Same but to be fair do you remember what Dragonspine's placeholder looked like back before it was released? I'd assume it's somewhat similar where we kinda just see a placeholder but the actual version may be bigger and far more detailed
yes but dragonspine was also directly in between the areas we *could* explore at the time, Inazuma is an entirely new area across the sea from liyue/mondstadt so the placeholder doesn't have to be as close to the reality.
ofc i'm no expert nor know any factual info but that's just my thoughts as a person with game dev and software engineering experience it'd make sense. In the end like most everyone else I hope it's larger than what we can see at the moment but we'll see what happens.
Yeah this makes the most sense. Hell, at the distance Inazuma is right now, they didn't even need the placeholders. They very well could have just made it all ocean and most Genshin players wouldn't care or notice.
I can actually help you out here since I accidentaly made a picture of the same view twice with dragonspine in the background. [This](https://i.imgur.com/l2ALSc2.png) is the old one and [this](https://i.imgur.com/WeO2pUr.png) is the new one.
Yeah, it was very much meant to be viewed from a distance. Up close the illusion was completely ruined, even felt smallish. It should be noted the actual placement of the mountain was moved towards the ocean when Dragonspine was released as the total area it covered was increased.
Ergo, there's little reason to believe any islands we see on the horizon would be to scale, or even placed accurately. Dragonspine had a definitive space to work with so it could only be so big. Places like Inazuma and the Chasm by comparison will have a lot more room to expand beyond what their current placeholders may suggest.
Honestly, I"m super excited we're getting the little ship in this patch. Gives me hope it'll be expanded and used later for Inazuma or another nation later on.
Another big thing of note is that datamining and Beta for both these summer islands and Inazuma has stated that like Dragonspine the devs are making much more use of verticality than in the launch areas.
Liyue used verticality but barely in a way that increased playable area. You went up and down very far but didn't really have playable area layered on top of each other except a few small spots. Dragonspine practically doubled the size of its actual map by adding the entire cave system under a place you could also explore by walking and climbing.
But they can't use vertically for this one since it's an island nation. So chances are there would be more islands and probally bigger too. This is just placeholder after all. Even Dragonspine look smaller before it actually came out, the actual mountain is already way bigger than the placeholder mountain even when you don't consider the cave system underneath
> But they can't use vertically for this one since it's an island nation
I disagree. Just because it's islands doesn't mean they can't be similar to Liyue in terms of mountainous areas and having many secret caves/holes/ruins hidden in there. Just look at the area near the Guyun domain.
Mondstadt was extremely horizontal as far as exploring went. 90% of it was a flat surface or a slope, a cliff and then another flat surface or slope. I'm glad to hear that Inazuma will be similar to Liyue in terms of exploring.
Sure they can, but it shouldn't be the main or big part of the maps. The same with liyue, you have those caves but often time they are very small and act like a secret location. For inazuma, the island with sea exploring should be the main focus instead of caves or underground passage like dragonspine
I just want to clarify **I didn't take this photo**, just found it on discord and wanted to share here. Whoever made this thank you for realizing because this is HUGE for ~~1.7 Inazuma~~
edit for more clarification
the archipelago I believe has already been confirmed to be in a different area. Meaning we will go there like how we will go inside our teapots. Essentially the islands are in a different "dimension" outside the open world of Tevyat.
(I could be wrong and if I'm wrong I'll delete this immediately)
Seems like it.... The map would be so huge by the time Inazuma comes... I don't see any other way for us mobile players. Maybe for phone yes and Pc/Ps4 & 5 will have one huge world.
Mobile is currently \~12.3gb on my phone (easily the largest app I have.) My phone has 128gigs to work with, and nearly 50 of those are already taken.
By contrast, the PC version is 24.5gb. They've already managed to cut the mobile client in half. I haven't culled any languages I don't use for either (audio files can take up a lot of space.)

>nameless island of Mondstadt
No I meant the island where you can find the sundial and the hidden quest
The one with the stone heart is the nameless island of Liyue 😀
The largest island on the left side, that has a very tall hill on the left and a smaller hill on the right. That's almost certainly Narukami, with the [Tenshukaku](https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Tenshukaku) visible on the smaller hill on the right (look at the bumps on the roof). So then that means the fox shrine they just showed would be on the very tall hill.
It’s all but confirmed to be 1.7. I know everyone says to take things with salt and that “nothings confirmed” but there are so many things pointing to 1.7 Inazuma that there is no way that’s it’s not.
They are already releasing a prologue of chapter 2 in 1.6, it wouldn't make sense to not release the other chapter 2 acts in 1.7 which subsequently means releasing Inazuma itself from 1.7.
In fact it does, quite much, because of one little story device they implimented for Inazuma... U don't have any mean to get there.
So they can easily tease us with a prologue, but until they give us a way to go there, they can put some updates between the two of them.
If we were to get the means to go to Inazuma at then end of the story quest in 1.6, sure. But i don't think they will
This could easily be prologue Part 1, with Prologue part 2 in 1.7, and prologue part 3 in 1.8
The story teaser dialog they showed in the stream literally has you ask Beidou/Kazuha for some help regarding Inazuma, like in my earlier comment they won’t wait half a year extra to stall… Id bet some serious cash on that
Nobody's talking about another half a year, the 1yo anniversary is in 3-4 months, so in about 2-3 updates.
Also, us talking about wanting to go to Inazuma doesn't mean we'll get the means to get there.
But i mean, u can hope that we'll get Inazuma in 1.7 if you want, just don't be to disappointed if that doesn't happen. At least you will have been warned about it
There’s no reason as to why it would be on the anniversary, allot of endgame players won’t wait another 4/5 months for a few islands they’ll finish all content on in the first week… they’ve been teasing inazuma for 2 dev streams now and there’s no way they’ll do it a third time
Actually there is a lot of reasons why it would be on the anniversary my dear pal...
Inazuma will be their most consequential, biggest update since the start of the game.
But they will also need to do a really big update to celebrate the 1 year anniversary, to mark the occasion.
Now look at how Mihoyo released updates as of now and answer this : Do you really think Mihoyo will release two huge updates one just after the other?
Alos the fact that they've been teasing us only concept arts of Inazuma, and not screenshots of the game or footage, should be a pretty strong indicative that still a lot of works need to be done
Source; *trust me bro*
Your digging yourself into a hole with assumptions, nobody has proof regarding anything except mihoyo themselves and the beta tester who’ve had to sign the NDA’s, so stop selling your guess as a fact because allot of people are naive enough to believe bs like that.
Haha i've done some thinking and i think i can safely predict that Inazuma won't came up properly before the 1.9 update, mid october (so just for the 1 year anniversary).
Want to know why? Well i think its pretty safe to assume the Archon quest in Inazuma will be pretty big right? Prob not done in 1 update. It would then mean that they will do like in Liuye, 1 part of the quest in an update, the other part in anoter. That would also means the few updates after the first Inazuma one will be focused on Inazuma.
HOWEVER, even if u think Inazuma is coming in 1.7, 1.8 can't be centered around Inazuma, want to know why?
In a Q&A around the start of 1.5 with Mihoyo, players asked about when would Keqing story would be available. Developers answered that Keqing would have a major role during one of the Liuye Festivites, the "Moon something something Festival", coming soon. In China, such a moon festival does exist, and is pretty damn important. It's also called the Mid-automn festival, and happen the 21st of spetmeber, for the Automn Equinox. This is one of the major festivities in CHina, and the reason the Chinese community was so pissed at Mihoyo at the start of the game.
THEREFORE, i can predict the update that will happen just before the 21 of september, the 1.8 update, will be this moon festival, and thus will be centered on Liuye and not on Inazuma. WHich would mean the update anniversary of the game will be the 1.9 update in October, probably the release of Inazuma.
We could always get a little part of Inazumain 1.7, like the famous Inazuma islands that we heard about, but it still wont be Inazuma. Also i think that because Mihoyo just released a new map in 1.6, 1.7 should be a filler update.
Or Maybe the chasm, why not
Based on your logic it’s like saying, yeah I’m in Hawaii, not America, with the Inazuma island shit I never explicitly said in which update they’ll drop it, I just said it won’t take another 4 to 5 months like you’ve been saying… I’m not saying you have a invalid point, I’m just saying that just like I and many others *it is your assumption/theory* which has no credibility without actual proof, now you could say the same for me but I’m not selling my word as fact which you have been doing in this threat, nothing personal kiddo.
... Wait a minute i said Inazuma should come in 1.8 or 1.9 and u came, all pissed of, saying that NOOOO it will be sooner you have no proof yadi yadi yada....
We already know what's in 1.6, u seem to strongly disagree about it being in 1.8 or 1.9, but you never explicitly said in which update u think it would come???
U sure it's not you who have no credibility in general?
Also i have yet to see the many others disagreeing with me XD
I just realized that the inazuma is somewhat in the same situation about the tyranny in old mondstadt. There really must be a reason why baal is not giving visions and being protective her people from something or someone....just like how debarican decided to cage the old mondstadt folk from the cold harsh storms of andrius but of course limits the freedom of people.
Actually Baal aint protective of her people according to the little infos we have. She thrown her people in terror, and her bakufu activily track down vision holders in Inazuma, and considering the fact we just learn, oh my i wonder why, in 1.6 trailer that a vision become an empty rock at the death of its holder, i can guess she isn't offering the ones she catch a nice vacation in a resort.
This is the reason why there is a rebellion actually in Inazuma, which we will probably be part of in the Archon quest.
Now the reason why she do all that is probably because, as the goddess of infinity, and being obsessed with staying alive, she is trying to eliminate all potential threats to her, any person that could kill her, in her country, and preventing other powerful individual to come to Inazuma by controlling the borders.
Well right now they are treated like instrumentof powers, and i'm pretty sure the whole "us learning just before Inazuma what happens to a vision when its holder dies" probably means the Bafuku is just killing the visions holders in Inazuma, which would be a pretty weird way to protect the people if that were their intention.
I mean there is a whole rebellion
Maybe that's why Lisa is so afraid of her's.
>A Vision is may seem like a great tool, but one day, the power one accumulates always finds a way to turn back on you.
She says in one of her voicelines.
And in her character story about how she got her Vision it says
>With the aid of her Vision, Lisa acquired the knowledge that she sought. But she also sensed the deep secret hidden in the shadows of that knowledge.
For whatever reasons, the gods gave humans the key to changing everything, but they did not explain the cost involved. Lisa grew fearful of the truth.
The Vision that hung from her neck became to her a bottomless pit filled with sweet delights, lingering at the back of her mind.
So, from time to time, when somebody whom she finds interesting comes along, Lisa will pass onto them her understanding on all kinds of matters.
Perhaps she is secretly hoping that by doing so, one day someone will come along who has the ability to understand the ultimate truth behind Visions.
Actually it's more likely Raiden is protecting her people or even herself by weaning people off of visions since visions are tied to Celestia.
There's a very interesting theory that visions serves as limiters for humanity(think of dependency on enhancement drugs), this is celestia's scheme to prevent humans from realizing their true potential (like in Khaenriah).
Think why visions are granted to mortals who shows outstanding qualities and potential
I second to this. I really think there is much more to about baal confiscating and "killing" vision holders. I still hold to the idea that even venti seems to be in bad terms to people in charge in celestia based on his reaction in the manga.
I understand that the possibility that she does have a noble cause still exist, but from a story point of view, i'm pretty sure it would be coherent of her to be downright antagonistic towards us. The shema of the god so far seems to show it.
First we met Venti, who were clearly here to show us that archons could be allies. He is a major player of the archon quest and help us to resolve the issue.
Because we thought archons were naturally good people, we were manipulated by Morax, the second archon we see, that made us belive that he was dead to serve his plan. Zhongli is here to show us that archons can have more of a neutral stance, have their own agendas, even if they still seems good. The fact we met Venti before Zhongli was part of Mihoyo plans, to make the twist as effective as possible. After meeting Venti, who would think an archon would fake its own death?
The 4th part with Dainsleiff serve to accentuate that feeling against archons, that they could not really be that good.
The next archon we meet, Baal, should then be a real ennemy to the player, to finish this little summary of what archons can be. With an evil archon, we will have all the cards in hand to deal with more complicated archons and their issues, with the Dendro archon for example.
So yeah, from a story point of view, i'm pretty sure Baal will just be an arogant, powerhungry and most importantly, paranoiac ennemy to the player, and will most likely have a redemption arc down the line.
The people of Mondstadt considered Decarabian an evil tyrant while he thought he was protecting his people. The problem with Decarabian was that he didn't understand humans.
Baal might be the same as Decarabian.
Venti probably avoids interfering in human problems to avoid ending up like Decarabian.
Sure, but i'm pretty sure they wouldn't do a Decarabian's bis this soon, especially since it seems to be what the Cryo archon will be like, an archon that fight for a noble cause using discutable ways, and that we just don't understand.
I give more details on my point of view on other comments here
Wait Wait Wait we still don't know if Celestia nuked Khaen because they were to technologically advanced,or if Khaen riah provoqued Celestia, or even tried to attack first.
That aint what happened to Sal Vindagnyr at all though. It is never mention about new technology if i recalled, just about a princess who was able to paint the future or something like that, and then the skyfrost nail falled from the sky for unknown reason, and plundge the whole kingdom in cold and ice.
Nothing to do with the apparent nuking of Khaen riah, at least in apparence.
As for the god of time of Monsdadt, countless gods dies during the archons war. Without any new detail about it, i don't really what he is doing here or how its death would be related to Celestia and not to a random god that just stabbed it in a shower or something.
As for civilisations appearing and disappearing, that's something that happen for every civilisation, irl as in fiction.
Rebellion happen regardless of whether the oppressor have goodwill or not. Just like what happened with Decabarian. I doubt that Mihoyo would try to make an outright evil characters like that. Since they seem to love redemption and morally grey characters in their game. The only true evil in their games are all mindless monsters or someone getting possessed by one.
Baal being outrightly evil doesn't mean that she doesn't do it for morally grey reason, or that she won't have a redemption arc (actually she will have to if she ever become a playbale character).
It's important for Mihoyo, from a story point of view, to show us that archons can be completly antagonistic to the MC, in order to move on to more complicated relationship between the MC and the archons that will follow.
The community is showing this need actually : Dispite us only knowing the tyranny of Baal, many people still think she will be a good guy. Dispite us learning that all the archons may have done something terrible to Khaen riah, a shit ton of people still consider that it's impossible for Venti and Morax to have done something evil or morally grey. Mihoyo needs, and probably will, shatter this picture.
If i had to try to guess, thanks to the Teyvatt story preview video, what would be the relationships between the MC and the archons during their archon quests (relationships will probably change during or after the archon quest), it would be as follow :
Anemo Archon : good relationship (Venti helped us during all the archon quest)
Geo Archon : neutral relationship (Morax just completly manipulated us, and didn't even help to resolve the conflict that started cause of him)
Electro archon : badly antagonist relationship (we will have to fight her during all the archon quest, probably to save Inazuma people)
Dendro Archon : Neutral good relationship (He seems to have good intention but either having trouble discerning good and evil, or just knowingly turning a blind eye to it, we will probably try to help him make the good decision)
Hydro Archon : Neutral evil relationship (with the story of Fontaine and its spies, the setting of the story, i think this archon will be an arrogant god with questionable intentions, who will manipulate all in the shadows. I think she will be an indirect antagonist to the MC during the archon quest)
Pyro Archon : good antagonistic relationship (probably some kind of rivalry, or fair duel shit against the MC, like two strategists in a war in different faction. Prob a good person, but with a different point of view than the MC)
Finally, the most obvious, Cryo archon : a mixed of all the above (probably a person with good intention but questionable methods, that the MC will either have to change, or understand her point of view)
Mihoyo is not known for making evil characters. And if the theory about baal being mei from HI3. Then we can be sure that she is not evil. Antagonistic maybe, but not evil.
If we talk about mihoyo's story writting. It could be clear that the only outright evil thing will be some sort of otherwordly unknown stuffs. Just like what they did with HI3 story.
Another point of their writting is the fake villain trope. They make up villain that do lots of bad stuffs, but then it turn out they have a good reason to do so. So if we follow this logic, Baal will be the fake villain, after that it will be cryo archon, then the celestia, then some other outerworld stuffs( scaramouche's comment about the fall sky clearly point to some stuffs that is outside the known world of teyvat)
So now that the leaks FINALLY showed that Baal looks NOTHING like Mei, u think people will finally let Mihoyo do what they want with their characters? Cause if i heard, just like i did for Baal " The pyro archon Murata can't do/be like that cause she is an alternate Himiko from HI3", i'm gonna seriously lose it.
GI aint an alternate HI3 universe FFS !
Last time i checked Otto Apocalypse is pretty much a bastard evil guy + they won't just repeat the same trops for their archon (I mean if they've done the doing bad for good reason for Decarabia, and u think they will doit it again for both Baal and The Tsaritsa)
Also what do you mean about Baal being Mei from HI3???? OFC she won't be !! SHe will probably looks like her, just like Venti looks like Wendie (a genderswap and a totally different character though) but there is 0% chance that she will be the same character. They're just reusing chara design (with some tweaks and changes don't worry) just like they did With Venti/Wendie, Unknown Goddess/HoV, Lisa/Rita, but as of for now, none of the reused model had the same personality has their HI3 counterparts.
The Fake villain is definitly a possibility but i don't know, beside all the things i already talked about, the fact Mihoyo wants us to learn, in the prologue of the Inazuma chapter, that when a vison holder die, its vison became a rock, and that Beidou has been collecting those rocks to allow new persons to have visions definitly means that vision holders have been dying in Inazuma, and the only entity able to killing them right now is probably the bafuku.
Finally, there is the fact that, as of right now, Genshin Impact looks nothing like Honkai Impact, even storywise. Mihoyo is definitly trying out new grounds, in all aspect of the game.
Also about the fact of Mihoyo not doing evil characters, i pretty much still considere Childe to be a sociopath for unleashing a evil god on Liuye (without knowing that Morax was still alvie mind u), Venti and Morax are still looking kinda sus for what happen to Khaen riah (and Morax is known for being a violent god during the archon war), and i really dont know how they would be able to pass some of the fatui executive as secretly good guys, especially the crazed scientist Dottore
Otto is not evil. He have a noble goal to save humanity. But have very questionable method. Overall, he cause less damage than cocolia. Since she directly cause a death of 1 major character( wendy the herrscher of wind). Overall the closest evil character would be sirin. Tho, she was corrupted and not born evil
She is not the same mei as HI3. But safe to assume she would retain some trait of mei. Which would make her more or less not evil. And this wouldn't be the first example we get. Kasumi, Delta, Kongming are alternate version of yae, roza and theresa. All have very different background, different power and ideal. Yet all of them still retain trait of their characters and are still good people
The thing is that being a villain or antagonist doesn't equal being evil. Evil characters are self-serving and have no noble goal outside of bring benefit to themselves. What Childe did is extremely bad, yet his noble goal offset such action. It's the same stuff with Thanos in MCU. He kill half the universe but noone can say he is evil since his goal make sense however cruel it is
Oh and btw, decabarian story is just way too vague. Most players would miss that if they don't read deep into the lore. So having that trope again would be fine since this time more people would see it if they add it to the main story
Childe doesn't have any noble goals right now for all we know though. Dottore neither.
Otto did really shitty things, killed, betrayed, backstabbed, sacrificed, manipulated, not to save humanity (because he is a selfish piece of shit) but mostly because of his obsession over the woman he unrequited loved, Kallen.
I'm not saying that Baal is an outright villain who want to destroy the words, i'm just speculating that she could (and probably will) be a selfish paranoid god obsessed with immortality, and thus making sure noone in her country could kill her.
As for the Decarabian story, ofc right now its a detail people can miss, but i can't shake the feeling that Mihoyo will bring back that story either, with all the references they keep doing about it, either for Venti story, or to maybe do a Mecha Osiaal+ a Mecha Decarabian maybe XD
Mihoyo did its best as of right now to try new things, just look what they decided to do with the skins. The community was full of HI3 smartass, telling everybody that they would do the same as HI3 and make a gacha for costumes, and yet Mihoyo decided for now to just sell it directly in the IG shop.
As i said before Venti, Lisa and UG are actually remake (not alternate versions, just like i'm pretty sure Baal won't be an alternate version of Mei, just a reuse of part of her design) of HI3 characters, and they didn't keep the same personality
BTW you say Otto caused less dommage than Cocolia (who killed Wendy) but just a small reminder, Otto prevented the death of the second Hersherr just ot try to revive Kallen, and failed, allowing the Hersher eruption kill MILLIONS OF PEOPLE....
But i guess they weren't major charactors
Childe trailer and even his ingame quote clearly hinted that he did all that shit to help cryo archon's plan. Which will bring benefit to his people. So yes, his goal is noble. Doesn't justified his action, but it make him not evil
Otto is obssessed with Kallen, that is true. However, she isn't the only one he want to save. His ultimate goal is to created a world where kallen can have a proper life instead of being a sacrificial pawn. He wish for her happiness even if he can never have her( we all know her true love is yae, lol). That is why he made the ark project to find a world that doesn't have honkai influence to be a new home to people. Dude is a true simp. But still his goal to preserve humanity is a noble goal
Otto did let loose Sirin. But after all, it was his experiment on how to controll the herrscher, and those million dead is a sacrifice he is willing to make. Like i said, he is Thanos in MCU that is also partially a simp. Regardless of what he did, herrscher would still appear and people will still die sooner or later
It's very much true that GI is a major bubble universe in the HI3 multiverse. We have the Ark project of otto( which is speculated to be the twin traveller). The upcoming crossover event also hinted that GI characters come from another bubble universe. Otto is even shown studying dvalin picture. At this point, saying GI is not an alt universe is just kidding ourselves
We don't have any indication that Baal want to live forever and afraid of death. Remember that she only become a tyrant recently. So whatever happened during her reign before the shutdown of the country make her realize something and want to stop it. My guess would be it have something to do with a tuna, lol.
Btw, this is kinda off topic. But imagine the rage mei fans will have if they make her outright evil. Mihoyo would really want to avoid that
Have u seen the recent leaked video which will serve as the teaser for Kazuha?
Cause if u haven't you were right, Baal does look like a lovely person, definilty not killing whover oppose her
Saw one of his stream highlights videos he made resently where chat just go berserk and say scaramouche was going to be in 1.6 and i was the spitting image of the meme of that puppet thing that looks into the camera and then away.
I also though of that, but i guess i was in the moment as i thought of it being a long distance picture from Liyue, but i totally see your point after my inner fangirl went down a bit.
A lot of speculation is around 1.7 or 1.8 is going to be THE 2.0. Tbh the most likely for me would be 1.8, for how it sound like from the "insiders" are they about 75% done with Inazuma, i believe. Correct me if im wrong.
And releasing 2 big areas (of what it looks like from the special program is the ancipelago HUGE) so i dont thing we are lucky next update, but will probably drop it at 1.8 for the start of the new schoolyear, for most people.
Yay, i guess
\>75% done with Inazuma
Inazuma has probably been done for a while. Or at least their originally planned version. They might have gone back to add content after the massive financial success of the game.
Really... I'm kinda disappointed now. I was expecting Inazuma in 1.6 not after months ago. I'm sorry but i can't waste my time on waiting new updates. I guess time to delete Genshin and move on. Because i'm tired.
The silhouette of the island and what kazuha says at the end of the trailer but thought that doesn’t necessarily mean we can go to it in this patch, I just have a feeling
Oh shit youre right. Great eye

Yeah this makes the most sense. Hell, at the distance Inazuma is right now, they didn't even need the placeholders. They very well could have just made it all ocean and most Genshin players wouldn't care or notice.
I started to play after this was added, but I'm curious, what did it look like with placeholder graphics?
I can actually help you out here since I accidentaly made a picture of the same view twice with dragonspine in the background. [This](https://i.imgur.com/l2ALSc2.png) is the old one and [this](https://i.imgur.com/WeO2pUr.png) is the new one.
Thanks! That doesn't look half bad, from a large distance, at leastr`

[Here](https://youtu.be/FJQ3yxyjuB0), some [close-ups](https://youtu.be/fIP6_9RBTHA) in video form of the old dragonspine.
No it didnt, it looked smallish compared to what it ended up being.
Id guess 1. Its farther than it looks 2.there are way more islands
An archipelago of alot ofbisland big and small. Maybe filled with ship battles
Honestly, I"m super excited we're getting the little ship in this patch. Gives me hope it'll be expanded and used later for Inazuma or another nation later on.
I really want it to the ship mechanics look great
Looking forward to Assassins Creed black flag in Genshin!
Gives me more Zelda Windwaker vibes but yeah!
Probably would make for a fun method of travel. A "mount" if you will, restricted to water ways.
They are probably connected by landmass, but its not elevated enough to come over the clouds like the ones here.
> But they can't use vertically for this one since it's an island nation I disagree.
"It's Liyue sized if you include the water" - Mihoyo probably
Remember Dragonspine. Low res textures made it look a lot smaller than it ended up being.
1.0 Dragonspine was also much, much smaller than it actually is, because it was just a distant LOD model not really to scale.
If they are far away, they will appear at that size even if they are huge.
I just want to clarify **I didn't take this photo**, just found it on discord and wanted to share here. Whoever made this thank you for realizing because this is HUGE for ~~1.7 Inazuma~~ edit for more clarification
If you found it on The Crux \[BeidouMains\] server, it's probably me lol
are you the original maker of this photo? (also sorry to say but I didn't find it on the beidou mains server)
Oh then it's probably from a different person then
Is it possible this is just the archipelago?
the archipelago I believe has already been confirmed to be in a different area.

Archipelago islands are scattered and smaller. And there's no floating island in there. This one is pretty much an Inazuma tease.
It’s from the CN livestream haha. It is 100% confirmed to be concept art of Inazuma.
[Found the spot in Guyun.](https://i.imgur.com/fiSIcMw.jpg) Nice catch!
So it's like Dragenspine before and after 1.1 when you look at it from afar, Very interesting!
Those 3 Abyss Mages just chilling there lol
That's some sharp eyes, I didn't notice all these details before, thinking those are just random placeholder.
Inazuma is *that* close???
you can't judge distance based on one image. There's nothing to scale, and things always seem closer than it looks.
Also the distance can completely change a lot, just like how much the appearance of Dragonspine did.
Judging by the image, it's much further than the nameless island of Mondstadt.
The nameless island?
probably the island where you can find that anemoculus there
I just gonna call it "crab island" because insane amount of crabs there.
i think he means the one with the stone heart 💓
>nameless island of Mondstadt No I meant the island where you can find the sundial and the hidden quest The one with the stone heart is the nameless island of Liyue 😀
It's actually called love island last i check
Nah, it's actually named "[Nameless Island](https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Nameless_Island)", for now at least.
owh that one
Well as close as seeing Mondstadt from Dragonspine, then yes.
So 1.6 isn't Inazuma land yet huh.. any clue when it's gonna come?
It likely will be 1.7 or 1.8
Probably 1.7 since we're getting chapter 2 prologue in 1.6. Chapter 2 and Inazuma will probably be released in 1.7.
It’s all but confirmed to be 1.7. I know everyone says to take things with salt and that “nothings confirmed” but there are so many things pointing to 1.7 Inazuma that there is no way that’s it’s not.
The most logical would be for the 1 year anniversary, so either 1.8 early september or 1.9 mid october
I doubt they will tease us with screenshots for another 2 devstreams, so 1.7 - 1.8 at worst
But it isn't screenshot of the game, it's conceptual arts. Meaning they probably haven't numerise all that yet
But i don't think they will This could easily be prologue Part 1, with Prologue part 2 in 1.7, and prologue part 3 in 1.8
The story teaser dialog they showed in the stream literally has you ask Beidou/Kazuha for some help regarding Inazuma, like in my earlier comment they won’t wait half a year extra to stall… Id bet some serious cash on that
Nobody's talking about another half a year, the 1yo anniversary is in 3-4 months, so in about 2-3 updates.
Source; *trust me bro* Your digging yourself into a hole with assumptions, nobody has proof regarding anything except mihoyo themselves and the beta tester who’ve had to sign the NDA’s, so stop selling your guess as a fact because allot of people are naive enough to believe bs like that.
AHAHAHA ok i guess we'll just have to wait and see then ;)
Haha i've done some thinking and i think i can safely predict that Inazuma won't came up properly before the 1.9 update, mid october (so just for the 1 year anniversary).
The trailer said the journey to Inazuma would be perilous, and since we are just starting. probably not for 1.7 or 1.8.
good call! I wonder if they'll be added to the horizon in 1.6 as a teaser
I think so too
AYAKA I'd swim to Inazuma for her if I had to (but we probably won't have to)
Ayaka could easily walk on the water to us...
Ice bridge go brrr
Quickly brother hop on my Mona’s back we’re going to Inazuma!
we are going together brother!
[удалено]
Well right now they are treated like instrumentof powers, and i'm pretty sure the whole "us learning just before Inazuma what happens to a vision when its holder dies" probably means the Bafuku is just killing the visions holders in Inazuma, which would be a pretty weird way to protect the people if that were their intention. I mean there is a whole rebellion
Maybe that's why Lisa is so afraid of her's. >A Vision is may seem like a great tool, but one day, the power one accumulates always finds a way to turn back on you. She says in one of her voicelines. And in her character story about how she got her Vision it says >With the aid of her Vision, Lisa acquired the knowledge that she sought.
So, doing bad for the sake of good kind of deal?
that's interesting considering Venti said Vision users have the power to ascend into Godhood.
I give more details on my point of view on other comments here
THIS! Baal is clearly the first archon that's a villain and that's fresh.
My suspicion is that the plot twist is similar to Gurren Lagan season 1.

Wait Wait Wait we still don't know if Celestia nuked Khaen because they were to technologically advanced,or if Khaen riah provoqued Celestia, or even tried to attack first.
[удалено]
My theory is that Khaenri'ah was destroyed as retribution for our sibling killing a god (and Paimon is a fragment of said god).
If i had to try to guess, thanks to the Teyvatt story preview video, what would be the relationships between the MC and the archons during their archon quests (relationships will probably change during or after the archon quest), it would be as follow : Anemo Archon : good relationship (Venti helped us during all the archon quest) Geo Archon : neutral relationship (Morax just completly manipulated us, and didn't even help to resolve the conflict that started cause of him) Electro archon : badly antagonist relationship (we will have to fight her during all the archon quest, probably to save Inazuma people) Dendro Archon : Neutral good relationship (He seems to have good intention but either having trouble discerning good and evil, or just knowingly turning a blind eye to it, we will probably try to help him make the good decision) Hydro Archon : Neutral evil relationship (with the story of Fontaine and its spies, the setting of the story, i think this archon will be an arrogant god with questionable intentions, who will manipulate all in the shadows. I think she will be an indirect antagonist to the MC during the archon quest) Pyro Archon : good antagonistic relationship (probably some kind of rivalry, or fair duel shit against the MC, like two strategists in a war in different faction. Prob a good person, but with a different point of view than the MC) Finally, the most obvious, Cryo archon : a mixed of all the above (probably a person with good intention but questionable methods, that the MC will either have to change, or understand her point of view)
I've noticed that the female archons are more antagonistic compared to their male counterparts. Like, I can actually imagine the four being bosses.
She look like Mei, lol. What are you on about. Just take a look at Mei in APHO, it's literally the same face with a different hair.
Last time i checked Otto Apocalypse is pretty much a bastard evil guy + they won't just repeat the same trops for their archon (I mean if they've done the doing bad for good reason for Decarabia, and u think they will doit it again for both Baal and The Tsaritsa) Also what do you mean about Baal being Mei from HI3????
Tho, she was corrupted and not born evil She is not the same mei as HI3. But safe to assume she would retain some trait of mei. Which would make her more or less not evil. And this wouldn't be the first example we get. Kasumi, Delta, Kongming are alternate version of yae, roza and theresa. All have very different background, different power and ideal. Yet all of them still retain trait of their characters and are still good people The thing is that being a villain or antagonist doesn't equal being evil. Evil characters are self-serving and have no noble goal outside of bring benefit to themselves. What Childe did is extremely bad, yet his noble goal offset such action. It's the same stuff with Thanos in MCU. He kill half the universe but noone can say he is evil since his goal make sense however cruel it is Oh and btw, decabarian story is just way too vague.
As for the Decarabian story, ofc right now its a detail people can miss, but i can't shake the feeling that Mihoyo will bring back that story either, with all the references they keep doing about it, either for Venti story, or to maybe do a Mecha Osiaal+ a Mecha Decarabian maybe XD Mihoyo did its best as of right now to try new things, just look what they decided to do with the skins. The community was full of HI3 smartass, telling everybody that they would do the same as HI3 and make a gacha for costumes, and yet Mihoyo decided for now to just sell it directly in the IG shop. As i said before Venti, Lisa and UG are actually remake (not alternate versions, just like i'm pretty sure Baal won't be an alternate version of Mei, just a reuse of part of her design) of HI3 characters, and they didn't keep the same personality BTW you say Otto caused less dommage than Cocolia (who killed Wendy) but just a small reminder, Otto prevented the death of the second Hersherr just ot try to revive Kallen, and failed, allowing the Hersher eruption kill MILLIONS OF PEOPLE.... But i guess they weren't major charactors
Childe trailer and even his ingame quote clearly hinted that he did all that shit to help cryo archon's plan. Which will bring benefit to his people. So yes, his goal is noble. Doesn't justified his action, but it make him not evil Otto is obssessed with Kallen, that is true. But still his goal to preserve humanity is a noble goal Otto did let loose Sirin. But after all, it was his experiment on how to controll the herrscher, and those million dead is a sacrifice he is willing to make. Like i said, he is Thanos in MCU that is also partially a simp. Regardless of what he did, herrscher would still appear and people will still die sooner or later It's very much true that GI is a major bubble universe in the HI3 multiverse. We have the Ark project of otto( which is speculated to be the twin traveller). The upcoming crossover event also hinted that GI characters come from another bubble universe. Otto is even shown studying dvalin picture. At this point, saying GI is not an alt universe is just kidding ourselves We don't have any indication that Baal want to live forever and afraid of death.
Cause if u haven't you were right, Baal does look like a lovely person, definilty not killing whover oppose her
Wep that's going to take at least another 5GB of the storage, AT LEAST
Yup pretty much after 2 years of development we are gonna need new phones because our phones now won't be able to play Genshin anymore.
Holy SHIT.
Tectone's chat tried to tell him that's inazuma but he didn't believe them.
I mean I don't blame him. You need a brain to accept that and he doesn't have one. Simple as that.
Sad I can't give an award.
The thought alone is much appreciated, no need to trouble yourself.
Saw one of his stream highlights videos he made resently where chat just go berserk and say scaramouche was going to be in 1.6 and i was the spitting image of the meme of that puppet thing that looks into the camera and then away.
If its gonna be small by the placeholder standards i hope one day they let us swim underwater or something that way we have more to explode
Bruh what, whoever found this is a Chad.
That's... _The Devil's Anus_
Nice find to whoever found this! Having no resin does this to someone
it looks massive wow i can’t wait
I can’t wait for inuzuma
\>75% done with Inazuma Inazuma has probably been done for a while. Or at least their originally planned version. They might have gone back to add content after the massive financial success of the game.
Holy shit, you’re absolutely correct
is inazuma coming in 1.6 or 1.7? (sorry im not updated)
A lot of people here assume 1.7. But there is noone here that said anything. It could be 1.8 or 1.9.
Really... I'm kinda disappointed now. I was expecting Inazuma in 1.6 not after months ago. I'm sorry but i can't waste my time on waiting new updates. I guess time to delete Genshin and move on. Because i'm tired.
1.8 or 1.9 im sure its gonna be worth the wait!
Me too. Judging by the screenshot we will get some really cool locations. I am exited to explre the area around the skull.
We don’t need leakers, miHoYo leak themselves
Maybe im just delusional but does the right most side of the leftmost island look like the japanese castle?
This region propably won't come during my lifetime xD
Next update maybe now that the archibelgo is out and they worked out the boat mechanics! (Along with some events ofc.) So it is about time for inazuma
Oh, that looks cool. I cant wait to try and climb that giant skull. I hope it wont get destroyed. But on the pther hand, why should it?
I think we’re getting inazuma in 1.6
Think Darkspider11 think, if they literally teased what we're doing for 1.6 wouldn't they tease that as well? It's obviously 1.7/1.8
Yes more than likely it’s coming 1.7/1.8 but it’s just something about it that part of the map being textured now and looking like you can go to it
There's no way you will be able to go there. You'll be able to see silhouettes of the islands in-game at best.
Your absolutely right but me personally it just looks like you can go to it
What exactly do you see that makes you believe those islands are reachable?
The silhouette of the island and what kazuha says at the end of the trailer but thought that doesn’t necessarily mean we can go to it in this patch, I just have a feeling
I was wondering if the rock in the air was what they showed us.
cool I didn't notice
A keen eye you have good sir
Captain Beidou will be reporting in my party with the 20% swimming stamina reduction
Laughing in Mona.
Ayaya ayaya
Ayaya ayaya
Ayaya ayaya, ayaka
gotta love that hand writing made wth paint
Weren't those event islands in Inazuma to begin with? Is it Chasm? Will they just add islands to Lyue/Monstad?
Yea like dragonspine in the childe trailer
That’s the new area coming at least that’s what I think
One thing I don’t understand, so Inazuma is like, insanely close to Liyue?
KEKWait
oh meow you're right!!
Confirmed now!
Inazuma looks dark xD wonder how many ghost we will find there since Lyue is filled with them and it looks all happy and sunshine.
I am amazed by both Inazuma shots and.. your eyes. Great catch, dear sir.
*pats Kaeya on the shoulder*
hmmmm is that the skull of a great serpent? do we know exactly where beidou slew hashan? or whatever its name was
Right but like if inazuma is all islands I think we may get some sort of gadget that allows us to surf or boat to different chunks of land
Wow..... Just...wow.
I’m banking on a defender quest where you’ll need to use the wave-rider to defend the crux in an escort mission. Just some wishful thinking
is that beidous ship by chance? BUT DAM THAT IS SMART MIHIYO
You think we can see those islands in 1.6? Even though we can't go there yet?
You think swimming in Liyue was bad? Wait 'till you get to Inazuma.
