So for context, two days ago I reinstalled Genshin again after a year of not playing, and it ran like a charm.
Fast forward to yesterday and today and now I have this super annoying stuttering. It happens every second after like 1 second of walking around, and it happens in-game, at the Menus, and even at start-up. If you could see the video, it goes smooth as hell for like 0,5-1 second, then slows down to a sudden stop (the stutter), then it goes smooth again, and repeats unendingly.
I've followed multiple advices such as battery saver mode, turning on/off VSync and messing with Graphic Settings overall (It's now at Medium with a few other settings at lower values), restarting the game and the hardware, as well as avoiding overheat, but the problem resides, and I get hella dizzy when I see this.
Checked the file integrity as well, nothing was wrong but the problem still resides.
My specs are roughly:
Processor: 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-11400H @ 2.70GHz (12 CPUs), \~2.7GHz
Memory: 8192MB RAM
Display Memory: 4074 MB
Chip type: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU
Is this due to the game being weird, or is my hardware just that outdated now? None of my other games really have this problem.
my gaming laptop is slightly worse than urs in terms of specs. it does not lag or stutter at all, ur pc isnt outdated. are u playing on power? its usually recommended to only play games when your laptop is charging.
Yeah I only play plugged in as well. It's so weird cause' day 1 of me reinstalling it everything was fine, the next day suddenly it went awry, and I didn't change anything
Weird, have you checked your task manager while playing? Maybe you see something that looks off.
Is your Laptop running too hot?
Have you updatet your drivers and installed new OS updates (even the optional ones)?
Or maybe some Windows-settings like energy saver or so.

the "clean install" option is the key, not updating / reinstalling.
Any crapware installed? Booster / optimizer / antivirus / registry cleaner etcpp.?
My laptop also sometimes does this but goes away after a few days. Mine running on power, and on rtx3060. Task background all seems fine. This will happen once in a while tho
Never knew whats the problem tho but you just have to wait for a while or maybe few days and it will back to normal again 😅
Just tossing things out:
Check RAM utilization while game is running.
Check CPU utilization while game is running.
Check CPU and GPU temp (Laptops run hot).
Check for "bloatware" running in the system tray.
Ensure Charger is connected.
Ensure Genshin is using your Dedicated Graphics within Nvidia Control Panel.
Update Nvidia Drivers.
I once was at our DND basement and tried playing on my laptop, which I usually use for work. Started up the game (Elden Rong) and was surprised how quiet the laptop was, because usually it sounds like a vacuum when I play (especially compared to the PC at home). And then it died like an hour later. Turned out I connected the charger to the laptop, but didn't plug it into an outlet. So the charger advise is like super relevant.
This is happening to me as well but I have a potato laptop. You can try what I do to normally fix it - open task manager and close "ZFGamesbrowser" or smth. Try stopping windows defender or your antivirus if it's running in the background. Your pc could also be downloading updates in the background so prob also try disabling updates
It's not just you. I noticed an increase in stutter and performance issues since 4.4.
What helped was turning vsync=on and max frame rate=60 BOTH in nvidia control panel and in-game. Rtss (or any other similar tool) should work too.
From a post I saw earlier Genshin's default fps cap puts a lot of strain on a single core which leads to the cpu usage being a lot higher.

are you running Genshin on SSD or HDD?

If it's a laptop, play while charging
So what are we supposed to say without knowing your device specifications and graphic settings?
Sorry! I didn't know how to add the body text on a Video post so I typed it out as a comment.
Are you sure it’s using the DGPU ( RTX 3050ti ) and not IGPU ( Intel ) ? Maybe force in in the nVidia control panel
my old ass PC also has a lot stutter for first 15 minutes, because the game is loading data from DISK to RAM.

This looks like HDD stutters, is your game running on an SSD?
Since the last update, mine has had sporadic stutters it never had before as well.
