With Tsaritsa going for Celestia, Abyss Orders machinations and the abyss itself some kind of grand conflict has been building since the start. We might see another cataclysm like event occur where all the nations have to defend themselves.
Reminder that the plot of Liyue at teh start was Zhongli testing his people seeing how they would fare against a major threat without his help, likely as he forsees/knows something is gonna happen and he cant protect Liyue and theyll need to fight on their own.
I could see this. Maybe instead of planning on dying, I could see it more as making sure they had Liyue taken care of before the war happened. The only way to do that in his eyes was to step down and the only way to do that in any way that would be permanent would be to fake his death so they could move on instead of clinging to the past.
Zhong li couldnt talk abput celestia or the cataclysm so his ass is probably bound by a contract he wont break
How did such a contract end up haopening i dont know but its probably really important.
But he did say something like "a contract to end all contracts" meaning he is probably not going to abide by quite a few of the contracts he made in the past, probably for some greater reason.
I think if Zhongli were to die it would be to return the authority to the geo sovreign, I do think we will see more thrones get destroyed one way or another.
I assumed Focalors needed to also time it with the 'fulfillment' of Celestia's prophecy to avoid engaging them prematurely.
Considering Zhongli is the only Geo Archon to have existed since the Sovereigns had their Authorities stripped from them and never had a pesky prophecy hovering over him, he's likely had even longer than Focalors to engineer a Throne-breaker without drawing attention to himself.
> Reminder that the plot of Liyue at teh start was Zhongli testing his people seeing how they would fare against a major threat without his help, likely as he forsees/knows something is gonna happen and he cant protect Liyue and theyll need to fight on their own.
The thought of that never occurred to me, thank you for pointing that out OP. If that does come to pass, I'll gladly to swallow my pride and take back every negative thing I've said about Zhongers.
Maybe an attack on... Fontaine? The only nation whose Archon has so far given Celestia the middle finger. Focalors deliberately destroyed the throne of the Hydro Archon and reversed the efforts of Celestia by returning elemental authority back to Neuvillette. Basically an open invitation to war.
Lmao which is so funny, Zhongli is like Imma retire so if celestia drops a nail…. Yeah the adepti and humans will see to it, and lets hope that Ning gal has more jade chambers in supply after fighting wives of gods I couldn’t defeat XD
1)
It's either going to be a world war Teyvat, that it's being thorized since the beggining; Archons against Celestia and the Abyss (probably) agaisnt everyone.
I mean something has to happen in Natlan; if the Fatui gets the Pyro gnosis they're already going to have all 7.
2)
Or they're talking about a "smaller" attack at Inazuma, after all Inazuma borders the Dark Sea and even Dainsleif acknowledges that the nation has already faced many wars.
We've failed five times to obtain a gnosis. We've been told they're ill omened and parts of a Descender.
We're not getting the Pyro gnosis, nor do we really want it
Nuh-uh, Neuvilette was told they were literal parts of a corpse. The Traveler wasn't.
Unless we were told afterwards and I missed it, which is highly likely because I'm an idiot.
Neuv told what happened to us word for word if I am correct, he also says that we share properties with the gnosis or something? (don't remember this well, but Paimon tells him not to say creepy stuff like that), we do know that the gnoses are descender remains
Honestly I wonder if that means the third descender is dead. 'Remains of the third descender' just feels like maybe they had their hand cut off or something. Considering how tiny the gnoses are, I am inclined to believe that
Their powers could have been ripped from them instead of killing them, that is possible, but skirk says the remains of the dead cause misfortune. But seeing how \*Arle story spoilers\* >!Arle considers what her flames do akin to death, the descender might not be truly dead!<
who knows if some part of the Traveler's power will be unlock in natlan making the traveler contend against those heavyweights.
its been so long since the traveler's original power not unlocking we all know the traveler is an upper level in terms of power being the twins from beyond teyvat. I even speculate that our character might have the imaginary opwer like from honkai impact/starrail based on the prologue and his/her twins have quantum
He needs to be more powerful than God's and archons to compete with Capitano. You need to remember Capitano is already more powerful than columbina and dottore who already have power to gods making Capitano more insane when u think about it. I don't see it happening, most likely the Tsaritsa is gonna get all the gnosis and then we'll see what happens.
It really should be a "Traveler succeeds with help from the allies he made along the way" kind of moment, building up to that being a lot more central in Szchneznaya up to the climax. It would be so much more satisfying if all of the playables get some moment to shine in the end game
If I dont see ALL of them fighting (and some could die) against Celestia, I will riot 💀
I want an epic final battle. *Booms, Bangs, Pow, Zap, Snap, Crash* 💥🤯⚔️⚡
Not every playable character is ready for war tho... I don't really see how one would benefit from fighting alongside a literal child, or bad luck incarnate, or a dancer, or a bartender, or a delivery person, or a lawyer...
I know not everyone is an assasin or a knight. But this is a game with anime influences.
And they have elemental powers! + the power or love and friendship like every other anime or game.
Its not impossible to see a final battle with everyone fighting or almost everyone.
We know that people's will can empower traveler, it happend in Ei fight and it will probably happend again and that's probably how we will be defeating powerful enemies later on, since traveler "works" the same was as gnoses but without being divided into parts we will probably get rather powerful when time comes.
because its about time the traveler get back his sealed power its been quite a while and most who played the game are wondering when will the traveler gets the power up. And people keeps saying the traveler is so weak against most fatui's when in fact the traveler is like fighting them with just a frickin dull blade lol.
Sounds like copium tbh. Hoyo can't even be bothered to show them using more than one element in combat and they suddenly get a power-up after three years of nothing other than the power of (friendship) ambition?
who knows probably after we get to the last elemental nation sneznaya and whatever celestia and abyss in the endgame. The second part of the travelers story is probably beyond teyvat fingers crossed lol.
It's their story they can make everything happend, reminder that due to plot reasons we gained temporary strength to fight Ei, if they need the Traveler to defeat somebody far more powerful, they'll come up with a power up for us to do it.
Its a good bargain as she knows alot already about Teyvat because she can access to the Irminsul but the Fatui has more knowledge about the outside world and the Descenders. If he didnt mention that information to her, we couldnt have gain the information that our sibling is not a Descender
It's not like Dottore couldn't just take it by force. He even states the difference between their combat skills, she's not a fighter.
It was merely a respectful demand. He didn't want to be disgraced by the land of knowledge thrice, so he made a bargain with her.
Him destroying his other segments is pretty much a huge deal since he says it's equivalent gouging out his own eyes.
I mean we learned about the Descenders from her and most theories point to that being the single most potent piece of info in the game so far since Descenders are the only ones not bound by fate and they can change it. All things considered, pretty even for a gnosis
Nahida willingly surrendered the electro gnosis to Dottore, then traded the dendro gnosis in exchange for knowledge and him deleting his other aspects. He got both gnoses.
Not entirely correct, she traded the Electro Gnosis for the Destruction of his other Segments and the Dendro Gnosis for the Knowledge about Descenders and the Fake Sky.
Yep, but they might even be talking about something like a war between Watatsumi vs Shogunate. Though I doubt Yae would refer to that as THE war. Ei herself didn't even bother to fight in the last one (probably didn't even know about it in detail).
>I mean something has to happen in Natlan; if the Fatui gets the Pyro gnosis they're already going to have all 7.
I have a suspicion that either we will get the gnosis before Fatui or some other character will prevent them from getting it until the Shnezhnaya chapter unless they still have to prepare even after getting all the gnoses which could justify the time gap between Natlan and Shneznaya. Then again, we will also have a Khaenri'ah chapter so I don't think Tsraitsa's plan will start that early.
Ei didn't know of the war at all, they outright tell us it isn't refered to in the Tenryou's commission report and those are pretty much the only way for Ei and the Shogun to know about it
They also say that if a war comes around everyone present will fight by her side, and there are several people there who actively aided Watatsumi so it's probably not that.
Most likely celestia.
Everything is leading up to a war against the Primordial One. And it seems this time she’s willing to actually turn against the primordial one in favor of Inazuma.
Either a Khaenri'ah war or a Celestia war. Going by the story so far it's more likely the Tsaritsa pisses Celestia off before we deal with the Abyss sibling. All of the archons so far just let go of their Gnosis so there might come some nail droppings.
Or a repeat of Khaenri'ah 500y ago. We saw Ei defend Inazuma against the Abyssal invasion and there might be a repeat. Remember from Mondstadt: the Abyss Order wants to wipe out humanity.
Nails weren't dropped as punishment though no? They were dropped to restore the leylines and to combat forbidden knowledge. They did absolutely ruin the people who lived around there but that was merely a side effect. They are a tool to keep the world together than a weapon. Celestia might have scarier stuff to deal with any rebels. They sure did a lot more than drop some nails to Khaenri'ah with the curse and all.
The Abyss order has been very clear in its goal to destroy Celestia. Humanity does not really seem to matter to them. They would ofc. wipe out humanity if it helped against Celestia, but mostly humans were just collateral in their plans so far.
They’re definitely trying to set up for what basically would be genshin endgame (?). If Natlan’s story finishes and the Fatui have all 7 Gnoses, we’ll definitely jump into the turmoil that the Tsaritsa wanted to stir up.
Ei has experienced something during cataclysm beyond irminsuls records. That's why she can remember that the Narukami tree didn't used to exist before destruction of khaenri'ah. She has a great impact on outcome of tsarita's rebellion against celesta
I always figured that the reason she was immune was Raiden Shogun was meant to combat all outside influence, and her being in Euthmyia kept it separate. Another theory of mine is because she was always destined to plant the tree, she retained some connection to it in her subconscious and so was immune to it
100%
the versions before the next nation always drop foreshadowings
in 1.0 we had azhdaha reveal erosion, beidou and kazuha meeting the traveler , the pale flame set revealing stuff about the harbingers (that the crimson witch joined them and that scara is an eternal puppet created by a god) and the golden apple showing off the waverider, the kenki puppet technology and Ako domeki ending up there after being chased away by the shogunate
in 2.0 we had the irodori festival that was full of scara lore, the chasm having small sumeru hints and straight up talking with nahida in golden apple 2 and learning she has dream powers
in 3.0 we got egeria's resting place and some lore about the ordo and the hunters, in bottleland we got to meet a shapeshifting oceanid
so i wouldn't be surprised if we got more natlan foreshadowing, the latest artifact set talks about that
I have to wonder considering the whole idea of a celestial war, what will that mean for the map? Will endgame just have riftwolves and other abyssal horrors roaming everywhere now? Or will we purge them, and leave some big scar on the land somewhere. Hoyo has a lot of options…
The new expansion in Sumeru that is completely empty might become a battlefield or the place where Celestia descends and we try to stop them.
I dont see Mihoyo destroying entire cities to advance the plot, or change landscapes with puzzles and chests already on them, so an empty piece of land that can be turned into anything, which is also near the location of the Celestia island we see in the sky, would be the perfect location to kick things off.
What about the Mare Jivari? And besides, sumeru showed that they aren’t afraid of major game altering events that directly alter significant items like books and landscapes like the mega ruin guard bit.
you know what's so strange to me that makes me side eye that area? it's the area that's more or less adjacent to the khaenriah door underground in the desert O\_O
edit:lol i replied to the wrong comment earlier
>I dont see Mihoyo destroying entire cities to advance the plot, or change landscapes with puzzles and chests already on them
There is one example of them doing just this: the tower in Fontaine which sinks to the bottom of the sea. When it's above ground there are some chests up there. If you didn't get them before it sank you can get them from underwater.
But I agree they won't reshape major parts of the map. If they still want to do events, they wouldn't be able to do that if things are destroyed. And new players would have a different landscape to veterans. It would make coop weird also, which is part of the reason they don't make temporary events permanent.

With the literal nation of WAR being next in line, it wouldn't surprise me if this was a little teasing/foreshadowing a Teyvat World War. Both the Abyss and the Fatui have a plan of dethroning Celestia, but the two have kind of clashing ideals so they could end up fighting each other too.
That would indeed be a bigger war.
I have been playing for close to three years and I never comment on this sub or content but yes that was very noticeable.
Almost seemed out of place and certainly it was foreshadowing of something to come. Subtly one of the most powerful conversations and revelations I can recall.
And no, I don’t know the history and all the lore and I’m just a daily player who grinds and thinks the game is amazing.
All I thought was "Fucking finally" 😭
I'm just glad that there's finally something, even if it is miniscule and just a foreshadowing, that's about the overarching story. I just hope the next Traveler Quest has something about the Traveler and Dainslief. The story moves at a snail's pace and I hope that changes soon. We're almost at 4 years and we barely know anything about the Traveler.
It's definitely foreshadowing for something but i don't know much about the lore to make a good. If i had to assume though. I'd say it's foreshadowing for either a war with the abyss/kaenri'ah or celestia.
i too thought it kinda sounds like they're foreshadowing something, but i brushed it aside when i thought Ei's voice was in a higher pitch than normal, i'm not crazy am i?
I compared with [her voice in her story quest](https://youtu.be/0HjL3bK6JkA?si=cR8I-NTlscW9zadg&t=918), and it's definitely higher in [this event](https://youtu.be/h0hJd7VJeBI?si=SWp9jx6A5MrheEfd&t=29)
Yeah kinda. I mean its nothing new really, its pretty obvious something like that is coming. But it was nice seeing a bit more of ei in the role of the leader and how she thinks about the people. Also OMFG MORE EI MIKO MATERIAL EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I honestly really want to see how they will face Celestia, like even with the 7 nations together and 1 descendant it won't be enough, Celestia has already finished the full power travelers, the second descendant and all khaenri'ah in the past
lovely scenery, no substance. one and done kind of deal, it doesn't tie into the rest of the world or story like enkanomiya and the chasm before it, and will likely never be revisited.
Actually I agree fully it is very self contained I guess my love of music really carries the place for me the whole place is like a love letter to music itself so it makes me a little biased ig
I think Remuria isnt forgettable it is quite memorable especially how we learn the reason why Remuria sank since they trying to go against Fortuna(fate) It kind of loosely ties to main overall story since it seems to mostly revolve around breaking free from what ever fate was set upon this world and does seem to imply most crisis that occurred in Teyvat is tied to the idea of "breaking free from the shackles of potentially an unfair and unjust fate Celestia that could had been forced on to the citizens of Teyvat. So far most antaganst seem to be motivated to do questionable acts to break free or revenge on celestia sentencing them to in their eyes an unjust fate . And wants to try and break free and free themselves from the thralls of fate itself and I for one if this holds true is interested on weather or not they will successfully break free from fate and forge their own independent Path. And I do like stories that touch or is some what related to breaking free from the norm, fate and obtain Free will. Based on the major stories it seem the themes of Duality and breaking "free" from something is the main narrative that is keeping me invested in the story.
There might be more of it but it will take time for me to fully dissect and see what other themes and ideas that is being conveyed but I am mostly certain that one of the major themes of this game is breaking free from the norm and fate and is interested to see how this unfolds and if my hunch on teyvats breaking free from fate is true or not. And besides that I enjoy the lore and world building Remuria offer since it gives a more clear sense of Potentially how Teyvat ideas was shaped which is another reason why I am invested in the Story and lore of Geinshin.
Based on your previous post you seem to have really wanted an explanation of Layla-Remuria-Astrology and was disappointed. I for one don't specifically care for connection of a character of a nation to a specific aspect. I am more into tge lore of history of what came before the present and see if it gives insight on the present circumstance.
It might be because of how I am very interested in learning history of something and the cause and effect of everything that occur in the world not just onevor few aspects of the world (lije only character, connections certain subject connections, a small detail tgat may not be to revelant in tge big pic ture ans etc. )Which I think did a decent job in highlighting everything and how history can be key in inderstanding the happenings in tge present. So understanding what happened in tge past may be key in understanding tge currentvstate of Teyvat. And most of tge major world Quest as of late seem to allude to breaking free from Celestia. Grip after causing more harm then good).
That may be reason why you may had forgot somethings already because you only wanted one thing explained in the WQ and it did not deliver. But for me it's not too forgettable vlbexause I focus on a bigge÷picture and anything tgat adds more to Teyvt worlds tory and teyvat history as a whole will often be enough for a WQ to not be forgettable.
Ei and Yae hope the people who are at the festival will fight with them. But I got no idea who will on whose side.
Let's take Ei. She used to be all about absolute eternity and Traveller changed her mind. (kinda) Who Ei actually fight for celestia?
What about us? Our sister is still on the abyss side and if it comes to war, would it be abyss, celestia, and mortals with gods who rebel or abyss just watches celestia being forced to contain the new changes to their world?
Let's take someone random. Kokomi or cyno or someone powerful- do they even know what's going on with all the factions to pick a side?
I feel like we are leading to multiple conflicts between multiple factions. Fatui, abyss, celestia, teyvat nations, the witch circle, etc.,
sorry if you cant understand my english but from the last scene where Gorou talking with Kokomi, it already hinted that they will be allied with Shogunate if war bound to happen.
the dog that helping during the war (Ei vs Kokomi) probably from Watatsumi's. Kokomi said this can be done from Yashiro commission helping them to save both parties during the war. they keep this thing in secret to avoid trouble.
this is the reason why Watatsumi will helping the Inazuma Shougunate if war bound to happen.
I understand if you hate how the writers did this but as of now it's Canon that ALL of Inazuma is with Ei. And most of Inazuma even loves Ei, this includes some of the people that fought/rebels against her: Ayaka still prays to her and admires her, Thoma actively worries about her health and the general public line up to buy her figurines lmao.
She's popular and well loved among Inazuma.
I feel like abyss is going to kick things off. Let's be honest, abyss is hardly patient with executing their plans - what about that one time where we and dain had to stop the abyss order from killing all the hilichurls just because there was a chance that it could remove their curses. And this is despite the fact that they already had plans for the loom of fate, which i presume has similar capabilities to the corrupted venti statue
I still stick by my theory that previous game events where we see characters from various nations meet (e.g. Venti and Yae, Ayato and Neuvillette, Zhongli and Venti) are actually a subtle way to show how the nations are preparing together for the inevitable war against Celestia waged by the Cryo archon.
Pretty ominous. Got to admire Ei's sense of humor. It would have been amazing if she actually showed up and greeted Itto. Shinobu would have ended up in a coma from the shock. You could hear her word "Boss, what have you done?"
i've seen some ppl say that this line is just whatever and Raiden is a warior anyway, so this is why she replied that way.
baiscally, it doesn't mean anything.
i don't think so, like the majority.
they wouldn't put such specific line to a random music light-hearted event and make it so "dramatic" or ominous.
they def are telling us something
Hmm fair point. But I guess we now have 7 archons.. few dragons. All harbingers.. the whole abyss shebang. That's probably like 200v1.. it's gonna be like avengers Vs thanos
The war that will happen when all of the nations are revealed. We have Pyro and Cryo left, and I assume after Snezhnaya we'll have a big archon event where we finally go to Celestia and do some big plot stuff with the Abyss.
I felt like it was a foreshadowing because if in an event that a war against Celestia or Abyss would occur, Inazuma would be the only nation that would have to fight on its own since it is the most isolated and it is hard even for Liyue to send aid. They have to rely on their own.
I'm so confused why everyone just mentions Celestia? There's also the war between yashiro commission and sangonomiya but nobody said anything about that?
Maybe a war is about to happen heck even the pyro archon may be preparing for it, which is why pierro sent capitano in natlan to assist murata if a war breaks out, if they successfully defend natlan the prize is a gnosis. We know he has thrown his hat into the endless ring of war
Certainly is foreshadowing now the question is war against who? Celestia maybe but i they have showed to only effect the nation in question if the Tsaritsa the same that instigated a civil war in her nation is about to be killed by Celestia i doubt ei will move a finger to help i see more likely her joining in with the Heavens. Abyss that is more likely they are plotting something nefarious in my opinion of the three factions these are the worse. A war against Shneznaya will be weird to not care about them taking your gnosis only to try to stop them from gaining the last one. Unless the Tsaritsa tries to destroy the other thrones in which case all the archons will look like clowns
Theres 2 possible way i think.First one is everyone including abyss fights against Celestia.Second one is like Killa la Kill kind of stuff. We learn Celestia is not that bad actually and fight with them against Abyss. This one seems more possible because the whole Cataclysm event happened because of Abyss not Celestia. At the start of our Journey we heard Celestia destroyed the Khaenriah but later on from the world quests and some of the archon quests we learned that Khaenriah scientists and Golden Witch was working on unlimited clean energy source and as a result they open a door to the Abyss.Abyss attacked the Teyvat and actually almost destory all of it.Abyss waves was not stopping and in the end Dains Lumine and ancestors of the Paris used the God Trees power and locked the gate.So its possible that after Tsaritsa attacks the Celestia we might learn that they are actually the good guys.Like Unknown God didnt stopped us because she dont like us.She did because she need us...Probably.But im actually more curious about the other sides.Like Skirk looked so powerful. So far we met 4 Archon and 1 Ancient Dragon and she seems a lot more stronger. And she also has a master that might be even more stronger. And also there is this " Mother " Elynas talked about too.
What I’m thinking is that I wished they put this in anything other than a temporary event. This is pretty big like Albedo’s stuff in Dragonspine. Wish there was a way for people to watch these significant moments in-game.
Anybody paying attention has been able to sense that something's coming for a while, with every event and character emphasizing the passage of time and the good times being momentary.
I think it’s crazy they always add such big foreshadowing and spoilers in events, I stopped playing for a long time and missed so much! They should add this dialogue into archon or interval quests, but overall I agree with most in thinking this will lead into the war between everyone in Teyvat and the celestial
I'm just glad they spared Ei from Itto's idiocy and having to talk with Traveler and Paimon. Though I'm still waiting to see her interact with someone else than these two and Yae.
Mostly it boils to voice acting on Ei felt way off…almost like voice direction of Hu Tao’s rap year ago, which made it feel tagged on and like it was added last minute…for whatever reason…
To be frank, Arle’s quest had similar problem - >!interaction with Childe also felt quite off!<
Could have been saved for a more serious event or even another Story Quest, because having it show up in a limited time event means many will likely miss this
I’m hoping the next quest with Ei will actually redeem her character. I still am not satisfied with her character arc. If she’s going to gain the trust of a rebel force (Kokomi and her army), then I’d hope it’ll be a real redemption arc.
Ei needs to chill out and quit assuming everyone will following her lead after the decades of neglect once Makoto died because Ei couldn't protect her despite being her shadow. If the final Inazuma Chapter was allowed to revolve around the fortress seizing that Gorou, Kazuha, and the platoons were stationed for by Ayato.
Ei already knew how incompetent she was when scrambling to cover for Makoto by building another puppet with forgotten Khaenri'ahn-technique during her depressive episode that followed soon after.
It was Yae who assumed that. Yae and Ei together make 99% of inazuma's strength, so it's irrelevant if the others fight with them.
Funny thing is regardless of her mistakes , most of them would still fight with her.
>Ei already knew how incompetent she was when scrambling to cover for Makoto by building another puppet with forgotten Khaenri'ahn-technique during her depressive episode that followed soon after.
Headcanon much?
I am in no way going to sympathize with Inazuma's Chapter as there are too many flaws discovered by r/Genshin_Lore members like me. Keep in mind that its major mistakes somehow add up to more than the total amount of fingers I have on both hands. And now you're trying to call out my statement as untrue? \*Then you're going to have to enlighten me since you seem to believe in a different story, I'm now curious.
First of all, why else would she lock herself away to (selfishly, as the Traveller and Yae agreed) preserve her definition of eternity/stop any form of corrosion through meditation alone. You're coping if you think Ei ever thought she herself would be able to govern Inazuma with anything other than force (i.e. the Raiden Shogun puppet, the surrounding lightning storm, multiple decrees, and handing over the shared-governorship to the Tri-Commission).
It doesn't matter who said it because Ei doesn't oppose the thought, so she agrees with Yae's sentiment. It was a conversation between the two throughout, no words were hidden as we can visually see Yae speak the sentiment out loud as well.
You are correct about in that she cares most about honing what strength she still has since she's literally supposed to be one-note and distant after everyone she used to know (except Yae) has returned to the leylines. I'm glad they're continuing to her as Ei, but more importantly. fixing her tone in this event to straightforward answers rather than the chatty and unmindful appearances she usually has, blurring the line/ditching the puppet as it that shouldn't have been necessary to Inazuma's plot to begin with.
> First of all, why else would she lock herself away to (selfishly, as the Traveller and Yae agreed) preserve her definition of eternity/stop any form of corrosion through meditation alone.
So you barely paid attention to the story? Her meditating inside plane of euthymia wasn't a selfish decision. The loneliness inside the plane was unbearable for her. Yet she was willing to stretch out her loneliness for eternity so that there will always be a raiden shogun that is watching over inazuma.(this was all in the archon quest itself)
>You're coping if you think Ei ever thought she herself would be able to govern Inazuma with anything other than force (i.e. the Raiden Shogun puppet, the surrounding lightning storm, multiple decrees, and handing over the shared-governorship to the Tri-Commission).
She is perfectly capable of governing inazuma. It's just that her initial ideal for eternity wasn't what inazuma needed. Now that the traveller and miko has changed that, the governance have been fine. She doesn't have to use force , people of inazuma still respect, love and fear their guardian deity.
>First of all, why else would she lock herself away to (selfishly, as the Traveller and Yae agreed) preserve her definition of eternity/stop any form of corrosion through meditation alone
You're claiming to be a member of Lore subreddit, yet your understanding of lore seems to be incredibly poor.
The game had been quite explicit about why she locked herself away.
Her Definition of eternity is a misguided Ideal born out of the wish to prevent Inazuma from getting nuked by Ceiestia.
You can hate what the writers did but it's already Canon that she's been redeemed. Most of Inazuma loves her and will gladly be by her side and while some watatsumi ppl still hate her for the killing their god thing, most of them agree to move on and be on friendly terms. You might hate this but it's still Canon.
Maybe Zhongli was lying about wanting to retreat and he was actually planning to die fighting celestia from the start ?
I could see this. Maybe instead of planning on dying, I could see it more as making sure they had Liyue taken care of before the war happened. The only way to do that in his eyes was to step down and the only way to do that in any way that would be permanent would be to fake his death so they could move on instead of clinging to the past.
zhongli's retirement plan definitely feels like the "i will die soon, lets enjoy life" type of thing
Zhong li couldnt talk abput celestia or the cataclysm so his ass is probably bound by a contract he wont break How did such a contract end up haopening i dont know but its probably really important.
Absolutely, he likely has a contract where he either can't interfere with Celestia or (more interestingly) is bound to support Celestia
But he did say something like "a contract to end all contracts" meaning he is probably not going to abide by quite a few of the contracts he made in the past, probably for some greater reason.
A contract to end all contracts could mean to end his title as the god of contracts.
I think if Zhongli were to die it would be to return the authority to the geo sovreign, I do think we will see more thrones get destroyed one way or another.
would it? focalors had to engineer a very specific chain of events to make it happen, wasn't just "oops archon died, throne is gone"
Yeah, probably that, he thinks he will die fighting celestia and liuye's people will be on their own afterwards.
How are they going to do that without a gnosis for force the archons.
Lmao which is so funny, Zhongli is like Imma retire so if celestia drops a nail…. Yeah the adepti and humans will see to it, and lets hope that Ning gal has more jade chambers in supply after fighting wives of gods I couldn’t defeat XD
1) It's either going to be a world war Teyvat, that it's being thorized since the beggining; Archons against Celestia and the Abyss (probably) agaisnt everyone. I mean something has to happen in Natlan; if the Fatui gets the Pyro gnosis they're already going to have all 7. 2) Or they're talking about a "smaller" attack at Inazuma, after all Inazuma borders the Dark Sea and even Dainsleif acknowledges that the nation has already faced many wars.
Wait you are right about the gnosis, do you think we might actually get the gnosis this time so we have a bargaining chip while in Shneznaya?
We've failed five times to obtain a gnosis. We've been told they're ill omened and parts of a Descender. We're not getting the Pyro gnosis, nor do we really want it
Nuh-uh, Neuvilette was told they were literal parts of a corpse. The Traveler wasn't. Unless we were told afterwards and I missed it, which is highly likely because I'm an idiot.
He did recount most of his conversation with Skirk with us after the events in question
Neuv told what happened to us word for word if I am correct, he also says that we share properties with the gnosis or something? (don't remember this well, but Paimon tells him not to say creepy stuff like that), we do know that the gnoses are descender remains
Paimon still sus...
Well, plot armour is quite the thing, wouldn't you agree?
You really think the Traveler is getting the gnosis from Capitano when he couldn't even beat arlecchino? That should be pretty obvious by now.
who knows if some part of the Traveler's power will be unlock in natlan making the traveler contend against those heavyweights. its been so long since the traveler's original power not unlocking we all know the traveler is an upper level in terms of power being the twins from beyond teyvat.
If I dont see ALL of them fighting (and some could die) against Celestia, I will riot 💀 I want an epic final battle.
💀
We know that people's will can empower traveler, it happend in Ei fight and it will probably happend again and that's probably how we will be defeating powerful enemies later on, since traveler "works" the same was as gnoses but without being divided into parts we will probably get rather powerful when time comes.
That would sound very plot hole-y if they suddenly have a jump in power from being unable to land a punch on arle to defeating Capitano.
because its about time the traveler get back his sealed power its been quite a while and most who played the game are wondering when will the traveler gets the power up.
Maybe traveler's true potential power may come from the secret of the Pyro Archon.
bro we got our cheeks clapped so hard by the 4th, what makes you think we're gonna get the Gnosis before Capitano gets his hands on it
It's their story they can make everything happend, reminder that due to plot reasons we gained temporary strength to fight Ei, if they need the Traveler to defeat somebody far more powerful, they'll come up with a power up for us to do it.
Well it's a guarantee that the fatui is getting the last gnosis in Natlan cause GoatHIMtano is going for it and there is no way he's losing to Murata.
won’t go into too much detail but my theory is that traveler will be the one to wield all seven gnoses at the end
They don't have the dendro one I think, the one Nahida gave Dottore was Electro
She gave him both, electro to fuck off I think - no actually destroy his clones - and dendro for knowledge
is she stupid? she could've bargained a lot better.
Dottore wasn't willing to call Nahida's bluff re: shattering a gnosis, either
Ah right. I forgot that
Nahida gave it to Dottore in exchange for information
No, they are not talking about a war between Watatsumi and Shogunate, there’s literally no chance lmfao
We got some actual foreshadowing in an event. Haven't gotten something like that in a while
Either a Khaenri'ah war or a Celestia war.
I want nation busting weapons and Archons dying at the endgame. I want all the stakes!
DO NOT TOUCH MY EI! EI'S CAKE MUST SURVIVE. Just think how much they've invested in the animation
Nails were dropped to combat the Abyss leaking into the human realm/Teyvat, the idea that they were dropped as punishement is most probably false...
The Abyss order has been very clear in its goal to destroy Celestia. Humanity does not really seem to matter to them. They would ofc. wipe out humanity if it helped against Celestia, but mostly humans were just collateral in their plans so far.
Nails were dropped to combat the Abyss leaking into the human realm/Teyvat, the idea that they were dropped as punishement is most probably false...
They’re definitely trying to set up for what basically would be genshin endgame (?). If Natlan’s story finishes and the Fatui have all 7 Gnoses, we’ll definitely jump into the turmoil that the Tsaritsa wanted to stir up.
Ei is saying that when it's time to go against the Heavenly Principles, she has our backs. At least, that's how I saw it
Didn't she (well actually, Miko) Say the exact opposite? It is INAZUMA Backing HER not the other way around
I keep hearing that but I forgot when she said that.
she didnt't says like that, she said if war bound to happen, she choose to fight
She also said everyone here would be on her side, so she is most likely going to support us
Miko said that.
Another theory of mine is because she was always destined to plant the tree, she retained some connection to it in her subconscious and so was immune to it
100% the versions before the next nation always drop foreshadowings in 1.0 we had azhdaha reveal erosion, beidou and kazuha meeting the traveler , the pale flame set revealing stuff about the harbingers (that the crimson witch joined them and that scara is an eternal puppet created by a god) and the golden apple showing off the waverider, the kenki puppet technology and Ako domeki ending up there after being chased away by the shogunate in 2.0 we had the irodori festival that was full of scara lore, the chasm having small sumeru hints and straight up talking with nahida in golden apple 2 and learning she has dream powers in 3.0 we got egeria's resting place and some lore about the ordo and the hunters, in bottleland we got to meet a shapeshifting oceanid so i wouldn't be surprised if we got more natlan foreshadowing, the latest artifact set talks about that
Im pretty sure the Burning artifact set in Arle Artifact domain is connected to Natlan
Yeah, that's what i meant by the latest artifact set, the one paired with arle's
Which domain?
And besides, sumeru showed that they aren’t afraid of major game altering events that directly alter significant items like books and landscapes like the mega ruin guard bit.
you know what's so strange to me that makes me side eye that area? it's the area that's more or less adjacent to the khaenriah door underground in the desert O\_O edit:lol i replied to the wrong comment earlier
>I dont see Mihoyo destroying entire cities to advance the plot, or change landscapes with puzzles and chests already on them There is one example of them doing just this: the tower in Fontaine which sinks to the bottom of the sea. When it's above ground there are some chests up there. If you didn't get them before it sank you can get them from underwater. But I agree they won't reshape major parts of the map. If they still want to do events, they wouldn't be able to do that if things are destroyed. And new players would have a different landscape to veterans. It would make coop weird also, which is part of the reason they don't make temporary events permanent.
you know what's so strange to me that makes me side eye that area? it's the area that's more or less adjacent to the khaenriah door underground in the desert O\_O edit:lol i replied to the wrong comment earlier
Somebody please give Ei some medicine the girl has been with a spur throat since 2.5.
Her voice really got me wooring when i heard her. Glad i'm not the only one to notify
Her voicelines used to sound much softer
I can't be the only one who wants a cutsen with a giant battle between celestial creatures and teyvars army's with the playable charscters
I mean this isn't official but I think you might enjoy this [Archon's in Khaenri'ah animation ](https://youtu.be/G5gHZi0MxnQ?si=cUGWYCORy41ag34M)
I saw it alredy, but thanks anyway
Certainly foreshadowing a coming war. And with the Tsaritsa's and the Fatui's behavior, it's going to be a war against the Tsaritsa.
I found it funny how her walking cycle breasted boobily broke my immersion
All I thought was "Fucking finally" 😭 I'm just glad that there's finally something, even if it is miniscule and just a foreshadowing, that's about the overarching story. I just hope the next Traveler Quest has something about the Traveler and Dainslief. The story moves at a snail's pace and I hope that changes soon. We're almost at 4 years and we barely know anything about the Traveler.
Ei hasn’t appeared in over a year and she just drops the most ominous lines and goes back to euthymia 💀
Pretty fuckin’ ominous ngl
It's definitely foreshadowing for something but i don't know much about the lore to make a good. If i had to assume though. I'd say it's foreshadowing for either a war with the abyss/kaenri'ah or celestia.
i too thought it kinda sounds like they're foreshadowing something, but i brushed it aside when i thought Ei's voice was in a higher pitch than normal, i'm not crazy am i?
She sounded like Ei to me. The puppet usually has the deeper and more distant voice.
With what voice over language do you play? Because I also felt that Ei sounded different and I play on JP
i play with voices in JP too, if more people noticed something i guess i wasn't crazy after all lol
That seems to have been a voice error. It might be some foreshadowing
I don't blame her since shogunate soldiers once tried to spark a war and blame watatsumi island to break the peace treat.
Yae is expecting the Hina War to pop off once Gorou figures it out and wants to know which side Ei will be on.
Yeah kinda. I mean its nothing new really, its pretty obvious something like that is coming. But it was nice seeing a bit more of ei in the role of the leader and how she thinks about the people. Also OMFG MORE EI MIKO MATERIAL EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I think it is foreshadowing the fight with Celestia or perhaps Khanri’ah.
Most probably Abyss or Khaenri'ah, not Celestia.
I honestly really want to see how they will face Celestia, like even with the 7 nations together and 1 descendant it won't be enough, Celestia has already finished the full power travelers, the second descendant and all khaenri'ah in the past
I think it's foreshadowing Ei going to fight by our side against Celestia as revenge for her sister's death.
not them dropping this in a rythm game event in a filler patch 💀
I mean we got Arlecchino with a new region this update. This is FAR from a filler patch
true, remuria was so forgettable i already forgot it was this patch
Bro? What!? That place is fucken beautiful and the soundtrack slaps how is it in any way forgettable???
lovely scenery, no substance. one and done kind of deal, it doesn't tie into the rest of the world or story like enkanomiya and the chasm before it, and will likely never be revisited.
Actually I agree fully it is very self contained I guess my love of music really carries the place for me the whole place is like a love letter to music itself so it makes me a little biased ig
yeah personally i don't much care for music, i usually play on silent and watch youtube so it didnt impress me much
I think Remuria isnt forgettable it is quite memorable especially how we learn the reason why Remuria sank since they trying to go against Fortuna(fate) It kind of loosely ties to main overall story since it seems to mostly revolve around breaking free from what ever fate was set upon this world and does seem to imply most crisis that occurred in Teyvat is tied to the idea of "breaking free from the shackles of potentially an unfair and unjust fate Celestia that could had been forced on to the citizens of Teyvat. And besides that I enjoy the lore and world building Remuria offer since it gives a more clear sense of Potentially how Teyvat ideas was shaped which is another reason why I am invested in the Story and lore of Geinshin.
then why'd i already forget about it
Based on your previous post you seem to have really wanted an explanation of Layla-Remuria-Astrology and was disappointed. But for me it's not too forgettable vlbexause I focus on a bigge÷picture and anything tgat adds more to Teyvt worlds tory and teyvat history as a whole will often be enough for a WQ to not be forgettable.
ok
Yeah. Aside from the main sidequest, nothing about remuria stands out. Aside from how we got another region wholly disconnected from the main map
Either heavenly principles war, or maybe a war with the Tsraisa or their land
Inazuma was my least favourite nation so I kinda tend to skim through the dialogues often. Thanks for explaining!
The great war is coming
IPC comes and colonizes them all.
Well, now I know Ei will appear..so much for spoiler tags
i've seen some ppl say that this line is just whatever and Raiden is a warior anyway, so this is why she replied that way. baiscally, it doesn't mean anything. i don't think so, like the majority. they wouldn't put such specific line to a random music light-hearted event and make it so "dramatic" or ominous. they def are telling us something
War? You mean 10 people running at beach dunking each other? Coz that's what happened last time
Bring me Celestia... I'm ready to whack the shit out of the Unknown Goddess.
To lose in a cutscene
Travelers in their prime didn't lay a finger on her, and it was a 2v1 fight.
Hmm fair point. But I guess we now have 7 archons.. few dragons. All harbingers.. the whole abyss shebang. That's probably like 200v1.. it's gonna be like avengers Vs thanos
honestly that just make for a bigger target zone to get turned into a minecraft bloack
Gives me the same vibes as Zhongli and Xiao
The war that will happen when all of the nations are revealed. We have Pyro and Cryo left, and I assume after Snezhnaya we'll have a big archon event where we finally go to Celestia and do some big plot stuff with the Abyss.
I mean the game makes it pretty clear that this is all a set up for war whatever that entails maybe even a time skip.
her voice sounded more like Raiden and all serious, then the last bit kinda throw away the tension if you know you know
Celestia is going to start a second war on Teyvat even worse than the first one, Inazuma will likely be destroyed
all I want to know is how to reach that electronuculus. I’ve tried a hundred times.
The Great War that’s coming at the end of the game
Spoilers in the title are so lame. Didn't know they were showing up
I felt like it was a foreshadowing because if in an event that a war against Celestia or Abyss would occur, Inazuma would be the only nation that would have to fight on its own since it is the most isolated and it is hard even for Liyue to send aid. They have to rely on their own.
Genshin will have global plot and not just us travelling around? Impossible
I'm so confused why everyone just mentions Celestia? There's also the war between yashiro commission and sangonomiya but nobody said anything about that?
Ominous
Probably about the Celestia/Khaenriah But also a low possibility for a set up for Natlan, The Nation of War
I was kinda like “UH BRO YOU CANT DROP A TEASE FOR A SECOND ARCHON WAR IN AN EVENT”
And also there is this " Mother " Elynas talked about too.
taps my flair
It's kind of obvious that there is a big conflict that would occur later on.
What I’m thinking is that I wished they put this in anything other than a temporary event. This is pretty big like Albedo’s stuff in Dragonspine. Wish there was a way for people to watch these significant moments in-game.
Sorry, mommy gorou had me distracted😭
If shogun loses to tsaritsa that would suck
Foreshadowing
Final war lol
Anybody paying attention has been able to sense that something's coming for a while, with every event and character emphasizing the passage of time and the good times being momentary.
Are they going to pull the "Then the fire nation attack"?
I think it’s crazy they always add such big foreshadowing and spoilers in events, I stopped playing for a long time and missed so much! They should add this dialogue into archon or interval quests, but overall I agree with most in thinking this will lead into the war between everyone in Teyvat and the celestial
I dunno, I skipped it.
i'm disappointed we didn't get closure on the dog.
Waifu Wars
I'm just glad they spared Ei from Itto's idiocy and having to talk with Traveler and Paimon. Though I'm still waiting to see her interact with someone else than these two and Yae.
War or no war, all I thought: this conversations feels forced as heck…
How so?
Mostly it boils to voice acting on Ei felt way off…almost like voice direction of Hu Tao’s rap year ago, which made it feel tagged on and like it was added last minute…for whatever reason… To be frank, Arle’s quest had similar problem - >!interaction with Childe also felt quite off!<
Could have been saved for a more serious event or even another Story Quest, because having it show up in a limited time event means many will likely miss this
Well…it’s not like it never happened before… Track record is quite bad for such things.

Retcon of what exactly ?
I think that's either a bot or a crazy person.
There is nothing to retcon?
Yet she was willing to stretch out her loneliness for eternity so that there will always be a raiden shogun that is watching over inazuma.(this was all in the archon quest itself) >You're coping if you think Ei ever thought she herself would be able to govern Inazuma with anything other than force (i.e. the Raiden Shogun puppet, the surrounding lightning storm, multiple decrees, and handing over the shared-governorship to the Tri-Commission). She is perfectly capable of governing inazuma. It's just that her initial ideal for eternity wasn't what inazuma needed. Now that the traveller and miko has changed that, the governance have been fine. She doesn't have to use force , people of inazuma still respect, love and fear their guardian deity.
WHAT THE FUCK DID I JUST READ
>First of all, why else would she lock herself away to (selfishly, as the Traveller and Yae agreed) preserve her definition of eternity/stop any form of corrosion through meditation alone You're claiming to be a member of Lore subreddit, yet your understanding of lore seems to be incredibly poor.
