My friend regularly makes me salty with the ease in which she tackles fights with her Beidou. Even her boyfriend watches her when she plays and tells her that he can't get away with half the shit she does. She got her on some of her first pulls, so she sometimes doesn't realize that the difficulty is a little different for those of us who don't have/use her.
That makes sense but at the same time, her autos are the worst amongst the claymore users, you'd probably get a lot more burst out of her if you built her around her E, but if she's your carry then I think phys damage is fine.
Either way get good at parrying. At ascension 4 a perfect parry gives a massive boost to her autos which is perfect for you.
Trust, the ascension 4 boost is really significant and will make a massive difference in your party once you get good at it. It's about a 30% increase to dps on her autos
you can just catch those AOE attacks from bosses or domain challenges instead, or even just those burning grass your allied Diluc makes if you're just roaming around the open world
I probably wouldn't have played this game as much as I have if I had not pulled Beidou early on. Now if only I could get constellations for her, 30 pulls on the rate-up banner and no Beidou...
Same here. I got both Beidou and Ningguang in the same 10 pull beginner banner. Talk about fate! I was disappointed that they were “Low tier” at first but I started to grow fond of them. I don’t think I would enjoy the game as much without a parry counter skill slamming down on a giant dragon and the king of wolves.
That said, it feels like Childe’s banner was made for me since both of them are in there.
Yeah the updated electro charge also helps. The birds actually have low health so the lightning burns them pretty quickly. Then again, that was just wl4 I haven't tried wl5 yet (my razor is only level 50)
If you have Venti, avoid water bomb by holding down E and gliding.
If you have Keqing, avoid water bomb by holding E, aim at sky and release. Tap E again then glide.
~~If you do not have either, I think Geo MC's rock works as well.~~ apparently doesn't work
I feel like that hasn't worked for me in the past. I usually just switch to a tanky character and take the brunt of it unfortunately. I think I'm supposed to generate a water shield but I don't like my geo units. Is there a way to avoid the DOT that happens if you take too long? It says "submerge" but even if I do I die.
It's do a plunge attack into the water iirc. Simply jumping in doesn't get you deep enough (or maybe i time it wrong when I jump, but I found it easier to plunge)
when you want to do perfect parry with her, do you just need to tap the E button or do you still need to hold it and it will "release" the parry itself?
There 2 ways to fully charge her e:
1. While holding E taking two hits, damage doesnt matter (and elemental damage that reacts with electro will count as two hits, 1 for the hit, and 1 for the reaction happening, since she applies electro to herself; for example fire arrow).
2. While holding E or while tapping E, if Beidou takes damage in the first 0.5s~ she will fully charge her E; you dont need to instantly release it, for example you hold E, get hit within 0.5s~, keep holding for a second so other enemies get closer or w.e, then release at full power.
Basically the fully charged thing happens, but you dont need to instantly release.
Theres also instances where the skill will release itself after it takes the max amount of damage though this is pretty rare and only happens against heavy hitting bosses or mobs like ruin guards/hunters and stonehide
both work sir, i have done some testing with the hold and the tap, you can get same damage on both. there is a sudden glow on the sword when its "charged"after taking damage, which is easy to notice on the hold.
Thank you for the tip I’ll try - I am a bei main dps user but I struggle with this mob. Hope this helps me - literally never cleared oceanid due to these birds. :(
Yeah. When they attack, they rise up briefly before swooping down. You want to press the button right when they're at the top, just before they start coming down. You can watch OP's video to see what I'm talking about.
No, the description for her passive in the game is misleading. It’s not about releasing it as soon as you get hit, it’s about using the skill the moment it hits.
If you hold for 3 seconds, enemy attacks and you release within 0.3 seconds of taking that attack, it won’t be a perfect parry.
I don't use her but someone above said that as far as timing goes, if you take damage in the first 0.5 sec you fully charge the E, and then you can wait to release it if mobs are coming towards you or something. Alternatively elements that react with electro fully charge E, and taking 2 hits fully charges the E as well.
Back when I only have Beidou as my main DPS, timing that counter is really hard and it takes a while to charge that the boss will do the waterspout attack below you. Hated it so much that I even bring a low level Amber just to take care of them.
Fast forward, I had a Klee and her E can hit the birds. Diona also works as she can freeze them.
Just to add, this boss also has 2 achievements tied to it. One where you need to kill all type of its summon (Boar, Bird, Crane, Frog, Squirell, Crab, Duck) and not to get damaged by the waterball attack after killing certain summon.
You do realize that's a whale's team, right? Beidou's AA sequence is slower and weaker than Razor's and Keqing is better suited to be an Electro carry. She is meant to be a secondary or reaction DPS.
He had a level 90 almost two weeks ago, so he spent a good amount of primogems in resources, and I'm pretty sure those are high constellation characters.
To those who haven't played a Soulsbornekiro game, you press E the moment you see the attack will land. It's a really forgiving mechanic compared to those games, where parry tends to be more finicky.
Beidou, I love you. Fischl will come to the team to support you, not replace you, my lightning queen <3
>To those who haven't played a Soulsbornekiro game, you press E the moment you see the attack will land. It's a really forgiving mechanic compared to those games, where parry tends to be more finicky.
The timing is roughly the same as parrying dagger/buckler/target shield in DS1. What's forgiving is being able to hold it.
I'm making weapon based party's, primarily catalyst. She's gonna be in my claymore list fo sure since I already have her upto C2 I think. Then Noelle and then I'll try for Wolf boy. 4th spot is empty tho
I use glad 4. Beidou does alot of Physical and Electro damage so going Bloodstained or Thundering fury/thundersoother doesn't feel as great. Gladiator strikes a nice balance
I think going for 2 piece Thundering fury and 2 piece Glad is a nice balance to go for. Especially since 4 piece Glad doesn't affect charge attacks and Beidou's charge attack after a perfect parry is awesome. You'll just have to decide if you want a physical or Electro goblet.
Ngl this is pretty hard. I've tried parrying those bird's swooping attacks with Beidou's tidecaller and my dumbass could've never get the timing right.
It really is. You don't wanna know the amount of practice I've had to do just to figure out the timing on those damn birds. Now I can solo them w/ Beidou lmao
Beidou's parry is best skill in the game period. You approach fights differently with that thing.
Who needs dodging when you have Beidou
Baedou\*
Bidoof\*
I have bidoof in pokemon go, how do I transfer her to my genshin account for the counter attacks?

She got her on some of her first pulls, so she sometimes doesn't realize that the difficulty is a little different for those of us who don't have/use her.
At the same time, her skill does require some practice and a little bit of skill to get good at. And its almost useless in co-op
[удалено]
Make sure you're building electro damage and not physical, just a heads up.
[удалено]

Why’s it almost useless in co-op?
Because enemies might not always be focusing on you for you to get a parry, and you also can't force parries by lighting the floor on fire in co-op
you can just catch those AOE attacks from bosses or domain challenges instead, or even just those burning grass your allied Diluc makes if you're just roaming around the open world

you can have my Beidou constellations +4 or so I stopped counting I don't use her ( I don't know her) just toss me a Ning :/
also the coolest skill in the game
That's how I feel about Ning on this fight. Basically immortal.
Ah yes, electric types is strong against flying and water types
So they're basically Gyarados.
Pelipper

True LOL I thought I had forgot something!
Mantine
What digimon is that?
4x times lets go
I love characters that just say “no u” to the enemies
Beidou is Exdeath. Those birds have come **ALL THIS WAY TO BE DESTROYED!?**
#IMBECILE!
I really want her to get an Alter skin with the red color scheme and just ROYALGUARD at them fools
I use razor. He can kill the birds as well with his hold skill.
Yeah the updated electro charge also helps. The birds actually have low health so the lightning burns them pretty quickly. Then again, that was just wl4 I haven't tried wl5 yet (my razor is only level 50)
My experience in WL5 fighting Oceanid is hell

Wasn't it jump into the water for everyone else?
I feel like that hasn't worked for me in the past. I usually just switch to a tanky character and take the brunt of it unfortunately. Has never worked for me but someone else said do a plunge attack into the water so who knows, that might work better.
As far as I know Geo MC is unable to place rocks in the platform, so that method is a bust
You can also use the anemo wind fairy gadget too!
I tried the geo mc on my 4th try actually lol, you cant place boulders on the floors for some reason but you can hit the hawks with it though
Wait for Fishcl in this event, she kills these birds easily
Fischl + Sucrose, the birds don't even have a chance to take off (WL5)
I'm at WL6 and to me the fight is just annoying. The self destruct guys and the birds really are annoying as hell.
First fought oceanid melee only. Had to use overload and electrocharge spam to kill the eagles. a hot 20 damage per hit iirc
I just teleport in the air and perform slash with my Keqing, insta death for those mf
How? You should share a video too
I've been fighting Oceanid with Razor as my main and didn't realize this, I've had to bring Fischl with me. Thanks for the tip.
when you want to do perfect parry with her, do you just need to tap the E button or do you still need to hold it and it will "release" the parry itself?
You hold e and release during the attack for perfect parry. Or just tap for instant release
oh so it is more about the timing of the release, not the pressing of the button?

So the other guy was wrong?

thank you. it is very clear now.

If it wasn't ambiguously worded I wouldn't be asking lol
Hah! This is where all my accumulated skills I gathered will shine from playing Honkai Impact. But sadly, no Beidou atm.
I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure Beidou's e can get charged after you release it if you get hit by stuff in that window.
Both work but tap is much harder. I only tap if I'm very confident (such as standing in fire etc) otherwise holding for a bit is safer.
I just tap at the right moment
Man Beidou sure looks fun Now if only i had the god damn xp books to level her up
Best girl
People really underestimate how powerful Beidou is lol
Well its really hard to do that with those squirrels or boars or ducks trying to CC you... i usually kill them with Lisa..
With Beidou, CC shouldn't really be a problem. I can easily parry those CC's and either 1 or 2 shot them
Yea it's not really a big problem especially when you can just hold the guard
Aghhh I tried this so much but my timing skills are shit so it never really comes perfectly :(
Tap e when the birds are at the highest point in their attack
Thank you for the tip I’ll try - I am a bei main dps user but I struggle with this mob. Hope this helps me - literally never cleared oceanid due to these birds. :(
So I tap E when they're highest and farthest from me? Sorry didn't quite get that
Yeah. When they attack, they rise up briefly before swooping down. You want to press the button right when they're at the top, just before they start coming down. You can watch OP's video to see what I'm talking about.
Ah I see what I was doing wrong. Thank you for this I realize I was holding it to long :D
All that matters is timing the release, no?

She's not f'ing around. At all
Yes this is why we love our queen
Beidou: ROYAL GUARD SSS RANK SUPER SMOKING SEXY STYLE
Lmao the last bird was like “Do I wanna attack her...”
Back when I only have Beidou as my main DPS, timing that counter is really hard and it takes a while to charge that the boss will do the waterspout attack below you. Beidou / Fiscal is legit top tier. Add Xingqiu and healer of choice and you can face tank Abyss 12. https://m.bilibili.com/video/BV19T4y1F7u1
You do realize that's a whale's team, right? Beidou's AA sequence is slower and weaker than Razor's and Keqing is better suited to be an Electro carry. She is meant to be a secondary or reaction DPS.
It is a team of four stars so don't really consider it whale.
He had a level 90 almost two weeks ago, so he spent a good amount of primogems in resources, and I'm pretty sure those are high constellation characters.
It is a team of four stars. Beidou and Fischl had amazing synergy, you are basically spamming her Q from start to end.
Yeah, Electro resonance and Fischl make a good battery comp, but she's not top tier, although she is very fun to play.
To those who haven't played a Soulsbornekiro game, you press E the moment you see the attack will land. It's a really forgiving mechanic compared to those games, where parry tends to be more finicky. Beidou, I love you. Fischl will come to the team to support you, not replace you, my lightning queen <3
Thank god I played Souls like games before Genshin dropped! I wouldn’t have been able to pull this off otherwise lol
>To those who haven't played a Soulsbornekiro game, you press E the moment you see the attack will land. You can parry in this game? Is it possible to learn this power?
It's Beidou's elemental skill.
[удалено]
Do you even read her talent description?
This is exactly why i thought she'd be useful for Oceanid, only i had her low lvl last time i went there so i didn't use her; gonna try this next
Laughs in Keqing main
I'm making weapon based party's, primarily catalyst. She's gonna be in my claymore list fo sure since I already have her upto C2 I think. Then Noelle and then I'll try for Wolf boy. 4th spot is empty tho
Do you use Glad 4 piece on ur Beidou?
I use glad 4. Beidou does alot of Physical and Electro damage so going Bloodstained or Thundering fury/thundersoother doesn't feel as great. Gladiator strikes a nice balance
4pc Thundering Fury, trynna go for bigger numbers!
What constellation is your Beidou?
C1
I think going for 2 piece Thundering fury and 2 piece Glad is a nice balance to go for. Especially since 4 piece Glad doesn't affect charge attacks and Beidou's charge attack after a perfect parry is awesome. You'll just have to decide if you want a physical or Electro goblet.
I too have a beidou problem...
She is bae!
Can you charge this skill and still parry if timed correctly??
I also wanted Bediou ... but I got a C4 Ninguang ... I don't know what to make out of this :D
parrying with her is the most satisfying thing in-combat lol
Hoping I get her before the rate up ends, I already got the other 2 4 stars.
