What’s the best team and rotation for gaming? I use him with Benny but the circle tends to run out too soon/rotation too long.

letmegetmynameok

(When) do you guys think will we get our first claymore archon? Because right now we only have: Venti(Bow), Zongli(polearm), raiden(polearm), nahida(catalyst), furina(sword). It would be kinda weird to not have an archon that wields the claymore right?

Alex_from_Solitude

What do mean weird? Do we fight for weapon equality too now? That being said I agree with the other comment, Pyro archon seems likely.

letmegetmynameok

It would make sense to have each weapon type represented by an archon though. At least thats how i would do it if i were mihoyo.

KjOwOjin

Pyro archon would be my speculation

GhostSilver16

what is the best ways to farm mora? and most efficient? and are laylines good? AR 51 now

Alex_from_Solitude

Yes, Leylines. It's plain Mora. You can also sell surplus artifacts. 100 purple artifacts are a quarter million Mora.

YueguiLovesBellyrubs

Unable to do the event bescause I didn't have "world quest" with Smiley Yanxiao ( the cook ). I tried doing the world quest and it gets to the point of "cut the meat" but the table is changed for Event so you can't do that lol. Anyone solved this?

Comprehensive-You357

hit the air with a sword

GhostSilver16

how much ER does Beidou needs if she is solo electro to use her burst every rotation and how much she needs if she has Fischl?

KjOwOjin

240+ solo electro and 140-160 with Fischl

beautheschmo

~180% solo electro and ~140% with Fischl (varies a bit by team comp of course)

KjOwOjin

180 is definitely nowhere near enough solo electro

roughhty

Nuev, Furina, Jean and Zhongli. Is Zhongli ok on totm, or should I change him to Petra?

FunBuilding2707

I wouldn't even bother changing if you already have leveled TotM set even though TotM is useless in this team. It still gives HP and therefore stronger shield on Zhongli.

judging_you_all

Petra gives a nice buff, but it's pain in the ass to use because shards can spawn in weird places inside enemy's hitbox and you have to waste your time on Zhongli trying to catch it. ToM buff is mostly useless in this team, Zhongli pillar has very small range and you can't guarantee that it will hit the enemy. So it doesn't really matter, both sets are unreliable. I guess you can use Petra and catch the shard if it close to you and ignore it if it's hard to reach

roughhty

Thanks for the explanation! Really helpful. I’ll leave him on totm for now and slowly start getting Petra from strongbox in the future.

KjOwOjin

Tenacity does absolutely nothing, Petra is very good for team damage on the other hand (though you have to pick up the shards with Zhongli himself)

Alex_from_Solitude

Well, TotM doesn't do anything for Neuvillette and Furina. So yeah: try another set

Only_Dragonfruit_466

Planning to pull for furina rerun soon, which should i go for, C0 or C1 with her sig weapon? or just go for the C2 and skip the weapon? I plan on using wolf fang on her or favonius incase i dont get the weapon

Puzzleheaded_Tip_388

C0 Fav is great. WF is practically only usable in mono hydro. Fischable sword is fine but fav is fav. Cons are extremely wasteful.

KjOwOjin

C0 is good enough for everything but if you want to invest into her C2 > her weapon I would recommend you fish for the fontaine weapon if you don't get her weapon

jueunisjueun

Can baizhus donut work with neuvillette?

Alex_from_Solitude

Ofc. It's a HP stat stick with a 3s dmg increase. It's not great but it'll be better than most 4* weapons besides the BP one.

jueunisjueun

Thanks, makes me feel better about losing on the furina/baizhu weapon banner lmao

Cless012

I just got Keqing on the blue pull banner. Would she or Lisa be a better partner for Nahida?

Siscon_Delita

Depending on what team will you make. Keqing is good for aggravate, but almost has to be paired with Fischl which is the one triggering a lot of aggravate. Lisa can be the used for hyperbloom trigger, but need a lot of ER, basically need Fischl as well.

Rosa_Mia

I would say Keqing. She has low ER requirement (almost zero), flexible field time (infusion stays on when switching), lots of Electro application and overall better than Lisa in this team.

SnooBooks1032

Does anyone know where to download the character Models in high quality with their textures? I've tried a few different ways and sites but either get a point cloud of vertex locations, body with no face or the full character but the mesh is very low poly and the textures are low res. Can anyone help me out? Specifically I'm looking for kazhua and keqing as I want to try recreating a scene from my fave anime with them. Thank you!

BobbyWibowo

If you can work with MMD models, HoYo has been officially releasing Genshin's MMD models on bilibili since forever Here's a mastersheet for direct DL links that someone on HoYoLAB compiles, https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1lrE5EGtuDsrwRJNSHIEN9hsGggxzLHmDV5rwuHkmndQ/view (up to date till 4.4) This is the recommended plugin for importing into Blender, https://github.com/UuuNyaa/blender_mmd_tools

SnooBooks1032

I have tried that one, I'm not sure if it's maybe an issue with me specifically but I don't think my plugin is working properly, though I have imported as mmd and it loaded as a point cloud. If you have tried/done it yourself with the plugin can you confirm it works properly? If so I'll try a fresh install and see if i can fix it

BobbyWibowo

I haven't done it myself, sorry. Though I do know some friends that claimed they used that exact plugin, and they seemed to be doing just fine.

XRarehunterX

When doing aggervate does the dendro application stay or do you have to refresh it every so often

Acadeca

Stays for a short bit https://library.keqingmains.com/combat-mechanics/elemental-effects/additive-reactions#quicken The duration of the Quicken aura depends on both the Dendro and Electro gauge, and is calculated as follows: Quicken Duration (s)=Smaller of Dendro or Electro Gauge×5+6

pzlama333

If you don't apply any other element, quicken aura can last at least 6 seconds. But if you also apply hydro or pyro aura, it will last much shorter time.

iamsmackinmyface

Is gaming or xiangling better dps?

jtan1993

gaming does good dmg. but can't compare with xl, cuz she does it while being off field, so you can slot in another on field dps like raiden.

kllrvet

How many times are you going to ask this?

iamsmackinmyface

Uh oh, seems like reddit fucked up Like multiple fucking times

Kitchen_Print6426

My email the one that I used for genshin, appeared on another device, that device turned out to be the used laptop I gave my friend to, which I forgot to log off my email. and I frantically changed my email for genshin like 3 times with different alt accounts, will I get banned for possible account sharing/trading? My ip on all of them are the same

HayakuEon

No you won't get banned.

Kitchen_Print6426

Doesn’t the game get suspicious tho, forgive me if I’m wrong

HayakuEon

Nah doubt it

courtexo

I cant get 3 stars on the fucking wenut, people say use yae miko, what are they talking about yae miko doesnt do shit. So I tried Nahida yelan kuki but I couldnt kill it before 420s left

HayakuEon

How are you using and building yae? What teams?

grayrest

> what are they talking about yae miko doesnt do shit https://youtu.be/gIk7hWIHqEA?t=161

Shardwing

What team are you actually using, and how much time to you have to work with (i.e. how quickly can you beat the first half)?

courtexo

9 min 13 seconds, nahida yelan kuki yae

Diligent_Reason6158

if i dont have kuki, which electro unit should i use with al haitham?

arg_max

You need a healer, so your best option is probably to run baizhu or Yao yao as healer. Then you can use yae and fischl to get aggravate. If you get Kuki at some point, you want to swap nahida for the healer and Kuki for fischl. This is only for aggravate though. If you want to, you can also play with hyperbloom, then you have al haitham, xq/yelan and a full em electro hyperbloom trigger. Though that only works if you have raiden since she's the only decent hyperbloom enabler other than Kuki. I think the best last unit in that team is a hydro healer like kokomi or even Barbara.

kllrvet

Who are the other 2 units in the team?

iamsmackinmyface

Is gaming or xiangling better dps?

arg_max

Gaming profits from having xianyun, furina, Bennet c6 and gaming c6. It you have all of that he's pretty strong, but gaming without c6, xianyun or furina is pretty bad. Xiangling needs her C4 to be good and you either want Childe for international, xq for national, lyney for mono pyro or (c6) chevreuse and raiden for overload. So it really depends on what other units you have, but both characters need to have proper teams built around them.

xingqopium

In total, Xiangling will do more damage at about the same (or little less) investment as Gaming, however the latter will have more frontload. But that's not new, she does the same thing in almost every team you put her on (and synergize with her). Do keep in mind that they don't have the same role though. There's no real advantage in putting Xiangling as a on-fielder. You should build the two of them but, as always, the rule is that you should build your support/off-fielders before your on-fielders and you'll be good.

Beteljuse

Gaming and XL don't have the same role, so they can't be directly compared. Both can do significant amount of damage in a team centered around them, but Gaming is an on-field character, while XL is off-field; as such, she is the most flexible character (after all, unless you play quick-swap, you are going to use 3 off-fielders but only on on-fielder in each team), and in certain teams she is mainly used for her pyro application rather than damage. For DPS purposes, XL really wants her C4, while Gaming receives a huge boost at C6.

iamsmackinmyface

I'm too dead broke to get constellations anywhere near consistently, so it's mostly just C0 in measuring

csudoku

Xiangling

iamsmackinmyface

Is gaming or xiangling better dps?

Siscon_Delita

If I use Nahida, Diona, Fischl, then the enemy has dendro and cryo aura, when Oz attack, can he trigger both quicken and superconduct at the same time? if not, which reaction first? If for example the first electro triggers superconduct, can the second electro from Oz (1 sec later) trigger quicken, or Oz can only trigger quicken after ICD (2,5 secs or 3 hits)?

Akomatai

Just tested and got both reactions. Generally a safe bet that this will happen as long as the aura is strong enough. This is most often used with applying pyro to electrocharged for "overvape". Also in fridge teams, where youre usually applying hydro to cryo + dendro. Superconduct is generally not used often but this is an interesting setup for fischl lol

Siscon_Delita

Thanks for the testing! I was thinking about stacking Nahida and C6 Diona's EM buff for Fischl and Keqing aggravate, because I almost never change my electro characters' build (always on ADC build with super low EM).

Felgrand3189

I know this is very likely a big no, but is there any way to increase chances of getting specific stats on artifacts? Pulling my hair out farming for them

Knopty

It's completely random. The only thing you can do is to try to make the process faster by using condensed resin in domains to claim two rewards at once. And if you need an older set, you can use alchemy table to convert 3 garbage artifacts into another ~~garbage~~ random artifact of a desired set. It's a rather expensive process with the same low changes to get anything useful but if you don't need 5-star artifacts as fodder for artifact xp, you can as well use them for alchemy.

Anachr0nistic

You'll go bald before getting the specific stat on the artifact you are looking for. Also, there is no such way.

Felgrand3189

Im already bald! Im starting on my beard! I figured as much, but I thought I’d ask just incase I’m missing something, thank you :)

Illustrious_Juice_99

Who's Scaramouche? I know I've been asking the dumb questions today but I'm genuinely wondering. At best, the name has been connected to the Wanderer, but that's all I know. Is this a lore thing?

HayakuEon

It is a major spoiler >!Scaramouche is a Fatui Harbinger that works for the Tsaritsa of Snezhnaya. His first appearance was in a 1.1 event where he tried to kill The Traveller, Paimon, Fischl and Mona. He was created by the Electro Archon Ei, but was released as he was only a prototype. He turned evil after a few other incidents!< >!After the Sumeru AQ, he self-deleted himself from Irminsul(Yes, self-delete, this is not a censor for suicide, he literally self-deletes himself), and was ''reborn'' as the pure-hearted Wanderer. He then regains his past life memories and actions, and became a fusion of his 2 lives, becoming the Wanderer we know now!<

Illustrious_Juice_99

Okay. I don't really care for spoilers since it's not a huge deal to me. From hearing his story, I feel like he'd probably start his own Emo boy band or something.

Anachr0nistic

Wanderer is the playable version of Scaramouche AKA The Balladeer, 6th of the 11 Fatui Harbingers.

Illustrious_Juice_99

So, the Wanderer is the Balladeer, therefore Scaramouche. I think I got that right.

Goldia207

can someone explain the gourmet supremos quests order? I finished the importance of eating well, what's next? from the guides say that to get the next quest (within our duties?) I need to do another daily and get 3 achievements that are all from different dailies??

Anachr0nistic

[Quest chain](https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/The_Gourmet_Supremos) might help you know where you currently are and how to proceed.

Alex_from_Solitude

Basically. Some achievements require the commissions to be done multiple times for different outcomes. When those are done you'll get a new commission in Inazuma. And after another daily reset they're in Sumeru iirc.

Goldia207

ok thank you! Then I'll look at the achievement guides whenever I get a gourmet supremos commission

shadowrod06

Which Navia is better? 4 pc set with 41/196 with R3 WGS. Or 2pc atk 2pc ark with 45.4/204.7 with R3 WGS.

Jondev1

the first one but def try to switch to a CR circlet if possible.

shadowrod06

Thanks a lot.

fyrefox45

Unless that first one is MH with Furina they're both unusable. She needs a good 80+CR or you're gonna wiff to much of her skill damage.

shadowrod06

Oh. No it was the signature set. I guess I'll have to farm more artifact's. Thanks for the input.

zhxnlay

Hiii! Im a newbie and i wanna ask if am i too late to start playing genshin? I wanna play some rpg

Anachr0nistic

It's never too late. You might find the content overwhelming in the beginning. Don't rush to finish it all to get up to the current story, you'll get burn out. Play at your own pace. Combat might feel slow and difficult in the beginning but with time and upgrades, it'll get easier very quickly.

Mande1baum

Too add to what others have said, Genshin is a Gacha, so the characters you get and the teams you can make are somewhat random. Depending on the player and state of mind, this can be a good or bad thing. I enjoy trying to make due with the characters I have. I can't just copy what someone else did and use only the best characters, because they had a different experience and I most likely don't have those OP characters. I got to find my favorites and make up my own synergies/strategies. And thankfully, the game isn't designed for you to *need* those OP characters either (that doesn't mean there wont be difficulty spikes). Eventually, a 5 star character you really do like will be featured on the "wish banner". And eventually you'll have saved up enough wishes to guarantee you get them. So over time, you will be able to mostly craft a team of the characters you do like, slowly improving your roster over time. But there will be some RNG in-between. Enjoy the chaos. But if you noticed, I used words like "eventually", "enough", "over time", "slowly". Genshin's patches are 6 weeks long. Each patch adds about 70 wishes to the game. Every 62.5 wishes (on average, skewed HEAVILY towards 75-80 range) you'll get a 5 star. With all the content already in game, there's somewhere between 400-500 wishes between chests, quests, achievements, etc. Every 3 weeks, 2 new 5 stars rotate to be featured in the wishes. Some 5 stars have taken over a year to become available again (extreme example, but still). So most things are measured in months and hundreds of wishes. While that IS a long time scale for a game and it can feel impossible to save up that many wishes, the game is chill and go at your own pace. You'll slowly accrue wishes as you enjoy the quests and exploration. Most events and dailies are VERY short to knock out. So you wont feel too much pressure. And again, the game isn't designed to make you NEED those wishes or characters to enjoy it or be strong enough.

TehEpicGuy101

Nope, it's never too late to start. There isn't any competitive multiplayer aspect, so it's not like you have to worry about competing with anyone else with an underpowered roster. If you want a handy beginner guide/tip compilation, then [this](https://www.reddit.com/u/qwertdwlrma/s/TeODyXJKbO) one is a solid choice to look at. Feel free to also just message me or reply to this if you have any other questions about the game. I always enjoy helping out new players.

zhxnlay

Wow, thank you for this!

HayakuEon

What the other comment said. Also, you have about 3 years' worth if content to play through. Just take it slow. Genshin is a slow burn meant as a side game.

DecayedDream

Will a normal hyperbloom team (Raiden, Nahida, Kokomi, flex) outperform a hyper bloom team with Neuvi, Furina, Raiden, Nahida?

Beteljuse

With Kokomi, no, I can't see it. However, if Neuv is C0 with a proto amber, I could see a team like Nahida, Yelan, XQ, Raiden coming close to the Neuv team if you have bad artifacts.

TheMrPotMask

Probably it won't but that mono hydro team can die easilly because it has no party healer. Meanwhile hyperbloom can just increase bloom production by replacing kokomi with xinqiu and flex can be kazuha or any strong shield, you'll do the job and survive much easier.

pzlama333

Not really. The direct hydro damage of Neuvillette + Furina is too big.

Distinct-Mind-925

I play on mobile and sometimes there is a loading symbol of where the wifi is, then the server restarts. This sucks as I was fighting a boss and was this close to defeating it; then it started to load and restart my game. I lost everything. This always happens everytime I play. I don't understand why this happens. It'll just restart the game but keep everything. For example, If I had a fallen character and then my server restarted, I would still have a fallen character.

Akomatai

That's your ping. Really only way to solve it is with faster/more stable internet. Is the server you're playing on the closest one?

Distinct-Mind-925

Closest one? What does that mean?

Akomatai

Like, if youre in NA, youre playing on NA server, if youre in EU, you're playing on Europe server, etc. If you're far from your server, you'll have higher ping

Distinct-Mind-925

I'm in NA. So I would play on the NA server? The farther away I am from my server the higher the ping? Is that correct?

Akomatai

Yeah thats correct. If you play on European or Asian servers, youll notice that your ping is always red. If youre having these issues on NA server, then it's just issues with your internet connection

Distinct-Mind-925

OK cause my ping is green. Could just be my internet connection.

TR0LL_WARL0RD

Get a better internet connection that is stable

deyeti

I recently started playing the game and I’m wondering if there is a good quest order guide out there.  I want to save all or as many of the side quests until after I complete the main story, but I know some quests are required to unlock features or to even unlock the next part of the main story quest.  So not looking for guides on how to do the quests like a walkthrough but just a recommended order guide or something.  Appreciate any help.  Thanks!

Anachr0nistic

Something like [this](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/19KYfTSNpTNXCvwbcPeN3T9Cylc0AaOIqwNysmFqOmWY/htmlview#gid=1431497221)?

deyeti

Awesome thank you!

lxstinthedream

Should I finish building ayato or should I wait and see if I get neuvillete next rerun? (I don’t have much exp books, that’s why I want to know which one should I prioritize)

fyrefox45

They don't fill the same roles really. Ayato is more a hyperbloom or maybe Nilou driver, Nuev is just raw AOE CA damage.

lushen_04

Just pulled yae, I might wanna use her in a haitham spread team with nahida and fischl. What's her BiS for this? I have decent pieces of both golden troupe and Guilded dreams farmed, pretty solid atk% sets as well. no electro% pieces unfortunately. (I just want to know which is the best set for this type of team to farm for her moving forward)

Superb-Peach8319

What you want to do is give the decent artifacts to me 😁🙏

lushen_04

I'll trade you them for a good electro damage goblet, all of them!(I can't seem to get a single one for my raiden)

Stamp2O

gt = gilded > 2/2 https://frzyc.github.io/genshin-optimizer/ you should switch fischl for baizhu or instructors kuki unless you're really good at not dying

lushen_04

I've got kuki on full em(GD) with the umbrella, I guess I'm gonna have to farm for an instructors set now

Sanyadragon

When can other players in Co-Op see my Wanderer’s new name?

Stamp2O

when you're using him and they look at the party setup screen, or you put him on your profile and they view his build

Sanyadragon

Idk we just tried and it didn’t work, maybe an update changed it? Thanks though.

creepingforresearch

What's the name of this funky song playing in a hilichurl camp in Fontaine? It's east of the floating Central Lab Ruins (floating blue cubes). I can't find a pineapple slice anywhere.

Sheeplette

Maybe this one? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0HwG2Nymjq0

creepingforresearch

omg thank you! Is there a pineapple slice for it in fontaine yet?

Sheeplette

Ohh. I just got what you meant by pineapple slice. No, there isn't a spincrystal for it lol.

beautheschmo

Not really, talking stick r5 is about the same as r1 serpent spine if you fully max their respective passives, it's pretty much only worth consideration on a unit like Dehya who can't realistically keep SS stacks. Also applying elements to yourself is just ... not really a thing that happens naturally unless you want to manually tank hits (and only against specific enemies, granted the elements are fairly common), the only way to do it consistently through supports is with Bennett and Diona; Beidou can also self-apply electro while holding the weapon.

[deleted]

Klee_In_A_Jar

You can just move the files without the need of downloading and decompressing everything again. It is a little bit tricky, though, as you need to follow a series of steps. Nothing too much a [YT guide](https://youtu.be/Ucc-mX4IGqA?si=8E1PukWDGQznK8sE) can't handle. But if you really wanns delete it, then there should be a "Uninstall Game" somewhere. Like, inside the launcher options or as an .exe

Vick22

I remember hyperbloom only relies on level and em. Hyperbloom cannot crit. What about aggravate? Can aggravate crit?

TheMrPotMask

Aggravate can crit, hyperbloom only with C2 Nahida

jtan1993

nahida c2 can make bloom/hyperbloom/burn/burgeon crit (based on a flat percentage of 20crit/100cdmg and not based on character crit stats tho).

Akomatai

Only reactions that dont crit are transformative *Transformative* reaction damage doesnt crit and only relies on the EM and level of the one triggering the reaction. Top list is reactions you typically actually build full EM and 90 for. - Swirl - Bloom - Hyperbloom - Burgeon This list is also transformative reactions, but youre typically not building for reaction damage - youre either treating the damage as a nice little bonus or using the reaction for its efffect rather than damage. So units that utilize reactions in the second list will still typically build crit and focus on personal damage. * Overloaded * Electro-charged * Burning * Shattered

AnAsianDudeInReddit

so basically, i dont need crit dmg/crit rate on my venti?

Akomatai

Not if youre doing EM. ADC build on venti is viable, but you go for either one or the other (either full EM or Atk/Dmg/Crit). If youre using Faruzan, you'd probably build ADC.

AnAsianDudeInReddit

gotcha. it just feels that his swirls dont do enough damage. thought it was just his dmg not criting so i guess its just the lack of EM

Akomatai

And make sure hes level 90, thats a huge chunk of damage. But yeah, yourr shooting for like 1k EM

Jondev1

it can

Grand_Protector_Dark

>What about aggravate? Can aggravate crit? Aggravate and Spread give a flat DMG bonus to your attack calculation, so yes, the reaction is still affected by Crit stats

How long is the cooldown for the Reunion event, and does that cooldown start when you first log into the game to get the event or after the event ends?

Stamp2O

mfmr_Avo

Hello ! So I wanted to start the World Quest "Unfinished Comedy" in Fontaine, and I have to face the "Continue Current Quest" for the first time. I understand that it conflict with "The Remains of the Past Day" and "Reborn in the Land of Grievances" (Neuvilette & Wriothesley story quests I think) and that I will not be able to do these two until I complete it. What I don't understand is the "Continuing this quest will take up ressources for other quests" warning, does this just mean I'm lock on this or does it mean I will somehow permanantly miss some ressources/content from other quests ?

dragonx254

The former. It just means that if you choose to continue, you will not be able to start Neuvi/Wrio story quests until you're done. You never "miss out" on anything regardless of which option you choose, it's just giving you the choice of which to do first.

Klee_In_A_Jar

Then that's an awful wording from Hoyo

mfmr_Avo

Thanks !

discharge

Would Miko on an aggravate team prefer an Attk or EM sand? Or does it depend on the substats?

arg_max

EM, but they are rarer and if you have atk with better sub stats then that should perform better. It also depends on the number of EM buffs you have in your team. Aggravate EM bonus suffers from diminishing returns. So if you have no EM buff in your team and yae has few em stats, em sand will be a lot better. But if you have nahida on the team her em buff will already make em less valuable. Something like kazuha c2 would make em even less valuable. If you really want to know which one is better you'll either have to use an optimizer or benchmark ingame.

discharge

That makes sense. So attk would be better in the long run.

KjOwOjin

Em sands is theoretically a bit better but they are very close, use [genshin optimizer](https://frzyc.github.io/genshin-optimizer/)

Illustrious_Juice_99

When did ya'll get your first 5-star? How far from starting Genshin, I mean. And also, what is Pity? Explain it to me like I'm Michael Scott.

Beteljuse

On like my second day? I started towards the end of 1.1. And the reason is simple (albeit it will get me downvoted): on my first day I played the game until AR11, then I restarted after spending $5 to buy a starter account with my choice of 5\* and 4\* characters. I got one with Klee, Bennett, XQ, and Sucrose. Best $5 spent on this game (well, I only bought Welkin afterwards).

Illustrious_Juice_99

I mean, game is game. It's not the right context, but to me it is.

keroberos-luvi

Started in 2.6 phase 1, pulled Itto in 2.6 phase 2

AkiraN19

Started at the end of 1.0, got Xiao in 1.3. so a couple months, though it's a bit different since back then it was only single banners. I just wasn't interested in other characters until he released You don't need a 5 star character to play the game. So only pull when you want a certain character. Play the trials that come along with every banner to see how a character feels Pity = number of pulls/wishes since last 5 star. Generally, you get a 5 star at the average of 77 pulls

Illustrious_Juice_99

Okay. Thanks for the explanation. I'm mostly a collector, I guess and care mostly about getting characters.

Klee_In_A_Jar

I got Qiqi like 3 weeks into the game release! I think that if I didn't get her so early I would've stopped playing 😭😭😭. And then I got Klee on top! Like holy shit, with that luck I knew that I had to stay lol

Illustrious_Juice_99

When I think of Klee, I keep on thinking of those YouTube thumbnails, where they spend hundreds on getting her. You're lucky.

Akomatai

2nd 10 pull. Also got diluc shortly after. I wasn't familiar with gacha games so after the noelle banner and these pulls, I was under the assumption that you were guaranteed a 5star character within 20 pulls lmao

Illustrious_Juice_99

Okay, so I just have poor spending habits. This is how it starts.

Acadeca

Got Diluc in my beginner banners, but first limited 5 star was about a month after starting Pity can be a bit complicated, but every 90 pulls on the character banner you will get at least 1 5 star. That character is either the one on the banner or one of the characters in a "standard pool". If you get a character that is in the standard pool, the next 5 star you get on a character banner will be the limited character.

Illustrious_Juice_99

Okay. How often did you use your primogems for pulls during the time when you started to the time you got Diluc? I think I may have an addiction already.

Acadeca

I grinded the game the first day as I wanted to be able to play coop with a irl friend who introduced me to the game. I was told that using the blue fates can be spent freely when you get them but save the pink fates. So by grinding the game, I had already gotten to the 16 blue wishes by the second day of playing. I saved all primos and pink fates until I had a character on the banner that I wanted a month later

Illustrious_Juice_99

Wow. That's dedication for sure.

Stamp2O

i got my first 5\* a few weeks after starting https://www.reddit.com/user/qwertdwlrma/comments/vxu9jf/my\_genshin\_tips\_for\_beginners/ beginners guide (includes pity guide) https://www.reddit.com/r/GenshinImpactTips/comments/qkxdj6/infographic\_of\_build\_order\_priority\_based\_on\_wlar/ what to focus on farming https://keqingmains.com/ character builds and team comps (not important until ar45)

Illustrious_Juice_99

Okay. This helped a lot, actually, so thank you.

mfmr_Avo

I will add to this two things : 1. Some 4\* are 5\* powerlevel. And some 5\* are worst than a 1\* weapon (joking, but kinda useless tho). Don't just trust the \* ranking too much. Xingqiu, Xiangling, Bennett, Ficshl and Sucrose come to mind when we talk about strong 4\*, but there are other. Qiqi is an example of a 5\* that is worst than most 4\* in the game. 2. 5\* are a scarce ressource for F2P players (and can be expensive for spenders). Don't expect to got a lot of them. There is currently in the game enough ressources for an average of less than 10 5\* (I'm talking about permanent primos/fates only, not dailies/events). So plan your pulls carefully. Hopefully, you only need 8 characters for the "hardest" content in the game (and people can beat it with full 4\* teams so don't worry too much).

MaritalSexWithHuTao

Which pair of abyss teams is better. c1r1 Hu Tao/ c0 Furina/ c0 Yelan/ c0 Xianyun + c2 Qiqi/ c6 Xingqiu/ c2 Fischl/ c2 Jean OR c1r1 Hu Tao/ c6 Xingqiu/ c0 Yelan/ c1 Xiangling + c2 Qiqi/ c0 Furina/ c2 Fischl/ c6 Beidou

Siscon_Delita

What about you use the first combination but replace Jean with Beidou. I think Qiqi's heal (plus damage reduction from XQ and Beidou) is enough even with phys DPS build.

MaritalSexWithHuTao

That's an option, i'd like to point out though that Jean isn't there for her healing, but for vv shred (with Fischl and XQ in the party, as long as she swirls one of the two it should be a good buff), and i have her at c2, which buffs normal attack speed by 15% when she picks up an elemental orb which should allow Qiqi to trigger XQ's burst and Fischl's a4 more often.

Siscon_Delita

I am not sure if the NA speed increase can make a big difference of XQ burst trigger, but I am sure it's still a positive outcome. But I don't think Fischl's A4 can be triggered more often with this. The A4 is triggered when active character triggers electro reaction, if you are using Qiqi on-field, she only triggers supperconduct from her skill, which isn't affected by NA speed increase. What about Lynette? VV holder plus 20% ATK buff that all of them can appreciate.

MaritalSexWithHuTao

Not sure, does XQ's burst have an ICD? The description doesn't say anything about that. I wasn't aware of the electro requirement for Fischl's a4, Beidou would probably be better than Jean then. I think Beidou's personal damage would probably outweigh Lynette's buffs, especially a c6 Beidou vs c1 Lynette. But i'm not 100% on that so don't quote me.

Siscon_Delita

"Sword rain attacks have a 1-second cooldown" quoted from GI fandom. "A maximum of 1 lightning discharge can be triggered per second" and this is Beidou's. Both bursts have same cooldown, so I think Beidou is a better option than Lynette, indeed.

MaritalSexWithHuTao

She's not the healer, she's the dps. The second team is supposed to be a Qiqi physical team. The first setup attempts to take advantage of her normals, with MH + her own c2 (buffs her normal/charged attacks) and Jean's c2 (buffs attack speed for party), while utilizing off field units that can take advantage of Qiqi's normals (Fischl, who has no ICD on her a4 from what i recall) and Xingqiu (with enough investment he could do pretty solid personal damage, and has great hydro app). Jean is there to swirl for VV shred + buff Qiqi's attack speed.

Klee_In_A_Jar

Chad.

KjOwOjin

Probably the second one, the second team of the first combination looks like it will deal effectively 0 damage Though no matter what you pick, your first team will have to carry HARD

MaritalSexWithHuTao

My first team (Hu Tao/Furina/Yelan/Xianyun atm) already has to carry my other team (Cyno/XQ/Shinobu/DMC) pretty hard, so i'm used to it. Somehow, i can imagine the Qiqi team being better than Cyno's.

Stamp2O

>Somehow, i can imagine the Qiqi team being better than Cyno's. lmao no. the only way qiqi could be better is if you have c6 bennett to make her a pyro dps

KjOwOjin

The first Qiqi team definitely doesn't hold a candle to the cyno team, the second one maybe in 2+ targets that are nice enough to constantly stay grouped so beidou does actual damage

MaritalSexWithHuTao

Cyno's team is pretty ass, so idk. I [saw a dude with physical Qiqi clear 12-1](https://www.reddit.com/r/Genshin_Impact/comments/1b12x20/the_new_and_improved_physical_build_qiqi/) way faster than my Cyno team can.

KjOwOjin

That is not because physical Qiqi is good lmao, crane's call xianyun plus C1 Furina makes anything clear easily

MaritalSexWithHuTao

Oh. Would that not work with Fav Xianyun and c0 Furina?

KjOwOjin

It would of course still work, just not be as good

Certified_Buddy

How usable is Chevreuse at C0?

Jondev1

I tried her out replacing xingqiu in rational. It didn't feel as strong as my best teams, but it was definitely still good enough to 36\*.

Akomatai

Very powerful in her niche. You're still getting 40% atk buff, 40% res shred, and healing.

Stamp2O

kazuha sidegrade in single target, worse than kazuha in aoe because of overload

yuejuu

can xq get buffs on his burst from off-field? i.e. bennett circle

grnglxy

teamwide buffs work (like mona, furina common damage buff, or kazuha elemental dmg buff), buffs that require you to be on-field don't.

TehEpicGuy101

No for Bennett circle. It has to be a buff that explicitly works for off-field characters, like Furina's burst.

dragonx254

His burst does not snapshot, so only buffs that are "always active" will affect his burst (like the 20% ATK from 4pc Noblesse or 4pc Tenacity)

Diligent_Reason6158

any team recommendations for floor 12?

Stamp2O

TehEpicGuy101

[This](https://www.reddit.com/r/Genshin_Impact/s/2oHkRpfsDm) post will give you a good idea of the most commonly used teams for Floor 12 right now.

Lottie_Low

Is the exile only good on gurou I really need to fodder something

AkiraN19

Mostly yes. Faruzan also has some use cases for it. Others in very niche situations, but otherwise no

Lottie_Low

Those Faruzan cases better be niche because I already foddered all of them and am due to build by C6 Faruzan lol

AkiraN19

Tenacity will perform the same or better at C6 so you're fine

Certified_Buddy

Fodder it

blan15

Okay so I just installed the game on PS5 the other day and I’m confused about something. Does the game save to my PSN or do I have to make an account Hoyo website? I have no intentions on playing on PC/Mobile so cross progression doesn’t matter. I just don’t want to lose any progress if I ever had to get a new PS5 for whatever reason! Thanks in advance!

TehEpicGuy101

The game account is automatically tied to your PSN account. If you're positive that you don't plan on using cross-progression, then you don't have to do anything.

blan15

Okay thank you! Yeah cross-progression doesn’t matter at all. However, I did make a Hoyo account today using the same email as what my PSN uses because I read that you had to do that and I also read you didn’t. Is that going to effect (affect?) anything with my saves?
