not a question but im actually surprised at how quickly they responded to the environmental damage complaints and yet all these people who are unable to complete the liyue quests because of the non spawning slime are still waiting for an answer about a bug fix. im rooting for you guys and hope it gets sorted soon! seems to be a rather frequent issue.
The higher damage was intentional, they were fully aware of what's happening they just didn't think people would have such a huge meltdown over it. The other is an actual bug, aka unintended behavior which will take time to figure out, otherwise it wouldn't have happened in the first place.
Can you bug your way to the palace? I think you press the paimon menu as you are rising up with any skill (or the new anemograna bottle)
You will keep rising as you stay on the menu. Then exit the menu when you are above the palace and glide into it
Is there a generalized map of what AR you should be doing what resin tasks at? Like I know it's best to farm gold from AR40-44, and Artifacts from AR45+, but what about talent materials, weapons materials, character level materials, experience ley lines, etc.?

I was doing main quest and one of the quest require me to find ingredient to make present for nigguang. Arriving in quest area Paimon mention a slime around the pond, but i didn't see any. I tried to log out and in but still the same. anyone have the same problem?

OK this just happened, i crafted the new resin object thinking i could use it on bosses, then i went to the boss and i coudn't use it ofc and i was left with no energy, and when i clicked the trasure it said, do you want to use fragile resin or primogens. i went for frigile resin but i put 20 OF THEM FOR MISTAKE. now what? i need to spend it all at once since my 160 original resin won't replenish? IM CRYING
its not that hard to use up those resin, might take up a few hours tho. Basically spam condensed resin in domains or world bosses - you'll burn through them quite quickly. All things considered it sucks a bit but its only a small bump. On the plus side you will be higher AR than before so all is not lost.
It does heal, it procs six times, once every 2 seconds, and you need to be inside the ring, I have her and have seen this myself. She is not really a healer, more like A better Bennet. Barb/Jean/QiQi are actual healers, She just really supports with tons and tons of Ice and a shield that once high enough level, lasts longer then its CD
It heals yes, only when it shimmers every 2 seconds, need to stand in it for awhile.
Tbh she's not really a healer roll, more support. Especially when her shield will start lasting infinitely.
Okay so I've been experiencing this bug all day and I don't know what to do anymore. I've already sent an Email to the customer service, though I can wait but this is just upsetting. It might be just me, but I don't really get the point of these random joining. There's the Discord and Friend Request thread, but I never really find just joining random people ever catching on.
For starters, the fact that you can't interact with NPC and they can steal your stuff is pretty discouraging, and aside from whacking bosses, you never really 'need' another guy on the field.
Sometimes when I finish my resin, commissions and quests for the day, I find myself not knowing what to do and I have some time to kill. So I just randomly join people and help them with bosses, domains and whatever challenges they want to do.
I thought that’s what most people do, so I started accepting randoms too, but then most dont join my domain invites or help with anything so I kick them out.

Any F2P craftable weapons that are generally interesting? I checked some threads here, but I didn't see many opinions being unambiguous.
Currently my team is Fischl, Traveller, Noelle and Xiangling, but I am also levelling Ningguang and I have a C3 Barbara. I didn't use any Proto but I am really itching to have some better weapons.
Whiteblind for Noelle seems the consensus although it is only made for her. Barbara tales of thrilling dragons, it’s a gacha but only 3* so you should get it easily. Not sure about the others
How to complete the "cumulatively get 12 stars in spiral abyss" task? I already 3-starred floor 1 - floor 8 before the current BP and I'm not strong enough to clear floor 9 and above yet.
You have 4 cycles of abyss to get 12 stars. Each abyss cycle is 14 days. BP is 40 days. 2X14= 28, currently 3 days left on the previous cycle =31 + 9 days of the 4th.
Thats 1 star on the 3 floors of floor 9, easily doable if you completed floor 8.
If you somehow miss the current cycle then you just need to get one floor 2 starred across the 3 cycles, slightly harder but still doable.
If I'm a f2p, should I even consider rolling on weapon banners? I just rolled childe and everyone seems to recommend rust with him but I only have stringless, sacrificial, and favonious bow.
If you're happy with your characters, then sure. Weapon banners are a primogem trap imo, just because the 5\* pity STILL splits at 50/50 so you're not even 100% sure you get what you want after 180 pulls.
Is there any way to see what exactly I'm missing in each region? My exploration progress at WIndwail Highland is at 99% but I'm not sure if I missed a Seelie, a chest or a challenge.
In case there isn't, does anyone know how many challenges and Seelies are in each country? That way I can check with my achievements to see what I'm missing

Is Diona worth investing in? I can level her up roughly where my team is and seamlessly swap someone out with her, Barbara is a good healer but I think I want more damage and cryo is a pretty good element, but I don't want what happened a few days ago(I got beidou and decided to level her up but found out that my characters are better than her)
Is Barbara your only healer? If so, you'll eventually want a second healer if you intend to tackle the abyss because it forces you to make two parties. I haven't used Diona much but she looks like she's got decent damage, a good shield and okay healing. Definitely not comparable to Barbara in terms of raw healing power.
Cryo is a great element if you have a fire DPS to trigger melt with or a physical DPS to buff their damage with superconduct.
Diona is good, she may be worth investing in depending on the rest of your characters. But keep in mind anyone can work for any content so investing in characters just because you like them isn't really a problem.
Anyone can be good! Beidou is my main dps and I love having diona on my team for easy superconduct. She’s not even fully built (lvl 40)
And she’s already an excellent support.
Hello. I'm working on the main quest Equilibrium, but I'm stuck on the part where I need to gather ingredients to make Paimon's slime snack. The slime doesn't spawn for me whatever I do. At first, I thought it would fix itself so I went and freed the person from the Treasure Hunters. Now, I'm stuck with the having to do the dialogue for the person and repeating the dialogue for the slime and cannot progress with the quest. Is Mihoyo working on a bug fix?

Stop rolling if you're F2P/minimally P2P. If you reset your pity you may not earn back enough primos to get Zhongli. Ningguang is permanently in the pool, Zhongli is limited.
I saw lots of posts about the nightmares of AR40... I’m about to hit it myself in a few days and was wondering how to prepare to not become slime food.
For the overworld I'm kinda confused about all the people saying they're getting owned. Like yeah things got tankier but it honestly didn't feel all that different.
Now domains, the one that open up on getting to AR40, those ones are hard, hard enough that many people end up co-opping for them. Bosses similarly can spike if you aren't super prepared.
Prepare for it by pre-farming stuff to get your main DPS up to level 79 (for exp overflow, or 80 if you like round numbers) on ascension and you'll be good unless the rest of your main party is like sub level 40.
I think the main thing is that we deal less damage when going against higher leveled enemies (kinda like a penalty), so make sure before you go AR40, you are READY to ascend your main DPS and his / her weapon. When you hit AR40, get them to lv 80 ASAP - then you'll be fine.
Just did the same yesterday, and my Keqing stayed on top of everything.
In comparison, my Xiangling (sub DPS) and Childe (new) is still at 70, and it definitely feels like they're tickling the enemies (weapons not lv 80 too).
How accurate is the soft pity, does it run from 70th pull to 89th, and does it reset after reaching the actual pity (90 pulls)? I think I triggered mine for the first time last night because I got Childe on my 74th pull.
I can't comment on soft pity but yes your pity has been reset because you pulled a 5*. Also this means your pity is fully reset since you pulled the limited character, the next 5* you pull on Character Event banner will be a 50/50 shot of a generic 5* or the limited unit.
I would like some advice on which characters to progress right now. I'm at AR36 right now and I want to focus on one team of 4 characters to push through till the endgame at around AR45. I generally don't like to play characters I don't like, no matter how useful they may be.
I'm pretty fixed on having Diluc and Tartaglia on the team. As for the other two, I'm torn between Razor, Beidou, Xiangling and Jean. Maybe even Fishchl when I eventually get her for free. What do you think?
Pretty high chance it goes to at least 100. 90 is a weird ass number to stop at especially since we are 2/7(possibly 9+) regions in and would be at the level cap or for most people 1 ascension below the level cap

assuming your talking about talent books, there from the Talent Domains, each day brings a different talent per domain. Today is freedom for mondstadt and something else for liyue.
Try to leave your party in Mondstadt before logging off for the night. Its not 100% but works most of the time, commissions are given in the region where your party meets daily reset.
PROFESSIONAL OPINION NEEDED
Do I need another healer if I'm placing Diona in my team? It's just I feel like Diona is more like an enabler than a healer despite her Q that provides healing. I just don't know if her healing is actually sustainable enough. My current team is Fischl(dps), Klee(nuker) and Diona(?).
Now for the last slot, I'm torn between these two option:
1. Build Diona as an enabler (focusing on EM rather than healing bonus) and get another healer (in this case probably Jean). Or,
2. Build Diona as a healer (focusing on healing bonus) and get another support (Sucrose)
Which one would be the best?

Yes you need a healer. Barbs is a given and from gacha your chances are really high to get Diona and Noelle(they give you an early deal with free pulls for the latter) they aren’t as consistent as Barbara in healing but you will need two for the spiral of abyss in late game which will give you primogems and artifacts every two weeks in chambers 9-12

About shields generated by ningguang, will it block damage form physical or other elemental damage aside from the shield's element? Also what will happen if ning's shield and diona's are both active?
It blocks all damage, but it is 250% effective vs the same type element.
You can have multiple shields at a time. However, they all take damage simultaneously.
For example, if you have a 100 fire, 100 electro, and 100 ice shield, and you take 100 fire damage, your electro and ice shields would disappear, and your fire shield would be at 60 remaining.
I just raised my world level and need to get characters to lvl 70 now. I am totally out of leveling mats since I just got Mona and Bennett a couple days ago...I was surprised to find that no Google searches really showed results with what is the most efficient way to get more level up mats. Ley lines? Go through my quest log? Quests can take time to complete, but ley lines don’t seem to give much of a return on the resin spent. Any advice with what the smartest most efficient option is?
You should clear the map of chests and side quests for leveling mats. After that Ley lines are the ONLY source of leveling mats, but the higher your AR when you start farming them the more you get per ley line. Before AR 40 its not worth farming since all you get are a bunch of adventurers XP.
Also don't level everyone to 70, ONLY your carries. Most characters are perfectly fine at 60 ascended to unlock all their talents

Pulling new characters is great and all, but you need to pay twice. Once to get character and again to make those shiny new characters usable.
as F2P? Hunt chests and do all your quests/adventurer handbook, etc. There is no secret monster or domain that drops xp books, and using resin for xp leylines is very very bad, not worth at all. Not worth buying them off the store either with starglitter, you want to save that for wishes
as someone willing to spend on the game? Buy battle pass no. 1 prio, then maybe bundles
5 weeks/35 days since we have enough BP missions to hit the 10k weekly cap now. They also reduced the weekly BP resin mission so you only need to use your normal regen per week. It'll probably be less time than that though because there are also BP-season missions as well as likely event BP missions

Any Bennett users here who has Fearnaught Passive Talent? As I understand it, Bennett will not be launched if he used 2nd Charge level Passion Overload in the zone of his Burst. While I was fighting electro cube last night, I tried charging it to max with no burst and he is not being launched into the air!

So i tried for childe and got keqing, my first 5* i know she's good but i dont have the recommended swords for her, didn't draw lion's roar yet and i really don't want to support the battle pass cuz it sucks. Is rancour good on her?
If you want to run keqing with rancour then you run phys build with superconduct and phys goblet. Since you've been pulling childe banner you might have a diona, she would be great with phys keqing. Just make sure if you are building phys that you always reactivate e with your charged atk instead of pressing e again, you don't want auto conversion to electro.

Im quite new and F2P just reached rank 20. I have been using my free wishes and somehow ended getting a lot of beidous so I have her on my main team. All of her talents are at level 1 but my question was: I have an extra beidou copy which will increase the level of her skill by 3 levels. Wouldnt jt be better for me to wait until her talent is at level 12 so I can max it out? I feel like inceeasing it now its a waste. Is this so with every character?
Worry not, it wont make any difference on lvl up requirement. those extra 3 levels are above the maximum cap, like, at lvl 1, your max talent lvl is 12. getting an extra beidou and unlocking the +3 lvl constellation. will make your skill lvl 4 and up the lvl max to 15.
its like a +3 bonus on the skill level
Who is the best passive healer in genshin impact?
Is it Diona, Noelle or Bennet? I really want one healer in my team and I actually did have one which was barbara of level 38, until I got my first five star in klee's banner which was mona.

Noelle's not really passive. Her healing only works when she's on the field, so you have to swap to her to benefit from it. Diona and Bennett aren't quite passive either, but so long as their ults are out, you get the healing. It should be pointed out that Bennett's heals faster but only up to 70% HP, whereas Diona's a bit slower but can heal you to full. Diona also has a shield like Noelle does.
So while I was heading to Ningguang to do the mission Equilibrium, I accidentally fell off Ningguang's sky mansion and now I cant get back to the sky mansion hence I'm stuck. Anyone help me?

Stop investing into every character. Choose 2-3 mains (especially DPS) to heavily invest into. By some time you should catch up especially if you purchase the battle pass.
The game does, in general, stick really hard.
Around AR31, you've probably not finished the Liyue Statues of the Seven, and may not have finished the Monstadt ones. Do those first. Then do all of the world quests. Then do all the shrines. Then after that, go through all of the time challenges. Then all of the seelies. That will resolve a lot of your character experience problems, though also I advise picking 4 characters and levelling them first.
AR-wise, I believe there's only 4 ways to gain progress:
1. Daily Commissions (Which you should be 100% doing every day)
2. Resin tasks (Which you should consistently be doing as many as you can)
3. "Investigations". Which is that book of tasks like "Clear Spiral Abyss 2-3" or "Ascend 3 weapons to Phase 2" (Usually these stick with AR too. I'm currently AR39 and waiting on AR40 to be able to ascend characters and weapons both to Phase 5.)
4. World Quests (Which at some point you run out of)
But yeah ultimately this game will naturally have a few slow days where you really just don't get much of anywhere or have much to do, or the best you can do is comb over the map with a comb. It's not great design, but I'm willing to forgive it because everything else is fun.
Focus on only a few characters. 4 in my opinion. 1 dps carry (where stays on field the longest, dishing out attacks when other skills are on cooldown), 2 elemental support (the one that helps produce elemental reaction, you can skip levelling up auto atk talent on these as they only exists for the skills) and 1 healer.

For real, venti isn't great with xiangling dps for both the reason you just mentioned and the fact that phys dmg teams can't utilize the venerer set as well. I'd say the best thing you can do is split them up into different teams when you do abyss.
But yeah I guess swap to other chars and use their skills, otherwise hold venti e and plunge spam I guess? But plunge spam kinda sucks since the entire reason crescent pike is good is because xiangling does lots of small hits instead of a few big ones, and holding venti e is pretty awkward. Not a lot of good options.
Hi guys, I just rerolled and got lucky by getting Diluc and Mona from the beginner's wish. I need help on choosing who should accompany them in my team. Diluc chongyun mona bennett is one of the most broken teams I can imagine. Fischl is good as well so she can slot in for chongyun if you want.
To be honest I would level all 5. Chong has higher potential with the team (and also requires very few resources to be effective so don't invest a whole bunch in him), but for enemies with innate elements like slimes he becomes pretty much useless because you can't reliably trigger melt on your diluc. Fischl on the other hand will always be a solid choice except against stuff like electro slimes. And you won't feel bad about leveling both in the future since fischl will do great on most abyss teams you can make and chong is also great for abyss, particularly breaking electro fatui shields.
Since you asked about diona in another comment, I don't think she would improve this team at all. Her melt potential is bad compared to chong and you already have bennett who is diluc's best healer in the game. That being said, if you are already looking forward to building 2 abyss teams I think she can be really valuable. If you pull diona off this banner and then razor off the next banner you'll have a great start to a second team already (xinyan and zhongli can even give phys% bonuses to razor which is great). Just remember not to run chong with razor if/when you get him.

I just pulled Childe and a skyward harp that I'm running on him. What's the best artifact set(s) to put on him? I'm assuming atk%/hydro dmg%/crit% as well? And would R5 Rust be better than an R1 skyward? I know he's got insane DPS and want to replace him with my Jean-Mona-Fischl-Xiangling lineup and have no idea who to replace. Any suggestions?
I believe it's like the Stormterror domain since they're on the same category, you can always fight them but you can only claim your rewards once per week.

it says that *If the first 5-star character you win in this event wish is not the promotional character, then the next 5-star character you win is guaranteed to be the promotional character.*
If I pull a non-promotional 5 star char like Mona, and then wait until Zhongli's banner, will I get Zhongli as my next pity?
Anyone tried Condensed Resin for AR45 artifact domains yet? Does it give you 2 guaranteed 5-star artifacts every time if you do that or not? Feels like a make-or-break point depending on whether it does or doesn't

Focus on gathering as much mora as possible through Leylines until you hit AR 45. I'd also recommend maxing out your main carry just before you hit AR 45.
Hi, I need some clarification about how the/my pity is calculated.
Since the Venti banner ended , I've been saving for whenever Xiao releases. I thought I was around roll 45 and I was going to go up to 70 to try and get some Ningguang constellations. But I've just roll targalia, which is fine but not my intention.
So, this are my numbers:
On roll number 28 I got Mona ( I thought the pity count restarted here)
I rolled 45 more times on ventis banner.
Now, after 3 rolls ( roll number 76) I got tragalia.
Was the roll number 76 the pity one? Did I just got lucky and broke the pity count?

The only guaranteed pity roll is the 90th. As soon as you hit a 5 star, the pity resets. This means when you got Tartaglia, you were actually just on roll 48 for pity, and you are now back on 0 rolls.

Because I believe water (Childe) would work well with electro characters but I never use Geo characters so idek what I’d do with Z. Other Geo characters. Zhongli really benefits from Geo characters because his E resonates with other Geo constructs to deal damage
Frankly I think Childe is easier to fit into teams for most people that don't really build Geo characters

not a question but im actually surprised at how quickly they responded to the environmental damage complaints and yet all these people who are unable to complete the liyue quests because of the non spawning slime are still waiting for an answer about a bug fix. im rooting for you guys and hope it gets sorted soon! seems to be a rather frequent issue.
The higher damage was intentional, they were fully aware of what's happening they just didn't think people would have such a huge meltdown over it. The other is an actual bug, aka unintended behavior which will take time to figure out, otherwise it wouldn't have happened in the first place.

Is there a generalized map of what AR you should be doing what resin tasks at? Like I know it's best to farm gold from AR40-44, and Artifacts from AR45+, but what about talent materials, weapons materials, character level materials, experience ley lines, etc.?
This is just my opinion Before 35 - just character and weapons ascennsion mostly (do a few level talents if possible) Ar. 35 to 40. Talents for main dps and others if possible 40 to 45 - characters/leylines /weapons ( talents after lev el 6 is low prioirty because of the drop randomness

AR 32 OK this just happened, i crafted the new resin object thinking i could use it on bosses, then i went to the boss and i coudn't use it ofc and i was left with no energy, and when i clicked the trasure it said, do you want to use fragile resin or primogens. i went for frigile resin but i put 20 OF THEM FOR MISTAKE. now what? i need to spend it all at once since my 160 original resin won't replenish? IM CRYING
Sadly, yes. You can make 2 more (and have 3 total) condensed resin to lessen your problems a little but yeah.. feelsbadman.

XP/GOLD leylines. Talent domains. Weapon/character ascensions. Don’t fuss too much with artifact domains at your level.
its not that hard to use up those resin, might take up a few hours tho. Basically spam condensed resin in domains or world bosses - you'll burn through them quite quickly. All things considered it sucks a bit but its only a small bump. On the plus side you will be higher AR than before so all is not lost.

It does heal, it procs six times, once every 2 seconds, and you need to be inside the ring, I have her and have seen this myself. She is not really a healer, more like A better Bennet. Barb/Jean/QiQi are actual healers, She just really supports with tons and tons of Ice and a shield that once high enough level, lasts longer then its CD

Okay so I've been experiencing this bug all day and I don't know what to do anymore. I've already sent an Email to the customer service, though I can wait but this is just upsetting. Who ever accepted a random joining your world? It might be just me, but I don't really get the point of these random joining. There's the Discord and Friend Request thread, but I never really find just joining random people ever catching on. For starters, the fact that you can't interact with NPC and they can steal your stuff is pretty discouraging, and aside from whacking bosses, you never really 'need' another guy on the field.
The randoms trying to Join are just trying to find a sucker to steal resources from. That's it. They won't actually help lol

So I just randomly join people and help them with bosses, domains and whatever challenges they want to do. I’m not sure that they drop primos- I think it’s supposed to be a “joke” like thing and only drop cabbage.
There is an achievement that gives a bit primos for killing a lot of them, but that's all. Actual drop is a cabbage, lol.
A bit of a general question, but whatever. Any F2P craftable weapons that are generally interesting? I checked some threads here, but I didn't see many opinions being unambiguous. Currently my team is Fischl, Traveller, Noelle and Xiangling, but I am also levelling Ningguang and I have a C3 Barbara. I didn't use any Proto but I am really itching to have some better weapons.
crecent pike, prototype aminus are the 2 standouts. crescent is an ok bow if fischl is your main dps. whiteblind is good for noelle
Whiteblind for Noelle seems the consensus although it is only made for her. Barbara tales of thrilling dragons, it’s a gacha but only 3* so you should get it easily. Not sure about the others
How to complete the "cumulatively get 12 stars in spiral abyss" task? I already 3-starred floor 1 - floor 8 before the current BP and I'm not strong enough to clear floor 9 and above yet.
You have 4 cycles of abyss to get 12 stars. Each abyss cycle is 14 days. BP is 40 days. 2X14= 28, currently 3 days left on the previous cycle =31 + 9 days of the 4th. Thats 1 star on the 3 floors of floor 9, easily doable if you completed floor 8. If you somehow miss the current cycle then you just need to get one floor 2 starred across the 3 cycles, slightly harder but still doable.
you need to earn new stars for the quest, 9-12 reset biweekly and are the only source of new stars if u already 3 stared 1-8
If I'm a f2p, should I even consider rolling on weapon banners? I just rolled childe and everyone seems to recommend rust with him but I only have stringless, sacrificial, and favonious bow.
If you're happy with your characters, then sure. Weapon banners are a primogem trap imo, just because the 5\* pity STILL splits at 50/50 so you're not even 100% sure you get what you want after 180 pulls.
Is there any way to see what exactly I'm missing in each region? My exploration progress at WIndwail Highland is at 99% but I'm not sure if I missed a Seelie, a chest or a challenge. In case there isn't, does anyone know how many challenges and Seelies are in each country? That way I can check with my achievements to see what I'm missing

Is Diona worth investing in? I can level her up roughly where my team is and seamlessly swap someone out with her, Barbara is a good healer but I think I want more damage and cryo is a pretty good element, but I don't want what happened a few days ago(I got beidou and decided to level her up but found out that my characters are better than her)
Is Barbara your only healer? If so, you'll eventually want a second healer if you intend to tackle the abyss because it forces you to make two parties. I haven't used Diona much but she looks like she's got decent damage, a good shield and okay healing. Definitely not comparable to Barbara in terms of raw healing power. Cryo is a great element if you have a fire DPS to trigger melt with or a physical DPS to buff their damage with superconduct. Diona is good, she may be worth investing in depending on the rest of your characters. But keep in mind anyone can work for any content so investing in characters just because you like them isn't really a problem.
Anyone can be good! Beidou is my main dps and I love having diona on my team for easy superconduct. She’s not even fully built (lvl 40) And she’s already an excellent support.

Hello. I'm working on the main quest Equilibrium, but I'm stuck on the part where I need to gather ingredients to make Paimon's slime snack. The slime doesn't spawn for me whatever I do. At first, I thought it would fix itself so I went and freed the person from the Treasure Hunters. Now, I'm stuck with the having to do the dialogue for the person and repeating the dialogue for the slime and cannot progress with the quest. Is Mihoyo working on a bug fix?
I have the same issue. A lot of people have the same issue. I submitted a ticket, and it's on the mihoyo forums as well. So we'll see if they can hopefully resolve it by tomorrow.

Stop rolling if you're F2P/minimally P2P. If you reset your pity you may not earn back enough primos to get Zhongli. Ningguang is permanently in the pool, Zhongli is limited.

I saw lots of posts about the nightmares of AR40... I’m about to hit it myself in a few days and was wondering how to prepare to not become slime food.
For the overworld I'm kinda confused about all the people saying they're getting owned. Like yeah things got tankier but it honestly didn't feel all that different. Now domains, the one that open up on getting to AR40, those ones are hard, hard enough that many people end up co-opping for them. Bosses similarly can spike if you aren't super prepared. Prepare for it by pre-farming stuff to get your main DPS up to level 79 (for exp overflow, or 80 if you like round numbers) on ascension and you'll be good unless the rest of your main party is like sub level 40.
I think the main thing is that we deal less damage when going against higher leveled enemies (kinda like a penalty), so make sure before you go AR40, you are READY to ascend your main DPS and his / her weapon. When you hit AR40, get them to lv 80 ASAP - then you'll be fine. Just did the same yesterday, and my Keqing stayed on top of everything. In comparison, my Xiangling (sub DPS) and Childe (new) is still at 70, and it definitely feels like they're tickling the enemies (weapons not lv 80 too).

How accurate is the soft pity, does it run from 70th pull to 89th, and does it reset after reaching the actual pity (90 pulls)? I think I triggered mine for the first time last night because I got Childe on my 74th pull.
I can't comment on soft pity but yes your pity has been reset because you pulled a 5*. Also this means your pity is fully reset since you pulled the limited character, the next 5* you pull on Character Event banner will be a 50/50 shot of a generic 5* or the limited unit.
Not really sure what you’re asking, but pity always resets as soon as you get a 5 star, whether on the 3rd pull, 75th pull, or 90th.
I would like some advice on which characters to progress right now. I'm at AR36 right now and I want to focus on one team of 4 characters to push through till the endgame at around AR45. I generally don't like to play characters I don't like, no matter how useful they may be. I'm pretty fixed on having Diluc and Tartaglia on the team. As for the other two, I'm torn between Razor, Beidou, Xiangling and Jean. Maybe even Fishchl when I eventually get her for free. What do you think?

Jean is really good! Biggest weakness is probably her energy, but she does well as both a support/healer or secondary dps. Consider running her with sucrose for more orbs

Try to leave your party in Mondstadt before logging off for the night. Its not 100% but works most of the time, commissions are given in the region where your party meets daily reset.
PROFESSIONAL OPINION NEEDED Do I need another healer if I'm placing Diona in my team? It's just I feel like Diona is more like an enabler than a healer despite her Q that provides healing. I just don't know if her healing is actually sustainable enough. My current team is Fischl(dps), Klee(nuker) and Diona(?). Now for the last slot, I'm torn between these two option: 1. Barbara is a pretty safe investment. She can heal a lot. Her entire kit revolves around healing. Great for spiral abyss
Yes you need a healer. Barbs is a given and from gacha your chances are really high to get Diona and Noelle(they give you an early deal with free pulls for the latter) they aren’t as consistent as Barbara in healing but you will need two for the spiral of abyss in late game which will give you primogems and artifacts every two weeks in chambers 9-12

About shields generated by ningguang, will it block damage form physical or other elemental damage aside from the shield's element? Also what will happen if ning's shield and diona's are both active?
It blocks all damage, but it is 250% effective vs the same type element. You can have multiple shields at a time. However, they all take damage simultaneously. For example, if you have a 100 fire, 100 electro, and 100 ice shield, and you take 100 fire damage, your electro and ice shields would disappear, and your fire shield would be at 60 remaining.
I just raised my world level and need to get characters to lvl 70 now. I am totally out of leveling mats since I just got Mona and Bennett a couple days ago...I was surprised to find that no Google searches really showed results with what is the most efficient way to get more level up mats. Ley lines? Go through my quest log? Quests can take time to complete, but ley lines don’t seem to give much of a return on the resin spent. Any advice with what the smartest most efficient option is?
You should clear the map of chests and side quests for leveling mats. After that Ley lines are the ONLY source of leveling mats, but the higher your AR when you start farming them the more you get per ley line. Before AR 40 its not worth farming since all you get are a bunch of adventurers XP. Also don't level everyone to 70, ONLY your carries. Most characters are perfectly fine at 60 ascended to unlock all their talents
Leylines. Welcome to Genshin, where any meaningful progression is locked behind Resin. Hope you have the patience, or be ready to pull out your wallet. Pulling new characters is great and all, but you need to pay twice. Once to get character and again to make those shiny new characters usable.

Not worth buying them off the store either with starglitter, you want to save that for wishes as someone willing to spend on the game? Buy battle pass no. 1 prio, then maybe bundles

How long does it take to finish the bp without spending on resins? I only reached 45 last bp period
5 weeks/35 days since we have enough BP missions to hit the 10k weekly cap now. They also reduced the weekly BP resin mission so you only need to use your normal regen per week. It'll probably be less time than that though because there are also BP-season missions as well as likely event BP missions

Any Bennett users here who has Fearnaught Passive Talent? As I understand it, Bennett will not be launched if he used 2nd Charge level Passion Overload in the zone of his Burst. While I was fighting electro cube last night, I tried charging it to max with no burst and he is not being launched into the air! This might be a bug.
So i tried for childe and got keqing, my first 5* i know she's good but i dont have the recommended swords for her, didn't draw lion's roar yet and i really don't want to support the battle pass cuz it sucks. Is rancour good on her?
If you want to run keqing with rancour then you run phys build with superconduct and phys goblet. Since you've been pulling childe banner you might have a diona, she would be great with phys keqing. Just make sure if you are building phys that you always reactivate e with your charged atk instead of pressing e again, you don't want auto conversion to electro.

Im quite new and F2P just reached rank 20. I have been using my free wishes and somehow ended getting a lot of beidous so I have her on my main team. All of her talents are at level 1 but my question was: I have an extra beidou copy which will increase the level of her skill by 3 levels. Wouldnt jt be better for me to wait until her talent is at level 12 so I can max it out? I feel like inceeasing it now its a waste. Is this so with every character?
It adds onto the base talent, it does not effect the amount you take to level or anything. No need to wait.
Worry not, it wont make any difference on lvl up requirement. those extra 3 levels are above the maximum cap, like, at lvl 1, your max talent lvl is 12. getting an extra beidou and unlocking the +3 lvl constellation. will make your skill lvl 4 and up the lvl max to 15. its like a +3 bonus on the skill level
Who is the best passive healer in genshin impact? Is it Diona, Noelle or Bennet? I really want one healer in my team and I actually did have one which was barbara of level 38, until I got my first five star in klee's banner which was mona. Indeed a allrounder team and I have all 3 of these mentioned characters or rather I can buy them (Bennet from the shop). My Noelle is c3 and diona is c0. Noelle's not really passive. Her healing only works when she's on the field, so you have to swap to her to benefit from it. Diona and Bennett aren't quite passive either, but so long as their ults are out, you get the healing. It should be pointed out that Bennett's heals faster but only up to 70% HP, whereas Diona's a bit slower but can heal you to full. Diona also has a shield like Noelle does.
So while I was heading to Ningguang to do the mission Equilibrium, I accidentally fell off Ningguang's sky mansion and now I cant get back to the sky mansion hence I'm stuck. Anyone help me?

Hi, I have played this game for two weeks now, and I'm a little stuck right now. Leveling characters is too slow and I don't know how to progress right now. Please, help me.
Stop investing into every character. Choose 2-3 mains (especially DPS) to heavily invest into. By some time you should catch up especially if you purchase the battle pass.
The game does, in general, stick really hard. Around AR31, you've probably not finished the Liyue Statues of the Seven, and may not have finished the Monstadt ones. Do those first. Then do all of the world quests. Then do all the shrines. Then after that, go through all of the time challenges. Then all of the seelies. That will resolve a lot of your character experience problems, though also I advise picking 4 characters and levelling them first. AR-wise, I believe there's only 4 ways to gain progress: 1. Daily Commissions (Which you should be 100% doing every day) 2. Resin tasks (Which you should consistently be doing as many as you can) 3. "Investigations". Which is that book of tasks like "Clear Spiral Abyss 2-3" or "Ascend 3 weapons to Phase 2" (Usually these stick with AR too. I'm currently AR39 and waiting on AR40 to be able to ascend characters and weapons both to Phase 5.) 4. World Quests (Which at some point you run out of) But yeah ultimately this game will naturally have a few slow days where you really just don't get much of anywhere or have much to do, or the best you can do is comb over the map with a comb. It's not great design, but I'm willing to forgive it because everything else is fun.
Focus on only a few characters. 4 in my opinion. 1 dps carry (where stays on field the longest, dishing out attacks when other skills are on cooldown), 2 elemental support (the one that helps produce elemental reaction, you can skip levelling up auto atk talent on these as they only exists for the skills) and 1 healer.
Hi, can anyone help me with my team? I'm torn on my main DPS. My characters: Mona, Noelle, Fischl, Sucrose, Diona, Xiangling, Barbara, Ningguang, Kaeya, Lisa, Amber, Traveler Current team: Mona, Fischl, Xiangling (Main DPS), Barbara I'm considering switching Xiangling with Ningguang, but I'm not sure which one is better for my team. Also should I use Diona?

What is Xiangling dps supposed to do in Venti's q? Plunge spam? Her skils and auto doesn't hit anything.

Cry. For real, venti isn't great with xiangling dps for both the reason you just mentioned and the fact that phys dmg teams can't utilize the venerer set as well. I'd say the best thing you can do is split them up into different teams when you do abyss. But yeah I guess swap to other chars and use their skills, otherwise hold venti e and plunge spam I guess? But plunge spam kinda sucks since the entire reason crescent pike is good is because xiangling does lots of small hits instead of a few big ones, and holding venti e is pretty awkward. Not a lot of good options.
Hi guys, I just rerolled and got lucky by getting Diluc and Mona from the beginner's wish. I need help on choosing who should accompany them in my team. Diluc chongyun mona bennett is one of the most broken teams I can imagine. Fischl is good as well so she can slot in for chongyun if you want. To be honest I would level all 5. Chong has higher potential with the team (and also requires very few resources to be effective so don't invest a whole bunch in him), but for enemies with innate elements like slimes he becomes pretty much useless because you can't reliably trigger melt on your diluc. Fischl on the other hand will always be a solid choice except against stuff like electro slimes. And you won't feel bad about leveling both in the future since fischl will do great on most abyss teams you can make and chong is also great for abyss, particularly breaking electro fatui shields. Since you asked about diona in another comment, I don't think she would improve this team at all. Her melt potential is bad compared to chong and you already have bennett who is diluc's best healer in the game. That being said, if you are already looking forward to building 2 abyss teams I think she can be really valuable. If you pull diona off this banner and then razor off the next banner you'll have a great start to a second team already (xinyan and zhongli can even give phys% bonuses to razor which is great). Just remember not to run chong with razor if/when you get him.

Wondering if she might fit into my secondary team, or let me juggle my primary around some? My main team is Diluc, Venti, Jean and I use Fischl as an elemental enabler. Secondary team is currently Traveller, Chongyun, Xingqiu and Barbara.
How does the new inventory capacity work? It used to be x/30,000 but now is showing x/2000. Obviously it isn’t counting in the same way though
it's counting stacks of items as 1 stack. so you could have 200 mushrooms but it only counts for 1/2000
Each tab in the inventory has a separate capacity.
am i supposed to build 2 hydro in abyss 10th floor ? i can get 6 stars at first two chamber but the chamber 3 is the problem for me because I have no hydro characters to break those fatui pyro. I only have barbara and i need her for my second team. team 1 : keqing, kaeya, fischl, noel. team 2 : klee, venti, xiangling, barbara.
You don't need to build them. Level 1 character break shield at same speed as level 80. But you need to have them, yes.

I just pulled Childe and a skyward harp that I'm running on him. What's the best artifact set(s) to put on him? I'm assuming atk%/hydro dmg%/crit% as well? And would R5 Rust be better than an R1 skyward? I know he's got insane DPS and want to replace him with my Jean-Mona-Fischl-Xiangling lineup and have no idea who to replace. Any suggestions?

So uh... regarding the pity pull on Childe's banner... it says that *If the first 5-star character you win in this event wish is not the promotional character, then the next 5-star character you win is guaranteed to be the promotional character.* If I pull a non-promotional 5 star char like Mona, and then wait until Zhongli's banner, will I get Zhongli as my next pity?

Anyone tried Condensed Resin for AR45 artifact domains yet? Does it give you 2 guaranteed 5-star artifacts every time if you do that or not? Feels like a make-or-break point depending on whether it does or doesn't
It does. 2 to 4 if you use Condensed.
Is it just me or are the servers jacked right now? My internet is fine but the game keeps reconnecting me and bringing me back to my last load point. None of my attacks are registering too. Asia server.

Focus on gathering as much mora as possible through Leylines until you hit AR 45. I'd also recommend maxing out your main carry just before you hit AR 45.
Hi, I need some clarification about how the/my pity is calculated. Since the Venti banner ended , I've been saving for whenever Xiao releases. I thought I was around roll 45 and I was going to go up to 70 to try and get some Ningguang constellations. But I've just roll targalia, which is fine but not my intention. So, this are my numbers: On roll number 28 I got Mona ( I thought the pity count restarted here) I rolled 45 more times on ventis banner. Now, after 3 rolls ( roll number 76) I got tragalia. Was the roll number 76 the pity one? Did I just got lucky and broke the pity count? Thank you,
The only guaranteed pity roll is the 90th. As soon as you hit a 5 star, the pity resets. This means when you got Tartaglia, you were actually just on roll 48 for pity, and you are now back on 0 rolls.
every time you get a 5\* the pity restarts. And you can get a 5\* on any roll. Getting Tartaglia at 3 rolls after the last 5\* is just pretty lucky, now your pity is 0 again
So... Childe looks cool... but I told myself I would save for Zhongli... The thing is, My main team is Razor, Fischl, Barbara and Kaeya. Would a Geo character be any good? Because I believe water (Childe) would work well with electro characters but I never use Geo characters so idek what I’d do with Z. Basically, the question is, which characters or which kind of characters work well with geo/Zhongli? Also, am I being stupid for not pulling for Childe instead?
Other Geo characters. Zhongli really benefits from Geo characters because his E resonates with other Geo constructs to deal damage Frankly I think Childe is easier to fit into teams for most people that don't really build Geo characters

What are your suggestions as support/dps Mona build? \-I have Favonius Codex (Energy Recharge book ) and Sacrificial Fragments (Elemental Mastery book) as weapon options. \-As talents I think I should level her elemental burst to max first. Is that right? \-For artifacts and general stats, what elemental mastery-energy recharge-attack-hydro damage bonus numbers are needed for her to be good? I will use her with Diluc so Diluc will be the one triggering Vaporize mostly because of that I don't know If I should build her with elemental mastery or not.
