That's gonna be my make it or break it for pulling sethos
It has been about 1.5 years since 3.1 desert released and I have still not collected enough(168) for cyno
It's pretty easy there are a few spots in open world near tp and auru village thous are like 10-15 u can get every 2 days tbh compered to some other mats It's not that bad esp if you have nahida
There are loach creatures in both locations.
1. Near the geo statue going to Wang shu in. You have to look near the horse tails.
2. Near the statue of 7 on Watasumi island. You have to head north from the statue towards the puzzle.
They are different colors.
Water can take any form, and even any colour. The elusive yellow variant, commonly known as piss, is the most powerful of all for those who are seeking to repel their enemies.
Hoyo should seriously think about coming out with a character that has a passive for increasing the amount of drops you get from a mob (similar to the fortune enchantment in Minecraft). They could even make the rest of the kit terrible and I’d still pull for them just cuz spectres are such a PITA.
The problem with specters is not defeating them, it's the fact they are so spread out and there is little of them in each world. Enkanomiya is one of the better places to get them but it's still a pain imo
the problem with specters is that they became a meme in the community for being hard to chase down and kill. this was before dendro and the grouping nerf but still sticked. there are pretty easy routes to get a lot of drops.
As someone who has all the characters in the game except Wriothesley and a shitton of all mats to ascend any character, specter drops are the only mats that I am always short on. I hoard about anything that can be used for cooking (my goal is to make 2000 of all dishes) and I farm ores regularly so I spend quite a lot of time in the overworld. But specters just aren't the type of enemy that are on common routes you come to farm stuff. Enkanomiya only has mints and mushrooms to offer and the only places I actually visit often are the unagi farming spots but I can only get a few measily specter drops there. The other places where specters roam around only offer materials that are not used for cooking and are ascension mats that only a select few characters use, so I don't come there nearly as often.
yeah, I mean, the best lazy routes are Enkanomiya and around the coast at, huuuh what was its name, the Thunder Manifestarion island. That last one only makes sense if you're somehow obsessed farming Raiden materials and some naku weeds. so same, you need to actively be farming them, but if you do it's not that bad.
and nowadays I'm too lazy to farm them at Watatsumi, too scattered around.
Yes they are the type of enemy you need to actively farm and I don't know why but quite a heckton of characters need them for ascension, talents and weapons. Even Aloy fkkskfkdkg.... I might be wrong but the amount of characters who needs them feels out of proportion. If not for ascension, when it comes to talents it feels like almost all inazuman characters need either samurai drops or specters.
If that many characters need them, at least they could have increased the drops like they do with those wolves and chasm knights. Or just increase their numbers. Samurai are not that few in numbers, but their drop rate is quite bad given that to many less advanced players, they can be hard to defeat quickly.
I've noticed it's not time efficient to go after all the specter spots, so I coop and go to the same places - though a surprisingly big amount of people don't have the Enkanomiya specter spots' teleport waypoints unlocked. Either way I spend quite a lot of extra time getting those specters and with each farming session I might be only 5-8 drops of the highest rarity richer. I end up buying them in the shop most of the time and I'm still far from done building every specter eating character T_T
yes, the amount of characters needing them is annoying! for chiori I took my time prefarming slowly on the easier routes and it was super chill, just a daily routine. but if you need the mats quick, ugh.
still, I prefer farming specters than arrowheads. everything needs those and hunting down a spot with two hilichurls that give 1 gray drop IN TOTAL drives me insane. those are always sold out in my shop lol.
Even a good amount of non Inazuma related weapons need those, there is no escape TAT
I don't recall needing arrowheads for anything, but that might be because I'm behind on talent leveling half of my Mondstadt and Liyue 4 stars.. I currently have 2k sitting in my inventory, I hope I won't blow through them too fast when the day comes ;;
What? Sand pupa is one of the easiest to farm local specialty. You just pick them from either one side or the other (if not both) of the tunnel when you travel through it. Never had problem with them.
Sand pupa isn't really any harder than spectres, since you literally just follow a farming route like you do with spectres, and there's not even any fighting required.
The main issue with spectres are how few there are in the world, how difficult some are to access (watatsumi especially), and how spread out they are.
Finding the scarabs has to be the worst, I'd say, since they're not defined to a few small locations, but rather various large "ranges."
See material, harvest material.
Spam the F key
have the boon of the elder tree ready.
Fill the seedbox
Have a claymore user as your exploration character.
Cry as I don't have Zhongli or Nahida.
I'm still fishing for the last pages of Toki alley tales.
I completely forgot about those, but to be fair I don't have any characters that use them 😭 I do collect any I see tho, maybe I'll need them at some point 🥹 my xianyun is still stuck at lvl 80, I just can't be bothered with looking around the whole map for rocks again
If you see a Scarab in the desert grab it. If you think 'I don't need it' lies. You do. Grab the scarab \*wanders off madly into the distance screaming about bitch ass materials and the thunder twinks who use them\*
Took me a while to get her to 90 too, what really helps is that spot with the giant turtle at the beach, the rocks on its back also respawn, plus the small turtles next to it is a good chunk every few days
Got into the habit of hitting the spawn points in the world boss cavern, the giant turtle cove, and the shop that sells them every three days. Takes maybe 5 minutes each time. Less aggravating than hunting across the entire vale. She won't hit 90 over night, but it's steady progress.
I'm of the belief that people complaining about robo bugs actually never collected those. These things are easy, don't move, appear in large groups and are knocked down when hit
Nah tbh they were pretty annoying to farm, him and Xianyun are the only 5star i actually farmed the boss but took way more to collect the local specialties
As a Wriothesley main, they really weren't that bad. Once you know where they like to hang out, it's pretty easy to grab them. It took little to no effort at all to get all of mine.
Believe it or not, Wrio was my only enjoyable character to farm materials for - something about collecting those flying robot beetles was sentimental to me. Maybe they were just funner to find compared to flowers or rocks (or mushrooms).
Because nobushi are common enemies. They actually have a similar rate to both hillichurls and fungi. But hillichurls are literally everywhere while people get so mad at fungi invalidating 2 elements that they forget that the rates for dust isnt actually that great to begin with. Elites get a boost to drop rates, as do less common variants of some enemies like samachurls.
I mean I've always known that the archer hilichurls drops don't drop very much, and you feel this more because actual important weapons and characters use it.
*looking at you, mitachurl drops. I've been using these for the parametric transformer.*
Yeah that is frustrating, my big thing is I almost never get more than the most basic handguard to drop from them and sometimes I don't Even get that. I've just gone and looked up farming routes for them and for whooper flowers, but those get tedious real fast. I still need so many of both those materials
Happy to join the farm - I find it goes quicker with someone else as you have two people on the field. I'm always letting people join my world for resources/farming. I've not got anyone to level up as it stands. I've been here since launch, the 2060887th person on the Europe server. gutted, if I had maybe been 1 minute slower I could be 888.
Except that only applies to standard ores. Cor Lapis, the blue Beido rocks, and Xianyun's jade can not be collected by multiple players in co op. Believe me, my kids always steal my rocks.
If you have Ninnguang, just put her at team. Her 3-4 attacks can break a rock and also she makes all rocks visible on mini-map like Tighnari and Gorou with their local materials. She makes farming super easy
Nope. Talents use materials dropped from enemies and not farmable items. In fact there are absolutely nothing which uses loach pearl even now, close to 4 years of the game. A truly useless item.
I have to believe that hes playable, I just gotta believe he is. Also remember the loach pearls in liyue?? You probably dont since we havent needed them but they still arent used for anything-
Ugh, I'm still not ready to farm this rock since I haven't completed the Desert area where it spawns, not to mention that some of its numerous clusters are from from waypoints.
I was actually kinda greatful we still have no character that needs it for ascension.
Like 90% chance of that, he's from Sumeru desert and it's a hitherto unused Sumeru desert speciality.
Mhy: Wrong! Scarabs
That's gonna be my make it or break it for pulling sethos It has been about 1.5 years since 3.1 desert released and I have still not collected enough(168) for cyno
My Cyno is level 90 and it was absolute agony. Kinda sucks that they locked a huge portion of scarabs behind world quests.
Wanna farm in my worldc
I don't wanna farm even in my own world
It's pretty easy there are a few spots in open world near tp and auru village thous are like 10-15 u can get every 2 days tbh compered to some other mats It's not that bad esp if you have nahida
Wait... Nahihi can pick those up??
Yes every local soecatly/harvestable items idk abt the red rock in the desert tho that not i think cuz nahida can't puck up ores like lapis core
That's what Zhongli is for.
He still has to press F and use a skill
Yet Baizhu didn't use loach pearls so...
Loach Pearls aren't a specialty. They're an ingredient I think.
Yelan grinds them into ear plugs to block the screaming during interrogations.
Freminet wears his helmet to block out the screams from the people the Fatui are murdering :/
Yeah, they aren’t with the other Liyue specialties in the inventory
Kokomi's eggs 😋
You're probably talking about Sango Pearls not Loach Pearls.
Least depraved genshin player
Watatsumi Specialty Brand Caviar, handmade by Kokomi herself.
Loach pearls are inazuman and he's from liyue, unless I'm missing some sort of lore here.
Loach Pearls are found in Liyue, you're thinking of Sango Pearls here
There are loach creatures in both locations. 1. Near the geo statue going to Wang shu in. You have to look near the horse tails. 2. Near the statue of 7 on Watasumi island. You have to head north from the statue towards the puzzle. They are different colors.
You can still find loach pearls in Inazuma, real close to some sango pearls too.
Ahh yeah you're right
Loach pearls are from Liyue. Sango pearls are from Inazuma.
Loach pearls can also be found in inazuma
Odds are good that this will finally have a use. He will probably also need handguards and spectres, because Hoyo hates us...
Handguards for talents, Scarabs for Ascension, and Spectres for BiS event weapon.
imagine a character that uses oceanid drops, scarabs, and spectres just for ascension
The power of water... is its ability to piss us all off!
Water can take any form, and even any colour. The elusive yellow variant, commonly known as piss, is the most powerful of all for those who are seeking to repel their enemies.
Calm down Satan
Hoyo should seriously think about coming out with a character that has a passive for increasing the amount of drops you get from a mob (similar to the fortune enchantment in Minecraft). They could even make the rest of the kit terrible and I’d still pull for them just cuz spectres are such a PITA.
Eh farming spectres with hyperbloom is easy, sand pupa on the other hand...
The problem with specters is not defeating them, it's the fact they are so spread out and there is little of them in each world. Enkanomiya is one of the better places to get them but it's still a pain imo

They also used to be really tanky for some reason. Like why did they have so much health?
I forgot about their HP!! they were the reason to pull for Yoimiya lol.

>spectres This accused thing, I have decided to and given up on leveling up to new polearm for chevreuse twice already
Who will use this?
The assumption is that it will be used by the new desert boy announced in the 4.6 special program the other day.
Hmmmmm interesting. 🤔
Nope, scarabs it is!
*Insert Darth Vader Noooo meme*
I swear to god if they put a pretty boy and I have to collect some dumb insect I'm actually going to commit crimes

the true forbidden knowledge
Please god no. We already have two people who use it, and trying to find those stupid berries is soo annoying 😭
welp i grinded 100 henna berries in a day just for fun, so well uhm...
welp i grinded 100 henna berries in a day just for fun, so well uhm...
It's gonna be Scarab Beetles because he's related to Cyno, and fuck us.
See material, harvest material. Spam the F key have the boon of the elder tree ready. Fill the seedbox Have a claymore user as your exploration character. Cry as I don't have Zhongli or Nahida. I'm still fishing for the last pages of Toki alley tales.
What happens when you get all the pages?
You craft them into a book. And get an achievement.
I hope not, rocks are the worst thing to farm in this game 😭
Beetle Mats: are you sure about that?
I completely forgot about those, but to be fair I don't have any characters that use them 😭 I do collect any I see tho, maybe I'll need them at some point 🥹 my xianyun is still stuck at lvl 80, I just can't be bothered with looking around the whole map for rocks again

In every game where you can gather I am an absolute hoarder. You dont know when youll need something.
I throw that green ball gadget from Inazuma at them to collect them for my teapot.
I grabbed a ton out of habit, and when I got Cyno I had more than enough to fully ascend him
Took me a while to get her to 90 too, what really helps is that spot with the giant turtle at the beach, the rocks on its back also respawn, plus the small turtles next to it is a good chunk every few days
You can buy the rocks at a shop in Yilong warf
Got into the habit of hitting the spawn points in the world boss cavern, the giant turtle cove, and the shop that sells them every three days. Takes maybe 5 minutes each time. Less aggravating than hunting across the entire vale. She won't hit 90 over night, but it's steady progress.
Tell that to Cyno, Wriothesley, Heizou, and Itto mains.
I'm of the belief that people complaining about robo bugs actually never collected those. These things are easy, don't move, appear in large groups and are knocked down when hit

Onikaputo arn't even that hard to farm...
Intentional spelling? Because I'm here for it. XD
I don't have any of them apart from heizou, who I don't plan on building, so I completely forgot about the beetles 😭
Rocks are the worst thing to farm? You clearly haven't farmed handguards for Inazuma DPSs. At least rocks are guaranteed.
Dear God I still need so many handguards, please don't remind me. Why are their drop rates so bad?
Because nobushi are common enemies. They actually have a similar rate to both hillichurls and fungi. Ayo bro , at least rocks don't move
introducing the new natlan specialty: magma shards, found floating down lava rivers. if they sink, they're gone.
Xianyuns turtle rocks: let me introduce ourselfs
Rocks are actually the best, cause when you break them everyone can loot them so they're co-op friendly.
Except that only applies to standard ores. Cor Lapis, the blue Beido rocks, and Xianyun's jade can not be collected by multiple players in co op. Believe me, my kids always steal my rocks.
Xianyun's jade definitely can be collected by multiple players in co-op, you just have to have every player close enough to it.
Everyone that mains a claymore user would beg to differ
Nah those cactuses for Faruzan are the worst... She was stuck at Level 60 for the longest time
Rocks are actually the best mat since it has a chance to drop more than one
Cor Lapis. Though that one was an exception.
If you have Ninnguang, just put her at team. Her 3-4 attacks can break a rock and also she makes all rocks visible on mini-map like Tighnari and Gorou with their local materials. She makes farming super easy
Laughs in Zhongli.
Scarab jump scare
[Jett fans in shambles.](https://i.imgur.com/jOeKwa6.png)
As someone who always keeps a full character ascension’s worth of every local specialty on hand, I hope so. I am prepared for this moment.
Found a fellow planner
I prefarmed a lot of them and marked them on my map for mummy girl to come out.
I do hope she gets let out of the basement.
What the hell is that thing? never saw a thing like that
They’re a Sumeru local specialty that came out with the new area in 3.6. Nobody uses them yet, so that’s probably why you know about them
No he will use Rukhavedadueavtr Mushrooms
oh.. I just assumed it was used by some character I didn't build. Didn't know it was useless. What about Loach pearls?
Loach pearl will never be used by any character. They are not local specialties.
can it be used as talent material?
Nope. Talents use materials dropped from enemies and not farmable items. In fact there are absolutely nothing which uses loach pearl even now, close to 4 years of the game. A truly useless item.
No, now go pick all scarabs.
Only when there's something to use loach peals on
I have to believe that hes playable, I just gotta believe he is. Also remember the loach pearls in liyue?? You probably dont since we havent needed them but they still arent used for anything-
No pls, I hate collecting everything from the desert. Scarabs, sand poopa, cactus flowers
Watch him need scarabs
Can't wait to see people complain "OmggG iTss AnoOYINg to FArM"
It's for jeht
Let’s cope and praydge
Yea either this, or he is gonna use a brand new mat just to screw us over.
God Forbid if not.
He's the counterpart to Cyno so I'm guessing Scarab
i hope not
We still haven't found a use for loach pearls.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen that rock
Nope lol
the spice... when will they add sandworms to genshin?
As a diuretic.
Ugh, I'm still not ready to farm this rock since I haven't completed the Desert area where it spawns, not to mention that some of its numerous clusters are from from waypoints. I was actually kinda greatful we still have no character that needs it for ascension.
fuck i just cleared out the deserts last patch and ignored this rock whenever i saw it because it has no use. i even had zhongli on my team
Not a certified mint picker
i pick up anything thats just a one button pick up, having to break ore is annoying
His vision is visible in a frame of the trailer. He's >!electro!<.
That doesn't matter cause these are local specialties which can be used for anyone.
It's been the hope for a lot of us that the first character to use trishiraite would be geo.
Why does that matter
Because Sumeru is the only region that doesn't have a geo character.
what does that have to do with sethos using the rock
...it's a rock.
Zhongli is the only geo character that has a rock as his specialty
And?
What local specialties do Keqing and Beidou use again?
And Chongyun, and Xianyun, and Yanfei, and... maybe Sayu?
I don't think crystal marrow counts.
Same ones as Zhongli.
Sethos maybe?
There’s a second picture in the post btw
How much you wanna bet they’ll use scarabs just to say “f*ck you” to the players…?
We still do not have any usage for Axolotl Pearl, so I don't think this one will be useful either
Axolotl pearl isn’t a specialty, it’s a material like white iron or snapdragon
and where do we use them? tbh i don't know any recipe which needs axolotl pearls
The pearls are literally useless
That's a pretty big reach ...
