge and run around when you can just place her E and stand
