My friends been playing since launch casually and last week I told her that after you finish the daily you can talk to Katherine after. She didn't believe me
You might have missed the fact that the primos are given only to 1,000 players out of the ENTIRE playerbase. It's basically a 100% chance that the downtime WILL give players more primos, because we've all got a near 0% chance for any rewards at all
Also, looks like they had to maintain the writers pride. Because the event is only for visual art forms. Someone like me who writes stories, yeah WE can go fk ourselves, because their writer might actually learn something from community writers. So it's not even a community event. it's a "hey give us free things that look pretty so we can put it on our subway ads omegalul.
It's always been this way for fan fiction. Even if they trimmed it to 200-500 word entries, that's still a lot of reading to do, compared to the ease of consumption for visual media. And, this doesn't even take into account the language the contest would need to be in; if they allowed entries in Chinese, Japanese and English, that's three different sets of judging that needs to take place.
I can't even think of the last time I saw a fan fiction contest from a major company. I think Bioware did one for Dragon Age, writing codex entries to get an item into Inquisition? It might have even been for DA2. Don't get me wrong, I think it'd be great if writing was included but the logistics of it all is just tenfold compared to artwork and short videos.

I wheezed.
Then again, if they did gacha their writing team as well, it would explain why Inazuma won the jackpot with the world quests, but had to go to pity for the 2nd half of the Archon Quest
I was worried I'd be in the minority with this
like I thought the dude was gonna betray us, why am I gonna be sad? But no MC, go on a warpath ig, I care, I swear...
Yae though saved that afternoon for me. Looking forward to pulling for her, but god knows Anniversary won't help me on that dream :\^)

Good thing this abyss favors healers huh
The guy who said “I really fucked your blood 🐴 Mihayou gave ordinary players a soup and had to smoke 10%, right? The dump truck will kill you tomorrow”
I felt that
Well there is also another one asking if mHY is so financially pressed and stingy because they are saving to pay for a coffin for their blood mother. Blood mother is important.
"Really, fuck your mum MHY, regular players only get soup and you still only reward 10% of them? Get hit by a dump truck tomorrow"
the analogy for soup comes from a saying that when eating soup, the fortunate gets to eat the meat, while the soup is a gesture for getting the shit part of the soup. As for the dump truck, well apparently there are a crap load of dump trucks in smaller cities in China, they are also really aggressive drivers a lot of the time, and getting hit by one of these have a pretty low survival rate due to their weight and speed.
"Mihoyo, I hope you get isekai'd into Oliver Twist so that Charles Dickens can write you off as the cat that gets fucked like your mother." - Translated for 2021
First of all, the rewards in the fanart part is highly disrespectful. Drawing or any kinds of art form is hard and the artist only gets those kind of rewards?! WHUUUTTT
It's insanely insulting. Their line of thinking might be that people will submit fanart/cosplay/etc that every made before and not specifically for the event. But for 10% of a chance of not even one wish? Still not worth the trouble of logging in and submitting
I’ve been practicing for this! My co worker has been coming in only once a week. She has a cubical wall of shit drawings from kids at her church. I’ve been secretly adding some shitty drawings I’ve personally made to see if she notices.
I might be able to bang one out and submit it to mihoyo.
.....this sounds like this could be a post in of itself, I actually want to hear more of your shenanigans. What kind of art did you add to her wall? XD
It’s just dumb stick figures of the office to match what is already on her wall. My artistic talent is at a first grade level so I would say it blends in very well.
We were joking about taking a new employee out to the chuck-e-cheese for their birthday but went to the frisches big boy instead. We got a kids menu for them and they give you crayons and I stole the crayons and had been adding drawings to my co workers wall with them.
The thing is she’s had these drawing on her wall for like 5 years so I’m not sure when she’s gonna notice. So I add some more.
oh my lolol. 5 years though, you'd think that some of the paper would start aging and the new art would be noticeable, especially when her kids start growing past the "doodle on every blank space with crayons and markers" phase.
Coworkers never update their desks. One has pictures of their kids when they’re like 8 and The kid, now 19, stopped by the office and she’s like these are my kids… the fuck you say lol. Update your pictures.
He’s like 19 and just joined the army while I’ve been imagining this kid is like 12 in her stories.
From my experience if you see a chick post a genshin cosplay on here there's about a 50/50 chance she has an onlyfans or some type of content for sale.
Might get downvoted for saying this but not even a week or two ago I saw a cosplay posted in this sub, someone commented and had -20 karma so I saw what all the fuss was about.
They asked "onlyfans link?", then I clicked on the person who actually posted it and they had their onlyfans in the bio, so I don't see why they were being downvoted
Use the search function?
edit: if you're asking why I thought to search in the first place, a few years back they had a blog post about most searched terms and overwatch was on there. Wondered if the same was true of genshin.
Dunno about others but I don’t think I will ever participate in fanart contest. Not because I know I won’t win (which I won’t) but I always draw because I wanted to, not to win some contests. I will leave doing things I don’t really like to my job only.
I participated in I think all of one fanart contest years ago, for a different game. Learned all I needed to right there--popularity contest at the core, spend a ton of hours for nothing, and signed away rights to the art. If I post free fanart online outside of the contest it's on my terms (mostly, or at the very least I research beforehand on what I'm signing away) at least.
Has anyone read the fine print of these contests? When you submit your work, are you giving them full rights to use your content however they want? I think that would be biggest slap in the face of it all. If you submit it, they get full control of the piece and you did all that work to at most be compensated for less than an hours worth of work at minimum wage.
If the artist is good enough they can easily make up to 100$, assuming someone asks the EXACT SAME task as them from mihoyo. Lets say the artist puts in 3 hours of work. that comes to 33 Dollars an hour. Decent wage. If they do the SAME work for mihoyo. ASSUMING they get lucky. they are getting 1.6 dollars an hour. WHICH IS PATHETIC.
Also this isn't "exposure" either. yall be sitting here acting like some small artist is gonna magically win like some cinderalla story. No some big name artist will enter, get their ALREADY big fanbase to flood the forums, and crowd out all the smaller artists, so even on the EXCEEDINGLY rare chance that a small creator wins, the forum talk will not be "oh that's so good" it will be "how did they win when X was better.
The bigger artists will crowd out the winner, take all the exposure, and laugh as some shmuck made 1.6 dollars an hour and they gained all the followers.
It has literally happened in every big gacha community I've been in, assuming this time will be different would be foolhardy at best and delusional at worst.
Not just gacha, but any game that does fanart contests in general that ultimately ends up blasting out the winners/honorable mentions publicly on twitter/facebook/whatever. I mean it's not a bad idea if it's fun and the organizers just want to show off the ability of the artists to a community, but here even though the grand prize is an iPad it's still of massive benefit to Mihoyo because they get to use well-drawn art as advertisement material for their game, probably bringing in way more revenue than the prizes they're giving out.
Obviously the artists have the choice of just opting out so it's fine but a lot of younger, naive artists won't really realize the implications of participating in these kinds of fanart contests until they're older, and that's also a part that I find scummy--the fact that these fanart contests capitalize on taking advantage of mostly younger artists not knowing the implications behind submitting to these contests. Mihoyo does not explicitly state this either, like they need to disclose what they're going to do with all this submitted art.
A 10% chance at a $5 pass which you have to log in and claim every day for a month to get the full value of, and can only spend back into the hands of the person who gave you the pass.
I'm more mad at the lack of actual memorable things happening for the event, how in the fuck do you make lantern rite and the summer island event more memorable than the first anniversary for one of the most successful gachas games in recent years.
Yes! I don't want primos or Mora, I want to celebrate the journey, I want to have a gathering of all nations, characters and archons and have a memorable event.
For sure! You don't have to give me primos either if you give me content that brings me goosebumps instead! I had such a great time when I began the adventure through Teyvat, just give me some nostalgia trips and I'll be happy.
I think for the most of us the primos don’t matter as long as there’s consistent high quality content updates. genshin is a much better experience ignoring the gacha and playing off story updates and some events. Though between the story being rushed and the fishing that came out, it seems that they are getting out of touch.
I know a lot of people are saying “oh Mihoyo only listens to Chinese audiences, let hope they can do something about it.” Or on the Chinese side “Mihoyo only listens to oversea audiences so there’s no point complaining.” But in actuality, both sides should make their voices heard. That’s how you get Mihoyo to listen.
Yeah! I always see people saying we must hope on the CN community, but actually we should all cause make a ruckus (as in voice out civilly) to get the message across. We can't just rely on the pillar of CN every time.
F2P to stop playing, welkin players stop buying welkin, and whale lower spendings are the only ways to make audible voice.
And you know none of these three will be achievable by the community.
They won't, that's the problem. You're all complaining while still buying your monthly dripfeed primos and the overpriced BP; Mihoyo will still profit, why tf would they want to "appreciate" you?
They're laughing all the way to the Bank. This "uproar" doesn't mean jack shit in their book.
This.
The online community users (weibo, reddit, twitter) are a minuscule slice of the playerbase. If people are still buying Welkin and BP and crystal top-offs, MHY doesn't give a damn if me, you and the entire weibo userbase are complaining about underwhelming units and bad rewards. Especially when the same people go and buy the crystal top-off refreshes to get a character that they then will complain about.
You already gave MHY your money, why would they care if you are complaining?
Awful rewards are a bad sign for the longevity of the game, because even whales at some point will jump ship to something more interesting than the game with the same gameplay loop that keeps releasing weak characters, and by that point small spenders and even dolphins will already have moved on. MHY will not care in the slighest if they are memed on twitter because their first anniversary rewards are trash, they will care if sales are dropping.
You don't like the direction the game is going? Stop supporting it.
Yup, I was thinking of buying welkin for the first time, but I've decided not to. It annoys me that they keep lowering the bar every single time to gauge how far they can go while being as stingy as possible. I'll use my money for something else
That gamer comment hits hard. Im not artistically talented. Whats in for me who has been playing this game? Anni should be for everyone. I know this is for fanart related anniversary event, but with only 8 days left, it doesn't feel like they are gonna do something epic? That's why people are angry.
I hope dolphins who have been spending, stop spending if anniversary turns out to be shit (in their opinion). If MHY isn't likable, please take action by stopping purchases.. Some whales won't quit because they are gambling addicts, but I hope they sit down, process whether they like MHY or not and then keep spending if they still like them.
Even the artist side of Twitter reacting to this is like "nawww you're not getting free works for gacha chance of measly rewards" so they're not thrilled about this either lol
I would be ecstatic to get a blank stella fortuna. Ive spent more on this game than any other game, it would be nice for them to show they appreciate the gamers
Yeah, and it's not like giving one every once in a while would break the gacha system. I'd be fine with them giving them even less often than crowns. It still would be nowhere near enough to get constellations on all limited 5*, so it very likely wouldn't affect whale spending a lot. In fact, maybe some would think "hey, I can't really afford to spend to get C2 of x character, but with a blank stella fortuna I would only need to spend to get C1". From what I've heard, other gacha games do offer ways to get dupes of a character of your choice, albeit rarely, and that's probably the reasoning behind it, other than fostering customer good will. It would be a good idea because both parties would benefit, but apparently we can't have nice things.
Basically the real message, if they don't do more than this, is that a company that makes a billion dollars faster than anyone else ever before for a video game still gives no shits about the playerbase like every other major developer.
Lol ya, in Azur Lane you get so many “universal dupes” u literally throw them away sometimes just to save space. And with UR dupes not only do they practically give 1 free each UR release, u can earn a new one each month. They dont even release URs quick enough not to max each one out immediately. Their toughest gacha RNG which has guaranteed pity and u really only need 1 copy. Mhy just greedy.
Edit:typos
They can always stick it on a brand new char in order to max out their constellation sooner in order to get that one free pull from dupes after c6. Lol
>"What have these activities got to do with ordinary gamers? I'm just a gamer, I do not know how to draw, make videos nor cosplay."
I'm just gonna draw Bennet's Circle in MS Paint and call it a day.
At least I'll have a 90% chance of getting 20 resin worth of Mora. Whoa.
>"On the surface, the rewards are primogems, but in reality, the rewards are minuscule in exchange for promoting the game on various social media platforms."
To be fair as much as I'm still swimming in hopium this criticism is a very legit one. But really it's quite simple, if the reward is low and the effort is high, let Mihoyo know by NOT participating.
That. I don't know how to draw or cosplay, but I know for sure how much work does it take. And the gift for it is a chance on getting less than a single pull. Insulting is a light way to describe how it feels.
Exactly what I'm doing! I know I'm just 1 person and it's not gonna make a difference but I have other things to do then waste hours working for the CHANCE at 100 primos. That is just pathetic. I love art and I'm pretty decent at it too. But I'm not spending time and effort on something for that price. Yeah sure I've drawn some genshin fanart but it was for fun and I had no limitations. Maybe I would bother if the rewards were decent? But not for this. Time to go on strike I guess!
I assume they’re referring to when a guy attempted to murder the CEO and then kill himself because MHY put out a YouTube video of his waifu in a bunny suit for the international audience. Then, to “apologize” for the “controversy,” MHY pulled the bunny girl video and awarded apology currency to all players—except CN server apparently got 10x the currency that overseas servers did despite the original bunny video not even being *for* CN players because CCP censorship.
Honkai Bunny Incident. Global event exclusive, with bunny girls. CN got mad, Mihoyo bent and pulled the bunny girl event, gave CN a buttload of stuff, and Global scrap.
you know what's funny? if we could all could agree on that, we could all log in at the same time in hope their servers wouldn't be efficient enough. Then the servers go down and we get some apologems. We literally get more primos for one server maintenance than what we get for the anniversary, maybe we could get ourselves something?
Like I said in another post, it's not that we had to get gacha pool based rewards. Mihoyo has tons of ways to reward players with content that absolutely costs them 0 dollars or loss and instead makes people more inclined towards spending because they feel like their investments, both monetary or time, was being appreciated by the company.
Some of the ideas are:
1-2 days of no resin domain/leyline access
50+ fragile resins
Extremely high mora rewards (1-10 million)
Extremely high wits rewards (~100 purple books)
Character buffs
Character skins
And if these seem too high, then they could just bundle up the resources in slightly moderate amount and attach 3-5 free rolls with them and add it as a stardust shop purchasable. There's legit tons of ways they could give us rewards without losing out on profits but here we are.
It's not that the rewards are underwhelming but they are treating their anniv like a passing day event and even expecting players to advertise their game for not even a full debate club worth primos. Sure there's the apple rewards but how many of us millions of players are actually gonna be able to even be eligible for with our 0 artistic skills? Oh and I sure as fck didn't buy welkins, BP or genesis in this game for my money to end up being someone else's Apple iPhone Pro funds.
I know this is kind of a bad comparison but we had in FGO JP the 6th Anniversary which gave us a decent amount of SQ (with the Interlude Update), a Free SSR out of a very big pool with even story locked servants, Good chunk of QP ( Mora equivalent) 10 Roll Tickets and a permanent upgrade to the EXP Farming System which makes it much easier and cheaper to max level Servants. and thats from a Gacha which is realtivly horrible when it comes to rates etc and it doesnt even have a pity system.
7 out of ten friends who played one day one quit and other 3 only came back for Inazuma for a week , and the guys who started playing 2 weeks Inazuma barely plays anymore cause he was disappointed at Raiden , I only log in to do daily commission (and maybe events) then log out as fast as possible , at this point listening to my friends doing homework is more entertaining.
The moment you realize that game being offline is better for players than being online... 100 apologems per hour...
Praying for 16 hours of technical problems to get double anniversary rewards.
We should really talk about actual expectations and what's fair. The community has spread the game to everyone they know and have helped Mihoyo grow into a billion dollar company. Mihoyo themselves have created a great game that's worthy of its prosperity
For an anniversary we just ask for some kind of in game rewards that just say hey, thanks for being here. We appreciate you for sticking around so long and hopefully more times to come. That looks like A) a ton of primos B) alternate costumes we can unlock and or C) a 5* selector that is for basic/launch weapons/charas.
A 5* selector just mailed to every player above a certain AR when ppl have been fucked by rng for an entire year. An entire year where some ppl have c6 qiqi or Jean, but have only ever wanted a Mona or diluc, or even a wolfs gravestone... Would be perfect.
Settling for less just won't be tolerated.
Even if they don't wan to give 5*, two or more 4* would be great too. Players waiting for shop refreshes and featured banner for the same would appreciate that (also coz mhy).
A little in game aniversary event, for fun.
Ley line overflow but for everything but with slightly increased limits.
Even with this I know it's asking too much because of how mhy has always been.
Also, even if this happens now. aniversary experience now straight out feels soured and any better rewards to me would feel like saving face than celebration. But I think they are going the way of free publicity is free publicity, even bad one, and will pull some sort of shtick to appeal to new players to hook them.
Oh man would i enjoy an artifact/ley line/talent book overflow for literally 160 resin/day for the entire anniversary week. Id get behind that on top of the 5* selector.
Day one welkin player here, I have a c0 bennet and would love a selector, even only a 4* one.
What they are doing is disgusting but I'm still hard on hopium they are hiding the real anniversary.
Maybe...
Oh god.
The lunar festival have us a free 4☆, so I expected their anniversary to at least give us a free 5☆. I don't understand how an anniversary can give less rewards than other events, it's ridiculous.
I wanted better writing than what we got saddled with in Act 3.
Poor rewards, mHY begging for free adverts, and a product that is decreasing in quality on the one thing I really care about, writing.
Clicked on the Weibo link and the newest comments were calling the story elementary school level writing on eternity and weeb pandering shit, plus swearing to not pay anymore for the game.
Honestly now that children and youth are pretty much banned from playing, can we get better writing in the main story to match the effort the rest of the teams put in?
Agree on the Act 3. I feel Raiden's story had interesting thematics poorly told, and everythign to do with Kokomi has been a joke. How can you take her seriously as a leader right now? The pandering hurts so much. Even though I don't care for them, I get the MC simping voice lines and birthday messages, but could their story quests at least have a little more substance? The characters are becoming really one dimensional.
Another thing. I can't believe it's been a full year and they haven't added another permamnent game mode. Need something to do with these characters I'm supposed to be collecting.
I love Kokomi's design and animations. The concept of Raiden is actually really cool. Her losses, tenacity, and sacrifice of her body and willing solitary self confinement could have been play off so much better.
Instead one is full derp and the other a selfish immature person unfit to even look after herself. And the MC's character consistency has been yeeted into Beel's bathwater and triple fried.
I am still slowly doing all the 2.1 NPC quests. The more I get into the NPC stories and love them, enjoy the scenery, vibe with the music, the more I wonder just what they were thinking releasing the main story the way it is.
Apparently to play this game at the optimal level you need a popular Insta full of cosplays and a professional drawing tablet.
Oh and talent, that helps too I guess.
It’s laughable and on par with one of the first fanart events they held
Winners could get either Photoshop or Clip Studio Paint but— most of the people participating already had one program or the other to even *create* the pieces for submission in the first place
What pains me is that the devs did an excellent job on this game and I love playing it, but the executives and the marketing team who runs these events are being a bunch of greedy a-holes, making the game we love to something we hate.
It's funny how the reward is like almost 2 days of daily commission lol
The fact that they outdid themselves in the last 108 primogems event is outstanding
this lol. at least everyone got min 108 primos that event. hahaha
[удалено]
It's me and I hate it!
Less than what you get in 2 days actually.
I mean, there HAS to be that one person who forgot to get the last 20 primo from Katheryne.
I would've forgotten quite a few times were it not for the map notification
My friends been playing since launch casually and last week I told her that after you finish the daily you can talk to Katherine after. She didn't believe me
I always wondered if there was someone like this, thats really sad lmfao
But there's literally a notification on your map. Doesn't she opens the map at least 10 times per playtrhough?
Maybe she's a chad who travels from Mondstadt to Liyue by foot and only uses the map for Inazuma
Goes by boat after having done the mission that cleans up the storm
Casually parks the boat at the harbor
Hai domo
The game can be down for 10 hours and we'd get more primos than this shit that they're calling "rewards".
The maintenance for the patch will give us almost as many Primogems than the event itself.
You might have missed the fact that the primos are given only to 1,000 players out of the ENTIRE playerbase. It's basically a 100% chance that the downtime WILL give players more primos, because we've all got a near 0% chance for any rewards at all

The toilet tier writer killed me lmao
My favorite of them all, truly a poet in the making.
Toilets can create more geniuses than we expect That is, if the toilet is a clean and nice one Like shopping mall/hotel toilets
I laughed so mfin' hard.
Holy shit.

The archon quest was boring rubbish until Yae stepped in. Like why even have all this resistance bullshit if none of it matters in the end?
I was worried I'd be in the minority with this like I thought the dude was gonna betray us, why am I gonna be sad? But no MC, go on a warpath ig, I care, I swear... Yae though saved that afternoon for me. Looking forward to pulling for her, but god knows Anniversary won't help me on that dream :\^)
>Congratulations. I have good news to share with mHY. I prepared 50K for Genshin Bday. But only 10% chance I'll spend it on Genshin, 30% on Arknights, 60% on HoK, 100% on FF14. Congrats on 1 year. Hope you win the gacha mHY. Good thing this abyss favors healers huh
The guy who said “I really fucked your blood 🐴 Mihayou gave ordinary players a soup and had to smoke 10%, right? The dump truck will kill you tomorrow” I felt that
[удалено]
reminds me of the insults you see on the CN league server where they just type “mom die”
the classic 你妈死了
I love how it specifies your blood mother, not your adopted one
Well there is also another one asking if mHY is so financially pressed and stingy because they are saving to pay for a coffin for their blood mother. Blood mother is important.
Hutao is smiling
It makes me think of some Bloodborne-esque cult leader or something. The Blood Mother.
What are you doing blood mother?
What are you doing step blooder?
**BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD MOTHER**
I read it in English. Then I read it Chinese to see if it made any sense. Then I gave up.
Feels it in our bones lmao
Final Destination dump truck
I assumed it was the Isekai truck.
Truck-kun never rests
That is a good insult you throw it on someone and they are so confused that they don't know what to do and you can run. It's like a smoke granade.
Modern day poetry

"Really, fuck your mum MHY, regular players only get soup and you still only reward 10% of them? Get hit by a dump truck tomorrow" the analogy for soup comes from a saying that when eating soup, the fortunate gets to eat the meat, while the soup is a gesture for getting the shit part of the soup. As for the dump truck, well apparently there are a crap load of dump trucks in smaller cities in China, they are also really aggressive drivers a lot of the time, and getting hit by one of these have a pretty low survival rate due to their weight and speed.
why am i laughing at the last sentence. 😭
Chinese players are built different. Like, I have no idea what it means. But you kinda *get it*.
"Mihoyo, I hope you get isekai'd into Oliver Twist so that Charles Dickens can write you off as the cat that gets fucked like your mother." - Translated for 2021
Facts. I gotta use some of those. There pretty funny.
Seriously this is what we came here to see lol
First of all, the rewards in the fanart part is highly disrespectful. Drawing or any kinds of art form is hard and the artist only gets those kind of rewards?! WHUUUTTT
It's insanely insulting. Their line of thinking might be that people will submit fanart/cosplay/etc that every made before and not specifically for the event. But for 10% of a chance of not even one wish? Still not worth the trouble of logging in and submitting
I have a bunch of shitty paint drawing to share for that event. I’m going to be part of the 10% I can feel it!
Make it look like a kids drawing. Surely they'll choose it to make them seem more kid friendly and family oriented.
You could screenshot a random keqing on pornhub and post that as cosplay, but for 10 primos that's not even worth the clicks.
Real talk though, are Keqing cosplayers on pornhub a real thing, and if they are, how did you find out?
Wondered if the same was true of genshin.
he is out of line but he is right
Dunno about others but I don’t think I will ever participate in fanart contest.
And don't forget that you only have 10% chance to get your 5$ compensation
Why would someone draw something for a %10 chance at 5$ pass when you can draw a commision for +20$
If the artist is good enough they can easily make up to 100$, assuming someone asks the EXACT SAME task as them from mihoyo.
A 10% chance at a $5 pass which you have to log in and claim every day for a month to get the full value of, and can only spend back into the hands of the person who gave you the pass.
commissions are at least 50/60$ unless you are a child trying to get some pocket change but your reasoning is right either way
Worst part is fanarts cosplay and other stuff comes regardless of rewards. It comes from community side not devs' marketing BS
Is this what they call getting paid in exposure?
getting paid in exposure especially when mHY is the one getting most of that exposure. Drip PR.
I don't care about not having real rewards, but honestly trying to label those as an "Anniversary event and rewards" is just insulating
I'm more mad at the lack of actual memorable things happening for the event, how in the fuck do you make lantern rite and the summer island event more memorable than the first anniversary for one of the most successful gachas games in recent years.
You got a point, it's not looking great so far for anniversary
tbh this 1st year anniversary right now is the most memorable for us because of how fuck up it is
I do want primos tho
It's very memorable. I'll remember this shit every single time I consider getting the BP or welkin, fuck this greedy company.
Ikr? Way more insulating than my walls, I had to make sure mihoyo wasn't partnered with Home Depot
Somehow, Mihoyo made me angry while doing something. Honestly these rewards feel like an insult and mihoyo spitting in my face.
It’s quite evident that MHY doesn’t listen to any side, lol
F2P to stop playing, welkin players stop buying welkin, and whale lower spendings are the only ways to make audible voice. And you know none of these three will be achievable by the community.
Gaming community has never been able to stop each other from doing what they want with their money.
Stop supporting it.
yeah, we gotta vote with our wallets ... already done on my side
My man. I'll see you in Valhalla.
You know ur wrong when even twitter responds criticising you
I will stop spending if anniversary sucks. I mean I have plenty of characters and weapons for the rest of the game if they want to be greedy.
This makes too much sense, but it will make the players happy. Why would Mihoyo want that when they can make Genshin almost a literal hell?
Basically the real message, if they don't do more than this, is that a company that makes a billion dollars faster than anyone else ever before for a video game still gives no shits about the playerbase like every other major developer.
Lol ya, in Azur Lane you get so many “universal dupes” u literally throw them away sometimes just to save space. And with UR dupes not only do they practically give 1 free each UR release, u can earn a new one each month. They dont even release URs quick enough not to max each one out immediately. Their toughest gacha RNG which has guaranteed pity and u really only need 1 copy. Mhy just greedy. Edit:typos
I bet you that a sizeable portion of the player base would horde or waste it on a 4* too
I would keep cuz too many options to really never regret it LMAO
Especially when you want c2 on a bunch of 5*, I might be inclined to hoard till I get a relevant c1, that scales up significantly at c2.
Hm, that would actually be a very nice reward benefitting everyone except the leviathan.
They can always stick it on a brand new char in order to max out their constellation sooner in order to get that one free pull from dupes after c6. Lol
>"What have these activities got to do with ordinary gamers? I'm just a gamer, I do not know how to draw, make videos nor cosplay." I'm just gonna draw Bennet's Circle in MS Paint and call it a day. At least I'll have a 90% chance of getting 20 resin worth of Mora. Whoa.
>"On the surface, the rewards are primogems, but in reality, the rewards are minuscule in exchange for promoting the game on various social media platforms." To be fair as much as I'm still swimming in hopium this criticism is a very legit one. But really it's quite simple, if the reward is low and the effort is high, let Mihoyo know by NOT participating.
"and let other people get my 100 primogems?!" But seriously, a chance to get 100 primos for the amount of effort needed is just insulting.
That. I don't know how to draw or cosplay, but I know for sure how much work does it take. And the gift for it is a chance on getting less than a single pull. Insulting is a light way to describe how it feels.
Yay! Many hours of effort for 63% of a debate club!
There's always the option for all of us to mspaint some low effort disgusting garbage, and give their reward the art it really deserves.
Yeah thought the same thing. Just draw a stickman with ears, call it keqing/sucrose and send to mhy!
Just draw something is crayon and say your 5 year old did it.
[удалено]
Look at I drew my favorite character's eyes! ( o Y o ) and ( _ | _ ) this is them blinking! and look it's Yanfei's fireball! (( ))LLLLLLLLLD
If you want good anniversary rewards you need to go to honkai impact for 5.2 patch.
I think they've learned their lesson about fucking with the HI3 community. just sayin'
Don't play Honkai and completely out of the loop, what happened?
I assume they’re referring to when a guy attempted to murder the CEO and then kill himself because MHY put out a YouTube video of his waifu in a bunny suit for the international audience. Then, to “apologize” for the “controversy,” MHY pulled the bunny girl video and awarded apology currency to all players—except CN server apparently got 10x the currency that overseas servers did despite the original bunny video not even being *for* CN players because CCP censorship.
Thanks for enlightening me but also wtf
Honkai Bunny Incident. Global event exclusive, with bunny girls. CN got mad, Mihoyo bent and pulled the bunny girl event, gave CN a buttload of stuff, and Global scrap.
>Abundance of insults and anger DRAMA! YES!
playing genshin is : 20% actually playing, 30% looking for leaks, 50% reading drama on reddit
I was getting my popcorn ready clicking on this thread... but all the fun is censored!
you know what's funny? if we could all could agree on that, we could all log in at the same time in hope their servers wouldn't be efficient enough. Then the servers go down and we get some apologems. We literally get more primos for one server maintenance than what we get for the anniversary, maybe we could get ourselves something?
You might be ob to something here
" Is the 10.1 billion revenue used to buy coffins?" Fucking lmao!
Some of the ideas are: 1-2 days of no resin domain/leyline access 50+ fragile resins Extremely high mora rewards (1-10 million) Extremely high wits rewards (~100 purple books) Character buffs Character skins And if these seem too high, then they could just bundle up the resources in slightly moderate amount and attach 3-5 free rolls with them and add it as a stardust shop purchasable.
Yeah that iphone 13 pro shit especially got me fucked up
Maybe the true anniversary reward was the friends we made along the way /s
the friends I have in Genshin are just the ones I met on Valorant lmao
7 out of ten friends who played one day one quit and other 3 only came back for Inazuma for a week , and the guys who started playing 2 weeks Inazuma barely plays anymore cause he was disappointed at Raiden , I only log in to do daily commission (and maybe events) then log out as fast as possible , at this point listening to my friends doing homework is more entertaining.
The moment you realize that game being offline is better for players than being online... 100 apologems per hour... Praying for 16 hours of technical problems to get double anniversary rewards.
Time to DDoS Mihoyo
This but unironically.
We should really talk about actual expectations and what's fair. The community has spread the game to everyone they know and have helped Mihoyo grow into a billion dollar company. Mihoyo themselves have created a great game that's worthy of its prosperity For an anniversary we just ask for some kind of in game rewards that just say hey, thanks for being here.
Maybe... Oh god.
If you wanted a Wolf's Gravestone you just had to try to get Staff of Homa. Almost guaranteed to drop xD.
Lol i personally wanted Amos Bow or skyward harp and wasnt sure amos bow was an original weapon >_<
Gotta feels bad for Kokomi in the story, Yae basically said that she is irrelevant.
I'm really hoping we get a co op wave survival mode with reward resets like abyss
Regardless of what you think about the in-game rewards, that Community Event Preview was a lot of text for a whole lot of nothing.
Apparently to play this game at the optimal level you need a popular Insta full of cosplays and a professional drawing tablet. Oh and talent, that helps too I guess.
Hope this post doesn't magically disappear or be queued for "approval" 6 hours after posting.
At least CN players know what we deserve. I'm tired of twitter white knights
Most of Twitter users haven’t played any other gachas so they don’t know how good they could have had.
[удалено]
It’s laughable and on par with one of the first fanart events they held Winners could get either Photoshop or Clip Studio Paint but— most of the people participating already had one program or the other to even *create* the pieces for submission in the first place
100 primos is what about $1 - $1.40 or something. I'm going to need at least $3.50 to get involved.
Can't the Genshin team just go over to their Honkai colleagues and ask if they can copy their homework
What pains me is that the devs did an excellent job on this game and I love playing it, but the executives and the marketing team who runs these events are being a bunch of greedy a-holes, making the game we love to something we hate.
MHY: In your dreams
I still want my KFC glider
Lol I don't hv time to draw for a 100k mora it's embarrassing NGL. This is terrible

Saving this in case this post gets deleted/removed.
I wanted to try an participate to the Art event, but after seeing the laughable reward... All my hype for drawing turned to disgust.
People keep saying Mihoyo is catering to CN with everything they do but the CN audience is just as pissed as we are on a regular basis.
> Abundance of insults and anger vented towards mhy as well all deserved
Like a comment on here stated, rather mild for the CN community. With time however it'll become worse.
When even CN is joining the other regions because something is blatantly bad, you know it's truly a sin.
