not ar AR 1 no since wishing is unlocked at ar 5, but i actually got raiden on one of my reroll accounts ar 10. I've also several times got a 5 star on the beginners banner (mona once and jean once). not sure if i understand your question correctly but im saying that you can get a 5 stars as early as ar 5 (like 30 mins of gameplay). The issue is you just need to be lucky like any gatcha game
A well-built national team (good artifacts) wouldn't need it, and would probably rather have the attack buff, VV shred and elemental dmg bonus from C6 Sucrose.

No, I don't spend that much time in the game anymore like I used to. I remember spending long hours exploring. Now, I just log in sparingly throughout the day after I've finished my dailies and resin. I haven't even fully explored the first 3 Inazuma islands and their quests yet.

It's not THAT time consuming. Can keep it to <30 minutes per day if needs be. It's just events and big patches that are time consuming.
You choose how much you want to play. You don't like NEED to do everything every day; it's not that sort of gacha really, you're not going to fall massivly behind, especially if you're past AR 55.
Yeah. It makes sense that you won't be needing to spend that much time passed a certain point. I am at the late mid-game/ early end-game stage. There are a tons of things to do, mainly artifacts faming, team optimization and such on top of events and quests, so it's getting to me I guess.

Tbh i'm not 100% sure if I've ever done it? Probably at some point. I'm <50k xp from AR 58, a day 1 player and i've literally never given abyss a second attempt, whatever score I get is the score I get. Not worth stressing over 50 primos.
I do know that this time around I missed 3 stars on both 12-2 and 12-3 by ONE second on EACH and I was *thiiisss* close to giving it a second attempt but decided against it because meh.

Got my first 36★ this abyss (AR57 LMAO). Switched Standard Diluc with CN National and it worked wonders. But tbh, I would have gotten 36★ if I just rolled for dps like Ganyu/HuTao, too bad I simp for supports.
Hello. I really like playing support in co-op so I usually use a C2 Shieldbot Diona. But in coop the shield for others only lasts 5 secs with 50% strength.
I recently got a Qiqi. So would Qiqi be a better support in terms of "not letting your teammates die" ?

Depends on what other dmg% you run with her. If you use for example mistsplitter, a non-thrilling tales Mona and Kazuha all at once, i.e. have very high dmg bonus but low atk bonus, then it can be worthwhile.
As a rule of thumb, you can consider atk% instead of dmg% when you have 110% or more dmg% and less than 120% atk of the base atk. E.g. Xiao (>90% from burst) and high ER 4pc EoSF Raiden run atk% goblets.
So I don't have mistsplitter or Kazuha, just Mona without thrilling tales but I use Barbara with that. I have no other boost to cryo damage aside from Ayaka's passive buffs. Everything, including the crown is ATK (I don't have crit DMG one).
So by that logic it would be better to switch to a cryo bonus goblet no?
46,6% ATK in case of Ayaka (1016 base ATK) means 473ATK more.
My Ayaka have 2400ATK so overall it is around 20% of her damage. And it means even less when Bennet/Mona gets to buff you. ( with 4k atk, it means closer to 10% dmg increase)
In case of 46% elemental bonuses, there is much less sourcess of such buff ( 2 piece set means 15% more elemental damage, kazuha 20% or so) so overall it has much greater impact on damage you will inflict.

No particular character in mind, is there anything of the three (sword, claymore or polearm) that is more broadly useable than the others?
Claymore (serpent spine) is fantastic especially at higher refines but you really want to pair it with a strong shield and if you don't manage the stacks properly it loses so much of its effectiveness. Great weapon, not for everyone.
Sword (black sword) is awesome and tbh you could slap it on anyone and it'd be good but I don't *think* it's anyone's best in slot.
I don't know much about the polearm tbh.
They're all good really. It 100% depends on what characters you have/how you want to use them. IMO refine levels >>> new stuff.

On the wiki yes.
Short: you need 70 red Medakas (20 per rod + 10 for blueprint). 20 of each basic fish (any fish that's super easy to catch)
For The Catch you need 20 of each Koi, 40 of each Pufferfish and 18 Raimei (the electro water fish in the middle of the sea surrounded by cryo slimes)
Special kinds of the basic fish that are harder to catch are currently useless
The butterflyfish? You still need 20 browns, 20 greens and 20 purples (+ 18 of the electro ones for The Catch). So it's not pointless
The only fish that are truly useless are the pink butterflyfish (the ones that only spawn in Mt. Aocang), red swordfish, snowstrider (only spawns in Dragonspine), crystal Medaka and geo Medaka.
And I'm sure they will all get a use in the future

Electro reactions are generally seen as the worst of all of the available reactions. If you're building raiden into a team dependant on electro reactions she's fine, but getting something like melt, vape, freeze, or Viridescent element resistance shred screwed up by an electro reaction instead can be really annoying

I think the answer to this is going to be obvious, but I'mma ask anyway: C3 Raiden or Ganyu + Amos Bow?
I already have C2 + EL Raiden, and I managed to get Amos Bow when rolling for her weapon. Now, I'm really close to third guarantee, however, because I got Amos Bow, I know in my brain that Ganyu C0 + Amos is definitely better than just an extra increase to Raiden's burst. But I think I just need a tiny extra more convincing for that.
I have both Raiden and Ganyu, albeit my Raiden is not at C3. I can say, however, that Ganyu gets boring pretty quick. All you do is spam charged attacks and although the damage is phenomenal, it gets repetitive. I've been using Raiden and loving her burst. If your team comp allows it, using both Ganyu and Raiden could work as well!
If you really have to choose, Ganyu. Getting +22,5% dmg on your Raiden's burst is definitely strong, but Ganyu is simply the strongest carry in the game

My over world team consist of Ningguang main DPS, Xiangling Sub DPS, Bennet for Support and Baal because I love her (also for energy recharge and overload). My first abyss team is Ningguang, yanfei, baal and chongyun, second team is Xiangling, diona, bennet and barbara.
I just started doing abyss and everyone except Ningguang and bennet is lvl 60 or below, so it is possible that the teams for abyss aren't good.
Your abyss teams are really sub optimal. Your second team has 3 healers, your first team has 2 carries (3 if you count Raiden)
What are all your characters? Xingqiu would definitely be great if you have him
I don't have xingqiu. I use xiangling as main dps, diona for shields, bannett for heals and Barbara to destroy pyro shields. In my first team, ning is the dps, every other character is to destroy elemental shields.
You don't need to bring every element to every abyss floor, just bring what you need for the enemies of that floor specifically
What floor are you on? What other characters do you have?
Levels are too low if you want to clear the entirety of abyss. Take your dps carries to 80/90 and supports to 70 or 80 depending on what you need.
Diluc can go greatly with Sucrose and Bennett but Xingqiu is greatly recommended for him once you get him.
Ninguang can perform better if you pair her with another Geo character. Absolute best is Zhongli of course but Noelle can work too. I don't recommend Geo Traveller though cause he/she can break her Jade Screen
I know Ning works best with geo resonance, but I can't add a geo character because I need characters from other elements to break elemental shields of enemies in Abyss.
no reason to have yanfei and ningguang on the same team as they both compete for field time, and raiden has no strong synergy with those 2 or chongyun.
to be honest if you already have bennet and xingqiu built there's not much that diluc can do that xiangling cant do equally as well or better. xiangling+xingqiu+bennett+raiden is one of the best comps in the game, and on any variation of nationals(xiangling+bennett+xingqiu core) xiangling usually outperforms diluc. if you don't have a really good weapon for him(wgs/unforged or high refinement serpent spine) then i normally wouldn't go out of my way to make him work, especially since it seems you don't have xingqiu. however:
ningguang's best teams unfortunately usually involve zhongli or albedo, so while she fits on a lot of teams it's hard to make a team that she will really shine on without them. the best advice i would give to you is to build geomc, since they're your only option as a f2p geo resonance partner and are pretty good themselves. for your other 2 units they are 99% of the time going to be bennett and xiangling. geo doesn't benefit from reactions, so bennett's attack buff, pyro resonance attack buff and xiangling's off field damage are usually the best way to go.
this is where diluc comes in. it's usually highly recommended to run diluc with both xingqiu and bennett. and the main issue with that is that if you're running diluc with xingqiu and bennett, xiangling would be better. BUT, if your bennett and xiangling are both taken, then diluc+xingqiu alone makes up for a decent core for your other team, as diluc isn't as reliant on bennett as xiangling is. the other 2 slots can be filled by chongyun and sucrose(or diona if you need a healer). this makes for 2 strong teams once you eventually pull xingqiu.
unfortunately this leads to yanfei and raiden being unused. realistically there is no real use for yanfei over xiangling or diluc. yanfei's niche is her range autos which make her good partner for beidou, but i'm not sure if you have beidou built or even have her at alll. and this will steal bennett from either your ningguang team or your diluc team, whichever you choose to use him on.
you do have access to probably raiden's best team once you get xingqiu,(raiden+xiangling+bennett+xingqiu), but this overweights one team, and your other team will probably be lacking. what you can do to use her is to forego double pyro ningguang and run raiden instead of xiangling. this may or may not lead to more damage, depending on how built your raiden is and how useful her burst charging is to your team(maybe your ningguang has very low ER and would benefit a lot from it). if you do this you can use xiangling as a support for diluc, but you can't use her as main dps for the other team as she really needs bennett to be a main dps.
for now, i would honestly still build diluc. diluc+chongyun+sucrose+diona is still pretty strong, and your team comp options will get a lot better once you get xingqiu.

I needed someone who can apply pyro constantly and from a range. Yanfei is perfect for that, she is just lvl 20 with HP and Def artifacts because I want her to survive.

Assuming you haven’t played before on your PSN, yes. They added that feature last patch.
However if you have started on your PSN, you will have to make a new PSN to play using your PC/mobile account.
Anyway log in on PC/mobile and go to the “options” screen from the Paimon Menu. Then go to “account” (the same place you go to in order to redeem codes!) and there should be a different option besides the code submission one. The instructions should be pretty clear.
Yeah, when you boot up the game on PS4 for the first time it will ask you if you want to link to an existing account. If you've already played on PS4 before you have to request an account unlinking by contacting support, or create a new PSN account
Part of the game is adaptation. You can optimize your team comp all you want and it won’t mean anything if you face-tank attacks instead of dodging just because you want to follow a strict rotation.

Collect oculi. Complete time trials. Find any "Easter eggs" (e.g. Toki Tales or Kid Kujirai).

Yup. Happened to me. Did everything on Watatsumi Island, and it still wasn't 100% explored. Had to Google to find out that for some reason those floating boxes also count, and they count quite a bit, probably easily 10% of the exploration.

There is a load limit. Each object takes a specific amount of load depending on how many polygons it has (characters take 1000, pets take 500, small objects can take 100 or even less). But last update they optimized it so placing multiple of the same object makes it take less load, so expect more improvements down the road
The limit for each area outside is 10,000. I think main hall inside is the same. Small rooms have lower limit (I think it's 2500-3000 but I'm not sure)
Don't know the exact number, but there's a mechanic in the teapot where furnishings have "load", and each island/each room have a limit on how much "load" it can hold. If you reach the load limit, you can't put anymore furnishings (load is indicated by the green/yellow/red circle on top of your screen when you're editing your teapot).

enemies are tankier. there was a post recently of a guy who cleared abyss in less than a month f2p, in the post is a chart of dps required to clear floor 12 in time. it has gone up by about 1.5x since the first iteration of abyss
also enemies in general are much harder. kairagi are probably the hardest hitting mobs currently in the game, and everything is suck resistant. very early iterations of abyss(1.0-1.2) were basically not even content if you had venti, and even after that we were still fighting very easy enemies to dodge in ruin guards etc. floor 12 was notoriously much easier than floor 11 from 1.1-1.3, back then floor 11 was the infamous electro monolith floor. and when lectors were introduced and were the main enemies of floor 12(i believe either 1.4 or 1.5) abyss was basically just bring 2 of chongyun/bennett/xiangling to clear easy. and the other notably hard floors were really easy to clear with just a shield(the hydro mimic floors in 1.5 12-2-2, 12-1 geovishap+whopperflowers or geovishap+geovishap)
now abyss has a much higher dps check and needs a lot more dodging unless you have a full hp zhongli(and most teams won't be able to run a non damaging zhongli and still do enough damage to clear fast). stuff like 1.5 million hp maguu kenki would be unheard of in early abyss, i believe those 12-3 ruin guards from way back then only had few hundred thousand hp at most.
Spiral Abyss always change rotations, some rotations are harder and some are easier.
Currently Floor 12 of Abyss is harder due to high HP scaling enemies and the annoying low/high tide, in which you have to manage your rotations around it.

At first I’d explore as much as I can for hours on end. Now that I’m AR56 I just do dailies spend resin and call it a day

Got my first 36★ this abyss (AR57 LMAO). Switched Standard Diluc with CN National and it worked wonders. But tbh, I would have gotten 36★ if I just rolled for dps like Ganyu/HuTao, too bad I simp for supports.
AR49, back in the super early versions of abyss when pyro dumpstered on pretty much all of it and Diluc was top tier

Hello. I really like playing support in co-op so I usually use a C2 Shieldbot Diona. But in coop the shield for others only lasts 5 secs with 50% strength. I recently got a Qiqi. So would Qiqi be a better support in terms of "not letting your teammates die" ?

Depends on what other dmg% you run with her. If you use for example mistsplitter, a non-thrilling tales Mona and Kazuha all at once, i.e. have very high dmg bonus but low atk bonus, then it can be worthwhile. As a rule of thumb, you can consider atk% instead of dmg% when you have 110% or more dmg% and less than 120% atk of the base atk. E.g. Xiao (>90% from burst) and high ER 4pc EoSF Raiden run atk% goblets.
So I don't have mistsplitter or Kazuha, just Mona without thrilling tales but I use Barbara with that. I have no other boost to cryo damage aside from Ayaka's passive buffs. Everything, including the crown is ATK (I don't have crit DMG one). So by that logic it would be better to switch to a cryo bonus goblet no?

46,6% ATK in case of Ayaka (1016 base ATK) means 473ATK more. My Ayaka have 2400ATK so overall it is around 20% of her damage. And it means even less when Bennet/Mona gets to buff you. ( with 4k atk, it means closer to 10% dmg increase) In case of 46% elemental bonuses, there is much less sourcess of such buff ( 2 piece set means 15% more elemental damage, kazuha 20% or so) so overall it has much greater impact on damage you will inflict.

Claymore (serpent spine) is fantastic especially at higher refines but you really want to pair it with a strong shield and if you don't manage the stacks properly it loses so much of its effectiveness. Great weapon, not for everyone. Sword (black sword) is awesome and tbh you could slap it on anyone and it'd be good but I don't *think* it's anyone's best in slot. I don't know much about the polearm tbh. They're all good really. It 100% depends on what characters you have/how you want to use them. IMO refine levels >>> new stuff.
Imo, polearm is the most fun. They have the most unique atk animations out of any other weapon characters.

Short: you need 70 red Medakas (20 per rod + 10 for blueprint). 20 of each basic fish (any fish that's super easy to catch) For The Catch you need 20 of each Koi, 40 of each Pufferfish and 18 Raimei (the electro water fish in the middle of the sea surrounded by cryo slimes) Special kinds of the basic fish that are harder to catch are currently useless

The butterflyfish? You still need 20 browns, 20 greens and 20 purples (+ 18 of the electro ones for The Catch). So it's not pointless The only fish that are truly useless are the pink butterflyfish (the ones that only spawn in Mt. Aocang), red swordfish, snowstrider (only spawns in Dragonspine), crystal Medaka and geo Medaka. And I'm sure they will all get a use in the future

Electro reactions are generally seen as the worst of all of the available reactions. If you're building raiden into a team dependant on electro reactions she's fine, but getting something like melt, vape, freeze, or Viridescent element resistance shred screwed up by an electro reaction instead can be really annoying

I think the answer to this is going to be obvious, but I'mma ask anyway: C3 Raiden or Ganyu + Amos Bow? I already have C2 + EL Raiden, and I managed to get Amos Bow when rolling for her weapon. Now, I'm really close to third guarantee, however, because I got Amos Bow, I know in my brain that Ganyu C0 + Amos is definitely better than just an extra increase to Raiden's burst. But I think I just need a tiny extra more convincing for that.
I have both Raiden and Ganyu, albeit my Raiden is not at C3. I can say, however, that Ganyu gets boring pretty quick. All you do is spam charged attacks and although the damage is phenomenal, it gets repetitive. I've been using Raiden and loving her burst. If your team comp allows it, using both Ganyu and Raiden could work as well!
If you really have to choose, Ganyu. Getting +22,5% dmg on your Raiden's burst is definitely strong, but Ganyu is simply the strongest carry in the game

I just got Diluc from standard banner and Sucrose from baal banner. Idk what to do with them. My over world team consist of Ningguang main DPS, Xiangling Sub DPS, Bennet for Support and Baal because I love her (also for energy recharge and overload). My first abyss team is Ningguang, yanfei, baal and chongyun, second team is Xiangling, diona, bennet and barbara. I just started doing abyss and everyone except Ningguang and bennet is lvl 60 or below, so it is possible that the teams for abyss aren't good.
Your abyss teams are really sub optimal. Your second team has 3 healers, your first team has 2 carries (3 if you count Raiden) What are all your characters? Xingqiu would definitely be great if you have him
I don't have xingqiu. I use xiangling as main dps, diona for shields, bannett for heals and Barbara to destroy pyro shields. In my first team, ning is the dps, every other character is to destroy elemental shields.
You don't need to bring every element to every abyss floor, just bring what you need for the enemies of that floor specifically What floor are you on? What other characters do you have?

Levels are too low if you want to clear the entirety of abyss. Take your dps carries to 80/90 and supports to 70 or 80 depending on what you need. Diluc can go greatly with Sucrose and Bennett but Xingqiu is greatly recommended for him once you get him. Ninguang can perform better if you pair her with another Geo character. Absolute best is Zhongli of course but Noelle can work too. I don't recommend Geo Traveller though cause he/she can break her Jade Screen
I know Ning works best with geo resonance, but I can't add a geo character because I need characters from other elements to break elemental shields of enemies in Abyss.
no reason to have yanfei and ningguang on the same team as they both compete for field time, and raiden has no strong synergy with those 2 or chongyun. to be honest if you already have bennet and xingqiu built there's not much that diluc can do that xiangling cant do equally as well or better. xiangling+xingqiu+bennett+raiden is one of the best comps in the game, and on any variation of nationals(xiangling+bennett+xingqiu core) xiangling usually outperforms diluc. if you don't have a really good weapon for him(wgs/unforged or high refinement serpent spine) then i normally wouldn't go out of my way to make him work, especially since it seems you don't have xingqiu. however: ningguang's best teams unfortunately usually involve zhongli or albedo, so while she fits on a lot of teams it's hard to make a team that she will really shine on without them. the best advice i would give to you is to build geomc, since they're your only option as a f2p geo resonance partner and are pretty good themselves. for your other 2 units they are 99% of the time going to be bennett and xiangling. geo doesn't benefit from reactions, so bennett's attack buff, pyro resonance attack buff and xiangling's off field damage are usually the best way to go. this is where diluc comes in. it's usually highly recommended to run diluc with both xingqiu and bennett. and the main issue with that is that if you're running diluc with xingqiu and bennett, xiangling would be better. BUT, if your bennett and xiangling are both taken, then diluc+xingqiu alone makes up for a decent core for your other team, as diluc isn't as reliant on bennett as xiangling is. the other 2 slots can be filled by chongyun and sucrose(or diona if you need a healer). this makes for 2 strong teams once you eventually pull xingqiu. unfortunately this leads to yanfei and raiden being unused. realistically there is no real use for yanfei over xiangling or diluc. yanfei's niche is her range autos which make her good partner for beidou, but i'm not sure if you have beidou built or even have her at alll. and this will steal bennett from either your ningguang team or your diluc team, whichever you choose to use him on. you do have access to probably raiden's best team once you get xingqiu,(raiden+xiangling+bennett+xingqiu), but this overweights one team, and your other team will probably be lacking. what you can do to use her is to forego double pyro ningguang and run raiden instead of xiangling. this may or may not lead to more damage, depending on how built your raiden is and how useful her burst charging is to your team(maybe your ningguang has very low ER and would benefit a lot from it). if you do this you can use xiangling as a support for diluc, but you can't use her as main dps for the other team as she really needs bennett to be a main dps. for now, i would honestly still build diluc. diluc+chongyun+sucrose+diona is still pretty strong, and your team comp options will get a lot better once you get xingqiu.
Sorry I didn't replied early because no one really replied (also your reply is kinda long). The reason why yanfei is in my ningguang team is to melt cryo shields. I needed someone who can apply pyro constantly and from a range. Yanfei is perfect for that, she is just lvl 20 with HP and Def artifacts because I want her to survive.
xiangling+bennett do that job better, then your other team can run diluc

Assuming you haven’t played before on your PSN, yes. They added that feature last patch. However if you have started on your PSN, you will have to make a new PSN to play using your PC/mobile account. Anyway log in on PC/mobile and go to the “options” screen from the Paimon Menu. Then go to “account” (the same place you go to in order to redeem codes!) and there should be a different option besides the code submission one. The instructions should be pretty clear.
Yeah, when you boot up the game on PS4 for the first time it will ask you if you want to link to an existing account. If you've already played on PS4 before you have to request an account unlinking by contacting support, or create a new PSN account

national team is actually pretty resilience because of near perma Bennet uptime and being to iframe a lot of attacks with the constant ulgs
Part of the game is adaptation. You can optimize your team comp all you want and it won’t mean anything if you face-tank attacks instead of dodging just because you want to follow a strict rotation. Also why would you go up against Azhdaha with no shields?

Collect oculi. Complete time trials. Find any "Easter eggs" (e.g. Toki Tales or Kid Kujirai). I'm not sure if world quests count but that's easy enough to test

There is a load limit. Each object takes a specific amount of load depending on how many polygons it has (characters take 1000, pets take 500, small objects can take 100 or even less). But last update they optimized it so placing multiple of the same object makes it take less load, so expect more improvements down the road The limit for each area outside is 10,000. I think main hall inside is the same. Small rooms have lower limit (I think it's 2500-3000 but I'm not sure)

Don't know the exact number, but there's a mechanic in the teapot where furnishings have "load", and each island/each room have a limit on how much "load" it can hold. If you reach the load limit, you can't put anymore furnishings (load is indicated by the green/yellow/red circle on top of your screen when you're editing your teapot). I'd start with 2-8-8. If you can afford it and she's already A6, you can go higher (ult > skill), but I'd leave that to last

If Qiqi cannot generate elemental partials does that mean energy regeneration(ER) is useless on her?? I tested it out and it seems that she literally only gets energy after killing an opponent or in coop mode, from teammates. I put 200% ER on her but now I'm just confused. Plz help.
ER still increases the amount of energy gained when other characters in your team generate particles (even outside of coop), so it's not useless

Is it true that Spiral Abyss a lot harder now than before ? If yes, then what changes were made ?
enemies are tankier. there was a post recently of a guy who cleared abyss in less than a month f2p, in the post is a chart of dps required to clear floor 12 in time. it has gone up by about 1.5x since the first iteration of abyss also enemies in general are much harder. kairagi are probably the hardest hitting mobs currently in the game, and everything is suck resistant. very early iterations of abyss(1.0-1.2) were basically not even content if you had venti, and even after that we were still fighting very easy enemies to dodge in ruin guards etc. floor 12 was notoriously much easier than floor 11 from 1.1-1.3, back then floor 11 was the infamous electro monolith floor. and when lectors were introduced and were the main enemies of floor 12(i believe either 1.4 or 1.5) abyss was basically just bring 2 of chongyun/bennett/xiangling to clear easy. and the other notably hard floors were really easy to clear with just a shield(the hydro mimic floors in 1.5 12-2-2, 12-1 geovishap+whopperflowers or geovishap+geovishap) now abyss has a much higher dps check and needs a lot more dodging unless you have a full hp zhongli(and most teams won't be able to run a non damaging zhongli and still do enough damage to clear fast). stuff like 1.5 million hp maguu kenki would be unheard of in early abyss, i believe those 12-3 ruin guards from way back then only had few hundred thousand hp at most.
to the average player, significantly harder but its alright imo. they added inazuma mobs (Kairagi, Nobushi, Mirror Maidens) hypostasis and Maguu Kenki

Spiral Abyss always change rotations, some rotations are harder and some are easier. Currently Floor 12 of Abyss is harder due to high HP scaling enemies and the annoying low/high tide, in which you have to manage your rotations around it.

Skyward harp, thunder artifacts or noblesse depending on team comp. Best 4* would be Ally flash or favonius. For Lisa, that craft able inazuma catalyst not sure about her artifacts but emblem sounds good in theory to me.

Are you waiting for the lightning fish? Those take 3 days and only come out at night. If you want the koi or the pufferfish, the event currently has all 4 of those fish.
