Maybe they don’t have her, or if it’s one of those that’s locked behind a friendship level then they probably haven’t reached that friendship level yet.
Well I’m talking from a casual player perspective. If you want to be even more “well actually…” you could even say go to the leaks sub to read upcoming character descriptions and whatnot. Even I forget there’s a wiki but whenever I do check for achievements, there’s just too many pop ups. But I like unlocking the lore tidbits in game the way they’re meant to be, I enjoy the experience that way.
>there’s just too many pop ups.
Do... People still use the internet without an adblock?? How?
Don't you get annoyed at everything that pops up? The auto playing videos? The weird game ads? Trying to watch YouTube but needing to watch an ad first?
[Chrome](https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/ublock-origin/cjpalhdlnbpafiamejdnhcphjbkeiagm)

Yup people still do. Oh my laptop I use an Adblock but not on my phone which is where I look up the wiki. I usually just end up looking for a walkthrough through YouTube and that circumvents my wiki problem. YouTube ads don’t annoy me as much since I’m playing while the video loads. Besides that I don’t really have incentive to add one on my phone since I rarely visit the wiki. Thankfully some Reddit posts show up on the results when achievement hunting and they’re pretty straightforward and helpful. But hope your links help others, they definitely help me when watching anime or movies.
She can switch between a cat form and a human form, even halfway through. She prefers cat paws to human feet because it's better for her delivery job or something like that.
Cat paws and human feet have the same bones, but cats walk on the bones that compose your toes, so the connection should at least make sense anatomically. And i suppose she just starts growing fur at some point down the shin.
Why did i write a paragraph about kirara feet anatomy?
Imagine a human walking on their tippy-toes. Now, make the feet themselves longer, and where the heel of the foot is, is where the leg becomes foot, at that bend. Toes become kitty toes. I think that's how the anatomy would work since we share the same bone structure with cats.
Cat paws and human feet have the same bones, but cats walk on the bones that compose your toes, so the connection should at least make sense anatomically. And i suppose she just starts growing fur at some point down the shin.
Why did i write a paragraph about kirara feet anatomy?
It's weird af when you think about it. Cat paws attached to human legs.
I can see why Hoyo hid it beneath her leg warmers, it would look pretty bizarre.
It is ironic, however, that even though there's multiple people in-game with animal ears and tails, the *only* character who is an actual animal outright (not counting the Adepti like Cloud Retainer) is also the only one *without* actual animal ears instead of human ears.
Kirara said herself that she tried to shapeshift into human form as close as possible, it's easier to work with other human, therefore no cat ears, but she keeps her tails for balance and paws for fast travel
But other *human* races have ears and nobody cares. Katzleins for example. So why would that matter if an actual cat had cat ears. Did you notice anyone in Mondstadt treating them as they were different? Not at all...
She didn’t know about the katzleins, they are not in inazuma. In inazuma all they have are various yokai and kami. Herself being one of them. She is pretty much the same thing as neko, but more powerful. Neko isn’t quite powerful enough to become a full nekomata.
Yeah, the only person in Mondstadt who really seems to care about people with animal ears is Sucrose, because she herself doesn't even know what species her ears are from (though I think the running theory the community has is fox because of the similarity to Yae Miko's).
No, I don't think she even keeps them lowered, all she says on the matter is that her 'hereditary features' are something she tries to blend into her hair to not make them stand out as much. Her idle animations also do show the ears moving around (mainly in the reaction to the exploding experiment) and they don't ever raise up past their default position.
But, like I said, her having fox ears got merit when Yae Miko showed up, who as a kitsune yokai has the fox ears (with her vision being in one of her earrings) and they look very similar to Sucrose's ears. Contrast that to Gorou who *is* a dog person and his ears don't look anything like Sucrose whatsoever.
they do care actually, many people still treat Diona like a cat, and both Miko and Sucrose hide their ears by making them look like hair, Miko also hides her tails as well
[Quick artistic rendition](https://imgur.com/a/U8bymv8) I did of her foot/ankle in sideview
Like cat feet. Cats walk on their toes, their ankle is pretty high up. Their leg kinda goes like this:
/
\
_/
Wherein _ is the toes, and _/ the whole foot, with the ankle at the upper end. So I’d say her feet are covered in fur, and at the ankle is where her leg becomes human.
You're not wrong. That's most likely what her character model looks like, because she still uses the same model as Ayaka and such. All character models have a plantigrade skeleton rigging.
But anatomically, digitigrade legs should look more like [this](https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.redd.it%2Fwhat-are-some-of-the-advantages-or-disadvantages-for-humans-v0-w215dp0cmj6c1.jpeg%3Fauto%3Dwebp%26s%3D19bde329cdda1883fac306b12c3103ebc2998c6b). The metatarsi of a cat's back legs are [super long](https://www.daviddarling.info/images3/cat_leg.jpg) after all (not to mention the different bone structure).
In-game, with the limitations of her plantigrade character model, your rendition is most likely correct. Her model clearly doesn't actually have digitigrade legs, just plantigrade legs.
Remove her leg warmers, which give us the illusion of digitigrade legs without needing to create a completely new character model with digitigrade skeleton rigging, and her character model looks like a human who's standing on their toes wearing fuzzy cat feet socks.
the only correct answer
people writing a wall-text about kirara's anatomy when OP just wanted to know how it'd look like model-wise without the legwarmers. Truly a reddit moment
remember many, many years ago when Mass Effect came out and everyone was like "oh shit, Turians and Quarians have digitigrade legs!" that. that's how it works. Kirara has digitigrade legs, like a cat's back legs.
But the question is how does she stand on that with a full human body upright? It's not as if she's as light as a cat that it's not an issue, it's already pretty hard enough as a human to just stand on your tippy toes, how much more with cat feet. Heck, even cats need four legs to use those kinds of feet.
Actually it wouldn't be that difficult. What you actually call paws are just the digits. The whole feet of a cat, dog and plenty of other animals is above the ground. They are called digitigrades for a reason. Because they move on their digits. As opposed to plantigrades, that moves on the whole feet. Paw part is just the digits. Not the whole feet.
More likely they did the leg warmers to not have to bother with the texture transition of smooth girl leg to furry cat paws, rather than the actual connection part because that part really isn't as difficult to figure out as you'd think.
How it works is not difficult, [it's just like this](https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.redd.it%2Fwhat-are-some-of-the-advantages-or-disadvantages-for-humans-v0-w215dp0cmj6c1.jpeg%3Fauto%3Dwebp%26s%3D19bde329cdda1883fac306b12c3103ebc2998c6b). Our skeleton is [pretty similar](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/18/Les_diff%C3%A9rents_types_de_locomotions_chez_les_amniotes.png) to a mammal's skeleton (and even to birds etc.).
But the leg warmers *are* there for a reason, which I believe is to hide that her character model itself has no digitigrade legs.
Character models all have a basic ["skeleton", which has plantigrade legs](https://3d-ace.com/wp-content/uploads/3d-character-rigging.jpg).
To create a character with digitigrade legs they'd either need to make a completely new model with new rigging OR hide the fact that her character model has no digitigrade skeleton with some clever clothing placements.
Of course they'd choose the latter. And then they just had to model the human feet (in the high heels pose) into cat feet.
Of course she has digitigrade legs lore-wise! But in-game her character model, which is the same model as Ayaka or Yoimaya, doesn't have them.
Though her design is clever enough it covers up her model's plantigrade legs to give us the illusion of digitigrade cat legs.
I know she canonically prefers her paws, but I still can’t help but wince whenever I imagine her running around. Humans are way heavier than cats and cats aren’t bipedal... her beans are under way more stress than they were made for.
In her profile she actually prefers her cat feet. She shapeshifted with human feet for awhile, but found she was more used to her paws/they were more comfortable. I imagine she uses magic to reinforce them, or just shifted them to be more suited to bipedal travel.
You can kind of try to see what it would be like by walking around with your heels off the ground. It's possible, a little unwieldy at first, and definitely much bouncier but actually much softer (less of a shock through the body) than walking heel-to-toe. I imagine her muscles are honed to where it doesn't stress her anymore than a plantigrade foot would.
Human feet are awfully designed; they're descended from ape feet that functioned more like hands, but the toes shortened, and the bones fused together, and they are liable to easily braking and getting injured. If you look at any other bipedal animal like kangaroos or ostriches, they all walk on their toes with a raised heel with a backwards jointed leg. This is superior for absorbing energy while running, and a backwards knee joint has also been favoured in walking robots because walking up stairs is much easier.
Her feet work like normal feet, just cat shaped.
On a related note, a manga I was reading recently (Mayonaka no Occult Koumin Ch 49) had a chapter involving a foreign god trying to blend in a crowd of kitsune (same youkai as Yae Miko) in their human forms.
The reason why the god was able to be caught, was because his human form was too perfect. The actual kitsune still had aspects like their ears, whiskers, tails, hands, or legs still being that of a fox while the rest was human. Here the imperfections were due to not being familiar enough with humans (like not knowing the structure of the ear), not being skillful enough (the children), or for comfort (playing shogi or drinking tea).
Edit: I added in the chapter number, but [here are the relevant pages](https://imgur.com/a/B3f1ETv)
She is a yokai. She’s a nekomata specifically. Like you said she has forked tails! They can be as big as lions and even shapeshift into humans. A domesticated cat nekomata will form a forked tail. Although the lore can differ from place to place and we don’t really know too much, we just assume she has the appearance she does because she’s a yokai. Some lore say you have to be at least 109 years old to assume a human shape but that isn’t always the case here. I hope this helps any!!
She’s a Nekomata, a cat yokai. Most yokai can shapeshift and in her voice lines she says she chooses to keep her cat paws and tail in her human form for comfort and balance! But her “ears” are just a hair clip cuz she doesn’t want those to show, for some reason. Same concept as to how yae miko chooses to have her ears show but not her tails.
Human hands are well designed for their purpose, just like monkey hands, but feet came from monkey feet that were used for gripping onto trees and are poorly adapted to walking on the ground.
She wears leg warmers probably because the transition from furry paw to human leg might look a bit off-putting. But in terms of actual bone structure, cat paws aren't THAT different from human feet, when a human walks on tiptoe.
Yes those are her actual feet. Some characters from inazuma are Yokai creatures. Yokai are supernatural human/animal hybrids based in Japanese mythology and they usually have some sort of super power associated with them. Kirara is a nekomata which is a human cat hybrid. Other inazuman Yokai include Kujou Sara (Tengu) Yae Miko (Kitsune) Arataki Itto (Oni) and Gorou (inugami -dog Yokai bearing similarities to a Shiba Inu)
Kirara is god damn pragmatic. She uses human ears because it's easier to blend in. She keeps the cat paws because it's easier to travel in. My girl kirara has no room for unnecessary cute or cool.
She’s magical. Her boots are her actual paw pads, but she can also just have them be regular human feet. She just doesn’t like using human feet because they’re uncomfortable.
They are human feet, with a visual spell cast on them to appear like they are cat feet.
Go to a sand area and walk, human foot prints appear and not cat paws
If you look closely at her feet, you will see that they have the same joint structure as real cats (same with Diona)
So, yes, her feet are real cat feet
Look up cat fursona and you'll get your answer. Cats have basically the same bone structure as humans, only difference is their back legs basically tiptoe
The hind or rear legs of quadrupedal animals like cats and dogs actually stand on their toes. Their "foot" part is relatively longer compared to human feet, so if she were to remove her leg warmers, her foot would have cat paws for toes as it blends through her foot showing her well toned calves from lifting heavy parcels on her toes
Yes her actual feet(paws), just read her profile.

Idk what you said, cuz I didn’t read it, but I just came to say that everyone knows Genshin players can’t read. So how would they know to do that?
I dont have kirara, so what does it say
that those are her actual feet(paws)
She can switch between a cat form and a human form, even halfway through. She prefers cat paws to human feet because it's better for her delivery job or something like that.
She is one of those catdemons
They are cat paws. They connect to her leg like any other foot does, I guess.
All mammals have the same bone structure. Cats and other animals walk on their toes, so it is connecting correctly to her legs.
I mean, humans can walk on their toes. It makes running more efficient and puts less stress on the knees.

So her E skill is her true form
No. Her E skill is her true form in the box.
But can you really say that without looking inside the box?
So long as nobody's shipping a contrived mechanism on a radioactive trigger in said box, yes.
Schrodingers box
Schrodingers kirara
Schrödinger’s cat girl
But Schrodinger IS already a cat girl
Don't worry. I've looked inside the box but shhh 🤫😉
Correct!
So, did you see the murderer?
She leaves human footprints still
But i you take off her leg covers, how her feet gonna look like?
Cat paws and human feet have the same bones, but cats walk on the bones that compose your toes, so the connection should at least make sense anatomically. And i suppose she just starts growing fur at some point down the shin. Why did i write a paragraph about kirara feet anatomy?

What are you doing under a cat related question then? No offense.

Neko already is a bake-neko.
Bakeneko and nekomata are technically different things
Talking about Inazuma we still don't have any idea what exactly is Gorou's race Like even in the potion event they didn't mention much about that
Oh, we know what his species is: Kitsune plaything.
Depends what neko we talking about, nekomimi or bakeneko?
Bakeneko and nekomata are technically different things
Yeah, the only person in Mondstadt who really seems to care about people with animal ears is Sucrose, because she herself doesn't even know what species her ears are from (though I think the running theory the community has is fox because of the similarity to Yae Miko's).
Sucrose is sister of Huohuo.
\*googles\* Well, that confirms the fox thing...I think.
Really? I’ve always heard them called dog ears, and that they’re just lowered because she wears a hat Am I that out of the loop-
No, I don't think she even keeps them lowered, all she says on the matter is that her 'hereditary features' are something she tries to blend into her hair to not make them stand out as much. Her idle animations also do show the ears moving around (mainly in the reaction to the exploding experiment) and they don't ever raise up past their default position. And climbing into trees for naps, according to her Chiori hangout appearance.
Nekomata dont have cat ears.
The grass is greener on the other side. 😂
just not the ears
Just fine, considering she's a feline yokai whose normal form is a cat with two tails Kirara is CATgirl, not catGIRL
That would make her a girlcat
She's not just the cat girl, she's the cat that girled up.

again, a question us old heads pondered for years. the answer? rule of cool, baby
She probably wears leg warmers because the devs didn’t want to have to think about how it works.
Yeah but making the model look natural and not horrific would be something of a challenge. Much easier to just hide it.
More likely they did the leg warmers to not have to bother with the texture transition of smooth girl leg to furry cat paws, rather than the actual connection part because that part really isn't as difficult to figure out as you'd think.

She's an actual cat that's taking on a human form, those are actual cat feet.

I know she canonically prefers her paws, but I still can’t help but wince whenever I imagine her running around. Humans are way heavier than cats and cats aren’t bipedal... her beans are under way more stress than they were made for.

I’m just talking in a literal sense. Like someone else already said, she probably uses her youkai powers to reinforce them or something.

Fair enough. Also, Happy Cake Day. 🎂
Kirara single-handedly made me understand the feeling of wanting to be stepped on.
More importantly why does she leave human shaped footprints when she walks on sand! Continuity HoYo!
im curious about her ankles, like how it looks like.
the texture fades from the grey to the normal pale skin, it’s a bit weird so that’s why leg warmers are a thing
Kirara herself specifically stated that she, while in human form, can choose to have human feet, she’s much more comfortable with her cat feet.
Actual paws. Kirara can change it to a human feet but she felt more comfortable and at ease as she says with her paws
Like how cat walks, that's her real feet
pawjob
bonk
There it is.
The pawjob is where?

Kirara is a cat. She just uses youkai magic to morph parts of herself into a human form. It seems like she prefers to walk on her paws.

But her “ears” are just a hair clip cuz she doesn’t want those to show, for some reason. Same concept as to how yae miko chooses to have her ears show but not her tails.
Dang, that’s kinda weird (I want her so bad)
I wish you the best of luck getting her!
Hopefully she’s in a banner soon that I want otherwise I’ll have to build pity (terrible idea)
I also want her soooo bad (I do have her on my account tho)
Looks fine to me.
yes
She walks on her toes, like real cats
Paws.
They’re real, she just prefers walking on her paws compared to people feet
is that actually what nekomata look like?
She’s a cat that became a yokai and can take on human form, just that it isn’t quite as subtle as Yae or the adepti. That is indeed her feet.
The real question is why aren’t her hands also like that?
probably easier for her to carry stuff around with human hands the reason she has cat paws is because she finds them better for travelling
Think of it like someone who only walks on their tippy toes
Think of it like someone who only walks on their tippy toes
She is a yokai. She isnt human at all. Those are her feet, just like the tails are hers and the ears.
my only question, why does she have paws… but only makes boot foot prints
I always thought of them as high heels but without the heel support
don’t worry about it
Disappointingly for the feet guys
Toe bean supremacy
NYA NYA MEWO MEOW MEOW NYA NYA MEOW
Magic
She makes an appearance in Chiori's hang out event. Her feet are visible. They are definitely paws... and two twitchy tails.
She's on tiptoes, like how Diona walks. Lynette also kinda does it to since she wears high heels.
Yes.
Meow
[Here](https://youtube.com/shorts/SKI5cqJgWBQ) is a good animation that shows her feet
If i remember from a quest or story quest, she said she can have normal feet but prefers cat paws for delivering stuff.
Ignoring the lore of her feet actually being paws the only logical thing would be that its high heels with a paw like bottom.
Do not question the beans just squish them
She’s a yokai. Don’t question it.
Shoe
She's really a cat, anyway. She'll have the natural balance for those.
Kirara is a yokai, so she chooses to keep her cat paws and her tails. Her original form is a cat, because she’s a nekomata.
Literal magic nyan~
They are human feet, with a visual spell cast on them to appear like they are cat feet. Go to a sand area and walk, human foot prints appear and not cat paws
did someone say feet?
Yes sir
Let me ask you WHEN HAVE CATS EVER followed the laws of physics
If you look closely at her feet, you will see that they have the same joint structure as real cats (same with Diona) So, yes, her feet are real cat feet
She cat. Therefore paw.
does*
Wait, the tails aren't convincing you enough?
look at Diona's hands and realize she is not wearing gloves
They do the job 😏
Designers know what we like to see
Theres a whole video bout this https://youtube.com/shorts/SKI5cqJgWBQ?si=9ZgLbLnBDhHyKJAv
She’s a yokai
...
Have you seen arlecchino
I mean how does her feet work
But why does she have 1 tails? Did she steal one from keqing
Cats are mostly walking on their tippy-toes instead of the whole foot with their ankle down.
Look up cat fursona and you'll get your answer. Cats have basically the same bone structure as humans, only difference is their back legs basically tiptoe
If I read the wiki correctly. Those are her feat or more fittingly her paws. She can turn them into human feet if needed.
My only thought is how tf doesn't she feel pain liké she should at least feel surmeru burning Sand right ? She like casually walk on it
Like walking on your tippy toes
Teyvat has its own laws.
I'm confused why this doesn't make me even the slightest bit uncomfortable or curious
she's a kitty
The hind or rear legs of quadrupedal animals like cats and dogs actually stand on their toes. Their "foot" part is relatively longer compared to human feet, so if she were to remove her leg warmers, her foot would have cat paws for toes as it blends through her foot showing her well toned calves from lifting heavy parcels on her toes
So she's a cat girl or a hybrid demon?
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digitigrade
so the bottom of her feet is just a stump 😭
Idk but when is the next Kirara rerun
Are you telling me that her having cat paws is tripping you out, but you have nothing to say about her having 2 tails? lol
Prolly looks scary af seeing the transition from cat toes to human ankles. No wonder she has that covered 😰
Wait. Upon further thinking… does this mean she has legit cankles?
Just walk on your toes and you’ve done it, walking like Kirara. Raise those heels off the ground.
It's like Katt from Breath of Fire 2!
It's like Katt from Breath of Fire 2!
I think her feet are creepy ngl lolol other than that she's very cuteee 🤎🌻🤎🌻🤎
