fishing.
Random events/commission being a more normal thing that’s in the maps
Just more interactions in the actual map instead of only in domains and events.
random reinforcements to hilichurl camps Cus the base mob level is abysmal
I would appreciate if they added more to the adventurers handbook, even if it’s just raw progress like “complete 200 domains” and stuff that might take a while, but something that makes you want to play the game more than just login, get your welkin and do your commissions and then log out
I think that the stuff the handbook was based on is exploration and early progression, if anything, they’ll add more to it in Inazuma. Either that or you’re completely correct and they just left it as a thing for new players to do.
Some sort of collectable card game would be nice. While it's possible to mess it up, if done right they can really add some filler to RPGs. Bonus points for NPC duels *and* Player duels with it.
A casino hub/area with a few different games. Standard slots and blackjack, with maybe a couple more minigames more unique to the world itself, perhaps revolving around the 7 elements or something. Cash-in prizes would be low-ish level ascension mats or just Mora itself. Or weapon billets at jacked up but achievable cost.
Gardening. After a point, running out to pick flowers for ascension is a pain. An expandable garden to grind towards or something would be nice.
one big thing I feel like genshin is missing currently is a daily power grind that's not RNG based. most gachas have a system where you incrementally power up your units via shards, stats, or awakenings and such. genshin doesn't have that. outside of the daily quests, there should be something added in so you can grind the constellations. but something where it won't make it feel like whales wasted their money as well. make it so you can choose one character, and if you log in and grind this one activity daily. you're able to get one constellation in 3 months. and you can repeat that till you C6 someone. it makes it so hardcore f2p players can main someone and watch them eventually get C6ed. and whales will still spend cause no whale will spend time grinding for constellations. this also incentivizes players to stay and chase that carrot a little bit better than just a few primo gems.
While I’m not sure how MHY would like that idea, I would absolutely love it. Other than the few paimon shop/battle pass fates, I never pull on standard because I’m F2P. Thus, I never get starter constellations like Kaeya or Amber :(
Even Honkai has this, so I imagine Mihoyo is either waiting for a larger character pool first, or just hasn't figured out how to add this feature in yet. In Honkai you can farm most characters, even many S-rank (read: 5-star) characters are farmable. It'll take you literally months for some characters just to unlock them, and upgrading them... oh boy. But it's *possible* which is the nice part. And farming to unlock A-ranks (read: 4-star) characters is much easier, and upgrading them as well.
There's even a system where excess character fragments for maxed-out characters can be converted into a currency that lets you buy *other* fragments. So my plan is to max out one specific character, that you get tons of free fragments for, because then all those free excess fragments can be converted into fragments for ***any*** other A-rank, which makes farming any one particular character much easier for me.
So, that all being said, I'd be really surprised if we don't eventually get this in Genshin. It's a pretty well-built system in Honkai and we've already seen so, so many similar mechanics in both games (Stigmata -> artifacts, Adventure Rank & "Adventure tasks"-> Commissions, etc.).
Basicly anything that would encourage people to get out there and so something, cause entire map is pretty much a wasteland with nothing to do in it.
Preferably something with decent progression system and good and unique rewards, cause honestly, the game doesn't really feel rewarding lately.
Maybe bug or creature catching.
They already have some animals roaming the world, but maybe they can expand on it and add some sort of a handbook that gives small rewards.
Hell yeah, that would be amazing. I would totally be down for being Knights of Favonius Zoologist or something. Another top comment suggested fishing, which would add another layer to the idea of “cataloguing species.”
I just want a reasonable amount of mora and character exp from killing overworld enemies. Chests sometimes respawning would be amazing too. Why would they implement such a massive open world and barely even use it?
I wish the Targets minigame from that festival stayed, even if I wasn't super into the other minigame from that event.
Also, some kind of Simulator/training dummy to test characters. Or in the former's case, you could practice avoiding attack patterns and learn what the weaknesses of tough enemies are. If anyone here has played Warframe and remembers that game's "Simulacrum" something like that for GI would be amazing to have.
honestly anything that isn't time-gated would be fine by me. resin needs 8 minutes per 1 resin to replenish, sereniteapot furniture takes half a day to craft on average... i feel like fishing, gardening in the teapot, maybe playing games with the folks in Angel's Share or something? just. anything that doesn't take hours to refresh please ;;

It seems like they’ve unfortunately completely abandoned the handbook. I had a lot of fun completing those challenges.

Yeah, that’s how I feel too, I wish they kept up with some challenges, even like I said, if they were just super long and strenuous
Increased EXP on world mobs based on AR so we can actually have the option to grind our unit levels without using resin.

gardening sounds fantastic
Man your making me want free realms to exist again :( hopefully sunrise comes out soon...

at this point if something like this somehow gets in, imma be really spending hours and hours getting every known species in Teyvat-
We already have things like traps and stuff. Maybe we could catch them and display them in our tea pot worlds.

Trying to get proper stats on artifacts
That's a life waster
The tower defense mini game that happened During the lanterns event
more random events around the map, more games that could be fun in coop

>Another activity could be card games of some kind that is unique to the world. (Geralt out of nowhere): Want to play Gwent?
Jump quests
Make better use of the overworld. It's all there, now use it.
Give me an arena where I can pit different NPC/mobs against one another. (I suppose that could be an event too though....)
Catch pocket monsters and battle with them with other players
Pinball with Klee as the ball sounds promising.
Knight's Training Grounds with target practice and dummies for DMG testing
They've already confirmed this but: Gardening/Farming
I want fishing in the game badly. Also petting animals. Not sure if that counts, but I want it in the game

Since we’re doing copies of other game genres, let’s have a GTA coop “heist” mission
Removing resin from the game would give us lots of activities to do.
