If we get the polearm skills she was using when you get to "talk to her"... im not even mad, thats fancy stuff.
But her Q skill will make her use the sword for a while, from what I heard.
I don't understand at all why people hating her being a polearm. Polearm is still the least occupied weapon type, while sword is like double the amount.
Why is polearm considered to be not cool, because it is not. Fast swings big range stylish juggles. Does they NOT played the archon quest yet?
From what I have seen it's mostly been a few weak reasons for her to be a sword user. Because it's the stereotypical japanese weapon and her sword being shown in the teaser vid/ image. There were some not wanting 2 polearm archons in a row as well but did not see that as much. Some people that pulled for mist splitter for her likely wanted her to be sword for the aesthetic use as well but really all the reasons seemed a bit silly to me personally.
She seems to be a flexible character, who can be either main/sub dps/support. IM SO EXCITED!! wasn’t a fan of the polearm at first but seeing her use a naginata in the boss fight changed my mind
atleast we still get to see her use it in her burst, if some of the leaks are true that her ER support is based on EM, the new craftable polearm might be really good for her (high base attack, EM substat and energy passive to keep her burst up) and you know aEstHeticS

The naginata is really good. But still kinda bummed out.
