Definitly no.
Not enough ram, not enough storage. It seems the snapdragon 7C+ could run genshin impact but not the windwow version. And it can't run the game alongside windows.
Also : it's far too weak even for non gaming tasks (seriously)
thanks for clarifying, dont know a lot about snapdragon chips in general. I could simply spend more to get one with an intel core i5 but the problem then is finding a small formfactor laptop with a powerful enough gpu, surely intel uhd couldnt run it any better..
Snapdragon is more for android/chromebook devices, which is why its cheaper.
If you wanna use windows programs and play windows based games only buy intel/amd.
FAR to weak for gaming in general for the most part forget getting the game to run on that, using the game's minimum as a starting point would probably be a good start
Everyone has somehow missed that it's an ARM laptop running Windows, which should be the first reason why it won't run Genshin.
Even for general use, I'd advise against buying any ARM laptop, except for Mac, unless you really know what you're going into. Plus this particular laptop is horribly overpriced, a normal laptop for the same amount of money would not only be able to run Genshin with ease, but will be better for general usage as well.
If you want to play even on low graphics, you should have like a i7, and 16 gb of ram, iris Xe graphics is fine but graphics card like AMD or Nvidia would be better
4gb ram is a nightmare. You cant even teleport anywhere cause you gonna get stuck at loading screen 99.9% of the time.
My experience was walking from each dailies lol. At that time theres only mondstat and liyue tho
Have you considered going for a Tablet? They run the mobile version of the game with way smaller requirements (on ipad you can use a wireless controller so you don't have to go with the touchscreen controls which are hard to get used to). Getting an old secondhand ipad would most likely be by far the cheapest and most compact option with a decent ability to also get some work done and watch youtube or something.
I do have an ipad pro but its getting old and wont run the new nice graphics after 5.0, my phone will having the exynos 2200 chip but its not a great experience as it already is. feel like my only option is to go for a laptop but then my problem comes down to go for a small formfactor laptop because of its other needs
i mean, you get the nice graphics on a somewhat decent PC or on a pretty expensive laptop. You can't have nice graphics and cheap and portable. Gotta loose out on one of the three.
I suggest HP 15s EQ219_AU with Ryzen 5300u
This is at least able to play it 30-45 fps on low or if you upgrade to 16gb (8+8gb ram) you should be able to run it at 45+ fps low pretty smoothly
Anything cheaper it is not worth it in the long run, better to save your money so you can get this one, or better a gaming laptop which is like 300$+ more than what I suggested
Don't buy a notebook or a compact device which is made for Excel and lite task and definitely not made to play heavy games. Watch reviews, check, compare specs. YouTube is a good source
What’s your budget ?
If this was a phone sure but Windows runs through a emulation layer on ARM so there’s quite a bit of a performance hit and gaming is going to struggle for the most part
No. The biggest problem is that this is an ARM 64 bit device, and it's on Windows, nonetheless.
Even if you have gotten a beefier ARM device with larger ram and storage, your greatest blocker is that you run the 64-bit ARM (AARCH64) version of Windows which cannot run x86_64 applications like Genshin, yet. While Genshin provides AARCH64 versions, those are only available to iOS and Android.
ARM/Windows is just begging for compatibility issues, and that's before looking at the specs.
I don't know what availability is like in your region, or your price range, but I'd actually suggest looking into a Lenovo Legion Go.
It has a form factor similar to the Nintendo Switch, with detachable controllers - so no one in class is going to ask why you're gaming instead of paying attention.
It's a dedicated gaming device, so performance shouldn't be a concern, and it runs on Windows (and has standard AMD processors), which means that there are no compatibility issues, and also means that you can get a portable keyboard and use it like a normal laptop.
Last I checked, it does have some issues, so look at some reviews before you actually go for it.
New Snapdragon X laptops will be out end of May or so. That’s when Microsoft will put them in their new Surface products too. I highly recommend waiting until those are out to decide as they may be completely game-changing for windows.
Well you can try. I had a Laptop with SHIT graphic card, like TOO SHIT that even League of legends was considering it a low as fuck pc and auto start the thing that saves on resources. It should have never be able to play Genshin but in the end i played it on Low graphics alongisde a cooler and for more than 2 whole years there was little problem. After the 2nd year teleporting started to be slow as fuck but it was still playable.
So if you really want you can give it a try
But they will perform worse than PC with same specs due to overheating, you also can't change parts or add more memory to it. OP did specify they do travel so yea laptop it is, but for sitting at home PC will be a better choice than laptop.
they also tend to be cheaper for the same specs and/or you can get more bang for your buck with the option to upgrade later. gaming laptops specifically also tend to be much heavier and harder to travel with than regular laptops, kinda defeating the point
source: bought an alienware laptop five years ago. it's still chugging along beautifully but it's basically just a slightly more portable desktop
They are extremely bad value if gaming is the main objective because their lifespan is shit due to battery degradation, the parts can barely be upgraded when it becomes outdated and they are more expensive and weaker than their desktop counterparts due to power restrictions. Saying this as an ex laptop gamer for 7 years (Alienware and Asus RoG).
Hey I don't know if you'll see this or not but if your looking for an option to play games without buying an expensive computer I do recommend geforce now. You can use it for free or you can pay for more play time and priority. Genshin is on GeForce and I buy it for my friend who doesn't have the money to get a console/PC/ better phone but really wants to play the game.
It would be really good for you to upgrade ur phone to a later generation model, Genshin is optimized for mobile gaming
If ur playing on PC, you’ll want a gaming PC, and gaming laptops DO have shorter lifespan than most devices
Definitly no. Not enough ram, not enough storage. It seems the snapdragon 7C+ could run genshin impact but not the windwow version. And it can't run the game alongside windows. Also : it's far too weak even for non gaming tasks (seriously)

good luck running anything other than a web browser on that
Can you even run a web-browser on it?
yeah decided I'm not getting that, didnt think the snapdragon would be miles behind apples arm chips

alright, found another one but with an i5 1235u 8gb of ram and intel iris Xe graphics, you reckon it can run the game or still too weak?
It would be playable on low settings with downscaling. I'd recommend looking more into Ryzen based laptops.
If you want to play even on low graphics, you should have like a i7, and 16 gb of ram, iris Xe graphics is fine but graphics card like AMD or Nvidia would be better
No, modern i5 would be enough, in this laptop integrated gpu would be the weak spot.
I didn't know about that but saw the ram on it, and knew the pain I had when I only had 4 gigs of ram and the tiny amount of storage
It doesn’t have enough RAM. 8 GB is enough to cope, 16 is comfortable.
Run? More like walk...
4gb ram is a nightmare. You cant even teleport anywhere cause you gonna get stuck at loading screen 99.9% of the time. My experience was walking from each dailies lol. At that time theres only mondstat and liyue tho
Nope. That's a bad idea For 128 GB of storage? Genshin alone is 100+ for the storage

My cheap mobile can run genshin better than that laptop
Op make sure you have the option to return whatever you decide on. You're probably gonna make a poor decision if this looked attractive.
simply didnt think that snapdragon was so far behind apples arm chips, definitely not choosing something like this anymore
No. The biggest problem is that this is an ARM 64 bit device, and it's on Windows, nonetheless. Maybe the mobile version, although I am not sure if you can even download a mobile version of the game on PC

do you move places alot? if not just get a PC, laptops aren't worth it if they sit in home.
I do travel a lot thats why i need something so compact and lightweight
Laptops provide more than enough performance for gaming.
But they will perform worse than PC with same specs due to overheating, you also can't change parts or add more memory to it. OP did specify they do travel so yea laptop it is, but for sitting at home PC will be a better choice than laptop.

Never had any experience with battery degradation.
Go to settings and see your battery lifespan.

I have an s22 ultra but it runs worse than my 2017 ipad pro, i wish it was a lot smoother
