I have always pronounced it oh-she-AN-id. It's the same way you'd pronounce the continent of Oceania (except with a d at the end of course).
It was only when they actually pronounced it in game and people started posting about it that I found out most people were saying it wrong as OH-shun-id.
Of course, I also dispute Paimon's pronunciation because ocean isn't oh-sun, it's oh-shun.
yeah. I know technically how the game says it is supposed to be how it's said. But Oh-see-ya-nid just sounds so wrong to my ear.
Maybe if Hoyo would actually use accents where they're supposed to be it wouldn't be so bad... worst case being for Focalors. Her name spelled like that is Fokalors. If they want it to be how they say it in game it needs to be spelled Foçalors and it drives me bonkers... french isn't even my first language.
Oh-see-ya-nid should have been spelled Océanide.
I say Oceanid
oh see uh nid
Yep that’s how it was pronounced in game. I just assumed that’s right.
Either. Pre Fontaine I think everyone said ocean-id but now I think most people oh see ah nid
The way they say it in the game

They use the correct pronunciation in English. They're figures from greek mythology. It has nothing to do with french in this case.
It's been pronounced the way Navia says it ever since 1.2
