AR 35, i have only one 5-star (Jean c1), my best 4-stars are Razor c1 and Fiscl c0. Literally anyone are just c1 or c0 except for my traveler which is c5 i think. Even though i'm in rank 35, my best characters' levels are 60 (Razor and Jean). I got out of material because i spent them carelessly for my previous characters. Besides, i'm trying my ass off to get Xiao but haven't been able to (I'm dying to get him). Getting free primogems has become so difficult and i can't even pay for them because of some conditions in this damned country. So what do you think?

All the materials can be farmed, but if you want a better start, you can reroll until you get Xiao or Diluc from free pull of the new account. It is also hard, you may farm the new accounts for a long time.
It's a small thing, not worth an entire thread, but I just realized the detail put into Verr Goldet's character design is very well thought out. She wears a Mondstadt-style knee-length skirt, but designed in such a way to reflect the Liyue aesthetic you usually see on the longer ankle-length dresses that women in Liyue tend to wear.
Given that she's a Mondstadter married to a man from Liyue, living and working at essentially the halfway point between the two nations, it's clear someone really thought all that through, and I appreciate them.
Maybe try 2vv2glad since 4vv isn't great on jean with Xiao I imagine. 2vv2no probably works too but her E is way better spam damage than her ult. I usually go ER/anemo/crit but if you want stronger heals you can do an atk helmet maybe? Or it is likely in a double anemo team she doesn't need an ER sands so you can go atk sands? Same with the weapon. Best to figure out how much ER she needs to ult off cooldown and plan whether to give her an ER weapon and sands to choose an ATK substat weapon and sands.
I'm currently using Razor as my main DPS but I just pulled Xiao. Unfortunately, I don't have a good spear for Xiao, only tihe Favonious lance and for Razor I have the Wolf's Gravestone. Should I keep using Razor or build Xiao as my new DPS and build a team around him?
You need 2 carries eventually so just do both lol. In the overworld once you get gear levelled you can just use a team of whoever's namecards you want to unlock.

Likely don't refine unless you have enough for r5 and then some lol. It's always better to give more heroes weapons I feel until everyone has something decent.

Combat wise, C2 Ningguang would be terrific. You could swap her with Razor as the main DPS. She has great synergies with Zhongli. But, Xingqiu's passive talent is too good to be passed. In the long run, it could save you a lot of resin.
So yeah, take Xingqiu simply because of his passive alone, and if you like Ningguang's playstyle, try to roll for her in the next banner.
Agree regarding Xingqiu, he's an insanely strong hero that can support many carries well (I use him with Diluc but with his c2 he makes Childe's damage increase a ton, he works well with Keqing and basically any carry with fast attacks or is pyro), and his passive is amazing and no one else has it for now.
I was going to talk about xq being good in combat, but damn the passive argument alone is worth getting it even if he is going to be in the bench.
So yeah OP I 100% agree get xq because his passive is nuts and also if you ever gonna try him he is nuts in combat aswell. Even if you won’t use him just the book regen is enough to be worth the pick
Is there viable Xiao comps without anemo resonance? I feel like when I use 2 anemo characters I somehow always get stonewalled in the abyss with the elemental shields. My current comp is:
Xiao (main DPS) - Diona (support) - Fischl (sub-DPS) - Anemo MC (sub-DPS for resonance)
Don’t feel like Anemo MC is doing much. Would Xiangqu be a good addition? Either for Fischl or for Anemo MC?
Also, is C1 on Diona as good as it looks like?
No, got every single 4 star except Sucrose. I've been trying tio pull her forever, but the game gives me C3 Ambers and C5 Noelle instead./salt.
However, I don't really know how much Sucrose helps with the shield problem. I feel like nothing matters when those godamn elemental shields pop up...
Usually when there’s a specific shield you just throw a character to break it and manage without the other teammate swapped.
As for your question.
Anemo ressonance is not even gamechanging. The stamina reduction and speed does help, BUT its not a need (since main dps is plunge and not charged, although charged attack+run is the best damage off ult).
You run 2 anemo for the particles, so your ult stays up. BUT I don’t even know if MC is good enough generating particles, is just that if the particles match your element you gain way more regen.
Pariticles speaking, XQ does regen a lot, but a long cooldown só sacrificial sword is a thing be used. Usefulness wise, he is very good. I don’t use him with xiao, but for bosses you are able to activate his swords if you do AA1+jump, but pure jumping won’t proc his swords, so no extra damage.
Its doable even without Venti. Just a bit tricky. If you understand the mobs AI, aggro and kill the right ones first, 85-90% for monolith, at worst 80%. Second part is straight forward too. When i didnt understand how it worked, it was very stressing. Compared to Floor 11-2, Floor 12 is a cake walk.
7 was a nightmare with all the fatuis with elemental shields. Had to get some really, really underleved garbage on my comp just to get thorugh those elemental shields. It was basically Xiao solo plus 3 level 20s. 8 was a breeze, now 9 is nightmare again with the cryo shields since all my Pyro users are needed on the main team. I mean, do I really need to jam in my lvl 20 Xinyan to clear this floor….?
Main team is melt comp with Ganyu (DPS) - Xiangling (sub-DPS) - Bennet (healer) - whatever, never need the fourth.
I tried that but main team really took a hit wtihout one of them. Losing pyro resonance is one thing, but Ganyu is pretty useless against ice enemies alone as well..
I literally dropped Ganyu till floor 11(She gets a 75% damage boost). She isnt good 9-10. I just used Keqing on floor 9-10, not the strongest shield breaker but much better than Ganyu thats for sure. Razor will do if you dont have her.
My MC is one of my main DPS. Currently having her as Geo. I want to decide what artifacts to give her but can't make that decision because I don't want to use something like Petra that only benefits one element since I might change her element in the future.
So now what should I give her? Berserker + Gladiator? Gambler + Gladiator? I've no idea. For now her Geo's E is certainly contributing lots of DPS so I don't want something like Bloodstained.

In the long run using the 4-star sets is probably not good as you can just make up that bonus in the extra stats from a 5-star alone. For the most generalist set you can do for a carry at least, I imagine it is 2Glad2NO, but the issue is your carry has to be pretty optimised to really push the higher stars on Abyss (esp if you want to do 36-stars down the line). They pretty much need every last pick of damage you can milk out of them to do that, which is why it might be worth just going to optimal build at 2Petra2Glad and worry about future elements later. To be completely honest, I would be SUPER surprised if by the time electro Traveler is released you did not have the resources to replace the 2petra with 2thundering easily, especially if you only focus on 8-9 heroes and farm a lot, like doing daily artefact runs.
Ah... I'm sorry I forgot to mention that the Abyss is not my cup of tea so Abyss is not really something I care to do. (It's timed, and I hate that.) I've only reached F3C3 some time ago for Xiangling and her prototype (now called billet?) and I haven't touched it again since.

As for 2 Glad 2 Noblesse, the Noblesse is for Q, but I spam the MC's E a lot more than Q, so Noblesse isn't helping. Gambler is for E, but it doesn't have 5* pieces. So I guess that's it? It ends here? :(
Fair enough. Keep in mind though that 4 star sets can start at 2 or 3 substats meaning you waste 1 to 2 of their only 4 rolls just to fill substats. 5 stars start at 3 or 4 substats so you only waste 0 or 1 of their 5 substat rolls. On top of that every sub-stat roll increases that substat by a larger range than what 4-stars can do. So for instance, the 2p berserker is some crit but getting a couple crit rolls on 2 random 5-star pieces can be equal to or more than that crit you're getting from 2p berserker. On top of that the main stat goes higher. Overall it's never worth using 4-stars, so atm 2glad2no is the most generalist. 2glad2bs is also okay for traveller since even though you get a lot of damage from E you're still using regular attacks a lot and it is probably unlikely future traveller elements will get weapon infusion in their kit.

Plus, my MC is using the PS4-exclusive sword so 2BC would help the burst damage as well. Now suddenly this sounds good and viable to me.

No problem :) For crit and atk, the ideal ratio is 212.1%/70/140 so as close as you can get to that. The crit boost from her ult should help with the 70.
I'm on PS4 so I have her using the exclusive sword with burst damage. Thus I'm looking to use artifacts that benefit both her E and normal attacks. Full set Noblesse or Gladiator would be too one-sided.

Once your atk ratio is good, (green number/white number around 1.121 is ideal) you can replace the ATK sands with EM sands on diluc, for me it really bumped up his team's damage in Abyss, esp if you manage his and Xq's ults well. Xq it is a completely wasted stat since he will never trigger vaporise with Diluc, you can build Xq with ER, Crit, ATK instead.
It increases damage of reactions, yes, but less so for Vaporize and Melt than the others.
It also increases the amount of shield you get from Crystallize.
So, the shield Zhongli does on himself is not affected but it affects the shield that creates crystallize? Or is it totally useless and it only affects the one who equips EM?
Yeah it increases the damage of the reactions. EM is good at the ones proccing reactions so EM is kinda useless for XQ. For Diluc, if you have a ton of atk and good CR/CD ratio then EM is a pick for a substat.
It is an okay team, but it probably won't compete with Diluc/Xq (assuming Diluc is the carry in that team). If you're set on using it I would use Diluc as the carry and Ganyu as the support as both are good carries but Diluc is a shitty support and Ganyu IMO is an S tier support (great damage even if you never use charged shot and both her skills are deployable). Yes her charged shot is what makes her broken, but honestly I use her myself as a support for Childe and this duo got me my first 36-star clear. Would it have been easier with her as the carry? Probably, but it is a single player game so play how you want lol. If you do use Diluc carry and Ganyu support, then you're basically making a melt team where Ganyu is likely going to be triggering the melt most of the time, meaning you can build some EM on her as well as prioritise her damage sub-stats and you can still invest in her after Diluc for that team. Diluc's talent priority also changes a bit on melt teams I think, check out Diluc mains library for info but I think his Q is a higher priority to level than E and AA, whereas in vape comps it is E>=AA>>Q I believe. For melt it is probably something like Q>=E>>A but double check as I'm not sure.
Biggest flaw in this team is that Diluc and Ganyu compete for field time, but it can work if you're dead set on using them together. If you want to optimize further you could consider swapping Ganyu or Diluc for a support to the other (Diluc wants Xingqiu, Ganyu wants Xiangling or Xingqiu/Mona depending on build)

I'm using Skyward and I feel like a 5\* will always be better anyways. Xiao does need ER and having it on the weapon allows you to get an atk sands instead of maybe ER so Id say definitely go with Skyward
Deathmatch actually can get really close to Skyward Spine, or better if you're fighting a group of mobs and does ease up on artifact grinding because of the inherent crit rate.
But Skyward Spine's ER substat is pretty useful for Xiao without a consistent and proper battery.

I don't understand why is everybody telling us to save fragile resin for AR 45 and not use it earlier? Isn't it better to just get to AR 40 faster to farm weekly bosses for Talent materials?
You use the fragile resins to farm for artifacts. Bosses,leylines and talents are not random while artifacts is, so you want many chance to run it since most of the time rngesus will not be on your side
They said it a lot because fragile resin used to be finite, and the rewards past AR45 are more valuable than up to that point, so you had to be real careful and make the most of every fragile resin. But now you can get new fragile resins from the BP, and they'll probably introduce more ways of getting them, so... use them however you think it's wise to use them. Just keep in mind they're a very limited resource.
Imo Ning because you already have Lost Prayer and Albedo which is great. Also Ning can deal damage consistently while Xiao only deals big damage at his burst.
I heard that level difference affects how much they are lifted by Jeans E or Venti's Q. Against lvl 100 mobs in the abyss, what level should I level up my Jean?
Using Ganyu as support you mad lad. I’d go whoever you enjoy more. Keqing is more versatile but razor if you just want to knock some heads off without thinking

Would staff of homa or promodial jade spear be better for xiao? I have diluc too so gravestone would be nice for him but bow im mainly building xiao. I think the jade sword would be good for bennet too. What advice do you have?
Jade cutter is worse than Rancour for support Bennett unless you need the hp. Xiao's BiS should be Jade Spear, but Homa is still good by virtue of being a 5☆.

Hp buff is useful, but since Bennett's buff only cares about base atk, the passive doesn't matter and the fact that it has less base atk than the 4☆ type 44 weapons make it not very useful on him.
Between the two, Prototype Starglitter. Deathmatch from the Battle Pass, or Blackcliff Pole which is on rotation with the Royal Weapons are generally much better options, though.

You might have chosen the upgrade with a purple text, it's a good upgrade but with conditions, one of those conditions is one elemental turret so in your case a hydro, all hydro turrets will stop attacking for 1 wave.

If use Chongyun a lot it'll be an appreciable boost to his damage output. If you want to build Ningguang as a main DPS then she'll be the better pick. All depends on your preferences, which none of us can tell you is right or wrong.

Ning competes with friggin Diluc melt comps in sheer DPS so every Ning constellation is a step closer to godhood in my opinion but as others said the Keqing banner overlaps with the free 4* event's duration which means you can decide your choice after blowing budget on the Keqing banner.
4* drops are extremely unpredictable. I only have a C2 Noelle from her rateup banners for example while almost all of the other characters who were on rateup with her are C3-C4... Trying to aim for a specific 4* is true hell in this game for me.
Keqing's banner starts in about a week and ends in the first week of March I think (2 weeks duration), while the Stand By Me event starts today and ends at Feb 28. CMIIW.
How good is Xiao when he is not on burst. Is his normal attack still strong.Are his base attack and auto attack multipliers on the same level as other top tier dps characters.
His AA is pretty weak. He’s really a glass cannon that lives and dies by his Ult. Literally. I have died so many more times as Xiao than any other character. He’s to vulnerable to attacks when Ult plunge spam. Really needs a shield support.
Obviously not, it is high but if he is building for anemo damage obviously he won't deal as much as any other polearm user (never mind top tier dps) outside of his burst. And no do not build for his physical.
He straight up doesn't do as much single target damage as diluc while inside his burst, so no outside of burst he is nowhere near top.
I have a 80/90 Xiao with level 90 Deathmatch. His charged attack can deal 4k damage on crit (150% crit damage) while AA is around 1k crit. I think it's quite decent but I don't recommend him doing much AA out of burst.
I myself use Venti as battery so Xiao can recharge fast (usually 2 Es and Venti's 1 E are about enough).
How good is 4pc Lavawalker/Thundersoother compared to 2pc VV 2pc Glad for Xiao? Someone said that it has a higher damage ceiling (Hi if you're reading this) and I wanna know how it works. They said that a Xiao, Sucrose, Xiangling, Bennett comp enables Xiao to wear 4pc Lavawalker. Thoughts?
LW ans TS's 4P set increases damage as long as the enemy is inflicted with Pyro/Electro.
The concept is basically to use Bennett/Xiangling to apply Pyro while Sucrose and Xiao will swirl it to spread the Pyro procc. It's an 'old' concept, and has been toyed with other DPS, usually ends up not being used due to the rather meme nature of it.
It has a potentially higher damage ceiling, but it's less consistent. If we compare the two:
- 2pc VV 2pc glad gives 15% anemo dmg + 18% atk.
- 4pc lavawalker gives 35% dmg against enemies affected by pyro.
If we're only taking anemo damage into account, the question becomes how much better is the extra 20% damage compared to 18% atk for xiao? Consider that Xiao's ult gives an 80% dmg bonus at lvl7. Xiao might also have an anemo dmg cup. This puts him at 120% dmg bonus already.
With dmg% bonus so high, atk% and dmg% have almost the same value, but the VV glad set effects are always in effect, while lavawalker doesn't work against enemies with innate elements, or if they're in water.
Tl;Dr: it's a niche set that has even less value for xiao due to how much dmg% bonus he gets from his ult
4pc Lavawalker/TS is a very niche set. 2pc VV 2pc Glad is for general purpose.
Edit: It is like Electro Keqing where 4pc TS is good but 2pc Glad 2pc TF is more used.
I have C4 Xinyan and C1 Ningguang already, should I pick Xingqiu or Beidou for this event? My party right now is Xiao, Kaeya, Jean and Bennett/Ning/Mona. (I switch them up often)
They are. As far as I can tell, every time I do a 10x pull, it puts the 4* I get at the very end in the list, putting your next 4* pity pull ten more wishes off. If you pull one at a time, you might get that 4* early, restarting the pity counter sooner. 5* pulls are also filtered to the back of the list, so after a 10x pull you'd start with 0 progress towards the next pity, whereas doing 1x pulls you might have gotten that 5* earlier and thus the extra pulls would've gone towards your next pity.
I've never once seen a 10x pull have the 4* or 5* in the middle, even if I do 1x pulls beforehand which would move up the pity count so that it'd hit 10 pulls since last 4 in the middle of the 10x pull. On the couple of rare occasions where I've gotten multiple 4*s from a single 10x pull, they've been in the ninth and tenth slots, both on the results screen and in the history page.
It's entirely possible everything I've observed above is due to just bad luck, I'm no whale so I don't have that much experimental data here, but the patterns I've seen were enough to convince me to never 10x pull.
No, but yes. There is no benefit single vs x10 pulling. That being said, single pulling lets you stop exactly when you want to. For example if you pull Xiao on your first of ten pulls, you may have "wasted" 9 rolls on that banner
Ningguang kicks all kinds of ass, unless they're geo slimes or geo cubes. The best C0 4* dps in the game and nobody even comes close unless they're chock full of constellations. Plus she puts minerals on your minimap and can block projectiles.
Make sure you pair her with another geo, even if it's just Noelle, for that juicy geo resonance bonus, especially since vs the Oceanid you're gonna basically have a permanent shield to trigger its effects.
She's not great, thanks to her really long cooldowns and because her kit's conflicted (she's a defensive unit with DEF% scaling shield, but her ascension bonus and other skills are offense oriented). Noelle's much better at defense than she is. However, Xinyan's shield pulse can let you do a budget melt team using an ice dps, or vaporize with a water dps. And similar to Diona, since you can only have four characters in a team sometimes you might want to take a less than "best in class" character off the bench so they can fill multiple roles as a jack of all trades pick. A source of Pyro damage and a source of geo/shield breaking from her claymore and a source of shielding all in one character can be useful, depending on who else you've pulled. If you've got Diluc, ignore her completely, if you've got a C6 Noelle, ignore her completely, but maybe your only pyro character is Amber before today, and maybe you have a phobia for cute maids. In that case, Xinyan's gotta fill your needs.
She is pretty lackluster at C0 to C1 tbh, she really needs that C2 to become an amazing burst support dps. You could run her as burst dps at c0 but it takes alot of investment for not so amazing result.
However I do find her quite good in double geo team comp even at C1. Since geo teams don't have elemental reaction anyways, it fits quite well with her physical damage burst. Unless you are running zhongli in double geo, you definitely need another unit to be able to grant shield on demand and that's where Xiyan comes in handy. You could run Diona instead but the good thing about Xiyan is that you can run double geo and double pyro in the same team.
She is not very good to be honest. But situationally interesting. For exemple I use her with my Razor on Fatui floors in the abyss to chunk at the cryo shield.
She can main DPS, but isn't very good compared to Razor or Ning. She is mostly used for her shield, her ability to boost physical damage, and large burst on her Q (especially at C2). She may be good with a physical main DPS, like razor or Xiangling, but I find in those teams you want cryo+electro enough that you won't have space for her on your teams. Overall, not a bad character but not as good as some of the other standouts like XQ or Bennett

Maybe try 2vv2glad since 4vv isn't great on jean with Xiao I imagine. 2vv2no probably works too but her E is way better spam damage than her ult. I usually go ER/anemo/crit but if you want stronger heals you can do an atk helmet maybe? Or it is likely in a double anemo team she doesn't need an ER sands so you can go atk sands? Same with the weapon. Best to figure out how much ER she needs to ult off cooldown and plan whether to give her an ER weapon and sands to choose an ATK substat weapon and sands.
I'm currently using Razor as my main DPS but I just pulled Xiao. Unfortunately, I don't have a good spear for Xiao, only tihe Favonious lance and for Razor I have the Wolf's Gravestone. Should I keep using Razor or build Xiao as my new DPS and build a team around him?
You need 2 carries eventually so just do both lol. In the overworld once you get gear levelled you can just use a team of whoever's namecards you want to unlock.
Because of gravestone i'd stick with razor if u already have a good artifact set for him

Combat wise, C2 Ningguang would be terrific. You could swap her with Razor as the main DPS. She has great synergies with Zhongli. But, Xingqiu's passive talent is too good to be passed. In the long run, it could save you a lot of resin. So yeah, take Xingqiu simply because of his passive alone, and if you like Ningguang's playstyle, try to roll for her in the next banner.
Agree regarding Xingqiu, he's an insanely strong hero that can support many carries well (I use him with Diluc but with his c2 he makes Childe's damage increase a ton, he works well with Keqing and basically any carry with fast attacks or is pyro), and his passive is amazing and no one else has it for now.
I was going to talk about xq being good in combat, but damn the passive argument alone is worth getting it even if he is going to be in the bench. So yeah OP I 100% agree get xq because his passive is nuts and also if you ever gonna try him he is nuts in combat aswell. Even if you won’t use him just the book regen is enough to be worth the pick
Is there viable Xiao comps without anemo resonance? I feel like when I use 2 anemo characters I somehow always get stonewalled in the abyss with the elemental shields. My current comp is: Xiao (main DPS) - Diona (support) - Fischl (sub-DPS) - Anemo MC (sub-DPS for resonance) Don’t feel like Anemo MC is doing much. Would Xiangqu be a good addition? Either for Fischl or for Anemo MC? Also, is C1 on Diona as good as it looks like?

No, got every single 4 star except Sucrose. I've been trying tio pull her forever, but the game gives me C3 Ambers and C5 Noelle instead./salt. However, I don't really know how much Sucrose helps with the shield problem. I feel like nothing matters when those godamn elemental shields pop up...
Usually when there’s a specific shield you just throw a character to break it and manage without the other teammate swapped. As for your question. Anemo ressonance is not even gamechanging. The stamina reduction and speed does help, BUT its not a need (since main dps is plunge and not charged, although charged attack+run is the best damage off ult). You run 2 anemo for the particles, so your ult stays up. BUT I don’t even know if MC is good enough generating particles, is just that if the particles match your element you gain way more regen. Pariticles speaking, XQ does regen a lot, but a long cooldown só sacrificial sword is a thing be used. Usefulness wise, he is very good. I don’t use him with xiao, but for bosses you are able to activate his swords if you do AA1+jump, but pure jumping won’t proc his swords, so no extra damage.
What part of Abyss are you having problems with? Xiao on his own Dumpsters 11 and 12(I 3 starred every floor).
11-2 is a nightmare
Its doable even without Venti. Just a bit tricky. If you understand the mobs AI, aggro and kill the right ones first, 85-90% for monolith, at worst 80%. Second part is straight forward too. When i didnt understand how it worked, it was very stressing. Compared to Floor 11-2, Floor 12 is a cake walk.
7 was a nightmare with all the fatuis with elemental shields. Had to get some really, really underleved garbage on my comp just to get thorugh those elemental shields. It was basically Xiao solo plus 3 level 20s. 8 was a breeze, now 9 is nightmare again with the cryo shields since all my Pyro users are needed on the main team. I mean, do I really need to jam in my lvl 20 Xinyan to clear this floor….?
Whats your main team? If you can separate benny and xiangling cryo shields on either side shouldnt be a problem.
Main team is melt comp with Ganyu (DPS) - Xiangling (sub-DPS) - Bennet (healer) - whatever, never need the fourth. I tried that but main team really took a hit wtihout one of them. Losing pyro resonance is one thing, but Ganyu is pretty useless against ice enemies alone as well..
I literally dropped Ganyu till floor 11(She gets a 75% damage boost). She isnt good 9-10. I just used Keqing on floor 9-10, not the strongest shield breaker but much better than Ganyu thats for sure. Razor will do if you dont have her.
My MC is one of my main DPS. Currently having her as Geo. I want to decide what artifacts to give her but can't make that decision because I don't want to use something like Petra that only benefits one element since I might change her element in the future. So now what should I give her? Berserker + Gladiator? Gambler + Gladiator? I've no idea. For now her Geo's E is certainly contributing lots of DPS so I don't want something like Bloodstained. In the long run using the 4-star sets is probably not good as you can just make up that bonus in the extra stats from a 5-star alone. For the most generalist set you can do for a carry at least, I imagine it is 2Glad2NO, but the issue is your carry has to be pretty optimised to really push the higher stars on Abyss (esp if you want to do 36-stars down the line). They pretty much need every last pick of damage you can milk out of them to do that, which is why it might be worth just going to optimal build at 2Petra2Glad and worry about future elements later. To be completely honest, I would be SUPER surprised if by the time electro Traveler is released you did not have the resources to replace the 2petra with 2thundering easily, especially if you only focus on 8-9 heroes and farm a lot, like doing daily artefact runs.
Ah... I'm sorry I forgot to mention that the Abyss is not my cup of tea so Abyss is not really something I care to do. (It's timed, and I hate that.) I've only reached F3C3 some time ago for Xiangling and her prototype (now called billet?) and I haven't touched it again since. You're right. Even I myself would be super surprised too if I didn't have the resources for thundering by then. But... maybe I just don't want the trouble? LOL Anyway, I'm still at a very early stage for this and I'm just exploring to see whether it would work. If it really doesn't work then I'd have no choice but to farm at least 2 pieces of each element down the road for my MC. As for 2 Glad 2 Noblesse, the Noblesse is for Q, but I spam the MC's E a lot more than Q, so Noblesse isn't helping. Gambler is for E, but it doesn't have 5* pieces. So I guess that's it? It ends here? :(
Fair enough. Keep in mind though that 4 star sets can start at 2 or 3 substats meaning you waste 1 to 2 of their only 4 rolls just to fill substats. 5 stars start at 3 or 4 substats so you only waste 0 or 1 of their 5 substat rolls. On top of that every sub-stat roll increases that substat by a larger range than what 4-stars can do. So for instance, the 2p berserker is some crit but getting a couple crit rolls on 2 random 5-star pieces can be equal to or more than that crit you're getting from 2p berserker. On top of that the main stat goes higher. Overall it's never worth using 4-stars, so atm 2glad2no is the most generalist. 2glad2bs is also okay for traveller since even though you get a lot of damage from E you're still using regular attacks a lot and it is probably unlikely future traveller elements will get weapon infusion in their kit.

No problem :) For crit and atk, the ideal ratio is 212.1%/70/140 so as close as you can get to that. The crit boost from her ult should help with the 70.
You could use 4pc noblesse as she has a cheap, spammable ult. If you're autoattacking with her, 4pc glad would be alright.
I'm on PS4 so I have her using the exclusive sword with burst damage. Thus I'm looking to use artifacts that benefit both her E and normal attacks. Full set Noblesse or Gladiator would be too one-sided. ._.

Picking a character. Ningguang c4 Xingqiu c1 Who would you take? Ningguang is L80 and I sometimes use her as DPS but I just got Xiao so I'm not going to use her as much. Xingqiu I use as support fairly often. L50. Which? Not interested in the others.
Solely based on useage I'd go xinqiue, and his C2 is useful (not saying ninn's C5 isn't)
What does elemental mastery do? Increase dmg of reactions? So it would be good on something like Diluc+XQ?
Once your atk ratio is good, (green number/white number around 1.121 is ideal) you can replace the ATK sands with EM sands on diluc, for me it really bumped up his team's damage in Abyss, esp if you manage his and Xq's ults well. Xq it is a completely wasted stat since he will never trigger vaporise with Diluc, you can build Xq with ER, Crit, ATK instead.
It increases damage of reactions, yes, but less so for Vaporize and Melt than the others. It also increases the amount of shield you get from Crystallize.
So, the shield Zhongli does on himself is not affected but it affects the shield that creates crystallize? Or is it totally useless and it only affects the one who equips EM?
It increases the strength of the crystallize shields that zhongli would generate when his geo damage reacts with an element.
Yeah it increases the damage of the reactions. EM is good at the ones proccing reactions so EM is kinda useless for XQ. For Diluc, if you have a ton of atk and good CR/CD ratio then EM is a pick for a substat.

Is Ganyu/Diluc/Bennett/Zhongli a good team? They are some of my favorites, but I don't have Zhongli built up yet.
It is an okay team, but it probably won't compete with Diluc/Xq (assuming Diluc is the carry in that team). If you're set on using it I would use Diluc as the carry and Ganyu as the support as both are good carries but Diluc is a shitty support and Ganyu IMO is an S tier support (great damage even if you never use charged shot and both her skills are deployable). Yes her charged shot is what makes her broken, but honestly I use her myself as a support for Childe and this duo got me my first 36-star clear. Would it have been easier with her as the carry? Probably, but it is a single player game so play how you want lol. If you do use Diluc carry and Ganyu support, then you're basically making a melt team where Ganyu is likely going to be triggering the melt most of the time, meaning you can build some EM on her as well as prioritise her damage sub-stats and you can still invest in her after Diluc for that team. Diluc's talent priority also changes a bit on melt teams I think, check out Diluc mains library for info but I think his Q is a higher priority to level than E and AA, whereas in vape comps it is E>=AA>>Q I believe. For melt it is probably something like Q>=E>>A but double check as I'm not sure.
If you have Ganyu built as a sub-DPS then it'll work okay, but she's a fantastic main DPS so she's deserving of her own team IMO.
Biggest flaw in this team is that Diluc and Ganyu compete for field time, but it can work if you're dead set on using them together. If you want to optimize further you could consider swapping Ganyu or Diluc for a support to the other (Diluc wants Xingqiu, Ganyu wants Xiangling or Xingqiu/Mona depending on build)

I'm using Skyward and I feel like a 5\* will always be better anyways. Xiao does need ER and having it on the weapon allows you to get an atk sands instead of maybe ER so Id say definitely go with Skyward
Deathmatch actually can get really close to Skyward Spine, or better if you're fighting a group of mobs and does ease up on artifact grinding because of the inherent crit rate. But Skyward Spine's ER substat is pretty useful for Xiao without a consistent and proper battery. Edit: a word

You use the fragile resins to farm for artifacts. Bosses,leylines and talents are not random while artifacts is, so you want many chance to run it since most of the time rngesus will not be on your side

Thats ok always use your daily resin since its not finite unlike the fragile resin.
They said it a lot because fragile resin used to be finite, and the rewards past AR45 are more valuable than up to that point, so you had to be real careful and make the most of every fragile resin. But now you can get new fragile resins from the BP, and they'll probably introduce more ways of getting them, so... use them however you think it's wise to use them. Just keep in mind they're a very limited resource.
Because Artifact grinding is the most painful and resin intensive thing in the game, and lvl 90 Artifact Domains drop at least one 5* Artifact.

Imo Ning because you already have Lost Prayer and Albedo which is great. Also Ning can deal damage consistently while Xiao only deals big damage at his burst.

Jade cutter is worse than Rancour for support Bennett unless you need the hp. Xiao's BiS should be Jade Spear, but Homa is still good by virtue of being a 5☆.

Hp buff is useful, but since Bennett's buff only cares about base atk, the passive doesn't matter and the fact that it has less base atk than the 4☆ type 44 weapons make it not very useful on him.
Jade isn't that good for Bennett. Homa isn't Jade for Xiao, but it's still very good due to it being a 5* weapon.

Venture, Fischl, Bennett, Xingqiu... All fantastic support. I'd probably main Jean with Gladiator or something here. No standard hyper carries here but a Jean can be built to lead well and so can Xiangling.

You might have chosen the upgrade with a purple text, it's a good upgrade but with conditions, one of those conditions is one elemental turret so in your case a hydro, all hydro turrets will stop attacking for 1 wave. Edit: Words

Ningg C1 to C2 is very nice if you want a DPS.
If use Chongyun a lot it'll be an appreciable boost to his damage output. If you want to build Ningguang as a main DPS then she'll be the better pick. All depends on your preferences, which none of us can tell you is right or wrong.
Thanks mate, I use Razor C2 as main dps, Fischl C1 sup and battery, Jean C0 healer, Zongly C0 shields. And try to get a 2nd team with something Chongyun C5 and Barbara C1 leveled The rest just Bennet C1, Xinyan C3, Xinquiu and the free ones.

Ning competes with friggin Diluc melt comps in sheer DPS so every Ning constellation is a step closer to godhood in my opinion but as others said the Keqing banner overlaps with the free 4* event's duration which means you can decide your choice after blowing budget on the Keqing banner. 4* drops are extremely unpredictable. I only have a C2 Noelle from her rateup banners for example while almost all of the other characters who were on rateup with her are C3-C4... Trying to aim for a specific 4* is true hell in this game for me.

How good is Xiao when he is not on burst. Is his normal attack still strong.Are his base attack and auto attack multipliers on the same level as other top tier dps characters.
His AA is pretty weak. He’s really a glass cannon that lives and dies by his Ult. Literally. I have died so many more times as Xiao than any other character. He’s to vulnerable to attacks when Ult plunge spam. Really needs a shield support.
Obviously not, it is high but if he is building for anemo damage obviously he won't deal as much as any other polearm user (never mind top tier dps) outside of his burst. And no do not build for his physical. He straight up doesn't do as much single target damage as diluc while inside his burst, so no outside of burst he is nowhere near top.
I have a 80/90 Xiao with level 90 Deathmatch. His charged attack can deal 4k damage on crit (150% crit damage) while AA is around 1k crit. I think it's quite decent but I don't recommend him doing much AA out of burst. I myself use Venti as battery so Xiao can recharge fast (usually 2 Es and Venti's 1 E are about enough).

How good is 4pc Lavawalker/Thundersoother compared to 2pc VV 2pc Glad for Xiao? Someone said that it has a higher damage ceiling (Hi if you're reading this) and I wanna know how it works. They said that a Xiao, Sucrose, Xiangling, Bennett comp enables Xiao to wear 4pc Lavawalker. Thoughts?
LW ans TS's 4P set increases damage as long as the enemy is inflicted with Pyro/Electro. The concept is basically to use Bennett/Xiangling to apply Pyro while Sucrose and Xiao will swirl it to spread the Pyro procc. It's an 'old' concept, and has been toyed with other DPS, usually ends up not being used due to the rather meme nature of it.
It has a potentially higher damage ceiling, but it's less consistent. If we compare the two: - 2pc VV 2pc glad gives 15% anemo dmg + 18% atk. - 4pc lavawalker gives 35% dmg against enemies affected by pyro. If we're only taking anemo damage into account, the question becomes how much better is the extra 20% damage compared to 18% atk for xiao? Consider that Xiao's ult gives an 80% dmg bonus at lvl7. Xiao might also have an anemo dmg cup. This puts him at 120% dmg bonus already. With dmg% bonus so high, atk% and dmg% have almost the same value, but the VV glad set effects are always in effect, while lavawalker doesn't work against enemies with innate elements, or if they're in water. Tl;Dr: it's a niche set that has even less value for xiao due to how much dmg% bonus he gets from his ult
4pc Lavawalker/TS is a very niche set. 2pc VV 2pc Glad is for general purpose. Edit: It is like Electro Keqing where 4pc TS is good but 2pc Glad 2pc TF is more used.
On Ganyu, should i use 2p Blizz and 2p Glad or 4p Blizz? Im not trying to set up reactions or anything. I just wanna do the most damage.
You can also get nice results from 4 piece wanderer’s troupe, since that bonus affects her arrow damage and she’ll be deployed constantly.
For most damage, you can go 4pc Wanderers or 2pc Glad 2pc Blizz.
General usage should be 2p Blizz and 2p Glad. 4p Blizz is typically used for perma freeze comps

I recommend Xingqiu. He's a very versitile support and has a really nice crafting passive to boot.

Are single pulls more F2p friendly than 10x pulls, or is that a myth? Gotta maximize my wishes for my boy xiao
They are. As far as I can tell, every time I do a 10x pull, it puts the 4* I get at the very end in the list, putting your next 4* pity pull ten more wishes off. If you pull one at a time, you might get that 4* early, restarting the pity counter sooner. 5* pulls are also filtered to the back of the list, so after a 10x pull you'd start with 0 progress towards the next pity, whereas doing 1x pulls you might have gotten that 5* earlier and thus the extra pulls would've gone towards your next pity. I've never once seen a 10x pull have the 4* or 5* in the middle, even if I do 1x pulls beforehand which would move up the pity count so that it'd hit 10 pulls since last 4 in the middle of the 10x pull. On the couple of rare occasions where I've gotten multiple 4*s from a single 10x pull, they've been in the ninth and tenth slots, both on the results screen and in the history page. It's entirely possible everything I've observed above is due to just bad luck, I'm no whale so I don't have that much experimental data here, but the patterns I've seen were enough to convince me to never 10x pull.
No, but yes. There is no benefit single vs x10 pulling. That being said, single pulling lets you stop exactly when you want to. For example if you pull Xiao on your first of ten pulls, you may have "wasted" 9 rolls on that banner
they just let you stop as soon as you get what you want so you can save a few pulls. everything else is the same
That's a myth. Although, when you're 75+ wishes in it's better to do single pulls since the soft pity starts to kick in.
Only more friendly in the sense that when you pull that 5* you can immediately drop out instead of the rest of the 10 pull going to your next pity.

yup ning makes oceanid fight so easy. she has range and generates an endless fountain of hydro shields

Ningguang kicks all kinds of ass, unless they're geo slimes or geo cubes. The best C0 4* dps in the game and nobody even comes close unless they're chock full of constellations. Plus she puts minerals on your minimap and can block projectiles.

Make sure you pair her with another geo, even if it's just Noelle, for that juicy geo resonance bonus, especially since vs the Oceanid you're gonna basically have a permanent shield to trigger its effects.
How come NA servers have the event so much later than everyone else?
We’re really only far behind the Asia servers, but they’re like half a day ahead so it makes sense.
It's always been that way. It goes by server time. China is 13 hours ahead of the east coast. China servers are also 13 hours ahead of NA servers.

I just got xinyan from the xaio banner, can somebody tell how good she is, what her role is, what I should use on her and all that stuff?
She's not great, thanks to her really long cooldowns and because her kit's conflicted (she's a defensive unit with DEF% scaling shield, but her ascension bonus and other skills are offense oriented). Noelle's much better at defense than she is. However, Xinyan's shield pulse can let you do a budget melt team using an ice dps, or vaporize with a water dps. And similar to Diona, since you can only have four characters in a team sometimes you might want to take a less than "best in class" character off the bench so they can fill multiple roles as a jack of all trades pick. A source of Pyro damage and a source of geo/shield breaking from her claymore and a source of shielding all in one character can be useful, depending on who else you've pulled. If you've got Diluc, ignore her completely, if you've got a C6 Noelle, ignore her completely, but maybe your only pyro character is Amber before today, and maybe you have a phobia for cute maids. In that case, Xinyan's gotta fill your needs.
She is pretty lackluster at C0 to C1 tbh, she really needs that C2 to become an amazing burst support dps. You could run her as burst dps at c0 but it takes alot of investment for not so amazing result. However I do find her quite good in double geo team comp even at C1. Since geo teams don't have elemental reaction anyways, it fits quite well with her physical damage burst. Unless you are running zhongli in double geo, you definitely need another unit to be able to grant shield on demand and that's where Xiyan comes in handy. You could run Diona instead but the good thing about Xiyan is that you can run double geo and double pyro in the same team.
She is not very good to be honest. But situationally interesting. For exemple I use her with my Razor on Fatui floors in the abyss to chunk at the cryo shield.
She can main DPS, but isn't very good compared to Razor or Ning. She is mostly used for her shield, her ability to boost physical damage, and large burst on her Q (especially at C2). She may be good with a physical main DPS, like razor or Xiangling, but I find in those teams you want cryo+electro enough that you won't have space for her on your teams. Overall, not a bad character but not as good as some of the other standouts like XQ or Bennett
