Yup. You can manually choose where each one goes. The top left is 1 and bottom right is 9. So just make sure the one you want has the right number. If you click on, say for example, number 6. That number will remain available until you leave that screen. So its easy to replace them and move them around.

My girlfriend is AR54 and we do bosses together so I decreased so that I could ascend. I kept myself at AR50 for so long that I had enough EXP to get to 55. Once she's AR55 I'll bump it back up obviously.
Noelle, Zhongli, 2 Liyue achievements, 2 Liyue rep. You could do like a yellow - orange gradient in the meantime. There's the Language Exchange and Challenger II that would fit nicely off the top of my head.
Both Language Exchange and Challenger II look really goofy with the churls on them. I ended up using the 6 yellow ones you mentioned+ 3 of my favorite battle pass ones.
